Great teacher. Keeps me awake in class. Makes learning the most boring subject very interesting. Definetely take him if you want a good learning experience. Keep on top of the work and you will pass.

He is a very good teacher, but his tests are a bit on the hard side, you have to study alot!! He is really nice and tries to make sure you understand all of the work before he moves on to the next subject.

This guy knows what he's talkin about. Anatomy wasone of the hardest classes I took at Brookdale.Having someone that is willing to help, answer those "stupid" questions really helps. Overall, I don't think I would've gotten a B without Crowder as by teacher.

Mr. Crowder is a great teacher. He explains everything in a language you can understand. He's so funny. Its obvious that he loves teaching A&P which makes learning in his class fun and less stressful. Although it is a hard class, he will keep going over the same thing untill you understand it.

Crowder is definitely my favorite teacher at Brookdale. He's funny and he explains everything so it's easy to understand. The class doesn't even crawl by-- never a a dull moment! A+++++ definitely take him!

I loved him! I really enjoyed his class, he makes the class fun and easy to comprehend. All his test and quizzes comes form his notes, so if you have good notes you won't need a book. I would really recommend this Professor for anyone who has to take a bio course:)

I love Crowder! He made my laugh hysterically. The class gets gradually harder through out the semester and the tests are somewhat difficult. But if you study you will do fine.

Crowder is a great professor. He makes Anatomy and Physiology fun and interesting. He's extremely helpful. His test and quizes are a bit difficult, but once you study and do what your suppose to do then you'll surely past. I would highly recommend this professor to anyone taking A&P.

Crowder is a great teacher. He is full of jokes, but if you pay attention to them - they help you remember the topics. He is repetative - but that's for your own good! The textbook is not really followed but good to use while in class & use the disc too.

He is a very nice teacher and trys to make class as fun and interesting as possible. quizes and tests are hard but if you study hard you should be fine. i would definetly take him again!!

Professor Crowder is the MOST AWSOME teacher next to Professor Fox. You will learn but don't be fool by his excelent teaching skills, you need to STUDY his tests are not easy they are meant to test your knowledge!!!

Very good teacher. He is comical and clearly explained everything, and wrote everything on the board for easy note taking. Everything comes from his notes, so you must attend class. By no means is it an "easy A", but you do learn everything you need to know for the tests. Study your notes and you will do fine.

I took him for both anatomys. He is definitely not an easy teacher, but supposedly second best to Dillon. You'll get used to his style of quizzes and tests. It's a subject you have to work for and he's not that bad to take for it.

BEST TEACHER AT BROOKDALE! As long as you take notes and pay attention, then you're good. He can find ways to relate stuff to everyday life. He writes the notes on the board and if you just read the notes, then you'll do well on the tests and quizzes. If you can't get an A then quit college and go back to elementary school. textbook not mandatory.

I was in class with the woman who posted the last four uber-negative comments. She hounded Crowder for a grade I guess she didn't deserve, and I guess she didn't get her way. He's kind of a tough teacher, it's true, but he's really good.

Great professor, i've taken an A&P class at Rutgers, and he is way better at explaining concepts. He is very good at helping everyone and making them feel like an important student! Sweet and funny professor, who seems to really enjoy his work!

One of the best professors I've ever had! Explains everything in a way you can relate to, doesn't rush through lectures, and seems like a genuinely nice guy all around. He's been teaching for "147 years" so he knows his stuff, lol!

I like how he makes jokes to not keep the class as serious and his tests and quizzes are. He doesn't spoon feed you the information. This class in general is very hard and a lot of material to memorize. If you study his notes non-stop, pay close attention to his lectures and basically have no life, you'll do great!

I LOVE Crowder as a person, and his lectures are always tolerable. It's just his quizzes and tests are extremely abstract. I studied my BUTT OFF, I went into this class knowing it was going to be difficult, but it brought my GPA down. You have to study the book, know intricate details, never rely on what he says in class. STUDY THE BOOK!!!

Great teacher. He knows his stuff. Everyone is right, his tests and quizzes are extremely hard, but if you study your notes WORD FOR WORD, you should do fine. He does try to trick you and we had to fight with him for extra points on the test, but overall he is a very nice teacher, and wants you to succeed. I would recommend him.

I got an A in Anatomy 1 and here's how I did it. It's not that hard. 1. Go to every class and take notes. All his tests are based on the notes, but the wording CAN be taken from the book. I use the books to reinforce whatever he talked about. 2. Lab was a joke. It's straight up memorizing and I didn't get anything less than a 98.

I am a nurse major and have taken tons of bio courses. He was the best professor for bio I've ever had. He is there for his students so he has an interesting fun technique to get you to pass. A&P is hard material but he breaks it down for you flawlessly. Wish there were more professors like him out there! Take notes attend class regularly.

A very comical professor. His quizzes & tests are extremely tricky. You will have to study his notes word for word and understand the concepts if not, you will fail. Really nice happy-go-lucky type of guy though. Does not do extra credit! I hardly used the book, just study his notes. Challenges- does not spoon feed you the information!

Prof. Crowder is a gifted lecturer and very friendly guy. He paints lectures with broad strokes, but gets microscopically specific and (maybe just a little) pedantic on tests. My suggestion is take excellent notes AND make sure to read the book. Overall, I sincerely enjoyed this class and would recommend it to disciplined students.

First of all, Anatomy is a hard class on it's own. Crowder is about the best Anatomy professor you can get. He's very clear with the material and he's willing to help you if you need extra help. Plus he's super cute so that gave me more of a reason to show up to class, which you have to do to pass this class.

This professor never takes a sick day off. He will attend class even if his hair was on fire. Tests & quizzes are very hard. His last test always seems to be the easiest- first test the hardest. STUDY, know your notes inside & out!!!!

Crowder is an excellent professor. Anyone saying he isn't clear with his notes, or is insanely hard either didn't try or thinks a class like AP should be a walk through. He's all about making the book understandable and his quizzes and tests are exactly what he prepares you for, but not cake walks. He's also got jokes for days. Take him.

Crowder is awesome. He's hilarious, caring, & extremely helpful. His notes are handwritten & excellent. However, do not take this class if you want an easy A. Ok, this is not kindergarten. If you are looking to be spoon fed, look elsewhere. I found Dr. Crowder hilarious. His notes are exactly what is on the quizzes and tests. Copy them word for word. I only used the text for the diagrams. Study the notes and you can't go wrong!

Anyone who says that Dr. Crowder's notes have nothing to do with the exams probably expected to get by just memorizing definitions. His notes include everything you need. But instead of memorizing definitions, you need to use it to understand the actual concepts. This is college, not high school. No one is going to hold your hand.

Crowder is actually amazing. The only thing is, is that his lecture course is as technical as anatomy theory can get. Ask him a question, he will answer until you get it. Must be on time (quiz is in first 10mins only) and gives great notes. *BE ADVISED: Uses very dry humor (which I found to be HILARIOUS)

A&P isn't a walk in the park. For those who are expecting an A & do nothing its not going to cut it. Dr. Crowder knows what he is talking about. Go to class, take all his notes down. Re-read notes after class & study hard. Quizzes come from notes along with his tests. A lot of information to obtain but just study everyday & you'll be fine!!

Dr. Crowder has a big heart. I had the toughest semester but he was there for me all along. I dropped the class & so did most of my classmates. It honestly isn't his fault. the subject is just hard. He doesn't teach by the book. don't try to memorize by definition either. He doesn't make shy students ask questions--make a face. Go to office hours!

Makes A&P interesting and keeps the class energized. He wants you to actually learn the material. Go figure that's his job. But not studying or waiting until the night before will not get you through his class. Study at least a week in advance and you should be good. The book is a life savior as well.

Dr. Crowder is a talented and knowledgeable teacher. His test are very lecture heavy, down to very minute details. So listen and take down everything that he says. Book was also helpful in clarifying some of the things but wasn't really necessary. His lectures are great, funny and he goes above and beyond to demonstrate and explain a tough subject.

I had Professor Crowder for AP 1 and 2. It takes a couple of quizzes and 1 test to really know how to study for his class and what he expects of you. Key to AP, pay attention, write down everything he writes on the board, ask questions and then complement with the book. He is amazing at answering questions. Best teacher ever!

Prof Crowder is honestly beyond amazing and hilarious! He actually wants you to understand this subject (specially if you want to further your education in the medical field). I took him for both A&P I & II. It honestly took me a couple of quizzes and one test to figure out how to study for his exams. His exams are tough but not impossible.

He's so awesome. The class isn't easy to begin with, but it's anatomy so don't expect anything less. His tests & quizzes come straight from the notes so it's not all that necessary to go by the book. Really funny guy, but also really caring, wants you to pass his class. just ask him questions, he is totally willing to answer, great office hours, uses full class time, uses Canvas, Exams and Quizzes are hard, he gives study guides. Go to his office and review with him, it totally helps you on the exams! Best of luck!

He's such a nice, funny guy and cares about his students. His lectures are great and he helps you break down the material so you can understand it, but his tests and quizzes are very difficult. Even after studying for a few hours I found the tests still challenging. He does give a review sheet to prepare for it before though, so definitely use it.

This is the best professor out there. Dr. Crowder breaks everything down for you. He makes a tough and boring subject actually fun to learn about. This isn't high school either kids, so if you aren't going to put in the effort and think school is a joke don't take him. However, if you care about your education he will help you succeed, no doubt.

Professor Crowder was great for A&P 2. Don't expect an easy A though. His lectures are thorough and he writes out all the notes on the board but is vague about what points are gonna be important on the exams. He is a pretty silly guy and is very nice and approachable. You get what you give with this class.

His tests are more conceptual than straightforward so can be hard. He does say to buy the book, but i only opened it to look at it once. His lectures are so clear, and he encourages questions (even if its just grunts). Office hours are very helpful. Really nice guy, above average professor. My problem was more with the curriculum. There is an insane amount of material that is required to understand. 80% of what you learn is outside of the classroom (you're teaching yourself). Quizzes are 10 questions & open ended but most of the questions won't even be discussed in class.

Really cares about the student, explains everything in a way that's very understandable. Very funny and outgoing . Exams are pretty tough however if you take good notes and study those notes thoroughly you will do well. Only used the textbook when we needed to look over something on our own however tests are 100% from the lectures he gives.

I took him at TCNJ, but he explains very complex subjects in simple and comedic manners that manage to stay with you. You have to go to every class because he has a small quiz for most classes. He is a relatively hard grader but if you put effort into what you write on your exams (all open-ended) and your labs, you'll do just fine.

Crowder gives *excellent* lectures. He was the absolute best teacher I have ever had. The lectures are kept interesting by his terrible pictures and actually great analogies. Endocrine and Repro are the most difficult sections. Be prepared to study, but you really only need his lecture material to pass. He never asked a question on anything else.

Crowder really cares that you understand his lectures. Yes he's chatty, gets off topic and is a little silly with analogies . To me that's what really kept my interest and gave me a good understanding of the material. Book wasn't necessary, everything on exams is what he went over in lecture. Take him, you won't regret it! He was made to teach.

Taking Crowder in a 6 week summer course was not easy at all. He is one of the best bio professors I've ever seen. He's caring to his students, extremely funny, and so smart. He cares that you know the material very well hence why his quizzes and exams can be challenging. But they are not impossible so study for them. I am going to miss his class

i took crowder at TCNJ and loved the class. he is funny professor and makes all of his classes engaging. you have to go to class, make sure that you get information because it is not all on the slides, he posts them all online tho. make sure you study well and know your information because you have to apply your knowledge. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!

I am a freshman just starting Brookdale, before starting the class I did read some reviews on here and was scared because most people said he was really tough, Today was our last class and the honest truth is, yes he is hard but what do you expect for a subject like anatomy, I truly like crowder and do recommend him, he really made us understand.

Definitely a caring professor. He makes his lectures fun and very easy going. Class is no cake walk and you have to put the work in to get what you want. If you study his notes and do some supplementary studying, you'll be good.

He is very accessible out of class. He prefers you go to him directly for tutoring which is a big help. Quizzes open-ended test multiple choice and open ended. Prefers you understand the concept rather than factoids. He is more than willing to answer any questions you could have.

I took this class during pandemic. So second half was very difficult. He did not lecture but gave us notes and was available on canvas chat during class time to answer any and all questions. There where only two or three of us there each time. This is a class you have to work for and dont blame the professor for your poor grades.

About to finish A&P 2 during the pandemic. Professor Crowder is a humble guy and will go above and beyond to make sure students understand explicit course concepts. I have a 95 in the course as of now, do not listen to the previous negative reviews; memorize EVERYTHING, work hard, stop being lazy, and stop complaining. This course is easy asf.

Crowder is such a funny professor and he makes concepts really simple to grasp. He loves when students ask questions. Had him for honors and I wish I could take him for 102. This class would have been better in-person. Goes off powerpoints but you must attend his lectures to pass and know what's on the exams.

I hated having to withdraw from this class, but I did so because my chemistry class had thrown me off course so much, I just couldn't focus. Professor Crowder was awesome though. I loved showing up for class on Zoom. He was engaging, thorough, and he was quite funny! I really appreciated how kind he was too after I told him about my chem class.

Professor is amazing and caring!! Hes office hours are always available for you to access, he gets back to every email ASAP!! Very understanding, and extremely helpful!! I would highly recommend him, especially if you are having trouble with bio !!

Dr. Crowder gets a bad reputation. If you come into this class with no previous biology knowledge, I can see how this can be difficult since there is no homework to practice any of the concepts you are being taught. However, he always answers questions from emails, and he has a spreadsheet of questions and objectives to know for the tests.
