Simply the best, such an amazing professor! really gets the whole class engaged in the discussion and makes sure everyone is on the same page. May seem like a silly guy but really he's a gem and a very intelligent man. Makes class feel like fun by getting us to sing songs too! Totally awesome prof, definitely would take another course with him!

It'll be the most fulfilling part of your university experience, guaranteed! Warning: he gets in your face and seems awkward. It's all in good fun

Although a difficult marker, James is a well of knowledge that every student should encounter. He breaks every convention in his teaching methods and leaves you unforgettable advices. Come with an open mind, and James will not only guide you in critical thinking or methods of reading and doing Philosophy; he will guide you to see the world.

Jumps on tables, and throws chairs against walls. Course reader is a complete waste of $50, but you need it in order to cite quotes for one essay. Will not take him again.

This professor stands out to me from my time at Ryerson as one who made me feel humiliated, picked on, and stupid everytime I was in his class. I eventually stopped going and just showed up to the exam. He wasted time daily rearranging the desks and picking on students in order to embarrass and mock them. Should have made a formal complaint.
