His lectures are going to drive you crazy. He repeats himself over and over until you want to pull out your hair. That said, he really makes statistics comprehensible, so much so that I'm changing my major because I've decided that I have a real aptitude (and passion) for the stuff. Thanks, JD!

His lectures are endless, but he makes the class fun and actually interesting. JD is a great guy...a little physco sometimes but in a good way.

Great instructor,always smiling, makes you laugh, he has a great heart and a REAL passion for statistics. He will repeat himself alot but its an easy A. His tests are open book open notes and as long as you can do his worksheets youll do fine on the test.

This guy makes the class easy. He does go off on tangets a bit too much tho, so it makes it hard to follow along with his lectures. He is a wacky kind of guy too, reminds me of "Where's Waldo." Nonetheless, he is a cool guy.

SHOUT OUT TO JD! (Cause I know he reads these.) This is by far my favorite teacher at Cal State. He turned the dreaded STATISTICS class into my absolute favorite class. He turns sums, alphas and mu's into something you actually want to learn. He really cares about the students. All around GREAT guy and GREAT teacher.

He's a really energetic and easygoing teacher. He wants students to learn things and get good grades....I really like his lectures.

It was confusing at first because I didn't get him yet, but after a while, he's pretty cool. He does care a lot about students so whenever you tell him you don't understand something, he does it so you understand it. He does use 1st half of class to talk about what's up around the world, but his lectures are helpful.

JD is a great teacher he understands that you can't learn all that material without notes. He let's you use notes and the book on the tests which allowed me to get A's. He taught the material well, so the book and notes just aided me in passing. Kinda of wacky but take him for SCM 210 you wont be sorry

The guy lets you use your notes and the book. However the exams and the homework are not a cakewalk in the least--so you have to study (it is college afterall). I got a C- on the first exam even with open book because I didn't study, but because I studied for the next exam and did all the labwork, I ended up with an A in the class. A good Prof.

Easiest teacher i have ever taken for econ... his true passion is Econ so he loves it and he makes the class understandable even for us who hate Econ like me.

JD is rad. He knows his stuff and is more then willing to help you out. He has the passion of teaching and it really shows when he teaches. He will do whatever it takes for you to understand the subject. I give him 2 thumbs WAY UP!!!!!!!

Very energetic & is always on the move. He usually shows one-two examples the whole class, but covers what exactly is going to be on the test & assingments. He clarifies what we dont understand in the textbook & in the lab. His test are pretty easy, since there open notes & open book! Take him, you'll actually learn something!

Don't worry about exams; they are open-book and open-notes. Plus the lab instructor are awesome as well. I highly recommend this teacher if you need SCM 210 next quarter.

I braced myself for statistics to be boring but this guy made it interesting... funny guy and a great teacher. genuinely cares about students' learning and his expectations are realistic. do the homework and take notes, problems discussed on the board very similar with exams. you really won't be needing the book on the test if you take notes.

He's a pretty good teacher because he goes over exactly what he's looking for on the exams. Being in class is very important because the book is almost useless. Plus, he takes role and it's part of your grade. Talked about the environment a lot which he tries to integrate into the class but it seemed to ease up once we got further into the class.

Really good professor. He likes to talk and is redundant at times, so some concepts will be pounded into your head. There are weekly response papers that he helps with, and two midterms if I recall correctly. The required text is on the dry side but you need to read some of it. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Interesting class.

He is very funny! Loves teaching and takes it seriously. Complete your MULTIPLE "aplia" assignments...they are easy just time consuming. Class is non-mandatory but you should GO, he will give you BIG HINTS for the test...main reason for my wonderful A.

I wish all my teachers were as easy as JD he's super chill, and very helpful. He goes on random tangents about who knows what. Gives exams review that are identical to exams and all homework is online. Grade is based on 2 exams and HW. He showed up a hr late to our final, everyone passed the class!

Seriously you guys, he is ALL OVER the place. I know he is very smart and he wants his students to be passionate about the environment and the impact we have on it, but it's difficult to stay engaged when he jumps from topic to topic and doesn't always stick to the curriculum. Just go to class -he'll tell you what he wants you to know.

He's over the place when he lectures but he knows his stuff. He always tries to be relatable and is pretty interesting. You will get a good grade as long as you show up to class. Labs are done in class and turned into blackboard. He also gives a study guide or review before the exam. Theres a midterm, final and a presentation.

I took Mr Dulgeroff for 200h and im taking him again for econ 201h. Hes a great teacher hes very goofy and hes a usc alumni which shows in his lectures with his quality teaching.

He is an amazing Professor. He gives out the study guide like a month in advance and he goes over it in class. He is funny. He also tells you what you can explain on the midterm. There is only 2 exams on midterm and final. He also takes attendance which is good because if you for example have a 79.5 he will round it up same with if you have a 89.5.

His lectures are pretty much everything. You're going to need to attend since he literally goes over the midterm and final with handouts. Tells you everything you need to know to pass his class and even gives extra credit. Goes off topic a lot, but is very friendly and nice. Encourages you to buy an older edition textbook.

So basically his class consist of 100 participation points/ 100 points of midterm and final. Final is accumulative but is hard because he crammed half of it and took his time for the other half.

There is no way you can fail the class. He tells you what you need to study for midterm and final, very very few homework assignments, extra credit available. he will answer any questions.

He's an awesome professor, SUPER passionate about economics and it shows. His lectures are boring, he seems to ramble but when it gets time to discuss the midterm and final PAY ATTENTION. Do his practice quizzes he puts up, go over the answers he gives you. Book isn't used or mandatory but it helped me with topics I was confused on. EASY A!!

He is a good teacher

He's an awesome funny professor. I learned a lot! He NEVER calls people out, so he makes coming to class very comfortable. Thankfully there are NO group projects! Attendance is mandatory. Two exams, you have to buy a 20 dollar program for homework but the homework is simple. Offers extra credit. He's a great professor. You learn without stress.

This professor was interesting. He would go off a lot during in class but overall he was a good professors. He admitted his mistakes in front of the whole class. He gave everyone extra credit so that way everyone passed. The material was kinda hard to understand due to his tangents. Overall he is an easy professor.

I took him online and he drops two quizzes that you did bad on, no midterms or final, the quizzes replace the test, and offers extra credit which is 100 points. Also one writing assignment and gives extra credit if you do it early. TAKE HIM ONLINE!!!!!

His online class is time consuming but if you stay on top of the assignments it is an Easy A class. He helps out a lot with quizzes, there is no final or midterm just homework and quizzes. 1 discussion board assignment about a movie.

I would take this online class if you want to go in depth with economics. This class seems impossible to fail if you do the weekly assignments and watch his weekly videos. It is an easy A if you put in the time and effort.

Although class is not required, just do all your work on pearson and you'll get an A for sure.

Professor is very nice and hilarious. You have to buy Pearson, where you turn in all your homework, quizzes, and readings it's about $80. Takes attendance and overall quality of instruction, excellent! Take him!!

Professor JD lists everything under weekly tabs and gives you unlimited time to finish ch. quizzes from panopen (fairly easy) but does ask to try to not fall behind since he gives us YouTube lectures the week before in prep for class and quiz. 1 discussion post, and easy participation points through zoom at times. Great professor!

Professor JD is truly my favorite teacher of all time. HIGHLY recommend him! Never used the textbook, just used PanOpen. Weekly homework & quizzes (SUPER easy). We only had 1 discussion post and a few PlayPosits throughout the whole semester. No midterm, no final, & no papers for this class. JD really just loves the earth & sharing it with us.

This professor cares about the earth so much. I wish I tried harder in the class because it is a semi-easy A if you try. He uses panopen hw & has one discussion and 4 playposits. He is truly devoted to his job and I love that you actually learn from his class because he makes it very interesting. Definitely recommend!
