I did not like his teaching style at all, it happened to be extremely boring. His grading is mysterious - no specific scale is given, it is so vague that at the end of semester majority of class had C/C- in average. Unfortunately the class was a waste of time and money. Wish there were a better prof teaching this class in Fall/Spring.

Reviews are 100% acurate. THE worst professor I've had at IUPUI. His class actually made me stupider. Horrible "grading" system. It is near impossible to get above a C- in this class. I cannot stress how bad this professor is. There should be another choice for this course. Bad for the Kelley School of Business. A complete joke of a professor and a joke of a class.

Wouldn't even be qualified to teach classes at a recreational center. If there is a god, this waste will be fired from the university.

What is this guys deal? This is a 1.5 credit hour class, yet he grades it like a phD course. His class met the first 8 weeks, and I took another class the last 8 weeks. I already have my grades from the second 8 week course, and Flynn hasn't even posted a single grade. Unprofessional and confusing, he should rethink how he does his course.

Class is useless drivel, will not ever be useful again. Grading is 25% participation, AKA talk in every class or fail. Gives no indication of grades during semester. Picks favorites quickly and ignores rest of students. 50% of grade is 9+ page paper graded like a dissertation. I've written a letter complaining to the school. This class needs to go.

This class is a mess. Its one of those classes where they try to complicate common sense with large terms, models, and metaphors that all point to the same point and the same idea. The paper, attendance, and participation are key. Be sure to follow the syllabus, or assignments will sneak up on you.

Joke of a professor and joke of a class. Grade is based solely on how much you sucked up during the semester. He babbles nonsense all semester and then expects a doctorate level paper at the end. Has never worked in the non-academic world, and it shows.

What makes this class very irritating is that he's the only one who teaches this class in semesters.Avoid him by all means! Take it in the Summer and it's an easy A!! Otherwise, boring lecture, never made any sense, and participation is mandatory to survive. if you participate, don't hope anything higher than a C.

Nice guy, however this class has got to be the most worthless class ever. Totally non-value added. Common sense stuff over analyzed and made extremely complicated. Grading system unknown and mysterious. Class is a great waste of money and a time vampire as well.

Class is only 8 weeks and I feel that I have not learned anything in this class. 2 texts required equaling over $100. Grades/assignments are not posted online or made available to any student. Prof also loses many papers.

He is disorganized and has a horrible grading scale. Hardly any clairity on the 15pg paper due at the end of the 8wks. I do not recommend this professor if you can help it. Take it as a summer course if you can!!

Class is very participant oriented, try to stay involved in discussion - he really likes those students. Assignments are given back but never with a grade. Won't know your grade until they are posted at the end of the semester. Great guy and interesting lectures, just wish I knew more about my grade.

There is no transparency in his grading. It seems like he picks a random letter grade for each paper. Seven short papers and one huge project all due during a 6 week course and ALL are group projects. He provided absolutely no guidance on how to improve or succeed in his class.

He is very vague with what he expects out of students yet he grades very harshly. He writes comments on the assignments that don't help explain what he wants. Hands-down the worst professor I've ever had! Do not take Flynn!

As students, we deserve to know where we stand in class, The grading seems very arbitrary and subjective. I expect, at the very least, a fair, objective, and ACCURATE grading system that is updated as the class progresses. Not a grading system that is subjective and harsh, inaccurate, and posted after the semester is over.

His grading was obviously biased towards those few students that rambled utter nonsense throughout the course that several of us were forced to file a formal complaint for academic dishonesty. If you end up in his class and you find any of these comments true, I urge you to file a complaint. A disgrace to higher education.

Did not tell us it was mandatory to purchase cases until two weeks left of class. Never returned assignments or posted grades until after our grades were submitted at semesters end. If he has had you in class before and likes you, instead of asking the class questions to encourage development he will call on them even when others hands are raised.

I switched up assignments due to his poor instructions and communication skills. So I tell him the problem, and he says its ok, I will accept your assignment. Just put a note in my email so I can remember, so I did that and even in the header of the assignment itself. Few weeks after the class is over I see a grade of "0". Emailed him, doesnt resp.

Hard to follow. Personally though, he seems like a nice guy.

No updates on grade throughout the whole semester currently in the last week of the semester about to take our final and have been given NO grades. Quizzes are 10% of your grade yet he never gave one. Attendancepartic. is 25% of your grade, he has never taken attendance and doesn't know anyone's name in the class. Last yr. he had a petition against him to have him fired that tells you right there somethings wrong. Subjective grader. Messy office. Disorganized. Procrastinating grader. You have to have what his opinion is or its wrong. Please avoid this teacher like the plague he is. PS. Ive never written anything bad about a teacher until now.

He rambles on about nothing. Then come test time you have no idea what is going on. Also, as stated by others, he is very unorganized, doesn't post grades and his tests are very difficult. There is no point in coming to class because it's mostly "how do you feel" discussion questions the whole time and no actual material.

No idea how I got the grade I did. Tests seemed like a foreign language, I didn't understand how I got the same exact grades as someone else and received an A when they received a C. Grades seem to be given out like he throws darts on a board and that's how you get your grade. Nice guy, very nice... but I'd rather learn from a Popsicle.

Professor Flynn is a good person, he is nice but he is not a good teacher. His lectures are meaningless, if you skip, you won't loose much. He is extremely disorganized and often irresponsible. Worst professor I have ever had. A 65% is considered to be "good" on one of his exams. He is extremely unorganized and will leave you wondering throughout the entire semester of whether or not you will pass. Do not go into I-core thinking this will be the easiest class. Everyone questions their grades and no one understands his so called, "curve."

This is the worst professor I have ever taken. He rambles in all his lectures, his slides are not in order and often have tons of typos. His grading is atrocious, when gets around to it. He grade harshly and off of emotion and nog any type of actual ruberic. I could go on, but I'll leavd it at this.. if you can avoid this class, do so at all costs.

Terrible. You can meet the requirements on every specific guideline and you will receive a C at best. He wont remember why he graded you a C. One time he said "I don't remember reading this page" when confronted on a grade comment. He won't respond to emails, and he will not post grades until he is forced to. Hard to respect him as a professor.

Flynn is a really kind person that wants to see you do well but he just doesn't have it figured out yet. He is very disorganized, want proof, go to his office. You won't hear about grades until the end of the semester which is annoying. MAJOR KEY ALERT - go talk to him in his office and you will do well, trust me. Participation is key to passing.

I ended up doing well in Flynn's class but he's a terrible teacher. He has little to no credibility, extremely unorganized and a wildly inconsistent grader. Make sure to attend as many classes as possible and participate in class and you'll do well in the end. I think he truly means well but he's just extremely incompetent, makes an easy class hard

Flynn is a good dude but probably the worst professor I've ever had. Super unorganized and has no idea how to wright a test. Each exam will have multiple mistakes and I'm pretty sure he doesn't use an answer key, because what is wrong on a multiple choice exam for me may be correct for my neighbor. He has no idea how to teach in an organized manner

Nice guy who cares but is INCREDIBLY unorganized. Show up, listen to lectures, and do the nonsensical papers. Decent curve in the end. The exams make absolutely no sense. DO NOT buy the Harvard Business Cases - you will survive without them. Every class example is tied into sports in some way.

I-Core is difficult enough without making Team Dynamics incredibly hard. He will not give you clear/consistent feedback on questions you ask him or on assignments themselves. The tests are pure luck. The highest score is usually an 85. However, you will probably still do well in the class, because there is like a 10% curve. Just be ready to stress.

Although this Professor is a nice person, this class is entirely useless. There is absolutely no grading criteria, we have no idea how we are performing on the papers that we right, the entire class discussion is biased and based on his personal views, and literally all of his examples have to do with sports which not all of us understand.

You would think defining leadership in your own words is subjective, but hell find a way to take off points. Worst of all, he never explains why you got the grade you did. Horrible.

Flynn was the worst professor I have had. Class is lectured based, but you probably won't know what he is talking about half of the time. Most assignments are in your ICORE group. Takes forever to grade, instructions are vague & not clear at all, & you won't know why you got the grade you got. Avoid him but you will be stuck with him through ICORE.

He is the most horrible professor ever in iupui and Kelley. He is so irresponsible. Be prepared for you exam to get lost because he will lose it and give you whatever garde. Do yourself a favor and dont classes with him.

Professor Flynn is a great guy and has good intentions but his teaching is very questionable. He won't grade your papers until the very end of the semester and the grades will not make sense. There are always multiple typos in his exams and directions on the projects. Be prepared to be stressed & there was no curve at the end of the class either.

Prof Flynn was not the best prof I have had. He was a very slow grader, and also a very tough grader. He was funny sometimes in the class, but an awful professor. He did not know how to teach. Honestly, the lectures also had nothing to do with his exams. I would not recommend him as a prof, unless youre up for a heck of a challenge.

Flynn absolutely cannot work a computer. One class he could get zoom to work so he canceled class. His test are impossible to understand with all the typos. You will wonder why you even attended class. He only got this job because his wife is high up in Kelley.

Flynn picks and chooses when he wants to attend meetings. I know several students who scheduled a meeting with him, where he "no-call, no showed". Hard grader, yet can't even formulate a sentence let alone spell a word correctly. Exams make no sense. He doesn't care about the students. The double standard in Kelley is ridiculous. Unprofessional.

PLEASE save yourself! Do not take this course with FLynn. He have absolutely no idea what he is doing. Vague instructions and very disorganized course. Assignments are just busy work. Also, he like to give random grades without rubric. This professor is below the Kelley standard, don't know why they still have him ruining students.

The worst professor of all time, why he makes money is beyond me. Lies about when he will grade and fixing your grade. Bad morals for teaching a class about having good morals. Could describe with inappropriate language but wont so you can see this. Should be an easy class but impossible unless you become his teachers pet. Puts in grade last second

This guy is literally the worst professor I have ever seen. There is not enough space for all of my complaints about this guy. He should NOT be a professor in the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI. His lectures are worthless, you have a pop quiz weekly, and there are so many grammatical errors on his exams you will be confused. Fire him.

Do whatever you can to not take his class. His expectations for work are usually unclear and usually gives everyone a C. His ethics and morals are basically nonexistent. You can't read much of the exam but he doesn't care. He puts in grades wrong as well. I don't know what Kelley was thinking hiring him as he makes the program look like a joke.

Flynn is an absolute embarrassment of a professor for any business school. He is awful. He spends the entire class talking to his PowerPoints which make no sense, and he often contradicts the slides themselves. I would equate Flynn to Joe Biden, this guy is losing it. I know he's I-core, but do whatever you can to avoid him. He is truly terrible.

This professor does not set clear standards for his students nor will he adequately prepare you for tests. He has so many typos in his homework and exams, and I feel the lectures just are not a good use of my time. Overall, the class just feels all over the place and very disorganized. If you take his class, you should get help from classmates.

His lectures do not make sense, also has hour-long videos to watch outside of class, and has multiple long articles to read. His exams are ridiculously hard, even when you feel you understand the concepts. He does not provide feedback as to why you received a certain grade for an assignment. He is just not the best choice for an ICore Professor.
