He's very understanding on students. One exam, a student wrote 4+1=6, but he gave partial points because he knew that student was smart enough to enroll in the Account class. He understands we've stress for exams. Explained very well, too.

He's very helpful and patient...have very good accounting knowledge...but thats coz he is a CPA. Overall...he is the best among all.

This man is the Energizer Bunny with three brand new batteries. He comes in on the minute, begins lecturing and doesn't slow down. It's sorta like the Michael Jordan mentality - you're here, you better play ball. I loved it. Pushed me hard, and I learned a lot. Great with students who want to learn.

Prof. Gale is wonderful! Summer session goes by in a breeze -- he always lets you out early, and he drops 1 of 4 exams. Exams are from HW and lecture, so go to class! If you don't go for the subj. matter, go because he has helpful & practical tips on career and personal finance, that he relates to the subj. matter. Can I marry him, too...? ;)

He's a very good teacher. You have to go to class and listen to what he says,cuz what he talks about is what is on his test. my friend recommended me to take his class, and i really thank her for it. 4 exams, drops the worst one; ends class early when done; he's a really good teacher, i would highly recommend him to anyone.

He lets you drop one test and the final is not cumulative so if you have the grade you want you don't have to take the last test. He does not make you memorize all the silly definitions so learn how to create the accounting forms and memorize what goes where and how to add them all up and this class will not be hard at all.

If you have serious plans/aptitude for accounting, I recommend this professor and class. If you're a liberal arts type who's curious about the basics of accounting (like me), skip or audit this class. His teaching style makes the material come alive, but this isn't the ideal intro to the subject. It moves pretty fast after chapter 2.

he's very goo teacher, if u come to class everyday and do the homeworks, tests are piece of cake... i mean he'll make you study, he' goes fast and if u really do ur things u'll be good to go. take him!! u'll learn a lot

I think he is the best teacher for accounting at NVCC. If you want to learn accounting and pass it with a nice grade, you should take him. He is the best.

I really liked this guy. I studied hard for his exams but it's worth it. He gives four tests and drops the lowest grade. Other three are cumulative: Total points/3=Your Grade. He is fast but very clear. Take him and you wont regret it.

Mr. Gale is very clear with what he expects. He goes very fast but just as long as you do the work and study, you should be fine. Not an easy A but also not impossible if you do your part and actually study. I would recommend him if you actually want to learn.

Super clear and informative teacher. Drops lowest grade out of 4 tests and if you have an A average from the first 3 tests you have an option of sitting out the final. Learnt a lot in the class because he has field knowledge and day-to-day interaction with his clients which is perfect. Study powerpoints in the book and you will be ok. Don't miss it

He Is very Helpful uses real world examples. If you want to understand You must attend classes and his notes are neat and cohesive. Also doing the HW and there is not much of it will definitely help you get an A on the tests!

Excellent professor, I took him in a six week summer program and wasnt crushed by the work. He tells you what you need to study for each test, and drops the lowest test grade with the option to not take the last test if you did well enough on the first few.

Tax I. He talks fast but will repeat the material if it is not clear. Tests are just like homework, open book and notes and he doesn't take a lot of points out of your grade if you make a mistake. Drops the lowest grade. Attend class, read the book, do your homewrok and get an easy A.

I took this class online so I guess I missed out on some of the fun described by other students. Mr. Gale was very professional and quick to provide feedback and answer questions(very important for online courses). I found the homework workload fairly light but did have to study a bit for the tests.

Jim Gale is one th best for ACC. But he is fast and if you don't understand him in nfirst two three classes, drop the class. Do your hw, and you'll do well in the exam. You don't have to do the hw on time, you can do b4 exam. His hw is easy, and hw is the same as exams. if you don't like his way of teaching take Ray Cook, he is relatively easy

Professor Gale is really a good one. He will tell you the material, he will show you how to do it, he will give you time to do it yourself (h/w) and then you will need to repeat the same on the exam. If you do your homework, you will have no problem at all in this class. He is also a good grader!

Smart guy, teaches his own material and doesn't rely on the text book very often. He is very clear in regards to exams, you will know exactly what you need to know for the exams ahead of time. Thumbs up.

Good Stuff...He gives you 4 exams and drops one. He pretty much tells you ahaed what exactly will be in exam. class finishes early 1 to 1 1/2 hr each week. His own materials and notes are great,,Bad Stuff..He talks fast..he never ask if you have any questions..But Overall I would highly recommend 99% never miss a home work if you want A Grade

Professor Gale is FANTASTIC! Because of his class & teachings, I LOVE and get accounting. 4 tests (ALL come from HW & handouts, no mltpl choice/tricks), lowest one dropped. Makes debits and credits crystal clear. Attend class (ends early), take notes (he talks fast so pay attention), read the textbook, and you can get an A. He's THE BEST..TAKE HIM!

took him for both 211 & 212. he's an awesome Acct. teacher! grade is only based off 3/4 exams, drops the lowest including final. The exams are directly off the notes and HW. So pay attention, SHOW UP to class, work with stdy-budy and your A is guaranteed! also he's pretty fast so stay on top of each class but he's slow enough to copy down notes :)

Mr. Gale is the best Accounting professor ever. He makes accounting so easy. I hate numbers and I Managed to get an A. All you have to do is attend class do your homework and for the exams you will see the same problems again. Plus, if you are happy with your grade for the first 3 exams you're done. No need to take final exam. Love him

I took his ELI 212 class and earned an A. Homework was worth 60% of the grade. Tests are pretty easy. They are 4-6 questions, usually one problem per chapter.

He was extremely helpful and teaches clearly. He also keeps the class engaged and interested in the subject.

The best ELI summer class I have ever taken.4 units of homework and exams. There are about 10 questions to each unit of homework and about a week and a half to do them. The exams are not overwhelming because they are about 5 questions long. Best thing you can do is read the chaper (semi-long) and watch the videos! Easy A if you are not lazy.

Show up, be on time, pay attention, and do your homework and an A or B is in the bag. Exams are straighforward, if it was in your homework, it's on the test. No drama, no frills. Knows his stuff inside out, he's the real deal.

Took ELI class: 4 tests straight from the 4 Homework assignments for the whole semester. Study the homework and you will get a good grade. As to professor Gale, he was extremely quick with replies to my questions and even sent out reminders of when assignments were due. Would definitely take him again.

He is the best professor i have had at nova, i took all three classes that he teaches and got an A in every class. It was after taking his class that i realized that accounting is fun and that's what i want to do in the future. His lectures are always very informative with lots of examples. I would definitely recommend taking his classes.

One of the best accounting teachers. The homework takes some time, but the tests are easy, as long as you study the material. He grades fairly and provides feedback. The test are only 3-6 questions and not multiple choice. Easy A if you do the work.

I took his three classes which are acc 1, acc2, and federal taxation1. He is the best professor that I have ever taken at NVCC, and he knows what he is teaching. You just need to attend classes, take good notes, and pay attention to his handouts. Then you are good to go. It is easy A and you will learn a lot.

I took the course online so i had to teach myself the material from the book. However in every dealing i had with Professor Gale he was very helpful. Do the homework assignments, and study those for the exams and you will get an easy A.

I took ACT211 from him. He is one of the easiest professor. I got A in his class. Highly recommended. Just do his homework, you can easily get A. The exam will be from the homework, he is very helpful.

Great professor! At first I had debits and credits confused but pulled thru in the end. His grading is fair. I didn't do the homework and just studied the HW solutions and took the tests. If you know the HW solutions and understand them, you'll make an A. Don't miss class, you will miss ALOT of info. Take him!

Class is at your own pace. The sooner you get everything done, the sooner your complete the course. Got B for the course.

I hardly use the book because his lecture gave me pretty much everything I needed. Test are open book, open note so show up and take notes. Also dropped lowest grade of the 4 test. Has a great deal of knowledge on the subject.

Accounting normally has a bad rap as being dull, dry, and boring. Professor Gale teaches it with such enthusiasm that it reaches other students who may have been intimidated by the subject. If you go to classes, pay attention, and do the homework, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't get an A.

This professor has very great knowledge when it comes to accounting, he has 4 tests and drops the lowest score, I would recommend him to anyone, but make sure you study for the tests because it can get tricky!

Prof. Gale responds quickly to emails, provides good exam review sheets, tons of partial credit for the exam problems. Tests are from the HW assignments, but usually with a little twist. Study the HW, watch the online videos he gives you the link to, and you should be fine. Don't know if he dropped lowest test grade - it wasn't mentioned anywhere.

He posts grades quickly. Usually, he grades within 48 hours. Exams are little hard. However, Professor Gale gives you some partial credits on the essay portion. So, I would suggest just write something even if you dont know the answer. He sends you some feedback on each exams. Due dates for each assignments are your information to keep you ontrack

I was very afraid to take ACC--everyone told me they had nightmares taking this class. However, Prof. Gale is truly incredible. Clear explanations, shows you how to solve the problems that will be on the test, and he is straightforward. He makes a very complicated class easier to deal with. 100% taking ACC212 with him next semester. Do the HW'S!!!

I am terrible at accounting! The whole concept is very difficult for me to grasp. However, Prof Gale made this class much more manageable. He was extremely fast with grading exams (he was done the very next day)! And, the feedback was excellent. Just do all your homework and follow his exam study guides to get the most out of your grade!

ACC211 16w Sprng 2018 -- Professor Gale is the absolute best. Highly recommend! Come to class, do the homework, practice the homework, and you will get an A. He tells you everything you need to know to succeed in his class. Extremely straight forward. Four exams, drop the lowest (or skip the last exam). Take a lot of notes! Important for studying.

Professor Gales has a great sense of humor. His class is fairl easy but thats if you attend class, practice the homework questions and worksheets. Make sure your practice the worksheets and homework questions to get an easy A. He drops one test out of the 4 tests and homework is not graded.

This is the best professor I've taken in Accounting! Professor Gale is very clear and specific with what he expects in his class. Not an easy A, but definitely do-able! 4 exams, but he drops the lowest test grades so you get your overall grade from 3 exams, exams are open notes and open book! He provides notes, book is very useful.
