His class is one that I look forward to. He brings the material to life. Tests are not bad if you study the points made in class along with reading the book. Gives you an option of a paper or project due towards the end of semester. Cool X-tra credit assignments. Just don't plan on skating through.

Heres the deal. He was way lax in summer. tests r all from book (were hard). His notes & lecture were fun, the people were talkative, & u should participate. He does give e.c. He curved our grades in the summer. He's a nice guy. Don't b late 4 roll call, or u'll b absent no matter if it's by .0001 secs. I learned sooo much. I enjoyed. Got a B.

At first I was scared b/c I looked at ratemyprofessor.com before taking him and he sounded hard. After being in his class he seems to be a pretty good teacher and wants you to learn in a different way by actually using your mind and not just reading a book all the time. This teacher seems to think he has special permission to have his own grading scale. Well he doesnt, an A in this class will be a B on your report, a B->C and so on. Other than that though, its one of the more interesting classes I have. Oh yeah, if I wanted story time, id go back to kindegarten.

This professor has a special grasp on the material he professes, and a unique & interesting way of conveying the material. I find Dr. Gonzales' method much more useful than book-lectures. It is clear the professor has more than sufficient knowledge of psychology and finds many ways to relate the content to life situations. Sometimes he moves a bit too fast for the class and fails to realize this. Overall I am satisfied with his teaching style; and confident with his ability to teach the subject matter.

This class is the hardest class I have ever taken.. His test are ridiculous.. I studied my butt off for everyone of them and failed all of them!!!! Unless you soak up every bit of info that he says-don't take this class.. and don't you dare be late for his class!!!!

Dr. Gonzales is an terriffic psychology professor. I was a little unsure about him at the beginning, but Dr. Gonzales changed that opinion the first day of class. He is very unique. Show up to class and study hard and you will pass. He likes for the class to participate and asks questions (he gives extra credit if you do). If you are intelligent and motivated, you will LOVE his class. If you think you're too cool for school, he will belittle you. And it will be funny. Also, he likes to play mind games with self-assured students to keep them at bay. Also funny. Tests are very hard, but he does that on purpose. He curves, so you won't really have an excuse if you fail.

You have to study in his class, but he is definately worth taking. He gives TONS of bonus that helps pull up your grade. I averaged between a b/c on tests and pulled out with a high b by the end. He is very interested and VERY worth taking!

first of all, read the book! pre-chapter quizzes are given for every chapter. come into the class wanting to learn and work hard for your grade, and you'll do fine. his lectures are long, but they are interesting (if you like psychology that is). he gives out a lot of extra credit - DO IT!

The class is fairly difficult - particularly the tests. I made an A because he gave a lot of quizzes that were pretty easy to get A's on without studying. Although it was a pretty hard class, he was a great teacher, very clear and interesting. He uses what he learned from being a psychologist to keep the whole class involved, so it's rarely boring.

He is entertaining to listen to in class, he gives a lot of extra credit, he's pretty funny and easily distracted, his tests are kinda hard, really don't bother studying because it doesn't really help

The material covered in this class thus far is very interesting, and although Dr. Gonzales teaches in a way that can be intimidating at times, overall he presents the material in an exciting fashion. The teaching of Dr. Gonzales is very colorful, clear, and consistent. The first week of class he is very intimidating! In this week, he states his rules, explains them clearly, and enforces them fairly. He uses people as examples for real life characteristics of psychology. However, embarrassing students is not an uncommon thing for him.
