Great example of a simple but effective teacher that from the beginning will layout what you as a student need to do in order to be successful in his course. You do the reading and apply yourself he will reward you for for that. He is also very accessible outside the classroom, every day I had emailed him, I would receive a response within 36 hours

I took Professor Jackson's online class on History of the United States. Most of the grades are based upon discussion responses but the final is a 500 word essay. As long as you use complete sentences in your discussion posts and turn your assignments on time, you will earn an A. I have already signed up for another one of his classes.

I took Pro. Jackson this semester and I was expecting it to be difficult but it really wasn't. You will be graded on the same things every week and all assignments were writing based. Overall, the assignments were not that difficult but requires textbook reading. He provides great feedback and it accessible outside of class. Definitely recommend!!!

Whenever I needed help he was there to assist and guide me down the path I needed to go down. He was really great at sending our assignments and if something was going on he would be considerate and make sure I was able to get it done on time.

I really enjoyed Professor Jackson's course! There are two weekly discussions and an easy quiz each week and then a final two-page paper. If you really want to learn more about African American history and discussing your findings with others this is definitely the class for you. I don't think you have to buy the textbook, but it is interesting.

I took AMH 1091 as a Winter Mod course. The course required a book, I rented from Chegg as an e-book. The course was pretty easy, but fast paced. There were at least 5 chapters to read a week, 2 discussion posts and replies and a quiz. There was a also a final paper due. The teacher made sure to remind us of assignments and was available if needed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this class, I expressed wanting to take this course on purpose, especially with everything going on in the world. I needed to make sure that I educated myself on African American History. This professor was very helpful, reminded us of the homework that was due, was courteous and a generous grader. Great professor and class!

This class is set up very clearly and student friendly. We were always reminded of upcoming due dates and given feedback on turned in work. Each module consisted of two discussion posts and a quiz. Each discussion prompt, including the final paper, were vey interesting and authentic to this specific course!

This course has been fairly easy to follow. Although it's been easy to follow, the work has progressively gotten harder.

Professor Jackson is amazing. JUST DO YOUR WORK and you'll pass. Everything is straight forward and all the information is found in the Text.

Assignments consist of two weekly 150 word discussions and a short quiz, along with a 500 word final paper. Simple enough if you stay on top of the weeks tasks, though don't expect to miss assignments without tanking your grade. As with most online classes, you get out what you put inbut Professor Jackson delivers.

Though I was taking this for degree credit, this class was made to be digestible & interesting for anyone to enjoy American History- that said I would take the class again. Prof Jackson's online class was super easy to navigate and the instructions are also super clear. There are no hidden tests or random assignments. You have two discussions and one test a week which seems like a lot but most of the discussions are really cool topics you get to expand your opinions on and use outside sources and only 150 words.

He is a great professor, but the course has lots of material to cover, around three assignments per week.

I loved Professor Jackson's class. Every week had a new module and it was predictable and easy to get through. Im not the biggest history fan i honestly didnt think i would pass but it was really easy with professor Jackson. Each week there are 2 disscussion posts and 1 quiz. You have a mid-term propsal and final paper (topic your choice). If you need anything you can email him and he responds quick. I recommend him for anyone who isnt the best at history.

Dr. Jackson was a great professor for the six week summer session. He was very clear on the outlines and rubrics for grades items. Be ready to read, quizzes are multiple choice and free response. Overall he was helpful and very flexible as far as the time period for this class goes and assignments.

I think overall the professor is pretty good! I did have some issues with canvas setup but he was always quick to fix it! I would say it is a good online class just a lot of reading to do. I took an 8 week class so I definitely felt like there was a lot of work but that is mostly on me for choosing a 8 week course lol.
