Awesome professor! It's not a walk in the park, but definitely better than Mize. He's incredibly funny and he's a good teacher. His tests are pretty difficult, but if you go to every class, read the textbook, do the study questions for the online quizzes, and attend the test reviews, you'll get an A. I'm going to miss going to his class!

I got an A in this class and I didn't read a single page of the textbook. How? SI sessions. You don't have to attend the weekly ones (I didn't), but MAKE SURE you go to the ones before the exams. Print out the follow-along sheets for the reviews and if you study it and know it front and back it's a guaranteed 85 or above, plus the curve he gives.

What an excellent professor! Jakubow is funny, intelligent, and a great lecturer. His book is expensive but it's very well written and easy to understand. Jakubow will try to answer any questions so don't be shy. Online quizzes are a give away! All the answers are given in the practice questions. ;) I had the highest grade in his 10am class. 98.04

Psycology with Jakubow is a great class. I would recommend to anyone. He always makes the class interesting and gives lots of chances for good grades. With iClickers being 20% of your grade and very easy points you will definitely want to come to class. He however does not always cover all the info in class so you have to read the textbook

Jakubow has his entire class already printed out as a power point, and he gives you a copy of this power point as a spiral notebook. Make sure you do all three experiments or you will fail, and be careful with how he makes participation points mater (he uses the Iclicker). VERY funny guy, very very well versed in his field.

Very funny!! Class is pretty easy just don't forget to do the online quizzes that are due right before the exam. If you pay attention in class you wont need to study that much for the exams, but if you read the book or at least the powerpoints you'll be fine for the 3 exams and the final. iclicker all day every day!!!!!!!

Pay attention to lectures to get the correct answer for iClickers and even if you don't read the book just go t the review sessions to pass the tests. Do all online quiz they are easy to do since they answers for them are in the study guide questions.

Dr. Jakubow is an amazing professor who easily gave some of the funniest and best lectures I've ever heard. The class is not very difficult, and you will pass very easily if you go to class and sign up for StudyRoom. He encourages you to do whatever is needed to pass online quizzes, but you need to go to class for the iClicker points to pass.

Dr. Jakubow really gets down to the students level to include them in classroom examples in hilarious examples, while getting the point across. He always has office hours where you can ask any questions you'd like and he'll do his best to explain himself as clearly as possible. Jakubow is by far one of the best professors I've ever had at FAU. Class is no "easy A," but you'll gain A LOT of knowledge over the semester if you apply yourself. His articulate lectures of the material inspired me to minor in psych as an undergrad. Now, I'm planning to go to grad school to study social psychologycognition. Also, he's hilarious.

Dr. Jakubow is hilarious and really knows what he talks about. He takes his time on the material explaining each slide into depth. Although he cant cover everything in class, he highlights the most important on the slides. The online quizzes help tremendously. (Those things gave me my A). Pay attention and actually TRY to learn and you'll pass.

By far the best professor at FAU, too bad he doesn't teach anything besides Gen Psych!! He's hilarious and has a dark sense of humor, a lot of people in the class don't get that. Such an amazing lecture, as compared to my science lecture. He makes information easy to digest with his jokes and related material sent through emails. He also gives a ton of participation clicker questions throughout the class and sometimes hints towards the right answer. Is easy-going but his tests require you to think and know specifics.

Took Prof. Jakubow for Fall 2014. I will say this now, if you don't make at least a C in this class, then you shouldn't even be at FAU. He curves the tests like 10-20 points, the online quizzes are the same ones as the practice problems online and he gives extra credit through iclicker Qs. He does a ton of clicker questions. all the online quizzes are open book and the questions on the quizzes match the study guides questions online *(also gives you the correct answer) but if you don't show up to class YOU WILL NOT PASS.

Jakubow is a great professor! He sets aside the first 10 minutes of every class to answer any questions. If you pay attention in his lecture and read the notebook you can get almost every iclicker correct which tremendously helps your grade. His test are applied concepts not definitions. Studied from the quizzes got B's on tests.

Jakubow designed this course around the quintessential college student. 13 online quizzes, 3 timed open book online exams, 1 in class final. The online quizzes are the same as the study questions. Work with other people when taking the online exams. WATCH the YouTube videos. Go to class for iclicker, those points add up! You MUST read the book to prepare for the online exams. Final comes straight from the online exams.

I only went to about 10 lectures. You do have in-class participation with the iclicker, but you do not necessarily have to show up to pass. Everything is online, all quizzes and exams. The only exam in-class you have to take is the final. You also have to participate in 3 study credits which are a breeze.

Impossible to fail if you go to class and do your work. Its a blended class but majority of the work is online. He uses iclicker for participation so if you miss class you get a 0 for participation for that day.

I had him for Psy1012 easily one of the nicest and funniest teachers out there. The class is mainly his lectures but the participation points are from the iclicker in class. Really funny and goes over everything in class. Test and quizzes are on his website and are pretty easy as long as you follow along in class. I would recommend taking him.

Dr. Jakubow is so funny and he has great lectures (he is so entertaining omg). His class is an easy A since all of his work is done online and its all on quizlet. iclicker used every class. Really interesting and funny lectures. The textbook, for me, was only used just for the access code for the online exams and quizzes. The only difficulties I had with the class were the homework projects which were very confusing. Grades are not uploaded to canvas , you have to keep track yourself.

IClicker used about everyday, lots of extra credit. Loved his lectures. He's aware a lot of kids cheat bc you can find so many of the tests on quizlet. Jakubow is really funny, but beware sometimes his jokes are kinda offensive. He has IClicker quizzes every class so you kind of have to pay attention. In the beginning of every class he answers any questions the students have. Overall good professor.

My best teacher this semester. He has a really great sense of humor and never fails to get the attention of the whole class, all almost 300 of us. He gives out "extra credit" but if you miss the class it was given in, it counts as a missing grade against you.

The class is in a lecture hall, he is very funny and you participate using the IClicker. He just lectures using the powerpoint, which is also the book that you buy for his class. I would just buy the code for the online homework if you can. Homework and test are very easy and answers can all be found online.

Jackubow is unexpectedly funny. His lecture never failed to entertain me. This was definitely a PG 13 class. But the only problem I had were the confusing homework, which you only get 4-5 of them. Overall I'm glad I took this class.

An incredibly entertaining yet informative and inspiring professor, Jakubow wants his students to experience psychology from a very unique point of view. His humor is incredible and can be darks, but he is truly engaging and does his absolute best for understanding. Tests are online and open notes, and homeworks are all through excel (statistics).

Super easy to pass. At first his homework assignments might seem difficult but usually the class before it was do (or the day of) he'll show the answers for the homework on the screen and explained how to do some of the things students had issues with. So just record the screen when he does it (like most people do) and get 100 on all of the HWs.

He acknowledges that there are answers to his quizzes/exams online but that doesn't stop him from providing everything you need to know. Professor Jakabow is hilarious. He made the extremely long lectures fun. He brought in specific things according to the chapter that we were on. He does teach bell to bell. Attendance is not mandatory however, you have to be in class to get credit for the participation grade that goes in at the end of the semester. He is a great instructor.

Jakubow is literally the professor you would want for every class if you want an easy A. The only reason why I give the level of difficulty a 2 is because you have to show up and do work outside of class. Show up and get i-Clicker points and do all the work, ITS ONLINE! One of the easiest classes Ive ever taken. Dr. Jakubow is funny. The only things u need are his lecture notes, which are a book and printed version of the slides he does in class. Super nice and funny. He was understanding and accommodating. The only thing is you have to buy his book because he's the author so it wasn't cheap but it was fine. I also wished he used one platform for his work but it was fine. The quizzes were a bit long and time consuming but not too hard. The class does require effort.

Took it online due to COVID. Was very hard to find time to read all the chapters, watch all the lectures and extra videos. Videos will be on the quizzes. Test/Quiz Answers can be found online. Homeworks are easy A's. Probably would have enjoyed the course more in person but he is honestly a great professor.

The only way to do bad in this class is if you don't do the work. There are 23 total grades, all equally weighted. The homework assignments were very simple if you follow the directions. You just had to copy and paste. The quizzes are pulled from the study questions. He also has twice a week zoom meetings for questions you may have.

Here's the thing if you wanna learn something from this class you would have to do it yourself but if youre here only for the credit he's the perfect match for you, literally everything is answered you just need to find them and every hw takes max 3mins and quizzes like 20-30mins exams are all answered already so there's no way you cannot pass him.

To anyone on the edge of deciding whether to take Dr. Jakubow, I say do it! I've had the experience of having him both in-person and online, and online classes do not do Dr. Jakubow justice since it lowers the student experience. He is very much an in-person prof and in the classroom, he is absolutely amazing. One of the best in the psych dept.

After being in class, Dr. Jakubow's style is very obvious. His 'amazingness' is in-person lectures and not online. I made a lot of office hours appts and he was great. One of my favs. Course work is not hard. Maybe 6 HW assignments the whole semester and some exams. He was willing to help and cared about his students. Not hard at all just read the book and take the tests which were all open notes. He responds quickly and is fun to be around.

Although this was an easy class to take, the exams are weighted pretty heavily. However, they were very straightforward and honestly super easy. This was one of the easier psychology classes I took online. Didn't really have much one-on-one time with the professor, but the class was cool.

Take Professor Jakubow! There were only 6 homeworks, very simple. 12 chapters, he cuts them into 3 exams, leaving the weekend: saturday-sunday to complete it. Exams online are timed, no camera. Easy. Follow lectures, take notes. Quizzes for each chapter, not timed. 4 chapters quizzes due that friday before exam. 25 point curve on final.

This class was fairly easy, but the answers for tests come from the textbook. While the lectures were really entertaining, they don't really have anything to do with the tests so you really don't have to go. DO THE RESEARCH STUDIES EARLY. You don't wanna get stuck writing the article submissions so do the research studies early! Good Luck!

Really easy homework. The test and quizzes were all online except for the the final. All of the test, quizzes, and homeworks are weighted the same. you have to buy the online book access code to send in the homework and do the test/quizzes. attendance isn't mandatory and the lectures are word for word from the book.

Jakubow is so funny. It was so refreshing to sit in one of his lectures. He makes it hard to not pay attention when he's making hilarious jokes and comments. The only thing I would recommend is that for the quizzes and exams you are going to have to do some online reading of the textbook to study.

Super super easy. You dont need to go to lecture however they are entertaining and hes a nice guy. All answers for the quizzes and tests (not on lockdown!) are on Socratic (app). You can also do things way in advance. The final is either being apart of research projects (highly recommended) OR short SUMMARY essays super easy either way.

Definitely the only class I would sit through willingly. It helps to have a good professor who has moments of standup comedy. He engages with the students who attend his lectures by using them in made-up examples, or just by making jokes. There was barely any work for this class. I think the final exam is the only thing you might need to study for.

He's a great prof, but can get easily sidetracked and go off on tangents that were somewhat but not as relevant to the material being taught. Hilarious, and very engaging in his style of lecturing with the students. If you're sensitive to crude and dark humor, I would steer away from the class, because he makes a lot of funny but dark references.

Professor Jakubow makes lectures funny and entertaining. What's nice about the course is you can basically engage as much or little as you want with no consequence. Attendance is 1/3 of a percentage for every day you miss (miss 3 days its 1% off your final grade). Homework is so easy and quizzes and tests are online. Would recommend for an easy A.

This is a very chill class and so is Jakubow. The entire course is online from the PowerPoints, tests, quizzes, homework; everything with no LDB. All the assignments except tests can be taken at your own pace & finish by a certain due date. The information is easy to understand and everything is open book. I took Jakubow for psych, he is a good lecturer and he's very funny. He uses his own textbook website for lecture notes, homework, quizzes, and exams. The homework doesn't have much to do with psych but more of life skills using Microsoft excel. He makes lectures mandatory by using the textbook website to log into the lecture.

All tests and quizzes are given online with no lockdown browser. However, the answers are not online so use the book and the study questions!! His lecture was very interesting and engaging. The only complaint I have is the homework. It is all in Excel and most are extremely complicated. He does not round grades so make sure you are tracking it.

Dr. Jakubow is the most senile professor you can get. His lectures are detailed and correlates well with the textbook, he wrote it! The book must be purchased to do the quizzes which is a waste of money for one semester ($141). The HW assignments are few but around 3 of them are not fun and hardly have any detail (TA grades).

Professor Jakubow made jokes which made lectures more bearable. He's a great professor and the assignments are easy. You could easily pass the class by reading the textbook, paying attention during lectures, and completing the assignments by the due date. I wish all my classes were like his. I went to this class 3 times the whole semester and passed just fine. all of the quizzes, homework, and exams are online outside of class. only thing is the homework have nothing to do with psych and are all in excel which are so confusing sometimes.

Lectures were optional, but worthwhile to go to due to extra credit opportunities and amazingly entertaining and well explained lectures. Work is super easy to complete despite there being a quiz almost weekly. Quizzes primarily cover material from the book which is not always taught through the lectures, but there is no Lockdown Browser required.

Professor Jakubow has amazing lectures. He always keeps everyone in class entertained while teaching the topic. He normally gives 5-6 Homeworks and 4 Quizzes. The final exam is a combination of questions from the 4 Quizzes
