I was beyond scared to take this course. MAT 104 is either you pass the final or you don't. If you don't you fail the WHOLE CLASS. Jimmy prepared you for it from day one. I never encountered a professor who could explain math with such clarity like him. If he is teaching a course you need, GET IN THAT COURSE. You will not pass with someone else.

Withdrew from Math 3 times prior to this class, I had a majr Math phobia...took his class and got all A's and B's. the 1st test was a 96. Great educator: There is something special about this guy. Hard to put my finger on it. Great Professor, very clear on the lecture but fast, if you don't understand the problem he will go back to it. Gives homework based on the lecture, reviews for exams (3), gives you a sample of how the final will be in the beginning of the semester. Miss one class or lecture, it gets hard to catch up on new material. He grabs your attention.

I was really blessed to have Professor Gaine for math 132. This was my 2nd time taking Math 132, and he made it much more understanding. He was caring and went over what ever we needed. He made the material clear and most importantly he made sure we understood the concepts of stats and why we used it. I WISH every math professors were like him.

Math was a headache for me till I took his class. He is absolutely amazing! He wants all his students to pass. Will go over anything u don't understand, even hw questions. Do the hw & tests are easy. HW is extra credit, no absence is extra credit. Teaches u to pass the departmental and actually learn math. I would take him in a heartbeat! Love him!

Jimmy was a great Precalc professor. He explained the material very well, was a lenient grader, and was easy going if you had to miss some class time. He is a good guy and a good professor. He is not out to trick you or make you do badly. He does everything he can to make sure you really learn the material and get a good grade. I highly recommend.

I had the opportune pleasure of taking Professor Gaine for 171(Business Pre-calc) followed up by business calc (174) and thank god I did. Listening to this man lecture was a whole different ball-game; his lectures are straight to the point, he treats you like an adult, his practice tests reflect the actual test, and he's NOT out to get you.

taking him rn. he curves test grades which is really good. u watch videos and then go to his lectures. I think he should spend more time explaining everything step to step but if you watch math lab and attend lecs, you will be fine. not too much hw, its a good class.

This man is so FUNNY and amazing! PreCalculus is not easy at, especially if you haven't taken math in 3+ years, but professor Gaine made it understandable and enjoyable. We had 3 exams, lowest was dropped if all HW's were completed and you attended all lectures. He prepares you well for the departmental final. Take him, you will not regret it!

tbh from what I know, he's the best math teacher there is. Statistics is always going to be hard. Sometimes I have no idea what's happening, but if you want clarification, he doesn't mind giving it at all. He never gets annoyed. His tests are incredibly easy for you to study right, trust me, they're really easy, coming from someone who hates math.

Great teacher, knows how to explain each topic. Exam are not bad, pay attention to review because everything he explains in the review will be on the exams. He is also a nice grader and there is extra credit. He does make it known that you must pass the final to pass the class, no matter how you did on the other exams, so make sure you understand.

I suck at math and professor made Calculus 1 easy. Homework is 1/3 of the grade, gives practice exams that look EXACTLY like the real exam, prepares you for the final which you must pass to pass the class. Caring, hilarious, super super generous when grading your exams. Watch the chemist tutor on youtube for anything you dont understand!!!

I thought Calculus was going to be something out of this world, that I would fail/drop the course. But no—Jimmy showed me that math is actually very easy; you just need to pay attention and put in the effort. The only math rule I don't like, as with all math classes, is that if you don't pass the final, you don't pass the class. Definitely take him

I took Professor Jimmy for Algebra, he certainly is a good professor. He takes his time to explain things into details. He gives us homework, probably every two weeks, the homework's are from the textbooks. Overall he is a good professor and I can vouch that you can pass his class if you do your best.

Professor Jimmy is a great professor but his class is somewhat hard cause you get a lot of homework but evrything else is fine cause his grading policy is simple all 33% on HW,Midterm and Final! I'm taking him in the summer as I'm rating him.

This was his first MAT126 class (Quantitive reasoning). He was very very good with explaining and will help with any question you have, do not feel embarrassed to ask questions. He will make little jokes to be funny, he is a great professor. Although peoples HW concern is true and is annoying to handle, Him and his teaching style is great.

I love this professor! I'm not a math person/lover but Professor Gaine amazingly made me enjoy pre-calc. He wouldn't shame you for asking a question and even acknowledge when he made a mistake or if a student pointed it out.I recommend if you need help don't be scared to go to his office hours, he's a very respectable Professor!
