If you need to take macroeconomics TAKE THIS GUY! Just show up to class and listen because he will NOT put you to sleep. Material is presented nice, he keeps things moving, and he throws in stories here and there that pertain to the material. Review notes and you're good to go.

Dr J is a great prof, a guy who seems to really like and care about his job. Show up, do the work, study a bit and this shouldn't be that hard. Especially make sure you show up, missing class can mean missing vital info (as i found out the hard way). No reason to skip tho, his is a lively, interesting class. Highly recommended.

As cliche as it sounds, he is absolutely fantastic. If I ever left a class without fully comprehending something it was because I wasn't paying attention or the topic was mind numbingly boring- it was never him. Recommend any class with him. Personable and easy to talk to- hands down the most influential prof on campus!

Go to class take the notes and you will see it on the tests. Everything he teaches is on the test and he is a very helpful teacher. Also with tests he usally gives you a paper to help you study yea its basicly the test which is helpful.

He tells stories like every five minutes to keep your attention, and if you miss a class, you can pretty much put money on the fact that he taught exactly what it says in the book. He's a great teacher and he's a lot of fun.

Overall, I enjoyed his class. It was the only class I did not skip out of. He was very easy to talk to and loves to tell stories. Class would always go by quickly. Really hard class, but Dr. J teaches it well. He is funny and just a really nice guy. Exams are tough, but its totally possible to get an A if you really know your stuff. Dr. J is gracious with partial credit, and sometimes full credit if you make a really stupid calculation mistake. Tough class, but you will get a lot out of it.

In my opinion, he couldn't have made economics easier to understand if he tried. He explain step by step all the equations, gives you pre-test for the exams, and if you don't understand, he'll help you. I did much better in his economic class than I did in high school economics. Dr. J was the man! He basically told you everything you needed to know during lecture. His final was indeed cumulative, but if you knew you material it was cake. Also Jim has 15 points of extra credit, but you had to work for it. Attendance wasn't mandatory, so as is tradition I skipped every Friday. I got a very high B in the class.

He explains everything in great detail and even if you don't understand he's incredibly patient. There are weekly quizzes but three of the lowest are dropped and he tells you exactly what'll be on the quizzes.

This is one of the very best professors that IUP has to offer, he is nothing less than astounding at teaching the material In a way that you can relate what is taught in class into the real world.

He really take time out of his life to make sure his students are understanding what he is teaching. He interacts well with his students to ensure everything is being comprehended. I don't think he grades on attendance but if you skip you will not pass or even come close to passing. But it's not like you will dread going to class. He makes it fun!

Be ready to take notes but when you walk out of the room you will know what everything means because he takes a big chunk of time to explain everything to the class and he gives a lot of little quizzes to make sure you understand the material.

Hate the class, but Im rating the professor, not the classwork. For some reason this class goes by so quickly, despite how boring the subject is! He makes it enjoyable. Material is hard but that varies between each person. He drops 3 lowest quizzes so you can absolutely bomb a quiz and not have to worry.

I was switching majors and econ was one that I was looking at. I took his class to see if I still liked econ from hs and his enthusiasm and love for teaching immediately captured me. He truly respects all his students and makes sure they succeed even if they put minimal effort. Other econ teachers were great, but Dr. J was phenomenal.

Dr. J. is a solid professor. He knows a thing or two about economics, and finds ways to make the subject easy to understand and digest. He is generally quite excitable and shows enthusiasm for the subject. Very kind and easy to talk to. Dr. J. has a very thorough teaching style; he doesn't miss a beat and makes good use of class time.

A very passionate Professor that actually cares about his students. The course can be challenging at times but that is a given with economics. I highly recommend taking it if you feel that you need good explanations of subjects. Nothing but good words for Dr.J

Dr.J was amazing. Always took the time to answer questions and review anything that was more difficult. Lectures were fun to participate in or just pay attention to. The course is tougher but that is the be expected with economics. Very personal professor. He took the time to learn most of the names in a 60-person class. Highly recommend.

Definitely the kind of professor that likes his job, I didn't do great in the class even though I went to almost every lecture but that's on the difficult course matter than the professor. Likes to tell stories that tie in with lessons which are always fun. Really cool guy and I'm glad he was able to teach me.

This is one of the greatest professors at Indiana University. I'm taking him for managerial now and he's just as good in this class, too. For Intro and Advanced Econometrics, he will give you that push you really need. It won't be easy, though. He annihilated my rough draft. But it made me such a good writer by the Spring. Take him!

Great man

Mr. Dr. J is a superb professor. He cares about his students and his passion for economics is unbelievable. His 434 course is one of the courses at IUP that I really took something out of. At the beginning of the semester he makes sure you know that there is a lot of work which is very respectable.

Dr. Jozefowicz is an incredible professor. He makes expectations very clear and helps every student as much as he can. You can tell he has a real passion for what he does.

Dr. J is by the far one of the best professors I have had at IUP. He is very personable, and makes great use of his lecture time. He always used great stories in his lessons that made me understand the material much easier. Semesters later, I still remember some of his examples! I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. J, highly recommend!

His class is good will be hard to pass if you don't attend. He is very invovled and wants his students to pass.

Dr J is a great professor and a very cool person. He tells good stories that help you understand what he is talking about. The class was hard for me, only a few people ever got an A on the exams. Take good notes and learn to study right for it. For such a confusing topic Dr J is the best man to teach it. He will answer emails and meet with you

Professor J is engaging and really cares about helping students succeed. The course material can be challenging, but his teaching style and enthusiasm make it manageable. Using resources like unstuck AI alongside the textbook and attending office hours were key to doing well.

Amazing prof! Makes the subject easy, teaches it similar to a high school class (writes out notes and provides involved examples). He loves participation and even gave out extra credit for it. He is super kind and loves to help students. His exams are all multiple choice and not too bad if you study. Only one hw a week and a weekly quiz.

Dr. J was a great professor. He is an active teacher and writes notes on the white board as the students take those notes. Explains things well but if you still don't understand he tries different ways to explain it. I 100% recommend going to the classes. 2 exams and a cumulative final but if you go to class and participate, they aren't bad.
