took his evening class. no tests, everything done in groups. excellent teacher, has a great grasp on the real business world

Good guy, I took him for cob 200 and mgmt 386. Very understanding and has a good sense of what is really going on in the business world ... he will bore you at times, but is an EXCELLENT prof

This was an honors section. No exams. All grades were from assignments. Everything was very straight-forward. Follow given guidelines to receive an A. He is highly recommended. He is interesting and very helpful. This was my second class with Krolik. Awesome professor!

Krolik is fantastic! Highly recommended. He has real world knowledge and shares this with you. His class is very interesting, he isn't boring. He workes in groups and doesn't just stand there and lecture for hours. Of course, there is work (papers and tests) but they aren't too hard (more reflective than anything) and I got an A with no problem

Teaches in a very relaxed environment and is very flexible with making up assignments, as long as they get done. The only knock I'd say is that some of his assignment specifications are vague.Overall an effective teacher.

Very professional. He clearly points out what is expected from each student in his class. He was a great teacher. Uses good examples and tries to get class involved in discussions. Tests are VERY fair if you read the book along with his PP.

At times he can be very boring. His slides have no order to follow. However, he does know what he is talking about. He is very helpful and as long as you come to class and act like you know what you are doing, you will do fine. He grades pretty easy too.

This is a very easy basic course. He can be very boring and doesn't allow laptops. Tests are easy, first you take it by yourself, then in a group and you get the higher score. Tests are mostly vocab words out of the book. He likes your assignment to have too much detail, even if he says 'briefly describe' - but they are easy enough.

Easy professor. No tests. Just assignments and a few easy presentations. If you do the assignments you usually receive full credit. Go to class because he gives in class assignments and the points add up.

Boring class. I was expecting to learn about different types of jobs in the business field but I didn't. Study guides are pretty much useless, most of the stuff on the test he expects you to know so he doesn't put it on the study guide....If you turn in the HW assignments you get full credit..

I took Professor Krolik for Intro to Business and he was the best professor I've ever had. I got a B- but it was my fault because of my attendance(he doesn't require attendance.) He gladly accepts late work(I turned in a paper 2 months late...lol) He's very understand, very helpful, and works with you when you need assistance. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR

This class is so stupid. All he does is lecture off of power points. All the assignments can be done right before class and as long as you turn something in you will get an A. If people don't do well on the test, he puts them on a curve, so there is no way that you can fail. However, it is still really boring and stupid!

TAKE BOTH MGMT 202 AND COB 200 WITH HIM....EASY A..

krolik is a great prof... there's written assignements, a few group presentations and like 4 tests and a final. the test come straight from the book so if you read the book you will be fine. everyhting in the class is straight forward no reason to no to well in this class.

Great Prof. I got an A in the class. He gives a few tests and some homework assignment. Homework was really easy. He will give you group tests, which I didn't like because I did all the work in my group. So pretty much I got the people in my group a good grade.

ONE OF THE BEST TECHERS AT EASTERN, everything was in groups besides the final, but he spoke clearly and u learn, he made u want to choose business

GREAT Professor!Extremely nice and will work with you. If you have any problems, just talk to him and he will help. Exams are a little tough, but read the book and you'll be fine. In class assignments are easy but educational! Take him in as many classes as you can!

Seriously one of the best professors I have ever had during my time at Eastern. I can say I left his class learning many new things.I would recommend him to anyone. Easy to talk to, very understanding and will work with you if you talk with him. All you have to do is go to class and do your work and you will get an A. No quizzes or test.

He is a great professor. He wants everyone to do well. I found the tests more difficult than he made them out to be, but usually he'd disagree with some of the questions and give us extra points anyway! He is helpful, and everything is very easy. Definitely recommend him, and would take him again!

Dr. Krolik is a great prof! He wants you to succeed and makes class very simple. The tests aren't as easy as he leads them on to be, but usually he disagrees with some of the answers/questions and will add an extra point or so! He's very nice as well. Krolik is one of my favorite professors at Eastern. I took mgmt 202 and cob 200 with him. He is super helpful even if you are not always the best student and he is really nice, always saying hello outside of class. I would recommend him to everyone, just do the assignments which are easy and actually useful to know how to do.

Awesome professor! No need in buying the book because he gives good examples in class of what is expected on each assignment. He grades really easy and as long as you put a little effort into the assignments, you'll pretty much get an A. No exams,mostly power point assignments and like 2 short writing assignments. Great Guy Overall!

Attendance is mandatory, as there are NO exams in this class. He's VERY picky on papers when you turn them in, so pay attention to how he wants papers written, particularly in formatting. GREAT guy, friendly, flexible on deadlines, especially if they're work or sports related. Highly recommended. Just watch your paper writing. It makes a diff.

this prof was easy tests come right from the slides he goes over in class. doesn't use the book at all so dont buy it. If you go to class your ace the tests

Intro course, therefore easy. Prof uses ppoints yet you need to buy the book because the exams are definition based. he really doesn't cover a lot of the material on the exam in class.. his lectures are common sense, boring, but what do you expect from a intro bus course? after taking exam you get to take it again in a group & take the better grade

He's a nice guy, but EXTREMELY unorganized. Don't pay any attention to the syllabus, he will not follow it. His lectures are boring and he rambles. Must attend though, or you'll never know when due dates are. Easy class, ppoint lectures, MC exams, and a couple of projects. This would be a better class online, but it's not offered that way yet.

This was an easy class. He was very relaxed and made adjustments to the syllabus/tests/assignments as the class asked. We took the tests as groups which made it very helpful to get a higher grade. Tests were difficult and straight from the textbook. You will not do well on tests if you don't read the book. Good class!

I took both COB 200L and MGMT 202 with him. His directions for assignments are not always clear but his classes are easy and he is very nice. He remembers me after one year even though I never went to his office hours. I got A in both classes with minimal work.

Krolik is very laid back. He does not care if you come to class, and test are taken individual and then in teams. Assignments are very easy, take not even five minutes, and as long as you do them you get full credit. His lectures are pointless and don't relate to the test but he's gives you a study guide the day before the test. would recommend him

Krolik was a very easy professor, you take all the tests as groups and have very little homework. If you attend class it is a very easy A. I did not use the book at all, but I know other kids used it to study.

he is a pretty cool guy. he is very understanding with tests and homework. he's a nice guy and a decent teacher. it's mostly lectures and group work and presentations. too many presentations for my liking, but it was still a decent class. he does his best to make it as interesting as possible.

Krolik is awesome! He is the sweetest guy and is very dedicated to teaching business/management. Most of his lectures are personal stories about his business experiences. Basically you need to just skim the chapters and vocab the night before the tests. Tests are taken in a group and I only missed 9 points all semester.

I absolutely love James Krolik! He's a great guy and he makes the class really interesting. He always has personal stories to go along with the lectures and the tests aren't hard at all. I can't wait to take more classes with him!

If you want an easy A, take this guy. If you want to learn something, take someone elese. All of the tests were online and straight out of the book. Just Google the test questions and you will be good. Lectures are about the material but they hardy help you to prepare for the tests.

Krolik is a really great professor all around. Some have stated he isn't the clearest at times, if you ask he will clear things up for you. Overall, we had 4 or 5 exams, that we took in groups and were allowed to use your book. We also had 3 group presentations, you sumeraize your article to the class. Gave daily in class work to ensure attendance.

Honestly none of those tags apply to this guy. Gives you test and homework all online, he took attendance but i have no idea why, doesn't show up in your grade at all. I went to maybe 3-4 classes. All the answers to the test can be found online, and you can write rap lyrics on the Cases and get 100%'s. Got a A+, used a older version of the book OL.

I have read all the reviews before i write mine. this professor is the best prof you take a class with at EMU. he is very respectful, nice, professional. tests are online. he is very cooperative. I dare you to find another prof like this man.

Very good professor! Certainly knows a lot about human resources management and instills that knowledge on his students through lectures and group presentation assignments. Textbook is marginally used.

Such a nice guy! His class is organized & he assigns interesting reading material. I wish he taught marketing classes because I really enjoyed his lecture style. I was interested in learning my management style and he scanned and printed the information out of one of his own books for me! Loved his class!

Once a week there is a lecture day. The other day is group projects and presentations. You need to go to every class or you will lose a lot of points. Great guy. I plan on taking him again next semester. 5 exams all online including the final. If you participate and do well on exams, you should have no problem getting an A in the class.

His hybrid class is very easy, once a week you listen to him lecture and he usually never takes the full hour and fifteen minutes. You have to do an easy written in class assignment for the points, which he never reads, just checks you showed up. He has his exams online and written assignments from the textbook due each weekend.

Students only viewed this class as boring/easy because they didn't actually read the material. In terms of learning you get out what you put in, if don't read the book (which is free online) then you will find this class pointless. This is a great class to balance with more challenging classes but I highly recommend you read the material.

I took this class in summer so it was easier than other semesters. He did not distribute exams/quizzes so there was a lot of homework (which I'm fine with). He tends to be scattered, doesn't follow syllabus. Show up and do the homework and you'll pass. He is flexible with due date. TEXTBOOK IS NECESSARY!

This is my third time taking this professor. I love his classes. They're easy and he always engages with the class. I took this as a hybrid class and it was well structured. Homework every week, a few exams, and a group project. No final. No midterm. All his lectures are posted online, but he has in class activities to make sure you attend class.

Amazing professor. Talkative but not boring. Exams were all online and easy if you studied. Easy points just for doing in class assignments really help. AND he even let people make up exams they might've missed. True professor that cares about his students passing.

I took this class as a hybrid. Every other week there were two papers-relatively easy. There were exams about once a month (they were online). He had in class assignments that he never told you when they were, so attendance is crucial within his class. Overall, amazing professor.

He has assignments during class and not every class so you had to show up to get the points. Most of his exams he cancelled but they were all online and only available during the weekend. I took his hybrid course and had assignments due on the days we didn't have class. He talked a lot about nursing. He's very understanding.

I've had Krolik for 2 classes and he's honestly one of the most under-rated professors at EMU. He seems relate-able and he can lead interesting discussions. Both classes were hybrid format where we had one lecture a week followed by a case assignment (one page). He sometimes does in-class assignments so be ready. I'd recommend taking his classes!

You are assigned to a group and the group is assigned a topic. Each member has their own part they have to do, including research. You also listen to other presenters and write a two page paper based on the information you seen in the presentation. Notes for each presentation are turned in for grade. So you turn in the notes and the paper each week

All tests were done in groups. Pick a good group for your first project, you are doing projects and test with them all semester. Extremely easy class. The lectures are all power points which makes it slightly boring. Showing up isn't needed to pass the class, participation points are given maybe 3 times? Just get a good group to fill you in.

This professor bases his grading on when you show up for class and also by you paying attention. Looking at your computer or phone will get you a low grade. You need to show up to this class to pass. Show him you care about you education and he will treat you with respect!

The textbook is unnecessary. The exams are given as an online quiz and are open book so it helped with that but all of the info can be found elsewhere without having to buy the book. I have opened my book only for the exams.

Overall a really good Professor. Took him for a Hybrid class so there was one day of lecture, normally had an in-class assignment worth 10-20 pts. Assignments online were easy and straight to the point. If you do the work that is asked you will do fine.

Really nice guy. Wants us all to succeed and treats his students like adults. Originally signed up with someone else but he replaced that professor (glad he did). He made it impossible not to get an A in. Anyone who got annoyed him with him for calling out cellphone users already had a bad attitude in the class anyways, not sure what the issue was.

Professor Krolik is an amazing professor. He cares about the success and well being of students and is by far the most understating professor I have come across. Take this professor, you won't regret it.

Do your action assignments and lesson learned and youll pass with flying colors. I got 100% in this class with barely any effort. Most of the semester is led by student presentations which makes it more fun. Every group presents a chapter. Totally recommend.

I think it would be harder to fail this class. I took his online 7-week summer course every week we had three assignments that only had to be 200 words. No exams. This professor is awesome. If you do the assignments it is an easy A. Would highly recommend for an easy summer course.

Took this class online over the summer. Not overly difficult, but writing intensive and did require a significant amount of reading . He provided great feedback on assignments. Do the work, make sure you've addressed each of his requirements, and you should do fine.

I took this fully online class during the (pandemic) fall semester. Homework was assigned every weekend and it was only three assignments. About 300 words each which isnt bad. The assignments were questions out of the book. No exams or quizzes. Honestly, I think itll be impossible to fail this class. Overall, I would take this professor again!

Professor James Krolik is an amazing professor. You should take him because his lectures are amazing and always fruitful. I have learned a lot from his lectures. Only 1 discussion and 1 assignment per week and both are based on his lectures and chapters. You should have 3 paragraphs or more for each assignment with more than 4 sentences.

Class is mostly a weekly Discussion Board post and in-class reflections, neither of which are more than half a page usually. 2 very informal presentations. Professor Krolik is very approachable and understanding, easily one of the better professors I've had.

His lectures are short and straight to the point and your homework is the same every week just with different chapters. His tests are also very easy too. Would definitely take again.

Very nice guy that has interesting lectures if you pay attention. It can be easy sometimes to drift off due to the dry nature of the course, but he tries his best to make it relevant. I enjoyed the class and would encourage others to take him too. Just please actually show up to class; my man doesn't deserve to have half the class not show up.

Dr. Krolik has been an exceptional professor. He offers his cell for assistance 24/7. He clearly outlines course expectations and provides timely grading, along with encouraging and specific feedback on assignments. The workload is laid out on day one and paced appropriately. I truly feel he displays a great commitment to his students' success.

Dr. Krolik is a very kind & flexible professor. The MGMT496 course consists of weekly discussions and research essays - both of which are super easy and short. No textbook, he will assign you 1 company to research for the entire semester. Mostly participation and completion grading. Super easy and provides COB info if interested.
