Good teacher. Needs to learn alternative ways to relate subject matter at times when the majority of class is having difficulty understanding (eg functions). Being a elementary principal he at times addresses the class like they were 10 years old. He is talented though and will surely iron out his skill.

Mr. Kuzma is the best Math teacher ever. He is very helpful, and wants you to understand. The tests are not difficult if you have done your homework. It's important to attend class, because he'll explain over and over if necessary. And he's soooooo hot, it won't hurt you to look at him. He's such an eye candy!

HANDS DOWN the BEST math teacher! Math has always been a headache to me, but he really made me understand (& even like) it. He's beautiful inside and out, I LOVE HIM!! Quiz end of every class, review day before test, didn't collect homework (do 'em still). If he were teaching more higher math classes, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

He was the best math teacher I've ever had. Explains material well. Very helpful when you have questions. Tests aren't too difficult, just study and ask questions. He's understanding and very nice! I would definetly recommend!!

definitely somebody you should take. he's extremely nice and funny and explains everything if you don't understand. attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss class then it's easy to get lost in what's going on.

If you have signed up for his class, you made the right choice. If not, you are missing out. Sad I might not have another professor like him. He is truly great at his job, and could definitely teach some professors on how to properly teach college students. He gets 5/5 and two thumbs up.

Really well organized teacher!!! Great teaching style, easy to understand, review after every lecture with a mini quiz to see if you understood which was extra credit which always helps... What he teaches is exactly what's on the test. Overall REALLY good experience!! Easy A if you go to class, take some notes, and everything else was follow.

I LOVE this teacher. I wish he taught every subject at CSN. I actually enjoy going to his class and I have always hated math. He is funny, nice, helpful and knows everything(I'm pretty sure he is a genius). I plan to try to get him every semester that I can. It's because of him I am finally starting to understand math, which is an absolute miracle!

He's great! I'm taking him for Math 95 and I have already signed up for his 96 class. I have never been good at math and I have never enjoyed it but I really like his teaching style. He assigns homework for practice but never collects it. As long as you attend the class it's really easy to keep up on the lessons and get good grades on the tests.

This teacher is excellant. very passionate about the student being able to learn. easy learning techniques and formulas to be able to solve to problems much easier. attend class every time and you will get an A. He said if you are not able to factor by the end of the semester than he would refund your money.

DO THE HOMEWORK OR FAIL THE CLASS... It is a super simple class, the professor cares and will take the time to make sure you learn. Two chances at the final... If you fail this class, DROP OUT OF SCHOOL...

I had a lot of math anxiety prior to taking this class. This instructor was the most patient and easygoing instructor I have ever had. He actually made me enjoy math after years of math anxiety. I have recommended him to everyone I know who wants to succeed in math. I will take his classes again. Not bad to look at, either.

He is an excellent teacher, one of my top 3 all time favorite teachers. He insist that everyone understands what is going on in the class. HMWK is not required but is a valuable asset when it comes time to take the test. He is very professional and presents the math problems in a very understandable formula.

very very easy class. i hadn't taken math in a while so i was kind of being taught for the second time, and i learned it quick. you HAVE TO do the homework, or you will be lost when you come into class the next week. you ca tell the ones that don't. test are commutative and easy if you study.

Dr. Kuzma is a professor that loves what he does. His enthusiasm for math and care for his students are exceptional. I have never had a professor with the patience that he demonstrates. I have never liked math until I took his Math 95 class. I hope to have him again in Math 96.

I do not not know how I would have passed Math 95 without this instructor. This is the first time I have ever taken a math class and actually felt like I understood what was going on.

Professor Kuzma was the greatest math teacher I have ever had. He kept his students awake with his quirky comments and jokes. Not only was he an entertainer, but he was an excellent instructor. Best professor! I got an A+ in the class. He explains things so well. Just make sure to do the homework and you are basically handed the A. I got 100% on the first 3 tests and a 97% on the final. Best teacher! Super nice too

Mr. Kuzma is one of the eat teaches I've ever had. It's hard to find teachers that actually want their students to pass n understand the subject. He is very helpful and makes math interesting. He's also a funny guy which just makes the class more interesting. Math is already a hard subject for me so I was dreading taking it but Mr. Kuzma has helped me understand thing I have never been able to, it sucks he doesn't teach above math 96. Mr. Kuzma is a really great professor! This is my third time taking Math 95. I'm glad I finally found this professor because I understood his teaching methods. Math is not my best subject, but Mr. Kuzma makes it much more understandable and wants you to pass. If you do the homework, attend all classes, and do your best you'll pass. Never give up!

Professor Kuzma is amazing, He genuinely cares for his students and wants them to understand, if something isn't making sense he will take the time to help you. He's hilarious and a great guy. I took him for 3 semesters if that says anything. Highly recommend him.

Really laid back and entertaining. I had a "quiz" (One or two problems) after every class and he wouldn't let you leave till you got it right. If you were struggling on it he or one of my classmates would work out the entire thing with you. Best Professor I've had so far.

My husband took this professor for his math class and says he is an awesome math teacher and really enjoys going to his class. He also likes the questions Mr. Kuzma gives at the end of the class which requires you to think outside the box. I wish Mr. Kuzma taught higher math classes as my husband would take him again.

I hate school with all my heart but Mr. James Kuzma is the best teacher of all time and I'm super serious. He's definitely going down in the Hall of Fame. Professor Kuzma was very helpful. He will take his personal time to help you. Very laid back but will still get what needs to be done, done. My only problem is he will sometimes go too fast while going over something but if you let him know he will go slower! He made my first semester of college great!

Very clear lectures. Nothing is allowed during tests, however study guide is given that mirrors the test. Great teacher! Homework is not mandatory for class, but you should probably do it if you want to pass the test.

Kuzma is probably the best math professor you will ever have. Hands down. He explains everything in a way that even if you don't know anything about math when you started you'll understand by the end of the day. Pop quizzes usually at the end of the day but helps you through it. Easy A. Be prepared for nerdy uncle jokes.

I have taken this instructor for math 95 and math 96 and he is a really cares for his students to learn and be successful. I am TERRIBLE at math and had I done all homework and actually studied for all exams (not just the final) I know I would have aced this class. Wish he taught math 124 :(

I have taken this instructor for two Math classes now and really wish he was able to teach higher level math courses. If you haven't taken a math course in sometime or simple don't feel confident in your math abilities this is the instructor to take. His reviews are great and really takes time to make sure you understand the material.

I had Professor prior to this class. I love how well he explains how to do the problems. He also won't continue to the next assignment until everyone is comfortable with the prior assignment. If you are like me, not very good at picking Math up quickly, then he is someone I'd recommend taking. He's funny and helpful and easy on the eyes.

Mr. Kuzma is my favorite math Professor I've ever taken. The only thing that goes for your grades are the exams, but the first two are only 10 questions and the last one is 20. There is NO reason for someone to fail his class. He is hilarious with his stories and Star Wars puns! You WILL need to do the homework or you won't pass. Great professor!!

Amazing professor! He's very funny & caring. He goes over any problem you're stuck on from the homework and will work through it with you to make sure you understand, & goes over EVERY problem on the study guides. And what's on the study guide is what's on the quizzes, but with different problems. Keep up w/ the hw, understand it, and you're set!(:

I was totally lost, then I found Prof. Kuzma here on rate my prof and took the chance. I am glad I did because honestly he is a game changer for learning math!!

Best math teacher ever. He gives homework and goes over any problems you had in class. Also goes over everything that will be on test and provides study guide with the same questions. Kuzma was a great instructor! He is not difficult to understand when explaining the problems. He gives pop quizzes but it's just silly information, just try your test on it and he gives you credit for just participating in it. I will definitely be taking him again!

I had him for an online class through Aleks but we still had to go to the campus for whatever reason, that's not the point though. Whenever I was confused, he explained it to me in a way I would understand and if I was still confused, he explained it in a different way, which I very much appreciated. I highly recommend him.

He is by far the absolute best professor you can get. he genuinely cares about everyone and their grades. he teaches multiple ways to solve problems which was a blessing. most teachers only teach one way and he will teach every single way. he makes things that I've always struggled with a cakewalk! i wish i could take him for every math.

I took him for Math 95 and 96 and he is the best. Being a principal at a high school helps him connect with students and help them learn. He gives out homework, but doesn't grade it's more of you do it to help yourself. He also gives reviews for tests that help you actually prepare. He is funny, down to earth, and really makes sure you get it.

I have never liked taking a math class before until Mr. Kuzma's. His lectures are straight forward and clear as day. He breaks it down for you when you don't understand something. He made math enjoyable. He also had some quirky jokes to tell.

I took Professor Kuzma for math 95 and now I am taking him for math 120. He is so amazing and makes sure you actually understand the content he is teaching. His zoom meetings are fun and always end with an one question quiz which he gives you plenty of time to work on. The textbook is very useful and free.

Honestly one of the best teachers at CSN. If you need to take a math class hes the best teacher to take he explains everything very well and he goes over a lot of examples and he tries his best to get you ready for the exams. Do your homework and ask any questions you have and hell answer it and explain everything for you. Take the class!

I had Dr. Kuzma for two semesters, math 126 and 127. I absolutely love his class. His class is easy if you pay attention. You must do the homeworks and you need to do the tests to get an A. He gives extra credit points when you show your work on the tests. Attendence is not mandatory but it is recommended. Take his class for an easy math class.

Prof. Kuzma is the best Math prof. I have. He makes corny jokes that keep the class engaging. If you take his class, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. You will definitely learn with him and ASK QUESTIONS if you don't understand because he will help you. You have to put the work in and not be on your phone in class lol. He's a cool guy.
