Mr. Lang was an excellent professor in calculus. He breaks down the concepts so that they are easier to understand. You will learn a lot in his class and find it easy if you do your home work and listen to his lectures.

Mr. Lang was the best teacher in math i have had in college. he was always willing to help and his office was open for questions 24-7. If you have a rough time in math then he is the teacher to have.

Lang is the best Professor for any math course. I was lucky to have him for calculus 1-3. I thought that those courses would be hard but Lang made it easy to understand concepts. Definitly prepares you for engineering majors.

He is a very good teacher. make sure you do your homework b/c there is a quiz everyday. he normal goes over what will be on the quiz before you take it. Not strict on absences and just a really nice guy. Deff!!! take this class

If you want an A in a hard math class take him. He makes things easy for his students and helps them pass with an A.

He teaches well and I learned a lot from him. The only problem I had was that he is a lill aloof and its difficult to approach him to ask questions. His tests are okay just work ur ass off and make no mistakes on his tests.

excellent prof. Explains WELL. You get a good idea about what's on the exams. Gives quizzes which are preparation for tests. VEry good professor. EXTREMELY HELPFUL!! Highly recommend him!!

If you're not good at math, take Lang. He sometimes explains things so slowly that it gets boring, just to make sure everyone understands. He will go over something over and over until everyone understands. Make sure you have some caffeine before class.

Professor Lang is a phenominal teacher. He takes the time needed to explain, in detail, how to solve what could have been a difficult problem. He always responds to your e-mails, and will answer each question you may have. I highly recommend him for any and or all math classes.

BEST math teacher I ever had. After failing college algebra twice and dropping it once I thank God I found this teacher because he made the class so easy and clear I passed it with a high B. Great Prof. Mixes technology with board work to help you see the concept. Easy to see at his office. Work your butt off and understand concepts and you will do well on the tests. Good sense of humor.

Great instructor esp. if you are math challenged. I knew he was good when I saw he owned a Mac computer (for all you art majors). He makes complex ideas seem easy. Lots of quizzes but fair.

Awsome Teacher, Relates problems to real world uses and breaks down hard concepts so you can understand them easily. Quizes and tests count and only material on the quizes and test is things he's gone over in the class. no surprises, just a great teacher. best of all, i learned a-lot. I'll be taking him again.

Lang is Valencia’s best teacher, hands down. This teacher goes out of his way to help everyone. He reviews homework till everyone understands the problems. It is great to finally get a teacher that loves his subject AND knows how to teach it. Take this man for everything you can!

Lang is great. He gives review sheet for exams which follow very closely. Nice guy and very clear. One of the best!

Mr. Lang was very helpful and gives you lots of opportunities to boost your grade with homework and quizzes. His tests are hard, but not impossible. He is really good about answering questions and offering help with the homework. A "b" is definately possible, even if you aren't too good at math.

I hate math but I like this professor, made understanding subject easier w/in class examples, got B in class. Quizzes and hand in homeworks are very easy, tests are hard but if you study from the review sheet and the quizzes you should be able to get a B.

I'm the worst at math, but so far so good with Mr. Lang. I think he does a great job, I don't know what everyones problem is with him!! So far so good for me!

the easiest class that i have ever had in valencia. lang is the best professor in the east campus. he teaches the material very well and makes sure that everyone in the class gets it. the ones who dont get it are not there to do school! only 5 tests and quiz average in the class, so be careful not to mess up in anything because it could cost the A.

Amazing!! When I began the class I had no idea what Stats was about but Lang made it easy and clear to understand. Just like any other math class do your HW and you should be fine! Only 3 tests with many "mini" quizzes and some HW to turn in (he will let u know when he is collecting HW). Need Stats? THINK LANG!! HE IS THE ONLY ONE FOR STATS!!

I had Lang my first semester, my first year. His class was very easy. I missed a few quizzes and hw and still got an A in the class. I'm just getting my AA at Valencia and decided that I would take my other math class with only him and finally I got it, my last semester at Valencia because his classes fill up so fast. His a very nice teacher. the tests are a lil hard, but he will help u out if u have any questions. he will go out of his way too. Over all the class is ok. I dont like math n it doesnt go with my major. But alot of the methods used here u can apply to real life, unlike other math classes.

A wonderful man and teacher. Tests are difficult, but he is a very fair and lenient instructor. Always willing to help. Very little homework. Gives many great examples that keeps the class interesting. I reccommend him to anyone.

I took him for calc 1 and and he explained hard concepts with clarity and genuine care for people learning the material. He gave a lot of quizzes, but it keeps you on your toes and helps your grade in the end!! TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!

Great teacher and easy goin...8 quizes, 5 tests (short), a few hand in assignments....Im a C math student, but this class was easy to get an A...didnt buy a textbook, used library copy to do homework (which most aren't turned in). Easy Stat class.

Mr. Lang was very helpful and nice to everyone in his class. He never seemed to have any problems with anyone in the class even though half the time the class was very disrespectful to him. If you do well in the class and get As and Bs on your tests, there is no final for you. Overall, he's really nice, easy going and there was never any homework.

Mr. Lang is the best pro at valencia... He is HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!before the final I average a 69% in is class and after the final I average 85% which enable me to pass with a "B".. He is a great professor I wish all of my Pro was like him.. He replace the lowest grade with your final.. If your final is higher..PLEASE TAKE HIM.. my class was DE.

He's great! He's super nice, and very helpful, lots of inclass activities that help you to really understand what you are learning, spends a lot of time going over HW problems every week. Really good teacher! Easy A as long as you actually do HW and study! (Three tests, and exam)

good teacher knows his stuff and is good at explaining the concepts, a little mono tone but by no means a boring class calc. is pretty sweet, test are fairly difficult but if you do your practice youll be fine

Took his Trig class. He's a very nice guy and he clearly explains everything. I'm not bad with numbers at all, but for this class, I think attendance is most important because you have to take notes every time he writes on the board, the quizzes are from those notes, and the test are from the quizzes. I recommend him if you have trouble with math.

I dropped his class. But wait! It was not because of him. I was sick early on in the semester in the begining and never seemed to get caught back up. With his help I came very close. He is a excellent. If he were teaching this class again this summer I would have signed upagain for it.

I took Prof. Lang for trig in the summer and I have to say that he is the best trig class I have ever took. I should know... it was my third time taking mac1114 =X. Attendance is not mandatory but his quizzes come directly from the notes. Take him... you will not regret it.

I took Prof. Lang for Statistics. He is very easy to understand and the tests are pretty straightforward. I would definitely recommend this professor, and DO NOT WAIT...sign up for his class ASAP if you don't want to be on the waitlist (and there usually is one!)

H James Lang is a very good professor. He gives you plenty of chances to make the grade in class. Few easy progects and reading assingments help to finilize the grade. He is very clear and makes it fairly easy to understand the material. I would take him again.

Professor Lang is really a nice guy although he seems to be kind of serious. He teaches material in a way that is easy to understand and is willing to help if you have questions. Statistics can be confusing but if you go to class, pay attention and study a little bit you can do well.

I like his teaching style and he makes it fairly east to understand the material, however his tests are hard and tricky. Few individual progests, plenty of quizes and 4 tests make up the grade. No extra credit.

Took professor Lang for calc 3 and got a b. all you have to do is show up to class to learn the material and do the homework outside of class. the math center is really helpful. This guy explains everything crystal clear and breaks everything down so you understand it. I recommend this professor to anybody. Im taking him again for diff eqs.

Ended up dropping the class. Couldn't pass a test. Math is hard for me, sometimes you find a professor that makes it click for you. It didn't click for me in this class. Not to say he's a bad professor, but I didn't understand the material. I need a lively teacher who's really into the subject, he's a bit monotone at times.

James Lang was my professor for Calc I way back in 1994. The class was calculator-based (we had TI82's and TI85's)and Mr Lang really did an excellent job of incorporating this technology into the class. I was well-prepared when I matriculated to UF and took CalcII and CalcIII. I also took Mr. Lang for Statistics, he is great! Mr. Lang = awesome!

Mr. Lang was my prof for Calc I (back in 1994); I was so impressed with his teaching skills, that I also took him for Statistics. I was well-prepared when I matriculated to UF, eventually earning a DMD (dentist). Mr. Lang is an excellent teacher, his tests were fair & straight forward (no surprises). He is a great asset for Valencia!

Mr. Lang is an awesome math professor. He is always open to questions, no matter how long it takes to answer the question. Homework every day, but it's not graded. Just recommended to do it for practice and goes over previous class' homework at the beginning of every class. Short quizzes are common, and class rarely drags. Great Professor

Fantastic professor. Fun guy, very clear and covers the important bits. Clearly has a passion for the subject and it makes it fun. Regular quizzes but they're basically based off the homework so do it. If you need to talk Calc 2 this is the dude to take it with.

TAKE HIS CLASS! His information is clear and if you study the material, you will pass. I found the textbook very confusing but when Professor Lang went over the material it was clear and easy to understand. Math is my WORST subject and he explained the material in everyday language that made sense. He is also very funny. GREAT PROFESSOR!
