Must do your homework, read, and come to class! If he tells you that something will be on the exam, you can take his statement to the bank. It is true! Looks like Larry of the Three Stooges except that his hair is gray. Good teacher and he does talk fast.

I agree that he talks too fast. He knows what he's talking about and doesn't ramble around like some professors do. His tests are fair and tells you what kinds of problems to study so you won't be spinning your wheels unnecessarily.

Interesting and knows his stuff. Very fair on grading policies and gives good lectures. Had him for an 8 o'clock and he kept me awake!

He's really good. He does talk fast but he's really funny. He always tells you what's going to be on the tests. There are plenty of opportunities to get a good grade without too much work. Definately recommend!

Does talk fast, but covers what is on the test. Gives mock test that covers what will be on the next test and goes over it. Stays on track is is funny. Well, as funny as you can get while teaching accounting.

Fast talking Yankee, but seems like a nice guy with good sense of humor. Gives "quiz" points for attendance. Exams are similar to homework. Grades fairly. Posts lecture outline online. Some multiple choice questions are difficult; intro accounting theory - debit vs. credit balance accounts, etc.

Awesome professor, very important to go to class and take good notes...left accounting 2010 with no knowledge but walked out of there feeling like i could teach accounting, excellent job period. if you know your stuff which he'll teach you if you're a good student then you'll be fine. very worthwhile.

Took both ACCT classes from him, and loved him every step of the way! Yes, he talks fast, but ... You can interrupt him @ any minute w/ a question. Had a blast in that class, and learned SOOOOO much! Still friends with him today!

Lukawitz was the****... teaches a lil fast....but funny as hell... i missed at least 10-15 MWF classes and got a B, its not that hard

I liked him. He gave quizes and gave us half the answers. If you do the homework you will pass.

Fast talker, but knows what he is talking about. He gives you a lot of work, but it is not too hard of a class. I got a 68 on my second test in the class and after test errors/extra credit, my score was an 86 lol. Overall, I came in this class with NO accounting knowledge, and it ended up being a good experience for me, especially with morgret

He is not an extremely hard teacher by any means. The tests are made by a committee for all sections of the course, and he does a good job of preparing you for the tests. His lectures are beneficial and contain the majority of the information needed for the tests. I would recommend taking him.

He is a very good teacher. Makes everything pretty clear and usually goes over several homework problems that you later have to do online. This guy is great! He's hilarious, and a great teacher. Just don't go to class expecting an easy grade. Pay attention, do your homework, and study / go to study sessions, and you'll be fine. He makes you learn, so be prepared.

He is extremely familiar with the material, but sometimes forgets that others aren't. Although he was alwyas willing to help.. It isn't an easy A.. or B, but if you go to the STUDY SESSIONS and DO THE STUDY GUIDES, you will do fine.

He is a great teacher who applies accounting to everyday transactions that you can understand. Anyone enrolled in Acct will HAVE TO READ THE BOOK in order to understand the concepts fully. Would highly recommend him. Wish he was teaching Acct II in the Fall.

Lukawitz is pretty great. Accounting, to me at least, is not a very exciting subject, but he is very energetic and enthusiastic about his profession; he also likes to rag on Ole Miss graduates. It was a tough course but I showed up to all the classes and got a decent grade. Word of advice, print off the power points before class to follow along.

Excellent Professor! Highly recommend if you want to UNDERSTAND the material. Key to passing: YOU MUST READ FIRST THREE CHPTS AND UNDERSTAND THEM. Otherwise you will fall behind! You cannot use the powerpoints ONLY, if you don't already understnd acct. Buy the book, do homework & quizzes.In this case, it is not the instr. Acct can be difficult!

Teacher was great. Very clear. Go to class. Only students that don't do well are the ones that don't go to all the classes. Accounting is boring but this professor makes it fun. He kept me awake the whole time. Even shared some laughs. I highly recommend going to all classes and not falling behind.

I absolutely loved this class! And it had everything to do with the professor. He explains the material so well and tells you over and over what you will need to know. I could not have asked for a better professor for this course. I just really wish that he was teaching ACCT 2020 this fall!!

He will answer the same questions multiple time until you understand. I love his teaching style, but his exams are too long!!!! I dropped out of his cost accounting class b/c I can't take both Cost & Intermediate at the same time. However, I would still take him if he teach Cost again.

This guy will put you to sleep in his class. Take the MWF classes cause his TTH classes are way to long. If you do all your work and try you can get an A or B. Dont buy the book. You do not use it enough to spend $130

The case style of the class is very engaging. Don't be a bump on a log, discuss things with him, and get to know him - it will help. Coming to class outside of case days is pointless and I NEVER used the reference book. The course is a good change of pace from other upper lvl acct classes. I've had Lukawitz for four classes, including my advanced accounting class this semester, and he is BY FAR my favorite accounting teacher! Of course he isn't easy, but he wants you to actually learn the material. You can email him any time and he'll answer or go by his office. He really helps his students. Wonderful teacher.

Great Professor! Talks kind of fast so you have to keep up. Very funny and uses examples to help you get a better understanding of the material.

Great lecturer. Makes accounting come alive. Very helpful. Always in a good mood and eager to help. This is the most positive accounting professor I've come across. Makes me proud to study accounting.

If you attend class on lecture days, he will give you everything you need to complete the cases. Also, when you pick a group, pick it early! The first few groups have the easier cases to present. We didn't use a book.

Class is all about group presentations, but in a good way. He brings a depth to accounting not expected from the class. He is always ready to help. Once I stopped him in hall and he acted like I was the only thing on his mind as he helped me understand something. Later I found out I made him late to an appointment and he never complained.

Try to get a good group. 2 presentations and 10 mini-projects.

Good instructor - had him in person and online. Responds to questions promptly. Good videos to explain material. Exams are not just multiple choice from database - each has separate problem set to test concepts and he does allow groups to work together on them. Do the discussions posts - good way to earn extra points. One of the best at UM.

Class is all lecturestudent presentation. Do all critiques and write-ups to max scores - why give away points? Be prepared to put time IN on group presentations - students can be tougher graders than prof. No textbook. Choice of mid term or final - essay format, can be done as group. Expects good work & rewards it. Good class. Would take again.

Exams can be difficult(done in groups), if you didn't do the homework, or read your emails. He sent many examples to follow in emails to complete the exams. If you make anything less than a B in the class it's because you didn't try. You got to drop the final exam if you did well on the first 2 exams. I like how the class was structured.

Professor Lukawitz is a very good teacher. There is no textbook, only lectures/powerpoints and the option to take the final if you didn't like your mid-term grade. That said, you are completely doomed if you get some bad apples in your group, as your grade will be affected based on their performance as well. Take the class with a smart friend.

Great Professor, does not give any curves or weighted grades so it is pretty easy to keep up with everything. He does give some chances for a few points of extra credit, but not enough to change your grade very much. Very helpful, emails class notes to everybody after lectures

Based on the reviews, he has evolved, in a good way. I took the class online, but he did upload all his in class lectures. I would at least watch the ones going over the projects and mock exams; they helped! You can use notes on the exams, and most all the work had some bonus points available, and he post the correct answers after the due date.

Good professor. Funny and makes lectures not too boring. Light homework and quizzes. Exams are moderately hard but open notes usually. Attendance is mandatory, but is weighed very lightly in the grand total of points. You will do fine if you put in the effort.

Have taken Luka many times..I'd say 7910 is probably the most difficult class he teaches. He is chill. Relatively easy other than the material being rough. Tons of fluff grades to help out if you don't do too hot on the (only 2) exams. Offers chance to take cumulative final to replace first test. do well from start, you'll be fine. No attendance.

Test were all online, class was lecture slides and the occasional group assignment. He explains and walks you through anything you want. Would def recommend taking hime
