Okay hes old but sexy - Everything a prof should be. Gives great notes, easy to listen to, only three exams with a fourth optional one to cancel out your lowest grade

Pretty good teacher. No work besides tests, which have a ri-donk-ulous # of chapters in them. So keep up with the book and the WEBCT notes he posts. Class is only neccessary once a week really. Multiple choice tests that can be hard and he drops one.

Gorgeous looking man. Very clear, secretary like with details. He will paint the general poly sci pic for you and if you generally understand the notes you can do well. 3 tests , optional final. drop one test

Magee is a cool dude. Cares about students and everyone does well. lectures can get boring if you arent interested in the subject. knows his stuff.

What can I say besides sexy? Makes a boring class somewhat interesting. He's unique, and you cant not like him. Brilliant man. Go to class. Tests are tough, but youll get a B if you study decently. Very calm cool and collected.

I love this guy. He's got a dry sense of humor and is pretty witty. Find his Amer. Gov class much more interesting than the AP one I took in hs. Sexy in that older man sort of way...

Probably the best professor at UD. He is certainly one of the most knowledgeable. I probably learned more from his undergrad con law course than I did in my con law class at law school. If you're thinking about law school, this is a prof you should definitely take.

Hands down, the best teacher at the university. He makes political science, which can be very dry for many, interesting. Lectures are comprehensive and thought provoking. Just go to class and you'll get an A.

Amazing teacher. You can tell this man is absolutely brilliant. I am really interested in politics, so I loved going to the class. He made me so interested in the subject. I never really read the book, just defined the key terms, went to class, and took good notes. Loved the class, and he's kinda hot too :)

this class sucked, those pop quizzes will get you even if you go to class. there's too much information for it to be a 100 level class

class is important because of pop quizzes. After that its just reading the book and knowing the information from it. Exams can be tricky.

Ive taken him 3 times, hes my favorite professor at UD. Unbelievably understandable and helpful when you are confused. The pop quizzes are easy if you do the reading, and his class will help you with any other constitutional law class you may take.

Definitely among the best professors I've ever had. Not an 'easy' A, but with a class like this what you learn is more important than the grade you get anyway - he knows so much about the subject. If you work as hard as he does in teaching it, you'll be very happy with your investment at the end of the semester. Highly recommend.

Professor Magee's classes are very interesting and clear. He is extremely dedicated and the best professor I've had at UD.

Magee is the best professor I've ever had. If you have any interest in con law, or poli sci at all, his classes are a good option. You have to do work, and pop quizzes make you show up, but it'll be the one class you actually do want to go to. If you improve over the semester at all, the numbers don't even matter. He's wonderful.

Magee is an amazing professor who clearly knows his material. He even invited my class over to his house and cooked us dinner! This man doesnt simply teach poli sci, he teaches a love for poli sci, and builds that in his students.

Magee is the best professor at UD. He cares about each and every one of his students, and tries to show you how much he loves the subject. I would take a class with him on anything. For 401, do the readings and show up, and he'll teach you everything you need to know for the tests.

Good class. American politics are not really my thing, but he made the class interesting. Also my advisor- very good in helping to plan and advise other classes.

Professor Magee was an amazing professor. Maybe its because it's my major, but his lectures left me in awe much of the time. He was very helpful, and I never had trouble meeting him in his office. He was a bit hard, but if you listen to him, and know the main topics well, you should be able to get at least a B on his tests. Strongly recommend him.

Magee is such a good professor that he can even make a mundane class like constitutional law interesting. He is passionate, dedicated, and completely knowledgeable about his subject. You have to read, you have to show up, and you have to think. If you can do all of those things, don't miss taking a con law class with him!

I love this man. He made me change my major to polisci simply because of his passion for the topic and his way of teaching. For a big lecture, he makes you feel like he's talking to you.

Magee is the man. He is such an amazing professor. Completely knowledgeable about law. Took this class for a POSC requirement but now I'm seriously considering law school b/c of him. You must go to class, read every day, and study like crazy for the exam. Very hard class but so worth it.

Attend class, study for the clicker quizzes, and you are sure to do well in his course. He connects with the students, and even in a large lecture room, it still feels like he is talking to you only.

Great professor - knows his stuff, also a really awesome guy. Textbook readings aren't too bad and there is only one short paper and occasional quizzes in class. If you are taking POSC150, take it with Magee for sure.

If you follow politics aka can watch a political talk show and understand it you will do fine in this class. Easy A

If he didn't give random pop quizzes on class notes, you would never have to go to the class. His lectures come out of the textbook (sometimes they're word for word) so if you take notes with the textbook you should have no problem getting a good grade. He's a nice, obviously intelligent guy and you can tell he really loves teaching.

Overall Magee is a great teacher. He knows his political science. If you go to class and pay attention you don't need to read the textbook, and the subject matter is relatively simple. Take the multiple choice options of the tests, and go to the study sessions he offers before the exams. If you do these things,you can't get less than a B.

Easy class, all he does is lecture from a power point, but you have to read the book too. He also has a pop quiz every once and a while, which is why you have to class. Other than that good teacher and easy class.

I loved American Political Systems. Magee is a very engaged teacher, knows the subject so well, and makes it interesting. I really liked this course and added a Poli Sci minor after taking it. He grades fairly if not a little toughly,but you have plenty of opportunities to get your grade up (a paper, three tests, participation,etc). Take this class

james magee demands a lot from his students, and you will be rewarded in the end. he's very intelligent and engaging and the best professor at this university.

Interesting class good professor

The best professor I've ever had at UD. Very passionate about Constitutional Law. Tough class, but if you work hard you will actually learn something. I would take more classes with him just to have him again as a professor.

By far one of the best professors I've had at Delaware. Lectures were interesting. Never pulled out my phone during the 3 hour class with him. If you put in the work and go to class you'll learn a lot with Dr. Magee. He's helpful if you go to office hours.

I struggled in the start of the semester but he never lost hope in me. He cares about his students and how they do in the class. You must read and attend class. The material is interesting and I loved the course by the end.

Hands down Magee is the best poly sci professor in the department. I wish they'd fire everyone else and have him teach everything. He's clear, helpful, and obviously has a mastery of what he teaches you. You have to do the case reading if you want to pass the class, and he makes that known day one of class. TAKE HIM BEFORE YOU GRADUATE!!!

It's not easy, but it's doable. If you put in the effort and actually do your readings and try then you'll be absolutely fine. Magee is the best teacher I've ever had because he actually cares to explain everything to you. He WANTS you to learn and do well. He's great, and he pulls interesting case law to discuss. Great guy you should take him.

Not an "easy A" but EXTREMELY rewarding. His pop quizzes may seem like a pain during the semester, but they force you to read for every class which pays off big time when the exams come. He is by far the most fair teacher there is--he cares most about improvement and will work with you to get the best grade you can. Will be taking him again

He makes you want to listen in lecture, and tries to help you understand as best as possible. I've taken like 3-4 classes with him and I absolutely love him!
