Mr Moes was awesome! Very willing to help you in any way possible. Actually concerned with his students success which is rare. Classes were always exciting. Always available for help if needed. Tests a little hard, but the class and expecially the teacher is well worth it.

A great teacher, very energetic and made a rather boring subject interesting. I don't recommend his class, however - his requirements are insane! I lost 50pts (out of 230) on my final report (13 pages) because I wrote one sentence in first person. Very strict and unbending. A great teacher, just don't take him if you're concerned about your GPA

Finally! A professor that doesn't deal with BS! Extremly clear about expectations. Will withdrawl you if you don't meet them. I feel like I earned my B, where in other classes I have been basically handed an A. One of the best teachers I've come across. Really cares about the students success.
Demands are crazy! It was so hard to keep up with this class. I would only recommend taking a class with this professor if you have few credits.
he is an extremely helpful teacher. he is a bit hard and sets very high standards of expectations. but he makes the business your world and he prepares you very well. loved his attitude. he really cares about the students and he tries his best to help them. stay on his side and take alot and alot of good notes and read the BOOK.
Very demanding teacher. Some demands are unreasonable. If you are taking this class, be prepared to do homework every night in order to keep up.
HORRIBLE teacher. Grades way too hard and it is unclear what he is looking for. Unrealistic expectations.
The best teacher I ever had. Not only a teacher a good friend that inspired me in life. James Moes is an outstanding person and a great teacher to take.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. He's tough but fair -- don't take his class if you're looking to skate by with an easy A. He makes you work, but if you work hard and don't skip class, you'll be fine. I think a lot of JC students are unprepared for such a class, but those aspiring to attend 4-year universities will ultimately thank Mr. Moes.
Great guy
Introduction class with no instruction is the best way to describe Professor Moes. Great guy on a personal, one to one level but I felt he had something to prove. His career before teaching was in HRM and instead of nurturing the class teaching this Intro class he scared most of us away. I would rather see him around then learn from him in class.
Hard instructor but makes you work for your grade. Very understanding and willing to work with you.
Mr. Moes is the best teacher I have ever had. He gets the most out of each student he teaches. He will work with the student who cares about the class. Take this class because it will prepare you for the real business world.
By far the best professor I've ever had. Helped me to get my college career in the right direction after multiple failed attempts. Prepared me for university level workloads. Class was always entertaining. Tests are extremely challenging, as are homework and projects. One of the few CC profs that actually has standards. Would give my kidney to him.
Great Guy, very helpful. His Internship Class is self study and consist of 2 progress reports where you simple tell him what you have done and plan to do. then a rough draft, showing that you are working on the final project and then the point monster Final Project. Easy to do as long as you pace yourself to complete. Will take more classes from!
TOugh Subject, but Mr. moes is clear and precise on comphrending and applying the material to work assignments. test are tough and timed at 2 hours, plan to use most all of the time! Great instructor, he will go out of his way to help you and is very fair. Look forward to more classes with him in the future.
hes pretty fun
Excellent, very helpful and I would recommend all students take any course he teaches.
Tough but fair. Willing to go the extra mile to help students. Prepares students well for either a four year college or the work world.
One of the best teachers at Maple Woods. Really cares about students' success and is willing to work hard to make sure students understand the information. Good response time to messages.
What can I say, Mr. Moes is the man! He seems to intentionally make his class difficult, but it serves to bring out the best in you. At times, he can also be slightly crazy, but it makes for a more interesting experience. Please note that his passion for teaching is second to none at Maple Woods, and I would take him again in a heartbeat.
I took Mr. Moes class during his first year at MW, Spring 2006. I graduated from Park two years ago and he is one of two professors I remember making a difference in my life! I think he is a great teacher who provides a great experience! He inspired me to be better than I thought I could be!
I've taken Mr. Moes for a couple of classes. Expect to work hard in his classes, but also expect to find these classes to be among the most rewarding experiences of your college career. He is by far the most inspirational teacher I have ever had, and made Maple Woods worth going to.
One of a kind! Never have I seen a master of the art of teaching until I took no less than 4 classes from the Master. Astonishingly quick to respond, guide, encourage, or reprimand he will never compromise his standards! He holds himself to higher standards than he holds his students. Take this class if you need a hand, a push, or a life altering e
Expects the textbook to do the teaching. No lecture notes, no powerpoints. Gets frustrated when asked for tangible guidance. Textbook was also outrageously expensive.
He is an amazing teacher. NEWSFLASH it's college so everyone complaining about have to work and do projects, you have graduated highschool and are quite capiable of doing the things he assigns. He really opened up my eye and took time to help me decide a major! If you take good notes you will do just fine in his class. Keep up the great work Moes!
Pretty tough class. Graded pretty hard and very subjective in his reasoning when grading assignments. What you think is a great answer, may not be. Above average student here, but struggled a bit in his class. Also had him for Human Resources, same experience. Kinda cheesy, tree-hugger type of guy. Nice though.
My favourite teacher at Maple Woods. Yes, he has high standards, and his classes do take a lot of work, but it's not bad if you're willing to put forth the effort. He's just a bit crazy, but it helps make the class interesting. He's a cool person and he really cares about his students. I'm in my second class with him, and will definitely take more!
He is a very great teacher. Also you need to study ALL your notes from class and make sure you take a lot of them. He does give open note and book tests. Just don't advantage of him and he will go out of his way to help you...
class was really hard. but he is helpfull.
Jim is by far the best teacher Ive ever had. He will go ABOVE & BEYOND to help you suceed, if you let him. MEET WITH HIM OUTSIDE OF CLASS!!!you never know what he can do for you. Test and assignments are hard, and he grades you hard - but thats because he knows what your capable of and expects nothing less. TAKE HIM - WORK HARD - LEARN ALOT!
He was impossible. Never knew what to expect. Inconsistent grading.
His marketing class is very challenging. He requires lot's of writing- I wrote 3 large papers all about 12 pages and a few smaller ones- but they were interesting and I didn't seem to mind. Hands down the best teacher I have ever had, and will ever have. Incredible person, helpful, and caring. Teaches life lessons in class too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Jim is by far the best Instructor at Maple Woods. Yes he is challenging, demands a lot from his students, but he is extremely fair and consistent. He is very helpful and will take the time to help and listen to you outside of class. It is nice to have a teacher that cares about student success and standards.
Excellent professor that truly cares about student success. Detailed and fair. Great at motivating students.
Outstanding teacher with high standards and expectations. Cares about student success and wants students to learn and be able to apply the information. Goes above and beyond almost all of the others I've had thus far in my college career. Take Jim if you truly care about learning and your future success.
I LOVED Jim. He truly cares about you and wants you to succeed. He is very caring, but also a tough professor. The class will have about 5 case studies that should be about 7-9 pages long, there was only one test, and one large project. He will push you, but if you realize that he just cares you'll do fine.
Mr.Moes is a great professor that is super dedicated to student success, standards and quality. He refuses to easily give up on students and will expect student communication. Communicate is very important to him as he likes to build relationships. Learning is more valuable than earning a grade while knowing nothing.
Mr.Moes is awesome. Truly dedicated to students and puts a lots of emphasis on real world application, not busy high school work like most community college general education teachers. His life lessons are epic.
This will be my third class with Mr.Moes. All I can say is this - his classes are all application based and are not all bogged down in academic theory. He is also a very interesting person. You'll see. And I am not an "A" student.
Mr.Moes is super positive and motivating. His class lectures are awesome and focus on making sure you understand the material. He is extremely passionate about making sure students understand the material and also his deep caring students' own personal and professional success. He will go out of his way outside of his class to help you.
Took as an 8 week online course. 4 Discussion posts, 1 homework assignment every week. Difficult Test every other week and huge assignment due after 6 weeks, doesn't even give the whole 8 weeks. Might be better as a 16 week in person class, but don't recommend as an 8 week online class.
Mr.Moes is by far the best college teacher I have had to date. Sure he demands a lot from students but he will bring out the best in you and will improve your self esteem. He is certainly eccentric and demands excellence of yourself.
Fair, exciting teacher that actually puts serious effort into his teaching career. Loved his lectures and advice.
Extremely fair, committed to student excellence and demands students bring their "a" game. Lectures were interesting and thought provoking.
Jim is an amazing teacher and is up there for my favorite teacher that I've ever had. He loves his students and has a passion for what he does. I highly suggest taking any class that he offers!
An awesome teacher! Is truly passionate about his work. Ties in real life situations to what your learning. Honestly not a extremely easy class but if you show up listen ,participate in the class lecture, read the chapter a bit before class and not be lazy on the Projects, you'll learn so much and love his classes! Youll learn more about yourself
WONDERFUL instructor! Just a really nice and helpful, if somewhat unorthodox guy. Does not set assignment length requirements but encourages free thinking and writing as much as you feel is necessary. Recognizes effort and gives solid advice. Material can be hard, but clarification is given when asked. It's clear that he loves his job. Recommended!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! As long as you stay on top of assignments and read the chapters you'll do fine. Test are pretty decent if you study. Don't be afraid to ask questions he is willing to work with you if you open your mouth.
Definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. Very easy to talk to, understanding of many situations, and open. treats you like a person, not a child or an underling of sorts for being labeled a "student". Though the class was tough, as were the tests, Mr. Moes is very fair, and great with providing feedback and puts thought into grading.
Are you a full-time student? Do you have part-time obligations? Well, this professor is not for you. This was definitely the hardest introductory class that I have ever taken. It's very time consuming and a lot of work. Biggest regret.
You actually have to think and put effort into the class. Lectures are fun, interesting and real life. He does not use PowerPoint, canned out of the box formatted lectures that bore you to death. He is extremely interesting as a person and will go to great lengths to help you succeed as a person and as a student.
Took him for the fall 2014 term, very good at breaking down lecture material into smaller chunks of information that made class so much more enjoyable. Very approachable and friendly. Be on time for class and take notes. He values effort.
If you are on the fence about a business major, this is a great class to become more interested. Very interested in your personal life if you want to open up to him. Can be a great friend.
Took Moes for the Fall 2014 term and the comments said by other students reflect just how good Jim really is an instructor. Don't show up late and put effort into the course. Lots of good life lessons as well.
Attendance not required, but if you don't attend you won't pass.
Finished the fall 2014 term and enjoyed the experience. Certainly not boring, authentic and unique. A bit scattered when lecturing so pay attention and but the time goes by quiz however, enjoyed the life lessons and the way he presented. If u r expecting powerpoint, this is not the class for you.
Finished his BSAD 105 HR class last fall and enjoyed his online style of teaching and resources. Very clear expectations.
Unclear expectations. No direction or examples. Dropped the course because of it. Would not recommend as an online course. No teaching takes place.
In my third online course with Jim. Focused on making sure students are accountable for their work.
Consistent grading and very well involved. Likes community I aging with students.
Enjoyed his class because of his energy level. Time always flew by.
Finished Professor Moes's BSAD 204 Management Course as well as his BSAD 105 online HR course. Excellent feedback and good communication. He can be a bit rushed at times when speaking. Also his onground courses use Bb as a supplement, which is nice but he does expect a lot.
Finished his MGT 301 Business Communications course at UMKC and loved it. Jim is certainly not your typical, out of the box PowerPoint teacher. He is extremely flexible and motivating.
Finished a summer course at UMKC, MGT 301 Business Communications. Real laid back and flexible. Super student focused and friendly. He is a busy guy, teaches full-time at Maple Woods and part-time as for Park University. Lectures are good but at times all over the place, so pay attention. Really really good life lessons and good mentor.
Took Moes over the summer at UMKC for Business Communications. I enjoyed not only the class but his personality and lectures. He took a rather lame subject matter and made it actually useful and interesting. FYI - he doesn't use PowerPoint to lecture, old school but very good.
Took Moes for a class at Park a few semesters ago and taking him again this fall. He is tough but really goes out of his way to help students.
Took Moes for MGT 301 over the summer 2015 term. Graduated from UMKC and now working at Cerner. Moes helped me secure the job. He has some interesting thoughts and will work hard for you if he knows you will invest in yourself. He is very direct.
Stumbled across this site after being out college for a few years now. Noticed that Moes is still teaching at Woods and a few other schools. If I can remember anything, he moves fast. Cool guy and some interesting thoughts...
Moes does not mess around and will push you, that is in a good way. He doesn't require a certain numbers of pages, he is off the cuff in terms of comments during class and he is seriously high energy at times, almost intense. This guy seriously loves teaching and will go out of his way to invest in students if shown an interest.
Took Moes for HR during the summer term and enjoyed his fast pace, feedback and involvement in the class. Don't fall behind in his online classes and if you do, communicate with him. He is more than happy to help if students ask.
Moes will actually put effort into not only his class time but in students as well. He is my mentor and has been an awesome help and ear. He is a bit eccentric but what would you expect from a business teacher that has two full tattoo sleeves. Don't be late to class. He has very little patience for late students.
I wasn't sure what to expect b/c students kept saying, "Take his class, you'll see." Now I know what those students meant - dynamic, good story teller, uses a lot of analogies and examples to get the content across. A bit intense & pretty direct. Doesn't mince words. He will invest in you if you demonstrate effort. He values effort a lot!
Professor Moes was one of the best professors I've had. He's laid back, and really encourages all of his students to excel in the class. If you need help, he was the most understanding professor I have ever had. He went above and beyond to help me succeed. Seems like he was very busy though, so it was difficult to get clear feedback from him.
You will either love him or hate him. Jim is a very interesting person, his teaching style is by far the best I have ever experienced. He teaches you real life skills instead of words in the book. He offers his help to everybody who deserves his time. It's amazing how much he cares about his students. Would 100% take his class again!
Amazing teacher! He truly loves his job and it shows. If he is teaching a class I need, I will take him over anyone else in a heartbeat! Invest yourself in his course and he will invest in you!
Great upbeat lectures!
Really into his teaching career and very interested in helping students become successful in their personal and/or professional lives. Expect to be engaged outside the classroom as he uses discussion board forums, learnsmarts and quizzes to keep students on track and accountable. Lectures are outgoing, entertaining and full of life skills.
Extremely fair, easy to communicate with. Allows you to text him but slow at responding. He will respond to you but he lives in his own world of response time. They are totally random. Super helpful and great lectures, entertaining like a show but useful and actually real world.
Excellent
Great attitude and student centered disposition. Jim actually teaches and does his jobs, which requires students to work and think. Feedback is detailed and comprehensive, which is awesome and helpful. Direct and to see he point. Big into accountability and effort.
Has good consistency amoung his courses in terms of due dates, assessments and exams. I can echo the great feedback provided like the other students indicated. By far the best online and most active online teacher at MCC, hands down. Takes a big interest in your learning. Extremely engaged and positive attitude.
Solid teacher and person. You can tell he loves his job and will make extra time for you if he sees students demonstrate the effort. Taking him again for BSAD 109 and 205.
Jim does a really good job relating the course material to work. He gets students to think and take accountability for their work and career. He is a must take before leaving Maple Woods, even if business is not your major. Very influential along with solid life advice. Hands down the best Maple Woods.
I would agree with the same comments left over and over in that Moes is the best at MCC. I've taken his online and on-ground courses and he truly cares about student success, loves engaging with students and will go out of his way. He gives great feedback like many other students stated and his stories are awesome and yet, realistic.
Took Moes at Maple Woods and finished with Moes at UMKC. Loved his courses while at Maple Woods and still loved his two courses at UMKC. He is a younger teacher with interesting ideas about life, society and the world. Definitely a different type of thinker, which is good and motivating. He is a must take before leaving college.
Took Moes for Intro to Business at Park University. Great personality, loved how he related class material to real world situations and enjoyed the applicable projects. Positive attitude and upbeat all the time. Certainly a must take.
Finished his online HR class. Great class organization. Great feedback and detail with all assessments. At times, a page of feedback. Tons of project feedback and very quick to respond. Always within 24 hours are less. Participates in the discussion board with the class and is actually engaged. Easily the best online teacher at MCC.
My first online class and it was nice to have Moes. Clear directions, engaged, and responsive. Gives great feedback and does a really good job participating within all facets of the class. A bit eccentric but in a good way. Good life lessons as well.
Took Moes for Field Experience I & II over the summer. Great cover letter, resume, personal marketing feedback throughout the term. Class is all hands-on and application oriented. Provides solid feedback that is very timely and useful. Good personality and attitude from Moes.
Enjoyed his class. Great attitude, fun stories. Enjoyed his use of Blackboard outside of class.
Took Moes at UMKC for Business Communications and had an excellent experience. Made the material interesting, useful and actually fun. He will expect a lot but he gives just as much in return. Definitely a must take before leaving UMKC. Also has great perspective of life. Outstanding mentoring skills.
Mr. Moes is very knowledgeable about the subject, passionate and truly cares about student success. Actually a hidden treasure among the Maple Woods faculty because he doesn't teach general education classes. He is a tough grades but provides outstanding feedback. He uses Blackboard extensively. Plan to take more classes.
Very clear online class with high expectations. Great feedback with good detail and suggestions for improvement. However, good feedback for what I did right as a student. Positive attitude and outlook. Extremely fair and easy going.
Finished an 8 week online Marketing class & taking two more online classes with him. Great teacher, great attitude and feedback. Very interactive with students, personable and caring. He is a must take before leaving MCC or just for college credit.
Spends a lot of time helping students outside the classroom. Worked with me on helping select my four year school after Maple Woods. Discussed my financial aid, scholarship options, transfer classes, schedule. Really cares about student success. Has a great attitude about life.
Loved this class!! He let's you work at your own pace and it is outlined so clearly that you know what you're doing every week without confusion. One of the toughest classes I have taken, but clearly the most rewarding. Put the work in, you will make the grade. Definitely recommend this professor!
Finished Moes this past term and he is by far the best teacher at Maple Woods. He is very involved in your educational experience and will invest the time it takes to make a person successful. Moes is not an easy grade by any means but his attitude, personality and willingness to help is truly what more Maple Woods teachers need to demonstrate.
Moes has been my favorite teacher over my college career. He is genuinely interested in his student's success in and outside of the classroom. I completed my required classes and was truly saddened I would no longer have him as a teacher. He does hold high expectations, but is willing to put in any effort needed on his end as well.
If Prof-et Jim taught any class I would take that class. There has never been a professor who cared more about their student, than this guy. You need help with your resume? Holy hell, look who is there early in the morning to help you with that. Take this professor, trust me. I switched majors because of this guy.
Finished Moes this past Fall 2016 term and loved his humor, knowledge, wit and stories. He applies the material to real life and you walk away from class wanting more. I looked forward to only attending his class on T/TR b-c of his eccentric teaching style, thoughts and personality. He has extremely unique views of life and problem solving.
Great student centered teacher. You can tell he loves what he does. Be ready to participate and be held accountable in his online class. He will keep you on track. Had is very nice and will work with you as long as you communicate with him. I'm taking his 105 and 205 classes now.
Wow, where do I begin with this guy. He has to be the most personable professor I have ever met. Extremely humble, and has a great life story. On top of that, he is over-the-top passionate about his students. He will help review your resume in his off time, and in class he makes an effort to make you think. Total gem, he takes his class seriously.
Greatest teacher I have ever had. If you have the opportunity to take his class, definitely do it! He is very entertaining, knowledgeable, and gives great life lessons. If you work hard you'll get a good grade.
He teaches all three all of the main online business courses at MCC, 105, 109, & 205, and I've taken all three. So if you manage one you will most likely do well in his other courses because he his extremely consistent, fair, and expects a lot. He values communication. Exceptionally good online teacher at MCC.
Finished Moes this past Spring 2017 with both BSAD 204 Management & BSAD 205 Marketing and loved both classes. Provided outstanding feedback, guidance and mentorship. Fabulous student centered attitude and really loves his job. Will work really hard to make sure students are successful and goes the extra mile. A real gem at Maple Woods.
Solid online Supervision class, nothing overly difficult, really organized and extremely good feedback from Moes on a weekly basis. I wish more teachers provided the kind of feedback like Moes. There is a reason he has so many kudos for excellent feedback and it shows. I am taking him for two other online courses this summer. Loved his attitude
Super involved for an online class and great weekly feedback. Quick to get back with answers on questions and loved the way he sets up his classes. Taking two more online courses this summer. Very student centered and goes the extra mile.
Fantastic teacher that is involved in the class but in your academic goals. Loved his attitude and disposition toward students and life. A must take before leaving Maple Woods.
Finished Moes in Spring 2017 and I would agree with the comments. He is by far the most caring and outgoing online teacher I've had at MCC in my 2 years. He is engaged in your education, he does ask a lot from students but he puts in just as much effort grading and providing feedback. Extremely organized and intelligent. Good student attitude.
Mr. moes is one of the greatest teacher i ever had. i graduated from community college this past may it all because of him. he even help me with my financial problem including buying my books. very nice guy and smart.
Finished Moes for a Summer BSAD 204 Management class and he was amazing. Great attitude and outstanding feedback. IF you are looking for a teacher who will provide feedback, participate in class and will go the extra mile, take Moes for business classes at MCC. This guy is awesome becacause he actually puts time into class to make it legit.
Excellent choice for a business or marketing major. Great attitude and really focused on making sure you learn the material. I loved his disposition toward students and the material in class. Took Moes for both Marketing and Management in Spring 2017 and wish I had more classes with him. Make sure you take good notes. Real lively in class.
I really enjoy Professor Moes classes in Business Management and Marketing. I have learned a great deal and he bring real world experience to the table.
Great attitude and fun lectures. Keeps class very interesting and interactive. Loves working with students and getting to know you. Helped me plan my schedule and easy to work with. Would take again.
Moes provides outstanding feedback on all work within the class. I loved attending his class each week because he has a great outlook on life, does an excellent job covering the material and really does a good job engaging students in the class discussion. He is extremely friendly and provides a lot of examples to explain the material.
The best part of this class is really the instructor. There are a lot of assignment to complete, but they are doable. I took this as an eight week class online, and would take it again. Jim gives a lot of feedback and it is obvious that he really cares about his students. I would definitely recommend taking this class online with Jim! 10/10
Moes provides awesome weekly feedback on all work assigned. He is engaged in class and his lectures are the best part of class, in fact the main reason I attend class. Great attitude and very willing to work with students. Loved his stories and motivational techniques.
Just make sure you read every chapter. It sounds like a lot of work for the week, but reading the chapter and doing the quiz in the online textbook is almost one in the same. The discussion boards are simple and straight forward. Really if you just do the work, its an easy grade.
Finished Moes for Marketing & Management this Spring 2018 and he was awesome. Provided consistent weekly feedback on all quizzes, homework and exams. Moes is super student centered and has a great personality. Super friendly and provided outstanding lectures each week. Loved the way he explained the material in class with his examples.
Took Moea during Spring 2018. Awesome experience because of his teaching style, willingness to help outside class and his outgoing personality. Kind of a tough grader but he provides excellent feedback. Definitely worth taking before leaving Maple Woods.
Moes is awesome because he provides a ton of weekly feedback on discussion board forums, quizzes, homework, and exams. Really engaged for a CC teacher and is willing to go the extra mile to help pass the class if you are willing to put in the work. Extremely student centered with a great attitude and outlook on life. Gives good advice.
Moes is most likely my favorite teacher of all time. He comes from a humble history and always has a PMA. He used to be a HR manager so he is really good at "keeping up with the times". I took Intro to Business and he does everything possible to help you pass the class. If you get the chance, get a class with this professor, you will not regret it.
I am taking a second course with Professor Moes. I have now taken 2 online courses from him. He is clear with expectations, he responds quickly, he makes class and learning fun, he grades very fairly and knowledgeable. You have to participate but he is very clear and upfront. I would take all of my business courses from him if I could.
I too, have finished my third class with Moes and have to say all three were an excellent experience. He is very smart, provides detailed feedback and is very clear with his expectations. He is extremely positive in his weekly feedback and his class is extremely organized and easy to follow.
Finished MW this fall 2018 and I am glad I finished my final semester with Moes. He has a great attitude, gives great feedback and is super friendly. He really cares about his students and goes the extra mile outside of class to help if asked. Loved his lectures, super entertaining and fun. Expects a lot from students but its worth the effort.
Finished Moes in Fall 2018 and loved in his attitude in class. Always positive and caring. This dude loves teaching and loves students. He is extremely knowledgeable about in the information he teaches and his lectures are super fun. Be brings a lot of energy to the table and his life messages are a real gem. He brings a lot experience.
Awesome class with a great teacher and person. Willing to go the extra mile and will meet outside of class if necessary. Great positive attitude with important life lessons to be learned in class. He can be a bit scattered at times. Loved his lectures and feedback. A must take before leaving the Woods.
I took the 8 week online class. Very straight forward, just make sure to do all the work and you will be successful. Responded to my emails quickly and gave great feedback,
Moes has an awesome attitude toward students. Always willing to help outside of class time and was a great mentor for me this past year. He has great real life stories for his lectures and time goes by fast. Make sure you do the work to pass. He throws a class picnic at the end of each term as well.
Moes is the best teacher at Maple Woods. He gives great feedback, responds back to emails very quickly and truly cares about student success. He has a great attitude toward students and is quick to help with any situation. Loved the way he set up his class and will be taking more classes from him. True gem at Maple.
Finished two courses with Moes over the summer and loved them. He was super organized, provided awesome feedback and was very friendly. It is easy to tell that he cares about student success by the way he constantly writes emails to students, writes announcements and motivational messages. I would highly suggest taking him. Loved his attitude.
Moes is crazy good at feedback and his course is super organized. He is super involved in the course and I am taking another with him the second 8 weeks. Great attitude toward student learning and extremely clear grading criteria, no surprises here. Just follow directions and you should do pretty well. You can tell he loves teaching.
Awesome class with Moes. Taking another one with him right now the second 8 weeks. Loved his attitude. Gives great weekly feedback and is engaged in the class. Does a great job communicating and class is super organized.
Moes has a great attitude toward students and made the class fun. He has awesome stories and is a very good motivator. This is my second class with him and not disappointed at all. Work is not too complicated as long as you stay with it each week.
Finished Marketing with Moes. Great experience because of his attitude and lectures. Extremely friendly and good at grading. Loved his weekly feedback and motivational messages. Taking another class with him in the spring.
Moes gives great lectures that are life lessons with a lot of jewels and gems. If you want straight textbook material, take another teacher because he is a real world guy with a lot of good experience. Extremely positive attitude toward student success and he is extremely fair and very passionate. Loved going to his class. My favorite teacher.

Moes is legit! Super helpful when it comes to awarding a final grade in the class as long as you work consistently throughout the class. Very friendly and caring. Loves teaching and working with students. Doesn't teach much anymore because he is now the division chair, so take a class with him if you can. Great mental attitude and motivator.

Moes is the best teacher at MCC. Loved his attitude and his willingness to help whenever necessary. He is the Division Chair now, so he doesn't teach much. I would take him for all my business classes.

Moes has a great attitude and loves to teach. His online class is extremely organized and responds to questions pretty fast. Very willing to help with anything and student centered.
This was the most homework that I can recall for any class, ever. The amount was so heavy that the work became redundant and repetitive, and made it not fun at all. As long as you write tons of paragraphs, it was an easy A. But I would not take him again because of the extremely heavy workload.
Moes is just an awesome online instructor. Class is very organized, detailed and fun. Moes has a great attitude and disposition toward students. He is extremely friendly and willing to help. The class is a bit of work, but not unmanageable. Certainly would recommend any online class he teaches.
he is AMAZING. my favorite professor. he is extremely caring and cares more about us being ok then just giving us a grade. allowed us to talk about our due dates and what works best for us. he is kind and funny and easy to listen to. very manageable workload as well
The nicest most caring person I've ever met. He is easygoing about everything, asks when you want things to be due, gives out his personal number if you ever need him, and lectures in a fun way that actually made me learn the material. Definitely recommend taking one of his classes.
Easily one on the best instructors at Maple Woods. Attitude is positively amazing, totally willing to help students with whatever they need. Great storyteller and provides a lot of useful life information. Absolutely love his class.

Professor Moes is an amazing instructor who makes the class fun and engaging. He's super caring and flexible, allowing us to work at our own pace. Unstuck study was a lifesaver for studying - highly recommend taking this course with Moes!
Moes is a stud. Awesome teacher, super friendly and caring. Really knows his material. Would highly recommend.
Jim was a fantastic professor, he cares about his students and would do anything to see you achieve success. He doesn't use your typical teaching style of powerpoint-lecture but he teaches by interacting with the class, visuals, and even advice. He is easily one of my favorite professors I have ever had the pleasure to learn from.
I loved Moes!! I took 2 of his classes back to back semester because I enjoyed his class so much! He has nothing but love and respect for his students and wants to see them succeed and do great things!!
Be prepared to pay $200 for Cengage, a website with the textbook and the assignments. The website only offers a 4-month subscription even though the class I took was only 2 months over the summer. The assignments and tests could have been through Canvas for free rather than paying over half of what the class already costs
Moes was solid. By far best instructor at Maple Woods. He has got to be one of the most caring humans I have met in my life.
