I hate bio and suck at it but I actually found his class interesting. Not the easiest but classtime is interesting and fun... I think Dr. Mone is the man.. great prof and I learned a lot

He is a very cool guy and is interesting to listen to BUT... the class is HARD he knows alot about bio and expects students to as well. So if you aren't really into bio I would probably take another prof who is a little easier.

he makes biology pretty entertaining. he's a funny teacher. a good teacher too. you have to listen to his lectures and take good notes. you must read your book. if you don't, you won't pass the course.

He's a really funny guy, but he teaches so fast you have to tell him to slow down...the summer session is really hard to stay on top of, you have to study alot...and be prepared to get only like a C

might know his bio but apparently cannot do math...keep ALL your papers with grades and triple check him. He COMPLETELY messed my grade up and screwed me out of points. Had a great sense of humor, but probably better for a science person, unlike me.

Really awesome professor. He is always excited about whatever he's teaching and makes the class interesting. Lab is very easy if you pay attention and study for quizes. If you study all your notes for tests and read the book you'll do fine.

Dr. Mone is an awesome guy, very helpful if you ask questions but his tests are EXTREMELY hard!! likes to throw in lots of tricky questions. I've had Dr. Mone for lots of bio classes and he rocks he's my favorite biology prof. I've learned so much from him, he's really helpful, funny, and nice, and he doesn't mind when I screw up or ask too many questions.

tests are extremely hard. pay attention. a lot of what he goes over is not found in the text. very fun professor, keeps your attention.

Dr. Mone was one of the best teachers that I've ever had. Do yourself a HUGE favor and take his class! They are alot of fun and he always relates everything to sex and drinking to keep it intresting.

This guy's passion and humour are all well and great, but his amorous nature clouds the material. His tests are rediculous and he doesn't care about your grade as much as making you laugh. Great comedian and person, not an effective professor. If u wanna learn biology properly transfer to Pitt or Carnegie-Mellon.

He is possibly the funniest person I've ever met. He makes you work your butt off but you learn a lot. I loved his class. It was awesome.

If you like professor with a sense of humor, take him. Test are little bit hard, sometimes you may think you study or you know everything, but there are couple things tricky on the test. It requires you to review a lot fot the test. He talk a bit faster than normal, so make sure you ask question if you miss what he said.

Virology was by far the best class at millersville I had ever taken, I took it as a sophmore so it just goes to show that if you work hard, an A is possible. Also grades might be important, but the amount of knowledge that I took away from this class will stay with me for the rest of my career. Dr. Mone is one of my favorite teachers of all time.

Dr. Mone is a terrific professor. He has extreme passion for teaching and the subject material and his enthusiasm is second to none. He really wants his students to succeed. Very funny guy. You don't have to be a Biology person to enjoy a class with Mone. Tests are tough- do everything possible to do well (review sessions, extra credit, attendance)

Dr. Mone is my favorite professor at MU. He is passionate about what he does. People on here keep saying how hard he is and not to take his class. Don't go to college if you aren't looking for a challenge. His class is challenging, but it is worth taking. Most of the information comes from lecture. I hardly used the textbook.

Dr. Mone' was awesome. I really enjoyed his class. His lectures are enthusiastic and he has passion in his profession. His tests are hard and he sometimes talks fast. TAKE NOTES, STUDY THEM AND MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW THINGS WORK NOT JUST TERM AND DEFINITION. UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS.

Very Stylish man, he gets overly excited about biology which is very entertaining. He is a good teacher, if u ask questions he will answer them. he only takes attendance 3-4 times a semester, randomly. There are only four tests, as long as you study your notes you will be fine.

Really funny guy and gets excited about teaching.. but for a 100 level class, definitely way too hard. He only takes attendance for 4 classes but his exams are HARD... reading the book helped a little. I don't think I would take another class by this professor again.

I took Mone for a summer class, so it was a lot of work. But I loved him. He is so excited about what he teaches and loves doing it. He is a bit scattered, but I truly enjoyed class and gained a newfound love for bio! I worked my butt off for a 98%-you have to know your stuff, but he was very helpful & interesting! I recommend-but not for slackers!

Mone is really awesome teacher. I hated Bio in high school but he made me love it. His passion in what he does keeps the class interesting.Although, it was pretty difficult I would recommend him for sure.

By far my favorite professor at MU. He is passionate about bio and will ramble all day if you let him. Very very smart guy who knows EVERYTHING you ask him related to biology. The class is a bit challenging but as long as you take good notes and understand the processes of everything, you will pass. I recommend him if you have to take the class.

If you are forced to take Bio (which is the "easiest" of most science courses) TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is very passionate about the topic and will truly do whatever he can to help you. His tests and bio quizzes are hard though so be sure to take plenty of notes and actually study them. Try your best to keep up with hi and you'll be fine!

Dr. Mone is the man but his tests are pretty tough. Just make sure you study and you'll do alright. The textbook is VERY helpful with BIOL 100, regardless of the teacher.

Loved this professor! He is so passionate and hilarious, which made class very interesting and the information was easier to keep in my head. Tests could be a little hard, but after studying and reading the book I have a high A in the class which was only a 5 week summer course. Would recommend him to anyone! He makes bio fun!

This class can be hard and you need to stay on top of your work. The test can be very hard so make sure you read the book. The lab write ups are long so make sure you pay attention on how to due them. One nice thing is he gives 50 pts for attendance so this can help your grade a lot just my going to class.

If you have to take Bio I'd recommend Mone. It's a hard class regardless of the professor, but Mone is very helpful and funny. His lectures can be hard to follow if you aren't interested in the subject, so I would highly recommend skimming the readings before coming to class. Also his labs are so fun! Love him!
