He explained this throughly so the class would understand. Very helpful!
He was very thorough and willing to help out whenever needed!
Great teacher to get you prepaired for 202, but stay on top of your work!
Nice guy. Helped me out a lot. ACC is difficult for me, but I did well.
Very adapt. Veteran. Don't get behind, course snowballs. Can get boring. CPA.
He is very helpful and clear in what he teaches. He looks like Al Gore!
He never followed a format so it was hard to study for the tests and quizes.
He acts like a robot and has a problem with following along with the book.
sux. had to drop the class
Go to class!! Easy to fall behind, hard to catch up. Sexy in an amish sorta way
Great guy, very nice and very interesting. Dont miss a class and pay attention
EVIL!!! Irritating mannerisms, monotonous, and inflexible.

If you attend class, you'll do fine
Good teacher, if you go to class, and don't fall behind. Very understandable!
Keep up, and he'll be great. Miss out on something, and you're in trouble.
Good Teacher but strict on the rules do not miss a test
Welcome to the real world. Teaches as the subject is practised.
If you plan on taking 202 take neurath for 201, he will prepare you!!
good teacher, tough grader, accounting machine, worth taking just go to class
Good guy but hard grader. VERY helpful. Prepares you for 202.
Very nice guy, tough grader though. Do yourself a favor and go to class
Worst college experiance ever...miss a class and you're done!
accounting is tough, but this guy is good. very real world
great accounting teacher, I loved him
Great guy, even better if you meet him at a party outside of class...
Thinks he's a tough guy, but fair and does good getting the material across. I'd take him if I were an ACC major, but if you just need the class, take someone else.
do not take him!!!
Went to class everyday and still didn't pass. He's extreamly hard on everyone and makes you feel stupid if you ask about anything. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE!
A teacher you can actually learn from. Take the class!
I liked his class. He's a good, helpful teacher. Hard material!!! Good teacher. I missed one class (second day of ch. 8) and didn't feel like I was done... but we'll see after finals:0) If you want a challenge and a good class, take this one.
I loved him. He was so nice adn helpful, goto class!

Jimmy Neu. is the best damn instructor that I have ever had. Although this class is extremely challenging, as long as you want to pass the class you will. He won't leave you hanging and is a very nice and caring person towards all of his students.
Nuerath is extremely sharp, and effective. He is actually a practicing CPA, and a prof on the side.
Very awesome professor. Presents the information very clearly and makes sure that everyone understands. Take accounting with him if you can!
Awesome Professor! Makes sure everyone understands the material before going on. Make sure to attend every class and go to the SI sessions! Not hard to come away with an A if you put an effort towards learning the material. Take him for sure!
One of the best Acc teachers. He wants to help at all costs. Make sure you attend class though.
Very helpful and explains everything as many times as needed. Just make sure you dont skip alot.
He was one of the worse teachers I've ever had at CMU. He was not helpful and didn't seem to care about his students. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
James is one of the best teachers around. This material is very difficult, but I would not want another prof. teaching it to me! Take James if you really want to learn the material for upcoming accounting classes!
Prof. Neurath is a great proffesor. He expects alot from his students but it'll pay off come exam time. He really helps you prepare for further accounting courses.
awesome teacher..very helpful and motivating..he tries hard with all his students and make sure they do well. if u wanna really learn accounts then take him..excellent teacher..
Jimmer seems nice in the beginning and he makes it seem like his class wont be that difficult, however it is difficult. His tests are hard.
The best teacher I have had thus far. His 201 course really prepares you for ACC 202. If you actually want to learn, take this class.
Took it last semester! Prof. Neurath was the best! He definitely focuses on teaching those who want to learn. Expects a lot out of students in order to prepare them for business careers. Learned more in his class than any other! I loved it!
he was extremely boring, and did not help me out at all. i once had to go out of state for a meeting and i could not take a quiz and i approached him in advance and he would not even let me take it early or later. i lost points for not being there!
James is a great teacher. He knows his stuff and will spend as much time as is needed on any topic. Homework is not graded, but you still should do it. Great guy though. If you fail it is your own fault. He offers a lot of extra help.
He's a great prof and very helpful. The exams and quizzes are challenging. The only other points to earn is participation. So make sure you do it all the time. It plays a big factor in determining your final grade.
His quizes and exams are fair, but quite hard. You need to do the homework even though it is never collected, it is the easiest way to understand his lectures. Going to class is the key to getting a decent grade.
Really cool prof, but way too difficult. He moves to fast, I know there's a lot to cover- but seriously. He would be awesome if he would slow down a little, but he moves at turbo speed. I ended up dropping the class.
Very knowledgeable and helpful, but the material is just flat out hard. He does move kinda fast but if you do the homework, go to SI and actually try, it's easy to pass. Tests and quizes are hard, I got Cs mostly with studying almost every night.
Good professor, hard tests. He is very knowledgable about the course, but the exmas are very hard. The key to a decent grade... GO TO CLASS. Participation is crucial!!
He is a very helpful teacher and willing to spend as much time on a topic possible. Test and Quizzes are hard. Just go to class, do the homework and you should pass.
One of the hardest classes I've ever had. I had to attend every single lecture. He is very good, smart professor but his exams are a nightmare. Very difficult class to pass unless you had accounting in high school.
i thought he was a good teacher untill i found out he quite screwed up in his thinking i had a b average in class anf the final exam day i took the exam but i cudnt mark my answers on the scan sheet untiull the last minute,he didn accept it n gaveme a 0.
he just sucks and his tests are extremely hard. moves way too fast. I took 201 and I thought i was in ACC 39472917
ACC 201 was new to me. He keeps it very structured so you always know what is going on. He's very serious that's why his tests seem hard, but he really cares and never wants students to feel dumb. I would definately recommend him!
very helpful teacher and very easy to understand... i hate ACC and he made it relatively easy to learn... i think he's one of the better ACC teachers at central
I wish he was teaching 202 next semester I have had a great experience in his class understanding some difficult concepts. I took Acc in high school so it was all review for the first 5 weeks. I would recommend you take him.

He is an excellent teacher. You do have to do your hw, but he doesnt give a ton. If you keep up on your work and participate in class, you will do great. I never knew anything about accounting but after this class i like it (kind of lol)
He quite favors the obnoxious "nerdy" boys in the class. I think that he relates to their annoying immature level. You better go to class if you want to know what is going on. Participate, he marks it every single time you talk.
If you are looking for an easy A, you will NOT get it w/ Neurath. You have to go to class, every day, and ask a LOT of Q. Ask for help even if you understand everything b/c when test time comes you realize that you dont know anything. Take it from me... DONT TAKE HIM!
Excellent teacher best in the department take him if you really want to understand whats going on. Wish he taught all ac****ing classes.
very very helpful. participation is the key in this class. the tests are impossible- don't try to program stuff in your calculator cause he doesn't let you use them! quizes are easy, hw isn't graded, and like i said before participation is counted
Good teacher, he knows what he's talking about but he doesn't go over everything that is on the tests so you need to read the book. Tests are hard.
Hated the class but if you have to take it, take Neurath. He is a good teacher but exams are pretty difficult. Go to class and do homework and you'll do fine. This will probably take much more effort than all of your other classes you've had.
Great guy. Great class. Brilliant, show up to every class prepared and ready to go, study, then study some more and you'll be good. All it takes is time. One of the best in the dept.
He's a hard teacher, but despite being challenging, he is very helpful and will explain the material until it is understood. He cares a lot about his student's success and gives a heads up on things. Don't miss his class and you should be fine.
I don't know what everyone on here is talking about, but this class is god-awful. I don't know a single person who likes it (nor is doing well). He can be a complete a**hole and tell you that you're stupid, his tests are very hard, but he is always available to help you.
Good Teacher. His class is not watered down and it's a no-bull**** attitude. Help is avaiable to everyone if willing to take it. The class is taught with a professional feel which makes it easier to relate in real life. Test are only has hard as you make them to be,that is study and you'll do well
He's very serious about the class & runs it with a very professional attitude. You have to do the work to understand what's going on. Ask questions in class, read the chapters before tests. Take ACC101 before this class & it's much easier!
all you do the entire class period is go over the homework. he lectures every once and a while but not near as much as he should. the si instructor is easier to understand than he is.if you take this class go to as many si sessions as possible. he is also very moody.can be an a## some days (taxes?)
Great teacher. The thing that stands out to me the most is that he has good character. He is not as concerned about the knowledge as challenging us to be better students and people. This is the class I have the learned the most in. I didn't even like accounting before this class and now I am conside
Neurath is a thorough teacher, the entire class is around the homework that we do. He doesn't help me personally with his teaching, the class is selftaught via the textbook. He thinks people do badly because they dont do the work,I study for hours for each quiz and can't win!he loves it,i hate it
"I feel that everything is fair game" will become your most hated, feared, and dreaded phrase on the planet. I think he enjoys it when we don't do very well.
This class sucks. Having said that, he does the best he can to make it interesting. It's still accounting, he can only do so much. He does do a good job explaining things and will do whatever he can to help students.
I think he's a great teacher. if you are willing to do some homework, you can easily pull off a B in this class. only 2 exams and 5 quizes then the final. Go to class everyday, ask questions and you are guarenteed 20%.
He's the best teacher i've had in ages; He spells out whats expected in the beginning... it's your choice to do the work or not. He's very encouraging and always offers to help. Its obvious that he loves teaching -thats always the best characteristic of a good teacher -i think he's amazing!!!
I agree, i dont know what everyone is talking about. I think its pretty d**n hard. Tests are a huge margin of your grade, so if you f**k up on your tests and your basically screwed. I've done all of my homework, attend all classes. (I've missed one) and yet im still failing my tests....Go Figure.
This class is a toss up depending on the student. Neurath is a great teahcer, knows what he's talking about, but if you don't have the time to dedicate towards homework and studying then hold off on the class. I understood what he was talking about, but don't have time to study si I am failing, but
This guy is a good teacher and knows his stuff. The material is tough and he requires actual effort. He is more then helpful and will gladly answer any questions. Only bad parts are no study guide, no curve, no blackboard, no extra credit, no curve, and there is a cumulative final exam.
Great professor who knows the material and actually practices what he teaches. Being ethical is one of his passions. He wants everyone to do well. Ask questions and he will answer. USE THE BOOK AND YOU WILL DO FINE! He does use it for everything. Great guy, wish I could have him for every class.
Awesome Prof who can actually teach the material. Definitely need the book and will need to read it and do the hw.Class participation is a must.Tests are not too diffucult if you read the chapters, do hw and pay attention and asking ?'s when confused. Wish I could have him for all my bus classes.
He is a good instructor, knows accounting. Preaches Ethics, but he himself does not practice it. There were 2 occasions in which he was not ethical. Watch yourself. He is an arrogant SOB and has favorites. Remember, you are paying to be here.
He is very hard, if you don't eat, sleep and cr*p Accounting, you're bound to fail.Hes out to kill ur gpa. Ethics-is enforced but not practiced by the prof.He has favorites. He likes hangin' out w/us people 'our age' but he tries to make it a business environment... many double standards--be careful
Do not take him
If you are going to listen to someone's opion just one time this year, then listen to me. Do not take this class unless you have a photographic memory and have taken extremly high level accounting classes in high school. I understood what the accounting book talked about, but the teacher was very confusing when he used his own materials not in boo
This is one of the best prof's at CMU. he makes sure everyone understands the problems. and yea he gives out homework daily but its not due, however it really helps if u do it. tests are hard but if u do the homework and go to class its no problem. oh yea u also get points for showing up and answering question in class. Great teacher, take him.
This is the worst teacher on earth, he does believe in a curve, and what he teacjes in class, only half is on the exam. Do not take him he sucks.
Brilliant guy - Most difficult class I've ever taken and the toughest prof I've ever had. I worked extremely hard and wasn't even close to an A. His "education needs to hurt" mentality destroys (fails) half of the business students that take him for 250. Do your homework, come to class, study 8+ hours for exams - you might get a C+! Have fun!
Hardest class Ive ever taken. You get ZERO extra credit and ZERO curve. I have never worked so hard for a B in my life. Only two kids in my class did better than a B. I learned a lot about accounting, but the guy has ZERO mercy. Class average on first test was a 61%, with no curve. Ouch! You might learn, but you will take a gpa hit, guranteed.
Might be the worst teacher I've had at CMU...For sure the worst accounting teacher...
Well considering he gave me a D+ , thats what I gave him. He is really a smart guy, but the class is so hard. I worked pretty had for the D+..maybe what I learned from him will pay off...while i'm retaking accounting!
This is a very hard class, he is a smart guy but is a tough grader and not a very good teacher. Intense homework and tough tests, if you can take someone else, do it. Class is also really boring. The material covered is very complex, something i would expect in a higher level class. I'm having a great time taking it a second time.
Horrible Teacher. Grades on attendance and participation and there is nothing you can do to make up attendance points and you aren't given any days that you can miss. Even if you in the hospital and have a doctors note, you lose points.
Great guy, nice to talk to. Very confusing, pulls ideas out of his head hoping we understand it from the reading. A lot of homework that doesnt count. Go to class everyday and participate. The best grade you'll get in the calss is probably his Project.
Tests were hard, class attendance is a must.
Great teacher, but the class is extremely hard, uses the book every day, sometimes concepts are unclear but he'll help to clear them up: my suggestion is to group up with people and get the work done together
Worst teacher ever. This guy makes requires you to dedicate all of your time to Accounting. I have never worked so hard in my whole life and still only got a C and my GPA paid for it. He is so confusing. I taught myself the class, along with The SI sessions. Avoid this guy at all costs.
This is the worst prof EVER! When I got sick, he wouldn't let me make up an EXAM and I had to take a W in the class. I changed my major from business largely in part because of this class. AVOID!
this class was not that bad if u just go to class everyday an study before exams an quizs youll pass
This was probably the worst teacher i have ever had here at Central. He hardly explains anything, gives you no source of notes and expects you to understand what hes talking about without any specifics. The tests are next to impossible and he is very vague on what will be on them! DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!!
Yeah, this is a hard class, but it's not the professor, it's the course itself. I respect that he tells you at the beginning of the course that you need to apply yourself to pass the class. He gives you the grade you deserve to get. At least he is better than Ardnt!
WILL make you MISERABLE! expects you to dedicate ALL of your time to this class. DOES NOT help you prepare for tests and purposely makes them impossible!, DOES NOT use blackboard, email, VERY UNHELPFUL and WORTHLESS.. arrogant and unapproachable. *WARNING* DO NOT TAKE!!!!
As many have said already, James Neurath is an awful professor!! There was no way to contact him other than during his office hours. He grades you down if you don't participate in class often, and does not explain anything in depth. Expects you to know the material already. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!
I'd have to agree with everyone else about him being a horrible teacher. He is very, very tough. My class started with about 20 people and ended with 8! The average on the first exam was 56% or something close to that. Avoid him if at all possible! I got my first "C" this past semester from him...ugh!
He is extremely strick and will reduce your grade if you do not answer questions in his class. He also takes off quite a few points if your cell phone goes off, eventually reducing you to failure for repeated offenses.
Terrible Teacher
Impossible teacher. Many students droped, and those who stays most failed. Exams are hard, and so are the quizes. Only way anyone passed was going to the SI sessions. Definatly hardest class Ive taken. No extra credit given, or sympathy for making up quizes or exams. GET OUT NOW.
All I can say is do NOT take him if at all possible. Don't listen to the people who say he's great, he's not. What kind of professor doesn't use blackboard and email? You basically have no idea what your grade is until the end of the semester when you realize you might be screwed.
HARD TEACHER! Takes daily attendence and participation points. Doesn't use blackboard or email which makes it impossible to get ahold of him. If you ask a question he often makes you feel really dumb in front of the whole class. Overall if you can TAKE SOMEONE ELSE!
By no means a easy teacher. However, very fair and extremely helpful if you are willing to do the work. If you try you have a good chance and earning a good grade...he is not just another lecture hall prof that will give you an easy A....that is not what college is about anyways...you are there to learn
Beginning of the semester is difficult but don't get discouraged. He is extremely helpful and nice as can be as long as you are willing to work. He explains everything with real life examples and if accounting means anything to you you will leave the class happy that you took him as your professor.
If you show up to class and pay attention, this class should be pretty easy. Just make sure you study a lot for each test.
Don't listen to anyone who says he is not that bad. It's a crazy lie. Hardest class you will take as a student if you stay with this professor. GUARANTEE!
AVOID HIM HE IS VERY INHUMAN
This man has ruined my semester in many ways. He is not a good teacher by any means, doesn't care about his students, and is the most boring man on earth. His class is THE HARDEST class of my college career. AVOID HIM! I won't have him as a prof again if i was paid too. HORRIBLE is an understatement
This man is the worst professor i have ever had. He does not care about his students and is a big back of suck! hands down the worst professor here at CMU!
You will learn a lot in class, however almost half the class is failing. The majority of your grade is based off of 3 exams which have 15 questions on each max. He never emails anyone back and does not use blackboard. If you care about your grade, do not take him.
This is a really hard class. There are only three exams, each of which have about 5 multiple choice and two essays...this means if you get two MC wrong= automatic B. Attendance mandatory and the book was the only way I learned anything because he was boring. Half my class was failing- if you care about your grade at all don't take this class.
Not only worst professor at CMU, but in academia period. He does not care about his students at all!! Man should retire now because he is that bad! SHAME ON HIM!
This guy is EXTREMELY helpful; answers all of my questions and clearly and concisely. As long as you aren't a total dipshit, you will do well in his class. Just pay attention and ask lots of questions!
Do not listen to the negative ratings for this professor. He is extremely helpful and will go out of his way to help students. Accounting classes in general are not easy, and this prof does a great job at helping students understand the material. His exams are fair and are somewhat difficult, but you will find that difficulty in all ACC classes.
What a nightmare, his class average is a 60% and he doesnt care one bit. no curves, stupid wording on tests, and HE HAS NO EMAIL. need to kick him out of CMU. AVOID AT ALL COST
Professor Neurath is a great professor, but his exams are very tough. He gives strong examples in class and is very helpful in helping you learn the material. He gives you points for asking questions and highly encourages it. Exams and quizzes are impossible to study for though.
Hes a good teacher if you want to be an accountant. He teaches you more than you really need to know if you are any other student. His exams are hard, and he doesn't use black board so you dont know your grade unless you ask. Accounting in general sucks, and he drills it in you. Take at own risk!
Professor Neurath is a great teacher. If you go to class, pay attention, and do the homework then you will be fine. There are no surprises on the exams - everything has been talked about in class.
Avoid at all costs. Does not post grades or use email... Not helpful. Very arrogant, assumes everyone is going to be an accountant.
STAY AWAY!!! no email, little office hours, no help
Great guy, HORRIBLE professor though. I would highly recommend you stay away from this class, although he is very willing to help students out, his exams are close to impossible. Take at your own risk.
Half the class dropped after the first exam. Doesn't curve even though most other acc teachers do. Boring monotone voice. Do not take him.
The class was hard but honestly he was great teacher and used real examples through the semester. If you go to his visit hours he helps you even more including the project. I ended up with a C (I have 2.7current gpa). Great guy to talk to as well. Exams were hard but just study.
No office hours, no email, no help, no sympathy for students who are close to passing, no extra credit, purposely does not give out email so students don't bug him, cant track your grade, avoid at all costs if you still can, I was 2% away from passing, had to fine his email through CMU and only gave me my final score after class was done.
I actually loved Neurath. His class is hard and he tells you on the first day that many people will fail. That made me work harder though. He knew everyone's name and is a really nice guy when you get to know him. Go to SI sessions! They help a lot. He let me turn in a project late to his office hours and works with you if you ask for help
My best professor at CMU this semester. Definitely read the book starting day 1, ask questions if you're confused(get points for this), and do the homework. Difficult subject, but definitely a great teacher to have for it! BOOK IS A MUST! I highly recommended this professor!
The guy was a great prof in my opinion. He was crystal clear on everything and was easily accessible. If you go to class and study you should be good but his exams are pretty hard. He is also a really fair professor. My only complaint is that he does not curve at all and it seems like most other ACC profs do.
This class is SO hard. He teaches as if you already know the material and then moves on to the next thing. He doesn't post anything on blackboard and doesn't even give you an email to contact him. The exams are hard and you need to study a lot to do well. I am going to end up retaking this class because had trouble in it. He can be loved or hated.
The class is certainly not easy, but Professor Neurath is very enthusiastic about the subject. His exams are quite difficult and require a lot of studying, as does the class in general. He gives many examples but moves very quickly through the material.
Nice guy but not a good professor at all. The subject isnt the eaisest but he weighs your learning from the book. Is not very clear, and quiz/exams are multiple choice and have nothing to do with any of the homework. I studied and went to SI every week and recieved a C
Avoid him. He believes college students should teach themselves and that the professor is there just to grade your work. He doesn't teach anything in class, it's all on your own
He's a good professor. He's very clear and is always willing to take questions. Simply by preparing for class and paying attention you should be able to get at least a B.
Professor Neurath was really helpful and kind the whole semester - he seems like he really wants his students to do well. The material is tough but he does a great job of explaining everything. He takes attendanceparticipation points which help your grade in the end. He doesn't activate his Blackboard at all, so keep track of your own grade.
He is condescending and talks down to his students. The tests are impossible and he doesn't use email or black board. Office hours are inconvenient and he doesn't encourage you to come. Teaching pace is way too fast and he teaches it like you already know the subject. AVOID THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS. 12 your class will drop the rest will fail.
Worst teacher I have ever had at CMU. Cares more about his tax job than students. Expects you to already know what he is talking about and knows about taxes. Barely any office hours. Doesn't use email. Only grades 4 exams and 2 projects. Takes attendance every class and marks grade down every class you miss. TERRIBLE DO NOT TAKE!
I wouldn't expect anything different for an undergraduate accounting class. Focused on teaching us the material that matters and removing material that wouldn't benefit us. Assigns homework but doesn't grade it. The homework is really helpful and practical. He will get touchy if he notices his class isn't doing it, though.
By far worst class and worst professor I have ever had at central. Very condescending and rude. Do not take him save yourself.
I had to retake the this course because I did so terrible the first time. However, I realized that it's only because you really have to get used to his style. Tests were sometimes worded in such a way that answers could go other ways, and one time a quiz answer contradicted the textbook's definition. He simply just said the textbook was wrong... ?!
The Professor believes every student is as knowledgeable as he is and holds you to those standards. Lectures consist of only going over the homework you did the night before and clarifying a few things. Tests are hard and not really like the homework whatsoever so I would encourage that you attending SI sessions every week.
He isn't as hard as people on here are making him out to be. Attendance and participation are factored into your grade. Bring textbook to class! Gives you participation points for asking questions. Exams and quizzes were fair. Go to the SI sessions if you need extra help. He made it very easy to pass if you put in the effort.
Overall easy class. Do the homework and participate and you should be fine. Tests are multiple choice and short answer.
He gives clear expectations and if you just listen to him and ask questions he'll make sure you pass with an A. He's a really cool guy
Horrible horrible professor. I had a 3.7 gpa before entering this class and he gives no graded homework, and no extra credit. You get 4-5 quiz's the entire semester and 4 exams. The last 2 exams are within 8 days of each other. If you fail the first exam, you might as well withdraw from the class because you're screwed. Doesnt use blackboard either
In James' class expect to show up and take notes everyday. All the test questions are from the lecture and notes. Not too many notes to take though. He's very understandable and goes at a reasonable pace. Would definitely take him for accounting classes. He won't teach you anything you don't need to know for future courses.
He knows what he is talking about. You aren't necessarily required to come to class but he takes attendance and if you do not come you will feel like you fall very far behind. He has office hours and encourages you come if help is needed. He enjoys the subject. Would recommend taking this course with him.
This class has its own study sessions, I ADVISE YOU GO. I HAVE GONE TO EVERY STUDY SESSION AND IM BARELY ABOVE A 75 percent. if you feel like working hard, take this class. Neurath is a pretty cool dude but the class is hard as crap. If you have to take this for your major, then good luck
Neurath is able to breathe some life into a very cut-and-dry subject. Lectures, though certainly not riveting, are mixed in with a touch of his personality and that goes a long way sometimes. Quizzes and exams are tough but fair. He is a very nice man and was accessible outside class. Do your reading!!
If you're not an Accouting major, I wouldn't take it with Neurath. He goes through the material quickly and if you skip a day you might as well just read the entire book on your own. Examples are out of the textbook and the homework is NOT graded. Hard class if you're not organized. I would suggest taking this class with Credit/No Credit.
He is a good teacher as long as you pay attention and follow along. You have to show up to class and you have to participate in order to get a good grade in the class. He really does know what he is talking about and he is a very nice guy. Try hard in the class and you will do fine.
Very hard class and homework is not graded. A lot of time outside of class is needed to be put into understanding the material well. Miss a class you might as well find someone who can teach you the material otherwise you will fall behind quickly and get lost.
This is one of those accounting classes that you have to study your butt off and the class averages on tests are 65%. But, Neurath is a very nice guy and has a lot of experiences from his current job that he can use to relate the material to real life. I really respect him and enjoyed learning about tax, even though my GPA will be taking a hit.
This class is very hard. Neurath automatically assumes you're just as knowledgeable as he is at accounting. Our SI quit and he didn't get a new one, just saying come to his office hours if you have problems. The problem is if you ask him for help, he doesn't actually answer your question or give you anything to work with. Horrible professor.
The class (ACC 201) is straight forward, assuming you come every day. The content builds on itself. If you miss a class you have to make sure you do over the notes but he will do problems in the near future and if you can do those you will pass with b+ or higher.
Wasn't always clear, quizzes were somewhat challenging, grades based on participation. He answered questions pretty well. Not a bad professor. Ended up curving the grade. If there's an SI, go to the sessions.
