Wicked Prof! absolutely wicked, first year psyc was so amazing i was never bored once all year and he was so funny with his quirky comments and was always wickedwith giving extra help if we needed, the end of the year we gave him a standing O wicked class

Great teacher! I actually really enjoyed attending his lectures! He does everything on power point so the lecture material is really easy to follow. Plays music at break and tells jokes...what more could you ask for!?!?!

Easy to mock, with his suit and labcoat (and the rumours of his love life) but amazing lecturer. He seems great with large classes, nice person. Takes examples from real life. Cool being taught by expert in field, advisor CIHR, commands est. $1.5m grants

i took the course online and found it rather boring and basically restated the text book without explaination. i stopped listening to the lectures because reading the chapters in the book was more entertaining.

His slides are excellent, his sense of humour rocks, he's personable and smart and very clear on what he has to say. He knows what he's talking about and makes lectures fun with examples and stories and jokes. He's an awesome prof, and easy to listen to.

This guy started my love for psychology. He's funny, entertaining, informative, and he cares about first year students. Not many profs would hold a gala lunch for the top 10 students in their first year class of over 1000, let alone care about them.

its funny how he has social anxiety...if you look carefuly, take away his slides and he's that little fat kid that didn't know what to say when the teacher picked him, and hid behind his mothers leg.

He is ok as a lecturer, but as a person i think he is a prick. He looks down his nose at students, and like to make fun of the people who pays his wages. He tries though, with corny jokes about cheeses and dump trucks, but i found his course a bit dull.

I definately relate to the great lecturer, horrible man. He is the reason a lot of people take psychology in the upper years, because he makes the lectures interesting. But I guess he feels that he then should take credit for making psychology popular. So arrogant, a real jerk.

Love going to his lectures, it's a very short two hours. Exams are straight forward if you've review the assigned readings and lecture notes. Very smart guy.

James Parker is one of my favourite profs at Trent. He is very enthusiastic and passionate about what he teaches, something you will benefit from in his classes. Although his tests and assignments are tough he wants to see you succeed! Overall, a fabulous professor.

Professor Parker is a great teacherlecturer. He really wants to see his students succeed. He will meet with you if need be, and will give you extensive feedback. His midterms and exams are short and long answer (not multiple choice like most psych classes) however, he is a very fair in his grading, offering point marks simply for trying. Great guy

Seems to love what he does. Explains things well but those three hours can really drag on. Content was fairly easy to grasp, but he goes off on tangents in his slide, explaining a lot of stuff that is not covered in textbook, and wanting us to be prepared to answer questions from textbook and lecture on exam.
