Mr. Paton is a great instructor for Intro 2 Psych. I'm not sure how he is in any other psych classes, as his field is ministry and not psychology. His class is fairly simple, and as long as you listen when he gives you the answers to the blanks on the study guides you should pass the tests.

Mr. Paton is an easy teacher who wants you to pass. He provides study guides to prepare you for the tests and is open to suggestions that will help you learn best. His main concern is about your walk with Chirst. He is also sincere and open about his relationship with God and his family.

Fun, Easy going. You learn, but its easy. I def. recommend

I had him for two classes and I loved it. The classes will take up the full time limit but he is such a great teacher. He has a true passion for his students to understand and learn. And he is a great man of God who puts God into the lesson.

One of the best professors at SEU!, he is a 50-year man who's P.O.V is just like a college students, you will get an A as long as you study the study guides, and do all of the assigned papers, his psych. of adj. class is very fun and is one you should definitely take and you will learn a lot through all of the fun activities that you do.

Mr Paton is awesome. He teaches with clarity and occasionally humor. The work isn't really heavy, but don't expect to coast through without writing a few papers. If you're deciding between Psych of Adjust or Intro to Psych, take intro. I had to take both and Intro was basically the same class without the 1-page assessments. Great Prof!

I love Mr. Paton. He's such a good professor. He's very clear when he teaches. He's very passionate about this subject. He offers so much extra credit. He cares about every student and is very helpful if you need help. There are many assignments in this class but you just have to keep up with him. He's not very strict on grading. Taking him again!

Greatest psych professor at SEU. Loves what he is teaching and class discussions are interesting. Those who don't get an A or B aren't trying. There are online quizzes that you can use the book for but are do all at one time so keep up with it. If you study for his tests you can't fail.

Great professor!! really passionate about what he teaches. his exams are challenging. his essay questions are long. You really have to study for his exams. the online quizzes are open book and pretty easy. And you have a paper due for each section of development covered. (infancy, early childhood..)Opportunities for extra credit are available.

Easily one of the nicest men on SEU's campus. He is INCREDIBLE- very knowledgeable, loves his students and the Lord! If you make flashcards of the quiz questions and memorize them- you will finish the exam in 15 minutes and will likely have received an A. He makes everyone feel welcome- even in a lecture with 100 students. COOL DUDE!!

Dr. Paton is really nice and funny. Heres a hint: he loves participation. If you participate in either his examples or questions, you will without a doubt get EC. PARTICIPATE. If you are a 1st semester freshman, take him for intro to psych because he himself says he takes it really easy on freshmen with the assignments. His exams are easy.

Fantastic professor! Lectures and material are always interesting and he tells you exactly what is on the test. Offers extra credit everyday just for answering questions. Wish I could take him again!

This professor gives out more extra credit than any professor I know. His assignments are super easy and he grades very leniently. All the tests were based right off of his power points. As long as you either study, listen in class, review the slides, or do the work required, you will be good to go! Take him! You won't regret it!

Easy going but you still learn a lot!

It's an easy A. All the quizzes are online and so are the exams. Most of the questions are on quizlet so you don't do much work .

I had Paton for Intro to Psych and it was one of my favorite classes. He's super approachable and encourages everyone to participate. Extra credit is thrown right and left in every class, so even though he doesn't really require participation, you should definitely take advantage of it. Plus he's hilarious. By far one of the best professors

His class was super easy. I took him a couple semesters ago and as long as you paid attention in class, you would do okay.

Paton is a great professor and really does care about his students. attendance matters, but he accepts emails letting him know why youre out. also, if you participate he gives out candy/extra credit

He does take attendance but it is not hard to have someone sign you in. You will write 1 full paper. A few half page papers. Online quizzes outside of class but you have the answers. And mostly tests but he gives the answers straight to you so it is easy to study for. No reason to not have an A. He gives lots of extra credit if you speak up.

Mr. Paton is the best professor I've ever taken. He is funny and keeps the class engaged and uses powerpoint presentations. He has his students will in a study guide from the powerpoint he uses which is exactly what is on his exams. He inspired me to change my minor to psychology!

Professor Paton was easily my favorite professors at SEU for my first semester. He made class very entertaining and I looked forward to going. His tests were very easy if you studied the study guide and pay attention in class.

Paton is such an amazing professor. He's very hands-on with his students. Show up to class, participate, and you can earn extra credit just by doing that. He makes classes very fun and exciting. Each lesson has Study guides which are the same questions to the quizzes for those lessons, and then the same questions on the test. Study those questions!

Professor Paton is amazing, not only as a professor but as a person. His love for Jesus and for students really shines through, and he really wants you to succeed. Take as many classes as you can with him!

Amazing professor and highly recommend!! He connects what you are learning with demonstrations and examples that are shown in front of the class (some are DIY), which can be very helpful. Videos shown relate to what you are learning. Gives out extra credit if you speak up in class or participate in his demonstrations. He is super funny?

10/10. highly recommend. he tries to make class interesting, and is pretty good at it. class isnt very difficult, tests are open note and taken online, there is one online quiz each week. overall prof paton is great and if you have to take intro to psych, take it with him

The opportunity to take Paton is one of the best at seu. I would say though to not worry about the textbook too much, I really only used it for the 2 essays to look up a few words, but I didnt use it for anything else. The quizzes and tests are all online. Paton is a hilarious professor who makes an effort to know his students. Definitely worth it

Such a great professor. There is a research paper at the end which can take some time but you have assignments that build up to it to make it easier.

Lots of examples, interesting and fun lecturer, Paton's class is worth the time. 10 question quiz at the end of each chapter, two papers, and four exams, but all are open study guide.

Mr. Paton is an amazing professor and an even better man, he takes time not only to teach you about Psyc but why it is cool and important. He is a very forgiving professor and ALL HIS EXAMS ARE OPEN NOTE even the final! I wasn't super stoked about psyc but I loved the class just because he taught it. Take it and you won't regret it!

Professor Paton is one of the best professors I have ever had. I had him for 2 psych classes and I would definitely keep taking classes with him. He is extremely fair and does not make the class harder than it needs to be. You don't have busy work in his classes and he is overall a great guy!

I loved taking Prof Paton. You can tell he loves what he teaches and cares for his students. We have bi-weekly open-book quizzes and open-book exams. Only one presentation at the end of the semester. Highly recommend

Such a great professor! Hilarious in class, keeps students' attention. Brought treats occasionally for students to have in class (doughnuts, fruit, etc.). Very personable professor and constantly gives extra credit opportunities for participation in class. Three tests, including midterm and final for main grades, curves the exams which helps!
