I am taking this class online asynchronous, and I am pleasantly surprised with how it is going. It was set up in modules and due every two weeks. The content is kind of difficult, but as long as you do the work, you should be fine. Peirce is really good with responding to emails and answering questions. Overall a great prof for a hard class.

Nice guy, awful teacher. If you have a question on how to do something, don't expect an answer. Clearly, teaching isn't his highest priority, example he didn't give a finals test review because he was.. busy. For a class of that difficulty, he only makes it harder. His lectures are hard to listen to, and you will be confused. Very time-consuming.

Took this class asynchronous so I don't really know the guy. His lectures are fairly straight forward, but the content is difficult. His class is broken up into two week modules for each unit with online webwork, discussion, video assignment, group project, and a quiz. Lots of annoying but manageable work and the projects are difficult.

The class was online asynchronous so I never really met the guy, but the course was set up to have modules with all the work due every 2 weeks. Allowed for some flexibility so you didn't have to do it every day, but be careful not to get too far behind because it's a lot to have to catch up on. I though exams were fair and assignments graded fairly

He's such a great guy and was helpful especially with my class being asynchronous. I would sit in his office hours and work on homework while asking questions. I don't like math but MTH265 applied it to real world situations which made it a little more interesting.

Dr. Peirce is great professor. He is such an overall nice guy. He has office hours in the math tutoring center of the library which I definitely recommend going to. His expectations for content on quizzes and exams are very clear prior to test day. He also goes over problems in the homework that people struggled with at the start of every day.TAKE!

Dr. Peirce was a great professor. There are no tests or finals in this class. Instead you work with a small group on 6 case studies and 5 applications and then a solo 10 point concept check every Thursday. There are quite a few homework assignments, but he is always available to help outside of class or during his office hours.

You can tell he really wants his students to succeed and is accessible outside of class to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend taking his class.

In MTH 160 you do Application Problems and Case Studies that you solve in groups. Along with those, there are Concept Checks every week to reinforce your knowledge of a subject, which I thought was very manageable. The weekly homework assignments were also very reasonable and truly helped me better understand the concepts we were learning.

I loved Prof. Peirce. All you need is the Coursepack from the bookstore and don't skip class. WeBWorK 2x/wk, Case Study/Vid Assignment 1x/wk, and a quiz 1x/wk. Seems super busy but was extremely manageable and I finally loved a math class for once. He's really nice, a bit awkward and can go quick sometimes. Easy A, if you give the bare minimum.
