AMAZING teacher. Anyone who gets Dr.Polo is going to have a great time in class. He is by far the best professor I have ever had. I had him for the winter course, and he made 3 hours a day 5 days a week seem like a breeze. He's awesome...!!!!

Doctor Polo is fabulous. You will not find a more fair or dedicated professor anywhere at any time. Take him any chance you get and make sure you take good notes in class.

out of all my professors at nassau he was by far the best one. he is really easy, really nice and really funny. he motivated you to make someting of yourself. if you see him for any classes definately take the class. he's just an overall great professor. all teachers should teach like him

Yeh Polo Boy is a top geezer. Bit cheeky but will forgive that, he's funny and lively this guy could teach hungarian cabinet making history class and make it in intresting. Take this professor he's a sound as a pound.

He is an extraordiornary prof. He grabs your attention and never lets it go, if you ever have to or want to take a sociology course he's "The Man".A down to earth prof. that understand that life is different for everyone of his students, and will work to help you get through his class. Oh and by the way he's hot;) lol:)

EXCELLENT Professor! He made each class tolerable and interesting. Very knowledgable and passionate about his work. I started his class thinking "oh no" and ended it saying "oh man" because it was such an experience. I have really grown to value my education through his lectures. If you want a good professor, take his class.

I HAVE TAKEN A SOCIOLOGY CLASS BEFORE AND FOUND IT VERY UNINTERESTING, HE MAKES THE CLASS INTERESTING AND FUN. HE CARES ABOUT HIS STUDENTS AND EXPLAINS THE INFORMATION IN A WAY TO MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND AND RETAIN THE KNOWLEDGE. A MUST TAKE PROFFESOR

Dr. Polo is by far one of the greatest professors I've had. He was meant to be a teacher, he loves his students and they all love him. He has a way of grabbing your attention and its very easy to learn the material. I would suggest everyone take a class with him.

I had prof. Polo this semester and he is a very good teacher and probaly the best teacher that i've had. He's has a great sense of humor, and loves what he teaches, and teaches well. I can actually say i really learned something and liked as well. The class had a unique chemistry. He just rocks and i'm pretty sure he knows it. thanks for everything

You'll have to earn your grade but Dr. Polo will do everything in his power -- apart from spoon-feeding you -- to help you get an A! Pay attention, READ READ READ the chapters he assigns. Exams will directly draw from text. Don't blow it! :)

Honestly the best professor I have had yet, he is a deep down great guy and a great professor, as long as you do the reading you should do fine on the tests, he goes over the reading in class and has discussions, but beyond that he's super friendly and know a lot about just about everything haha. Great person, great professor! Loved his class.

One of the nicest professors ive ever encountered. A genuinely good person and I love his style of teaching. I took a 2 half hour class and he tells stories and keeps the class interested. Pay attention, write down definitions and study and you will pass this class. I would recommend him to anyone!

He's a great professor & amazing person. Anyone who says otherwise is too lazy to do the work. Don't expect putting in effort for a D getting an A. He's human just like us and is very approachable. Lectures are long but he keeps it interesting funny & relatable. I would take him again. Assignments are straightforward & easy. Study & you'll do great

I'm actually upset this class is over. I had Polo over the summer and really really enjoyed it. He is a great professor and really gets you engaged in his lectures. He is very fare and pretty much lays out everything he expects from his students from the beginning. Keep up with reading and you can get an easy A. Plus 2 extra credit assignments

Just took his summer class, honestly he made it so enjoyable when I was dreading summer school. He talks a lot but is very engaging, it's never boring. He's funny, approachable and understanding. I was intimidated at first and then realized he was a sweetheart. Many opportunities for extra credit, you have to put in effort but it was well worth it

I normally don't rate professors but I had to give Polo a great rating!! His lectures are very engaging but makes the course simple to understand. If he sees you make an effort and work hard he will do his best to assure you pass.. Kind of looks like Billy Joel (prob laughing as he reads this) overall he is the man take his class!

I'm now a professor because he gave me inspiration. I started college after four years in the Navy! He was unreal back in 1996 and I owe it all to him. I've also been teaching first grade on Long Island during the day. I owe my success to him! I know I took him a long time ago, but I consider him my mentor.

Polo is an engaging professor who makes sociology an accessible topic to all his students. The lectures are sometimes a bit long but he makes it funny and doable. He's really down to earth and will help you out however he can, and his tests are extremely fair if you pay attention and study your notes. Would take him again if given the opportunity.

I had this professor for a summer sociology class and he made it really enjoyable. Nobody ever wants to go to a summer class but he made it enjoyable and interesting to come to class every day and I learned a lot. You wanna have the book because he goes over it alot in class together. Would definitely take this class again.

He made me WANT to learn more and even do some research on my own time for my own personal reasons of wanting to understand certain things. Dr. Polo is a great professor who really takes the time to help his students. He helped and inspired me to work harder. He gave me extremely helpful advice after my first test result. He pushed me to work harder, which I did and I began to get much better grades!

Dr. Polo is one of the best professors I've ever had, he is well respected, he's hilarious, he knows how to interact with his students, he makes everyday conversations into lectures, he makes everything relatable to his students, he's a very intelligent, caring man, as long as you read the chapters assigned and pay attention in class you'll pass.

Although I got a C in Dr. Polo's course, he gave chances for students to increase their grades. Unfortunately, I didn't utilize the potential I had, but we all learn right? A great teacher! Cared about the whole class and made sure we all knew the work unless you dont say something, he was always kind enough to go back on a topic if you didnt understand it and get ready for Crash Course, my class had 10 minutes of watching a youtuber explain what we were going to learn so we knew what it will be. Highly recommend

I took Dr. Polo's class over the summer so it was a short, crammed session yet despite that he made sociology fascinating. His lectures were extremely helpful and he is a genuinely nice guy so that made it very enjoyable. If you get the opportunity to take a class with him I 100% recommend you take it, you won't regret it.

Dr. Polo was a great professor. He's extremely understanding, organized, looks out for students, and really wants his students to learn rather than sit through a course for nothing.
