Obviously, like any other course, you have to attend class and do your homework which is on MyMathLab. You don't even need the book to be honest. As long as you do what you are supposed to do, and pay attention in class, you will get an A on the exams and pass. He also gives a one question quiz after a lecture. You work on them with people too.
Awesome teacher. Makes the class fun and does lots of really easy group quizes. Tries to get you to think and incorporates real life situations into math. Also really easy tests as long as you show your work or write down at least something he tries to give you credit
Dr. Price made my calculus class enjoyable. His "NPR Fridays" were a fun end to a hard week. He was always willing to help and really interacted with us. He had a great sense of humor and was easy to talk to. I would definitely take him again if I had the chance.
Loved the class. It was a flipped course in which we had to watch videos before going to class. It was better because when you came to class you practiced what you had learned, and did the homework. If you are responsible and are interested I HIGHLY suggest this professor. Easy A if you try.
Great Professor, he cares about you if you show up to class. I went to his office about a question I had about a quiz. Then he kind of mentored me about my major and what to expect in the field I was going in for like an hour or two. He isn't even my mentor, really nice and is willing to help if he's not too busy. NO MYMATHLAB!!!
Dr. Price teaches SUPER quickly. During every class he talks like he's in a rush. He teaches something speedily and then you need a second to process, but by the time you understand it he's already taught the next topic. But the upside is, is that if you show your work on the test, you get all the points except 1, if you have an incorrect answer.
He is a great teacher he likes using a lot of analogies and tries to incorporate math in the real world. He takes teaches until the last second. His test are relatively easy if you do the reviews you will get an A. He takes attendance and tardies seriously so be there and be there on time. If you put effort there is no way you could fail.
Dr. Price is a good teacher, and I like the class. Just as long as you study, do all the homework, and participate, you will pass.
Honestly he really a cool teacher its just I did not like his teaching ways. All of his lecture came from YouTube videos. If you did not understand something he will tell you to ask your group member. Honestly if you sign up for his be prepared for different teaching style. .
Dr. Price is a good professor and he does care about his students. He's very passionate about Calculus, sometimes a little too passionate. The only issue was that this class was flipped. You watch all his lecture videos at home & take notes, then in class you do board problems in groups and short quizzes. I prefer traditional lecturing in Math.
Anybody tell you not to take this class is simply because they were lazy and were failing. A teacher doesn't get any more helpful than Dr. Price. We watch the lectures at home in videos he already made, n when you come to class he reviews the stuff before we work problems in grps. He's probably your best shot if u REALLY wanna learn calculus.
Cool teacher, helps you a lot if you're stuck is willing to meet up with you out of class and will help you. Has a lot of patience. its a flipped class so all the lectures are online on you tube, there is not textbook, but you're required to print out a workbook and notebook to take notes and do your'e homework on.
Flipped classroom. You have to watch the videos and and take notes before class. Homework is done as a group in class and gets collected every week. Overall, it's easy to learn and I would recommend this professor.
Very good math professor. His class does take some getting used to, but he explains everything very well and is very helpful outside of class. He makes Calculus enjoyable and doesn't use the textbook. The only reason why I didn't get an A was solely my fault, so you can make an A no problem if you pay attention. I wish he taught Calc 2 or Linear.
In my class he uses youtube videos for his lecture which you need to watch on your own time to pass. I'm honestly thankful for those since you can pause them and catch up.
Makes you watch Youtube videos. Doesn't lecture in class. Gives homework that he has you do in class with groups. He collects the homework day of exam. This means you don't know if you did it correct until after you have taken the test. Exams are much more difficult than assigned "homework". He might as well just be an online professor. Don't take.
Somewhat long YouTube videos and lots of homework. No mymathlab or textbook though. His class is difficult because it's a flipped class but if you study the homework, you will do fine on the exams.
He takes time to make sure the concepts are explained and then he solves sample problems. Students are required to work outside of class in order to fully grasp the materials
He's not a bad teacher, just not the teacher for me. He has favorites and partially ignores the students struggling in class. He goes off on tangents that start off about math then changes to a topic that has nothing to do with it. If you're bad at math then I definitely don't recommend him for 2200. Again, he's not bad, not for me.
I took this class for summer and i do not suggest him unless you've already taken calculus and you want a higher grade. I've seen some of the smartest students struggle and break down into tears when it come to his test. His lectures online are long, if your work is not done the way how he wants it he marks it wrong even though its right!
Great class! Dr. Price worked hard to teach us the basics of calculus. Definitely would take again.
For sure one of the most laid back professors. He's so understanding and you can get away with turning things in very late. The only homework he assigns is on MyMathLab but it's nothing difficult. My lowest grade on anything in his class was a 96. ALL you have to do is look over the notes he posts online. He's very NOT intimidating. Loved him.
Hands down the best math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are great, and he explains things in numerous ways that benefits different types of learners. Homework everyday online but not time consuming. Exams are straight forward, and he gives extra credit. I will be taking him again next semester.
He uses a lot of metaphors. Some make sense, most don't. Nevertheless, he is really a great teacher who will do everything he can to help you succeed.
Good things are that he teaches very well, and hes very nice and willing to help. If you work really hard, you will get an A or a B. The bad things is that his tests are very difficult, but he grades them generously. if you do all your work and study the exam reviews a lot until you understand them fully understand the material, you should be okay.
Now, he is a very energetic man & you can tell that he is passionate about what he does. But his teaching methods are not for every one. I prefer the traditional style of teaching, lecturing in class NOT watching videos outside of class and going over assignments in class. I need you to teach me the curriculum NOT my group.
Worst professor I've ever had. Gives you tons of homework online and expects you to come to class automatically knowing how to do it. Gives group quizzes, and if the group doesn't get it you all fail the quiz. Ignores students who may need more help than others. Frequently goes off topic. Don't take him if you are a hands on learner.
he is not really helpful, explain things the way only he understand, expect a lot from you, extremely hard grader, if you don't do in the way he wants even if you have the correct answer you not gonna get any credit, exams and group quizes are harder than what you have been practice on in the class.
Good guy. no lectures. watch videos before the start of next class. Videos are worthless. Group quizzes are hard!! no point in helping learn the material. He likes to put abstract problems problems on the exams. HEAVY IN TRIG, ALGEBRA, GEOMETRY!!! Final review classes before the final. Again useless in way to prepare for the final.
Awful teacher. Hes a great guy but a horrible professor. He runs through all the problems he gives. Test reviews are nothing like the test. In Class: 1+12 HW: 2X36-15 TEST: If johnny wakes up at 3pm than gets on a train to pluto calculate the mass of the air intake of the hamster wheel at his grandmothers house. Basically this is his class
Expects you to come into class and know everything. Review is nothing like the test. Take someone else for math
Hes a good guy, but his teaching is backwards. Lecture videos are online they dont really explain how to do the steps just runs through them. Bonus policy in class is useless doesn't help with grades. Review is nothing like test.
Tests are nothing like the study guides, HW is a joke because it shows crazy problems that arent even on the test. All in all a big waste of life. Taken someone else for math, even if there are no spots available avoid this class..
Great teacher! If you do the work and attend class, then you should have no problem passing
This was a great class! It was flipped, so we watched videos outside of class and worked on problems in class. The tests were hard, but we had reviews and Dr. Price worked really hard to prepare us. Overall, I would definitely recommend his class especially if you are serious about science and learning.
Dedicated teacher. Tough but fair. Willing to help outside of class and gives lots of chances to improve your grade. Must participate and must do homework. I learned many life lessons while in Dr Prices class. It changed my life.
His class was tough, but I definitely learned a lot. If you watch his videos and do the work, you should be fine. His exams are tough, but he gives a review and hints in class.
Nice teacher! He gives outlines for his lectures, covers homework in class, and gives group quizzes. His exams can be tough, but he will drop your lowest score if you do your homework and attend class. As long as you do the work, you will be fine. Two thumbs up for Dr. Price.
Great class overall! There was a lot of homework, but we went over most of it in class. He was always available to meet outside of class too.
Took him over the summer. The class is fast, but this has to do with the shortened semester. He give lecture handouts that help with the lectur Eand the reviews are a lot love me the exams. If you come to class and do the work, then you should have no problems. He will work with you outside of class too if you need help.
Dr. Price is so enthusiastic about math, he makes you feel enthusiastic. He practices the swap classroom method where you have to watch lecture videos, then practice the lecture in class. It didn't work for me, but I still felt Dr. Price cared for all his students. Great teacher.
Dr. Price really cares about his students, both in and out of class. The steps he shows in lectures are straight forward, and if you go back and use those same exact steps, the homework becomes a breeze. Ya, he uses online lectures, but theyre short and you can ask questions in class to clarify stuff. Overall, great professor!
great teacher, awesome lecture a lot of mymathlab mastering homework. 4 exams and group quizzes almost everyday.. so pick a good group!
Dr. Price is amazing I am terrible at math and he makes this class so easy. There's a group quiz almost every class so make sure you attend. Four exams and a final. He really cares about his students and goes over the material very well. He also has lecture videos on YouTube that you can always go back to for reference.
He is the nicest math teacher I have ever had. He loves teaching and makes the material easy to understand. I would definitely recommend this teacher.
4 tests, no surprise questions, everything has been seen in class and even one bonus question. Homework every night but can be turned in late and a quiz (sometimes group) at the end or beginning of class. Ability to text him and ask for help!!
he is really passionate about teaching math. like he would tell you the theory about math. he talk pretty fast and it was lowkey hard for me follow. homework is A MUST. ATTENDANCE IS A MUST because he give pop quizzes and participation grade. tests are not that hard but its all solving questions. No multiple choice.
This class is flipped in the sense that you complete the lectures at home and work through homework problems in class. Dr. Price is a great help as he takes you through the steps of completing each problem and he organizes the topics perfectly so that its easier to understand as the semester progresses. Very caring professor, highly recommended!
This is a flipped class, meaning you watch videos at home and fill in interactive notes, then do problems together in groups for the class period. Dr. Price was really good and I really understood the calculus by the end of the semester even with the compressed summer schedule. DON'T MISS CLASS THOUGH!! You miss a lot that way.
Dr. Price is an excellent professor. Math has always been difficult for me, and I was not looking forward to the struggles of calculus. However, Dr. Price made math so easy. He is extremely hands-on, helpful, caring, and very passionate about his job. I 100% recommend taking any of his courses. If I could have him as a prof again I would.
Dr. Price is amazing. I took AP calc in high school and didn't understand one bit but he made it seem so easy. He has his own textbook that you print out at home or an office supply store, which makes learning in his class more affordable. He creates a wonderful learning environment. I loved his class so much I decided to take calc 2... for fun.
I honestly don't understand how Dr. Price only has a 3.5 rating. He is legitimately the best math teacher I've ever had. I'd taken AP Calc before, but this is the first time I've fully understood and enjoyed calculus. I am currently at a different university taking Calc II and I still watch his video lectures because they are so easy to comprehend.
The majority of being in this class is listening to lectures where he makes many analogies that just confuse you more about what you are learning. One example, and no exaggeration, is making an analogy with quadratics and communism. Another example is him literally describing a math equation as friends dying in a war. Don't take unless needed.
His grading system is flawed, he is rather nit picky and will deduct points if small things are not done. For example, if each step does not have an equal sign in front of it, you will lose a point. This is the reason that I did not receive an A. Three points off because of the deductions. 4 tests worth 50% of grade, and each day is -0.15% of grade
If you enjoy math and need to take higher level math courses, then this is your man. Hes passionate about what he teaches and wants to make sure you do your part in learning as well. This means his classes are flipped. You watch videos, practice at home, and then come to class to review in groups. Again, this teaching style isnt for everyone.
Wow I honestly do not know why he doesnt have a 5 star rating. He is the best, most passionate professor Ive ever had. He is so amazing at teaching, he even makes his own free textbook that you work out of throughout class. He is extremely thorough in explaining the material. His class does have a lot of work but believe me, you wont regret it.
I love Dr. Price. I'm pretty bummed that his score on this site is much lower than what it should be. The reason why his score is so low is cause a lot of freshmen take his class, and aren't used to how grading in college works. His class is very interactive and takes care of homework in class. I wish I had more professors like him.
Dr Price worked hard to make the material accessible, which I appreciated because math is not my thing. He was helpful answering my questions and always doing reviews before exams. Id definitely take his course again.
The most favorite math teacher I have EVER had. If you're ever confused on something, just ask him-he'll explain it and you'll have a deeper understanding of the topic. He's a passionate teacher and it really shows. But don't think he'll ever end his lectures early lol! ("pop quizzes" are super easy, 1 question, and collaborative usually).
Dr. Price is a great professor, he keeps you engaged at all times. However he gives us so much information at one time that it's quite a lot. He also made us learn new material right before our final exam plus review from our other four exams. It was the worst final ever. He's a good teacher, but he's difficult and a bit overwhelming.
This professor is an extremely helpful & passionate teacher. He breaks everything down simply and teaches each unit as if youre a 7th grader, making everything easily comprehensible. Only cons would be theres a lot of homework assigned on MyMathLab (which you have to pay for), and every lecture is essential so if you skip one youd be confused.
He is the toughest professor I ever had. He made me lose all my interest in math. he will give you so much unnecessary stuff to do. On his exam, even if it's an online class, you still need to copy everything onto the paper and you will end up forgetting about timing. He reduced 20% of my work bc I got covid and submitted it late for just 1 day.
Professor Price is a great person who truly cares about his students and their success. He is encouraging and gives you the tools needed to succeed. I highly recommend him!!
Dr. Price is a very passionate teacher and it shows in his teaching! I agree with other reviewers-he won't end his lectures early, but you will learn in his class! Don't be afraid to ask questions-he will answer them and help deepen your understanding of the subject matter. I would take his classes again, he's the best math teacher I've EVER had!!
He is a great teacher! He has reasonable expectations and explains things well in lectures.
Dr. Price is a skilled lecturer who really cares about his students. I finally got concepts I had been struggling with, thanks to his help.
Dr. Price teaches Precalc step-by-step, and makes the content make sense. He gives study guides before every test, and sometimes he'll tell you the types of problems that will definitely be on the tests. He gives bonus questions on tests, and replaces lower test scores with a higher final exam score. Don't skip his class, and do your homework.
Flipped learning style; watch lecture videos at home, and complete your homework in class. Go over your hardest problems to study for the tests. Dr. Price makes Calculus make sense as long as you keep up with your work, and study. If you get stuck, ask him to help you in class. There is no textbook, just a workbook for your lectures & homework
As someone who was nervous about calculus, Dr. Price was a great professor. As long as you attend class, do your homework/lecture videos, and show him that you're putting effort into the class, you'll be fine. He genuinely cares about your learning experience and wants you to end the semester with a greater appreciation for math. Highly recommend.
Dr Price made calculus fun! Class is very interactive. The exams are challenging but if you pay attention to the lectures, do the homework, and actively participate in class you will know more than you think. I would recommend Dr Price to anyone who needs/wants to take calculus!
He is a little quirky but a good professor. He cares. You have to try hard to get a good grade and you have to do a lot of work outside of class. He has a flipped class so you watch the lecture before showing up to class and do group problems and homework in class. He has good feedback on tests and gives them back but they are difficult.
calc 2 is hard, but he is a solid choice for the class. for tests, study the homework and activities; all problems on tests are somewhat like them. kind of nitpicky and takes little points off for things like not having an equal sign, not labelling pictures, so be careful. do not fall behind and do and understand the homework completely for an A
He is the best math teacher I've ever had. If you're struggling with pre-cal or calculus, you should take this class. You're gonna find yourself enjoying math. Since this class is flipped learning, you should watch a lecture video before class. Homework is not hard if you fully watch videos and participate in class. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this class!!
Dr. Price has been my favorite math teacher so far. If you watch the lecture videos, participate actively with your group in class, and complete the homework then you are bound to pass. He offers extra credit and gives partial credit for wrong answers on tests. I am definitely sad he won't be teaching Calc 2!
This teacher is inappropriate, as he brings up uncomfortable personal matters to the class unprompted. He grades very harshly and inconsistently, giving some students different grades for identical answers. His teaching method is hard to follow for many students.
Loved taking this class with Dr. Price! His lectures were structured and he explains so everyone understands. He doesn't care about small mistakes when solving problems and gives a lot of partial credit. If you need extra help, he offers help sessions. Videos of all lectures, so if you miss you can watch them and still get participation points.
He has the best grading and assignments structures, everything is super clear and grades quickly. He gives review sheets for each exam and the exam contains exactly what is there. You can always go to his office for questions and answers emails. Great overall.
He's very picking about grading, I went to him for help, and recommended I study more as if I was not doing so. His tests are similar to the reviews he gives you and are very long. He knows a lot and is good but it feels like he expects you to know already how to do everything. He will give you homework every single day you have class. Overwhelming
He's a good teacher, but has a kind of weird way of grading. His feedback is not that clear. All lectures are uploaded online, but attendance is a grade sometimes. You can do test corrections, and he replaces your lowest test grade with the final. Pay attention in class and do the hw, youll be fine. If you put in the work youll get a good grade
Watch those lecture vids b4 every class. Attendance is mandatory, 4 Exams, 1 Final, hella HW. Be ready to use resources outside the class. Points out mistakes and helps you understand. Picking on grading but offers lot of bonus pts. Dr. P is mad wise; if he tells you something is important, you better write it that sht down! Wonderful man!
W proffesor. Dr. Price is an amazing person and really cares about his students. If you follow what he says and practice then you will succeed! He moves fast in class so be prepared to take fast notes. He uses Mathlab but doesn't like it. He strongly emphasizes groups and participation, great class if you wanna make friends.
Professor Price is extremely passionate abut the subjects he teaches. He regularly assigns homework online a few days a week, as well as assigning packets and paper work each week. He stated multiple times that he expects his students to spend a minimum of an hour and a half or more for each assignment. Also expect tests every two weeks.
There are FIVE exams including final. You must do the homework and show up to class, unless you already are good at math. He doesnt seem to care much about precalc. His exams can be pretty hard since theres a lot of materiel and study guides cover 80% of whats on the exam. Lecture heavy but I get 0 passion from them. If you try, you'll be okay.
Best math course I ever took in GGC. Thank you Prof Price!! I'll never forget to have fun with Math always!
he was my first math professor ever at ggc and he has set the bar really high for any other math professor i'll have. I really like how he explains math concepts, I genuinely enjoyed coming to his class. Additionally he always gives you a chance to make up any work and he is very easy to communicate with. he deserves a 5/5 honestly.
He is a really good professor, he has all his lecture video and review exam post on Youtube. It is easy for you to understand the lecture.
Teachers who are passionate about their respective subject are not exactly hard to come by, however, being able to transmit that towards their students is another thing. All of the lectures are online and require you to put in work outside of class to learn, however the "homework" itself can be done in class. One of GGC's best math teachers.
As long as you are willing to participate in class, watch the lectures, do your homework, and study, you will succeed in his class. If he sees you trying your best, he will help you and give you some extra credit/bonus points
The best math teacher I've ever had. Dr. Price breaks down complicated topics in a way that's very easy to understand. He also makes sure to go over the content multiple times before and exam and build on previous topics. His lecture style takes a few weeks to get used to, but once you do, you'll understand the content very thoroughly.
Probably my best teacher at GGC. Lectures are done at home with his YouTube channel and Class time is used to try HW problems in groups or to explain HW problems to the class. Very interactive. He sets group competitions for extra credit before the tests as a review. Very Fun. You are expected to memorize formulas for the test though.
One of the few professors I'd willingly upend my course schedule for just to get a chance to take their class. Excellent teaching style, homework is just the right amount of difficulty and length, he is accessible outside class, and gives good feedback on tests. Class time is for group work (lecture vids are for homework), so participation matters.
Great Professor! Calculus II is not an easy course with difficult content. However, Dr. Price does an excellent job of presenting it engagingly. The best way to learn it is by practicing problems, and he does so by using in-class time to practice for repetition through group work and board work. Overall, I would recommend taking his course.
Cons: Very tough grader on exams. Class mandatory, points taken off if late/leave early. HW daily, including weekends 5 tests & 1 Final Pros Lectures are online that are helpful for HW and test reviews Great at teaching difficult topics Friendly and approachable Overall helpful professor, lots of work, and high expectations of students
I have never had a math teacher who teaches with such passion every class of the semester. Furthermore, his way of teaching and the way he makes you learn his classes is so good that mathematics will be fun and less difficult, since he is a very accessible person to answer any question.
Great professor as he is very smart. He expects ALOT from students tho, so if your math is not strong, it will be hard. He is the type to make you do hard problems, so you can do "easy" ones after. Picky grader. Very condescending too. Lots of HW and lecture heavy. Maybe he is better in fall/spring, but summer was difficult w him. Find another prof
if you do not do your math the way he likes it and showed u, be prepared to not get credit on anything and fail. he is very picky. find someone else
Avoid taking his summer class unless you're retaking or already have a basic understanding. Learning from scratch with his teaching style is challenging. Despite getting correct answers, my homework was marked wrong because it "was not done his way" or "didn't follow his exact method". This completely eliminates outside help from tutors or videos.
Good professor, can clearly see he cares but his passion is ill spent. This is a mandatory class but he teaches it as if we are math majors, class is very difficult needlessly. Choose another professor
I had Professor Price for Calculus 2 and he is one of the best teachers I've ever had, his homework style is great with lots of videos on YouTube. This is a very difficult course but Professor price makes think easy to understand and is available for office hours. Take him if you actually need to learn the material.
His class was hard, but it was necessary for me. His class was immensely helpful for me to understand the concepts, so that I could understand derivatives, not just use them. Immensely important for me because of my major. If Calculus I is the highest math you need, find a different professor, but if you want deep understanding, he's fantastic.
His flipped learning style is the best. ALthough calc 2 is hard, harder than calc 3, he is the best math teacher I've ever had. Take him big bro
Dr Price is an amazing professor, very caring but a little difficult. he provides challenging problems but explains everything in simple terms and is ALWAYS available if you need help. There is active learning in class in groups, which helps a lot with learning. A lot of homework though but nothing crazy. He is also very understanding. RECOMMENDED!
Dr price is really great. I enjoyed his lectures, he is good at breaking down concepts to a way that makes sense when it's applied. Only thing I didn't like about his class was it felt like a lot of homework that was just a bit repetitive.
Dr.Price is a helpful teacher, you can do most of the homework in class if you understand it. If you aren't good at keeping up with homework, this might not be your class. Dr.Price is nice about late work (you won't get full credit). You will be working on whiteboards with a group. Don't be afraid to ask questions and you'll do fine!
Price will make you feel inadequate for asking questions, often saying, "That's what the directions say," without explaining what to actually do. I spent countless hours in the ALC due to the heavy workload. Also on day one, he claimed, "All professors write their own reviews… but I don't!" But if you look, all his reviews seem strange.
Prof. Price is very engaged and breaks down complex topics well. Lots of work, but worth it - his online lectures and Unstuck ai resources really helped me stay on top of the content.
CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSOR THESE RATINGS ARE FAKE. Homework every week and lecture videos ,EVERYTHING has to be done HIS way, you can get the answer right but if it's not his way he'll mark it WRONG. Study guided given but are NOTHING like the exams, he does give extra credit opportunity but if you have a busy schedule forget about it.
Calc is difficult, he makes certain things clear but you have to make sure you learn concepts the way he teaches them. Even if you get the question right he will count it wrong if not done the way he showed. Take home lectures are graded at the beginning of each class. "Homework" is started in class but never finished and is due each week.
Ill say it now, only take him if you love calculus and plan to pursue higher math. There's a lecture video before every class and homework due at the end of every week, if you slack off you will not have a good time. He would reference how you need the stuff you learn in CALC 2 and there was a lot to remember. Good professor, I just didn't keep up.
Absolutely not. most normal teachers would be ashamed of 80% failing each test but not prof price. he blames the students not him self. it can not always be the students. some professors enjoy failing students and giving hard tests/ he is one. do not do not do not take him.
nice but not a good professor
This class is structured where students engage in activities on the board while also looking at a lecture video beforehand. If you can, arrange this class with your easy classes or electives. Time is crucial when it comes to this class. Overall, engaging with both the professor and the course material is the best way to master with this class.
To put it simply, he is an amazing teacher. If I could, I would have him for every math class. He gave great lectures, he would give us work to do in pairs, so you can help each other. He lets you learn on your own, but when you need help, he will step in to point you in the right direction. 10/10.
This professor is amazing and I liked his passion when it came to teaching and he was even hilarious sometimes. The class is fast paced. This class gives a lot of homework so keep that in mind. The advantage is that exam reviews are given and the test tends to measure up to the difficulty of the review and homework. Exams are all written answer.
Do not believe the positive reviews and avoid his class. Tests are way harder and unnecessary.
His homework is difficult, and worth taking the time to learn. He grades homework a lot for rigorously than exams, he's fairly lenient on exam grading. Attend class as often as you can, meet up with him during office hours for extra help, and do the activities in class. Every point is earned, no exams were a surprise since we studied all problems.
Lots of unnecessary work. if you are not math major keep looking cus you will fail which is sad. Not a bad guy just not who you want to take a chance on.
Passing requires too much work and if you do not do it his way you fail anyway.
I enjoyed going to Dr. Price's classes. He does a flipped classroom style for Calc I so it's a bit different than other courses. He's caring and a good professor and gives lots of partial credit on exams.
He let you know exactly what he expects, and half of the semester is review from algebra. As the topics get harder, he starts teaching faster. It's hard to grasp onto the topics without much time to actually understand what's going on. He truly cares about his students, but sometimes he does start to lecture about doing good in school.
Lectures felt engaging and helped set a foundation to the whole semester, I felt like I learned so much and it really stuck with me cause of his teaching methods of little catch phrases or just ways to remember dumb formulas. It helped me a ton, would recommend
