Mr. Richey is a wonderful professor. He really cares about his students and their success in his classes. He has high expectations, but if you come to class, do the work, and participate, he will bend over backwards for you. He is very charming and witty and not bad to look at either!

Mr. Richey is the best English professor I ever had. He is firm, fair, and consistent but also a lot of fun. I would imagine all students would thoroughly enjoy his class unless they are lazy or slackers. Highly recommended!

HAHAHA! Mr. Richey is the most sarcastic person I've ever met, but in a funny way. He loves to talk about himself, but somehow his class was very enjoyable! I would definitely recommend him!

Richey is such a good teacher - I alwasy go on here and read about my professors before getting them - and I can honestly say, almost EVERYTHING is group work - I LOVE HIM! I hate world lit but he makes it awesome - if you can slide into his class before anyone else than u definately should! EASY A - A lot of group work-

Professor Richey was a great online instructor. He was willing to make himself available whenever possible to go over assignments. He responded to emails fairly quickly. He was very fair. An A is easily attainable with a little work. I would definitely take one of his classes again.

Mr.Richey ROCKS! His class was fun to go to. Easy grade if you come to class, read the stories assigned and participate. 1 paper to write and he gives you plenty of opportunity to make an A on it. I recommend him to ANYONE that wants to learn.

I had Mr Richey in 1301 and 1302. He is by far the best teacher I ever had. He is not easy, but he really cares about your success. He is a fair and great teacher, but be prepared to work hard.

professor richeys class was an easy A. clear and easy 500 word essay every two weeks. if you do homework it would be hard to fail.

Professor Richey was my favorite professor. He made himself available for extra help any time students needed, either by phone or in person. He always goes above and beyond what is expected. He was not easy, but if you have questions or need help, he’s there for you.

Professor Richey is a wonderful English teacher. I have had him for two courses and he is best English teacher I have ever had. He?s not easy, but he is fair and will help you if you have any questions. He returns your emails faster than any professor I have had. He even returns them on weekends and nights too.

I would be writing my paper the night before and still got an A in his online class!! I am just disappointed that for the Fall 08 semester he isn't teaching 1302 online!! I highly recommend him!! He actually responded to your questions in a timely manner unlike others!

I would not say this class was easy. With all of the reading and essays it was time consuming, but Mr. Richey is an awesome teacher if you want to learn. He was more than happy to set up a conference with me multiple times to work with me on my grammar problems. He is always there for the students if they take advantage of the opportunities .

I have taken professor Richey for two courses: one live and one online and I really learned a lot. Come to class, follow instructions, ask for help when you need help, and if you take him online, don?t procrastinate and you will do fine. He is the most entertaining, caring, and fair professor I have ever taken.

Mr. Richey is GREAT!!! He is funny, total smart butt, and very enjoyable! If you come to class, and particapte you will make an A! He keeps the class up beat and fun! He is VERY open minded, and see both sides of everything! GREAT TEACHER & FUN!!

I took 1301, 1302 and 2332 with him. he is an AMAZING PROF!!! His 1301 class is the easiest, as long as you arent a red neck hillbilly you will make atleast a B if not an A on each paper. TAKE HIM!! but you HAVE to come to class, its part of your grade.

I just finished Professor Richey's online English course and it was the best online course I have ever taken. He returns emails the same day and will work with you over the phone with any questions you have. He sets all of the assignment deadlines in advance at the first of the course so there are no surprises. Great professor, great person!

I'm taking Dr. Richey's 1301 class online now and it's the best online class I've taken so far. He will meet with you over the phone or in person if you need help or have questions. He even worked w/ me over the weekend since I couldn't meet during the week. The only way students don't succeed in his class is if they are lazy or don't care.

Took his online class this summer. It was fairly easy. If you don't procrastinate and keep up with the essays there's no reason why you can't make an A. The textbook is a must. Only downfall is he assigns alot of essays. Tests were easy. HIGHLY RECOMMENED.

I had Dr. Richey for both english 1301 and 1302. going to class is mandatory if you want to do good in this class, but he is very clear on what he wants you to do on all his assignments and is quite easy if you stay on top of things. He is pretty funny to it makes it fun to go to class. I loved him and i promise if you get him you will like him too

Mr. Richey is a great teacher. He remembers what it is like to be a student. English is not one of my favorite subjects but Dr. Richey has such a passion for it and it is contagious. If you will not be a slacker and do your work and attend class you will pass with a flash. Take his class to pass. He is well rounded and makes class a lot of fun.

Very nice and very helpful. He has very strict guildlines and grades off those. You can learn alot in his class. I took it online during the summer. He did give me a "B" when my scores deserved a "A".

I LOVED THIS TEACHER! He is one of the best teachers i ever had. As long as you follow all his directions there is no doubt you will make an A. He is very clear about what her wants all you have to do is do it. EASY A. I would take him anyday.

Dr. Richey is WONDERFUL! I wish he was teaching 1302 this fall I would take him again. Really clear in what he expects. Just do your work by the deadline and follow directions and you will get an A. I highly recommend him!

Very intelligent dude. Although he is repetitive, I learned a lot from him. Does not let you get a word in, will talk over you if you try. His motto and encouragement to all? Attendance and effort. I attended every class and got A's on every assignment but barely passed the class because his test are so dang heavily weighted. Sucks.

Dr. Richey is the most caring, smart, & funny professor I've ever had. The only way not to succeed in his class is to not show up or not do your work. If you have questions, he will work with you before or after class, days, nights,& even weekends. You will do well in his class unless you don't care or are lazy. Highly Recommended!

Love this guy. Took his online class and while it wasn't "easy", I knew exactly what was expected of me and when at all times. Highly recommend taking his online class. I have never seen another online class with such a good set up.

He is just awesome he is so nice and helpful he will give you examples of what he wants you to do all you have to do is follow the example exactly he is very picky with detailing. As long as you have the same formatting, spacing, bold, italic, and style you'll make an A all he worry about is if you followed his directions or not hes great

Richey is VERY nice and respectful. He is willing to help you pass his class. You must attend his class to catch up on every assignment! too much writing though but it's really easy! Just make sure to pay attention, do your assignment and turn em in on time!

I love Dr. Richey's teaching style & the way he does his class. The only way you don't pass is if you don't go to class or do the work. If you like to miss class a lot or take zeros, take another proff. Dr. Richey is very funny and kind. He does care about his students but you still have to put in the work and time.

Dr. Richey is awesome! I was out of school for several years and was nervous to go back. Pay attention to the assignment. Make sure you read EVERY word in the assignment because it must be done exactly how he wants it done!

If you do not like writing essays I suggest you find a different professor. He doesn't elaborate on grading, but isn't harsh. As long as you read the assignment, watch the video, and meet the length requirements it is super easy. The tests are incredible easy for this including your final. I recommend attending the orientation

Professor Richey is a great choice if you don't know who to pick! Even though I took the course online, he expresses himself and character through videos and comments. He is so nice and gives good feedback to your essays. You do write a lot of papers, but he gives you a lot of time to complete them. I've never made lower than an 85 on a paper.

A lot of writing, but, of course, it's English Composition and I like to write. Fair grader and gives feedback on all papers. It's important to follow MLA style!! Mr. Richey responds quickly and that's important for an online class. Lectures are through YouTube and not lengthy. I enjoyed this class.

Follow the instructions to the letter. He really wants you to succeed. So as long as you pay attention to the details of his instructions and follow them to the "T", you should have an easy A.

Dr. Richey is my favorite professor. He's won many teaching awards & I've had him for 3 classes. If you're lazy, have trouble following simple instructions, & like to procrastinate, do not take him. I took Dr. Richeys class after I heard a classmate give a speech/ award to Dr. Richey as her most inspirational teacher. I was in audience & knew I would like to have that same experience. Everything she said was correct, so it's easy to see why he's also head of the dept. If all teachers were like Dr. Richey the world would be a better place.

I took Dr. Richey's class last summer. I really enjoyed the class an working with him!!!! I wish all professors returned email as quickly as Dr. Richey. Any time I had a question or needed help, he was ALWAYS there for me. I learned so much in his class!!! He really seems to enjoy helping people.

I had Dr. Richey for literature online in the fall and he was wonderful! He replied to all of my emails immediately and will meet with you in his office or over the phone if you live off campus. He's very flexible on his conference times. The only way you won't pass if you are lazy or you don't get help when you have questions.

Ive had the pleasure of taking Dr. Richey for several courses and his grading is as clear as the detailed instructions he gives for each assignment. If you're confused, have questions or need more help, Dr. Richey is always in his office and will work with you by phone or in person at a moments notice. Highly recommended!

I wish all online classes were like Dr. Richey's. If you care about your grade and want to learn, Dr. Richey is your guy. He returned all my emails quickly and whenever I wanted to review my assignments he was always available. Just follow his instructions and get with him when you need help and you'll be fine.

Dr. Richey was great! He cares so much about his students. I took his online Tech Writing class over the summer and it was a breeze. Write your response memo's and other assignments exactly like he describes in the instructions and this class will be an easy A for you. Get the textbook; he wants you to write exactly like examples found in the book.

You must be extremely lazy to not do well in Dr. Richey's class. He's the easiest professor to reach if you have questions. He always returned my emails and calls quickly and is super friendly. Dr. Richey was one of the toughest professors Ive ever had, but without a doubt one of my favorites!! He has a beautiful attitude towards his students and sincerely wants to see you earn a good grade!! I learned so much from him. I would call him all the time just to see how my grade was lookin and he was so nice about it. 10/10

So I had Dr. Richey for technical writing and I can say that he was the most dedicated teacher I have had. He returned emails and phone calls almost immediately. If I needed help he was always there.

I panicked when I realized I was taking the department chair but let me tell you...I would take this prof all over again. An online class can be tough but if you read the book and follow the examples exactly and you will do fine. I only had to reach out for questions twice and he was quick to reply and very helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Richey.

Dr. Richey is a great professor. I had his class in a 5-week term. There was only 10 assignment. There is a how-to manual to write for the final test grade that is worth 20%. Dr. Richey was very responsive to phone calls and canvas messages. I would definitely take him again.

When taking online classes, it's important for the professor to return emails quickly. Dr. Richey is the best at this. He always answered my questions and got back to me fast. He is the most accessible and nicest professor I have ever had. He cares about his students and it shows.

I took this in a Maymester so it was fast paced. Dr. Richey is very meticulous on formatting. He grades harshly and is not very explanatory regarding what you did wrong. He however was very responsive.

Due to my work schedule I have to take online classes. I have taken Dr. Richey for several classes. He's AWESOME! Very helpful and friendly. He replied to my emails and questions the same day I sent them. He was always there if I needed anything. Dr. Richey has been my favorite college professor I have taken so far.
