Very easy going. His tests are simple, especially if you study. Nothing to sweat over. He gives lots of opportunities to bring your grade up. Definitely a must-take for students looking for an easy math credit.

In college algebra if you earn a 90 or above you dont have to take the final exam and for STA2023 there is no final exam, there's a project instead that you do with groups.For sta2023,dont buy the book you dont need it,there's No homework,& its confusing.

He's a good teacher yes, but by no means the best one I've ever had. He tries to explain everything so that everyone can understand (and that can confuse people who understand him right away), he tells you exactly what's on the test, but you are responsible for knowing the material. Overall, not a bad teacher for Statistics.

After failing College Algebra twice, I finally passed it... with an A! Great teacher. He teaches you the concept, then tests you on the same level that he taught it. Not like some teachers that teach you the basic stuff then put the hardest question they can find on the test. His mini-mesters are the best way to take an algebra class!

Took Roe for Algebra also, AMAZING professor. So helpful, you have to be really dumb to get lower than a B in this class. Or just really lazy. He uses a consistant teaching method, which more teachers should consider. Offers plenty of help before tests, and most of the time what you study is what is on the test.

Prof. Roe is a good instr. Everything you read here is all true! However, the only grades you will have are test grades and a couple of group projects. No other grades are figured in to help balance out a bad test grade or 2. If you don't do well on the tests, there's no cushion! He is always willing to stay late and go over things again with you.

He knows that most people don't like math, and teaches that way. I've always had a problem with statistics, but he taught in a way that made it as clear as it'll ever be, and was always available to answer questions. Quizzes are online and classes aren't nearly as boring as a math class could be. If you're dreading taking a math class, take this.

I took this as a hybrid class. I struggle with math that requires a lot of equations. Mr. Roe is a great teacher if you understand how he thinks. Great professor. Even though I had him online he still did a great job adressing any questions quickly. Stay on track, ask questions and his class is fine.

He is great but beware pf the homework don't leave ot until last minute. You might want to watch his calculator tutorial in the beginning as well as all of his power point online lectures. Professor Roe gives notes and videos on each chapter for review. The material is sorta difficult but as long as you memorize formulas and keep up with your work, you will pass the class. The videos are extremely helpful. I bombed a quiz online and thought for sure I would do the same on the test. Nope. Received a 100 on my proctored exam.

Great professor. I am very bad at math and could not pass Calculus so I took this class and had better luck. He has every resource you need to pass on hand in the way of videos/calculator tutorials.. etc The practice tests are EXACT copies of the actual test!!! (numbers are different of course)

Great professor for anyone who wants to learn math in an "alternate way". He doesn't teach "by the book" like others, he is glad to show you short cuts that aren't confusing and will reexplain if requested. Class often gets out early and there isn't an obscene amount of homework but its still easy to learn and pass.

I had a lot of health issues while taking his class, and worked with me so I was able to make it through the semester without failing or having to withdraw (unlike my other class). But Professor Roe had excellent & informative lectures, and class notes you could print out and fill in as you listened to him teach.
