Professor Ryder is the best teacher teacher I have ever taken at Edison. We hardly did anything or had any experiment work. We made wine and he brought in cheese and grapes. His class will be your favorite! No doubt! Only 2 tests as well!

Professor Ryder is a funny guy and his class was pretty easy. To review for exams we split into teams and he quizzed each team, and whichever team won got extra credit points on the exam!

I had this professor for both Human Biology and Anatomy and Physiology 1. His classes are almost impossible to get into because they fill up so quickly. He made everything so easy and fun to learn and has a ton of helpful ways to remember the hard terms. I refuse to take A&P 2 with another professor.

One can sense his sincerity in teaching. I liked that he was a stickler for "classroom rules" (i.e. cellphones off, no side conversations). Professor Ryder is by far one of the best professor's I've ever had. I took Biology with him in my first year of college (last fall 2008-2009) and I received an "A". I love that he made the class "light" by telling jokes and getting everyone to laugh! I REFUSE to take any of the courses he teaches other than with him. Wonderful person and teacher.

He is great! he is extremely helpful. Even though he has power point slides he read them in class but doesn't really base his test on his power point. So make sure you read the chapters in the book. If you need help he really does extend a helping hand. I wish he thought Anatomy 1 but he doesn't =(

If you"re looking for an easy A, he isn't the professor for you. IF you are willing to put in the effort, you'll do great. Prof Ryder might go off on his tangents now and again, but somehow he's able to always tie it to the lesson. As far as his personality...he's a Jersey Boy -- so just deal with it!!!!

FABULOUS PROFESSOR! If you have to take Bio or A&PI/II at Edison, then take them from him and ONLY him! If you show him the respect that he deserves as a professor, then he will bend over backwards to help you with anything. Rules of thumb for his class: 1) DON'T USE A CELLPHONE IN CLASSROOM, either if he is there or not. 2) DONT COME LATE TO CLASS. Other than that, a great individual with a dry sarcastic humor which makes him super funny. He teaches in every day language. You will get the concept. Take him if you are lucky to get a seat in his class.

I love his class, very funny with his jokes beginning every class. He respects and cares his students. His class was very vivid with real talks of other doctors about the chapters you are covering. I learnt a lot from these talks. This is a hard class, but he made it easy for me and I got an A for his class, as well.

Even though A&P is a hard subject. He is extremely helpful and always gives you what is the "Meat & potato." AKA the most important thing you need to know for his exam. If you pay attention and attend class on time your set for an A or no less than a B.

Excellent Professor! He clearly explains the material, and tries to make class fun. He was not to difficult, but likes details and participation, and if the majority of the class gets a question wrong on the test, he will not count that question against you. Plays a family feud type game for review prior to the test. Def recommend taking him.

He wants you to succeed, and he makes changes accordingly like curving tests and cutting out chapters before the test to make the load a little more manageable. I received an A in this class. He truly cares about all his students and if you ask he will give you plenty of learning aids. I am no longer in his class and he still helps by giving me his notes to better help me in other classes. He does NOT give 66 power point slides for each lesson like other professors, instead he teaches the "meat & Potatoes"

He will require you to learn the material and expects you to participate but if you do these two things, you'll pass with flying colors. If you just want to come to class every other day and expect to pass, don't take his class but if you actually want to learn something, sign up. He is a "Student's Teacher first." Enough said.

Tests are fairly easy, based on the reviews he gives a week prior to each exam. This is anatomy, so you have to read and study, but he makes it as smooth as possible. If it wasn't easy enough, he also drops the lowest test grade. If you don't receive AT LEAST a B in his class, you were LAZY. 2 tests each exam date, a lecture and a practical. EASY A

A great professor, test on each chapter so basically a test every other week. Study his material that is given in the powerpoints. Sometimes in lectures he gives a couple of facts that aren't in power points that is needed for the test so come to class! He is super funny and will help to make sure everyone understands his material.

By far the BEST science teacher I have taken in college. He is very clear from the beginning what he expects and how things are going to go, he is willing to help you pass. Quizzes after each lecture exam on the most missed questions, grades lecture exam on a curve also gives you the practical slides before hand. LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT!
