AMAZING TEACHER! His big thing is attitude. Almost every answer has something to do with attitude. He will go out of his way to help anyone he is amazing. He understands that life situations happen and is willing to work with you. He is the most helpful professor I have ever had. Barely, if any, homework and tests are very straight forward.

Dr. Shippy is a very caring professor that love his students, his class is not difficult just attend class and listen one project, 2 major assignments and 2 exams. His lectures are fascinating because he uses relevant examples, his own experience as well as ample class participation. Very easy class, just do what he tells you and you'll make an A. Amazing professor! I was dreading this class but he made it worthwhile. He definitely inspires you to do your best in college. 2 group presentations that require your attendance throughout the semester. Even though the weekly assignments are on launchpad, you still need to show up. Mid-term and Exam are open-book which make it easier. Great class!

Class wise: There are 2-4 assignments every week online. There is a 6/7 paragraph essay. 2 partner powerpoints which really depends on who you are assigned to work with. Pretty easy tho. Honestly, if you just TURN IN your work you'll at least get a B. Prof wise: He has one of the best personalities and he wants you to pass! He'll advise you well!

Professor Shippy is by far one of the best instructors. His work load consists of 10 minute online work assignments( use your book for straightforward answers), one midterm exam, two group projects with a total presentation time of 15 minutes, and one final exam. He is very caring, responds quickly to emails, grades with quickness. Super easy class

Hands down, one of the best professor I got for my freshman year. There's always work, but at the end you'll be thankful. Not very hard though, easy class and easy tests. Talks a lot, but he's funny and very caring. Well respected. I would recommend him for EDUC, he won't let you fail, and you can't fail his class even if you try tbh. Give him a go

You need to do the homework through LaunchPad, which is so easy and takes you about 20 minutes or less for each chapter. You will have 2 group presents and he graded easily. The first one is about your assigned chapter, just need to do your work and get 100. The second one is taking notes of other groups' present, which is easy too. Take him!

He respects his students with affection, his group projects are easy and its fun working with him, he has a good grading criteria, his lectures are so amazing and gives us a chance to do lessons in front of the class to build up our confidence level for public speaking, very much caring about students and gives us extra credit for class activities.

Dr. Shippy is such an amazing instructor and he cares about his students so much. He provides examples for his assignments to help the students understand more about what he wants. He also uses time in class to answers students questions about his assignments.

Dr. Shippy is a good professor, however he gets off topic very quickly. The course is extremely easy; online hw, paper, 3 tests online. He provides guidelines for the paper which is extremely helpful, and allows you to use notes on every exam. This isn't a required course, but I do think it's helpful for college students.

Hes a great person and professor. Easy A as long as you do the busy work and show up. He taught like a high school teacher, and he would call you out if you werent paying attention. I could see this being good for some college students, but it was painfully hard for me to act like I was paying attention the whole class to material I already knew.

He is very nice, kind and supportive. I attended his class one day a week on Sunday, this class is no stress. And he is an easy grader too.

Sublime professor. Professor Shippy is an inspiration to this day. Took his lecture class in Spring 2020. Gives funny and motivational lectures. Few and easy assignments that he posts months ahead for you to do that can be completed from 5 to 20 mins max. I strongly recommend him. Don't wanna work? He'll just 'let you learn from your mistakes".

Professor Shippy is amazing, he treats all his students with care and compassion. All of his assignments are unlocked since the first day of class so you could get ahead, he repeats his instructions and also attaches student examples of the homework so you get an idea as to what he wants. Easy work, only one research paper but its easy.

Easy grader, gave second chances on important paper, and made the class fun. Also, I was on Friday late evening and we were usually dismissed early.

If I knew what other class I could take from him, I would take. His lecture is easy to understand, you will always get an A if you do your homework properly. You can ask him to reopen the exercises again. Tests for each chapter are available on the Quizlet.

Amazing professor! He's a lovely guy who cares about his students. He gives plenty of time for assignments and offers clear rubrics and examples. Two very simple group presentations. One major essay is explained paragraph by paragraph. Turn in assignments early, and he'll likely show you what you can correct to improve your grade if needed.

Take this class ASAP!! Dr. Shippy is a chill professor who cares a lot about his students. He's open to answering your questions and he's always more than willing to help you. Course work is easy and all at a steady pace-- there is no way you can fail. Dr. Shippy is one of my favorite professors!

He is one of the best professors. He teaches with all his heart and really cares about his students. I took online class, all of his assignments open from the beginning of the semester and you can do it early if you want to. His lectures are very organized. His assignments are easy too. Only one research essay, two tests and one final exam.

Left me preface this by saying: DO NOT take his class if you aren't ready to keep up with your work. Dr.Shippy is actually one of the few professors i've met who shows such care. He goes over things like a million times to make sure you got it. He does expect you to get your work done on time and is very very helpful.

I just completed his class and all I can say is that he's one of the best teachers if not the best teacher who I have studied under. He explains everything well and helps in relating to it so it makes learning much better. He replies to questions like Flash and overall is an amazing person. I would have loved to be in his class for more time.

There isn't that much homework and he also gives thoughtful reminders for when things are due. He explains the assignments in a manner to where its hard to misunderstand it. Dr. Shippy is so caring I had a good experience at hcc thanks to him I didn't have to meet up with angry birds but he is very nice his class is also easy very and had multiple group projects but they were easy as well just pay attention that's all overall would take him again!
