Professor Stover is such an awesome teacher, he goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the subject, sends reminder emails to inform you on upcoming tests and papers and he is easily accessible. It's great seeing a teacher that cares for the well being of his students. Honestly, I would take another of his classes for fun.

This was an online class, and I was very happy with how easy it was to keep track of all of the class assignments. He always emails you to remind you about upcoming assignments so you don't constantly have to check. Gives lots of feedback so you know how you're doing. I would definitely recommend Stover.

Professor Stover is one of the best of the professors I have ever come across. He seems to care a lot about student. If you read the assigned reading, and complete the quiz on time, I guarantee an A. If we happen to miss the quiz, there will many extra credit opportunities for us. He always send out reminder about the assignment, which is awesome.

Over all the class is very easy, you do quite a bit of reading but as long as you pace yourself and stay on track it's an easy A! I took this class online and it was easy. There are tests on the chapters either every week or every other week I can't remember but they are extremely easy, the textbook has all the answers and they are super easy to find. As long as you do the reading tests will be easy to do. There are plenty of opportunities to receive and A (extra credit, extra points for discussion boards). The big assignment will be to go to an art museum and write a paper about your experience. Professor Stover answers all concerns and keeps students on track with reminders of due dates.

His class is very well laid out and gives adequate time to read and complete his quizzes. I found his museum paper structure to be crystal cut and easy and he sent updating emails with the time and date that each quiz, the museum assignment and the final exam needed to be completed. I took this class during the Fall 2015 and I really enjoyed it. All you have to do is read the material, take the exams (8 + final), 1 essay(based on your visit to a museum) and you're sure to get an A. Tons of extra credit available. Very good teacher and replied to all my emails in a timely manner.

I took the maymester version of this class and it was great! There are 8 multiple choice exams, a final, and an essay (4 pages double spaced) where you write about your experience at an art museum. I was even able to find the book online too! He even reminds you if you have a quiz due that day. His expectations are very clear to follow, easy A!

I took this class online while having a full time internship job and another class at night. If you don't pass or get an A, it's your fault. I enjoyed his online summer 2 class. 8 exams (25 questions) none on the weekend, one final exam(50 questions) and one museum paper (NOT hard don't panic). Plenty of extra credit discussion boards but honestly if you do well on the exams you will not have to do the extra credit. I think the book is not needed if not art major.

I made a one-hundred originally but he gave me a zero. I was mad at myself more than anything. Luckily I was able to do some extra credit. Graded fairly.

It was an interesting, thought-provoking course to take. Pros: Easy online exams. Plenty of extra credit work. Enthusiastic and engaging. Prompt email responses. Cons: his lectures are 30% on art and 70% on his personal life. He tends to repeat himself daily, so you'll score the max points in Mini Art History if you take good, detailed notes!

IT IS SO HARD NOT TO GET AN A. I took ART1301 from him. Just be aware of due dates(he reminds you all due dates via mail). You must be a total dumb to fail his lecture. I couldn't figure out where to upload the group project and I emailed him asking for more specific instructions and that I was at work and wouldn't be home by the 9pm deadline. 100% recommend, took as a flex term class, all the answers are on quizlet. The exams are put out before hand so you can get them out the way WAY before they're due.

I took his class in May semester, and I didn't think i like art before. I did enjoy learning art and his grade's structure is not strict at all. Getting an A as well as gaining knowledge is possible. You can have up to 100pts(10% of the total grade) in extra credit. HE will give you very good feedbacks and let you resubmit your paper if necessary

Mr. Stover provides clear expectations up front. He is there to help and he isnt trying to make it tough on you. You have many opportunities to earn extra credit from discussion groups to extra credit papers. I would take class from Mr. Stover again.

I took this class on May term 2018, and it was fun. There are 8 exams, 1 final exam and 1 museum paper. The teacher send you reminders before exams and make them available ahead for you to manage your time better. There is a lot of extra credits if you do the discussion board. I made an A and I didn't suffer. I will strongly recommend Mr Stover.

I took Stover online. TBH all you need to do is have a textbook available b4 every online exam. He sends you reminders on ecampus before due dates & will send an email to update you on your progress. Do all these and write your museum paper for an easy A.

A simple basic arts appreciation class. 9 exams and a paper made the entire course. Read the chapters, get the exams done and go to a museum (I recommend the DART train) to collect pictures, write a paper. Youre done. The professor provided more than enough extra credit to make up for poor exam scores. Overall a simply course just some work.

What an awesome time I had in his course. He was extremely understanding and will honestly work with you. It was awesome having him as my art professor.

I took this class online because it was a requirement for my major and I got an A+ There is a museum visit required and an essay but i finished the course in 3 weeks. Discussion boards and other essays are EXTRA CREDIT but i did not need to do those luckily. Google helped me a lot js. ALL answers are in the book, if you read. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Professor was wonderful, he let you know what he expected and when and if you had any issues he was very good about replying back to emails and calling back if for some reason he wasn't able to take the call, absolutely great. Just do your readings take the exams, write your paper and get an A.

I took this class online during a summer 2 semester and it was fairly easy. Lots of tests, but if you have the book it's a breeze. It makes you very interested in different artwork and the background of art itself. I highly recommend this professor for a easy flex course.

I enjoyed this class and Professor Stover is great. He wants you to learn and enjoy his class. As long as you do the reading the exams and final are easy. There are deadlines but you can work ahead and complete the course in 3 weeks. An exam is posted every other weekday (MWF). 8 exams, one final exam, and one museum paper/assignment for grades. Professor Stover is great. He has clear expectations and it's easy to get the work done. He keeps you updated on things due in class and he is very easy to speak with. You have an essay that involves visiting a museum, which was fun. In the end, I'm glad I chose professor Stover for art.

It is an easy A class course. Instructions are so easy and clear. This course has just 8 exams, final exam and museum paper.

Professor Stover is AMAZING! I would recommend his class to anyone. His course consists of 8 quiz all 25 questions an hour long and it open book. There is a final exam of 50 questions with 2 hours to complete. Tests are all easy, there is one essay that MUST be completed in order to pass. Its fun and a great learning experince!

There was only 8 tests, one final exam, and the 4 page museum paper most art courses require anyways. I took him for an 8 wk online course and Im glad I did. Probably the easiest class Ive ever taken with DCCCD. The book is PDF & under $10 on Etsy so be sure to get it from there. Hes so friendly, helpful, & clear on instructions. 20/10 TAKE HIM!

I took an art class in second flex of summer 2018 and absolutely loved it. without reading the book you would be completely lost but putting in a little effort was very helpful.

I feel theres too many tests. You will need to read the book. (You may rent book at campus library for 2 hours to use on tests instead of buying it bc its pricey!) Only "hard" part was the essay as I did not know what he was expecting. A sample essay would be nice! However, he gave me an A for my essay. He responds quickly and overall a nice man!

Open discussion boards regarding art give students opportunities to see how and what others think about the material.

I took an online course so I can't say much about the man, but from his emails and discussion boards I can just feel the devotion he has for his students. He's always willing to help, and reminds you of this in almost every email/reminder. Strongly recommend him to anyone, whether they're interested in the arts or not.

This is the greatest class Ive ever had. I took this class in winter. Professors is so nice, he would quickly respond your email. Tests are from book. There is extra credit at the end semester. I would definitely recomend to take him.

Super nice teacher, responds to most emails within about an hour and is very lenient with you if for good reason. Reminds you the day before or morning of when homework, tests, or a paper is due. There was a lot of reading in the course, but if you stay on top of it or even work ahead (for the online class) then you will do just fine. He is very organized and professional, so he has everything spelled out for you to read in the syllabus. Likewise, follow the instructions clearly listed for each assignment and you will do just fine.

If you do poorly on tests he gives you the opportunity to write a few essays over some topics that you learned in the beginning of the book. I would recommend taking his class.

A very well structured course. No guessing what needs to be covered in the textbook and what assignment need to be done. If you don't like the Arts, then I supposed the class may be a little more difficult. If you have any interest in the subject at all, or have a deep interest, do you work on time, you will pass the class with an A.

I took Professor Stover on summer2 , I can just that he cares about his students, a lot of discussions board and a paper about your experience on a museum you have visited. Not though but need dedication to complete all the works on time. Highly recommended.

I expected this class to be boring, but I was wrong! It was really interesting and Mr. Stover is great. He makes you think and he is one of the few online professors I have had that actually respond to emails. He was also well prepared and made sure we knew what was expected and when things were due. It was overall a great experience.

Since it was a wintermester I had things due almost every single day just discussions, 25 question exams (easy 100 w book.) U do have to go to the museum to write the essay on it-got a 100. Taken as a wintermester. If you don't work or have a lot of free time you can honestly finish this class in a week. He opens all the exams so you can take them at your own pace whether that be one a day or take two in a day. Clear grading. There were 18 discussion boards and you can type them all in a day. All in all, this was a great class.

Amazing professor. If youre taking art for the first time I definitely recommend Stover. The hardest thing you do is write a museum paper, but he isnt super hard on grading it so its not bad. The tests are pretty easy, the discussions are easy, and if you fall behind there is a bunch of extra credit you can do. Seriously one of the best classes.

The online class was laid out in a very easily navigatable way, and the professor was usually accessible if needed. Mostly test based, but on a 1000 point scale, with discussion boards/forums and an optional final as well. Easy to earn an A in this class as long as you read the chapters, take notes, and participate in the discussion boards.

This class was pretty easy even for a two week class. I especially loved Mr. Stovers daily assignment reminders as this helped me assure I was on top of everything.

I took this class online, pretty straightforward and easy. A recommendation I wish I had is to not buy the Revel access code because you get a free trial. You can finish reading everything within that time and there's extensive powerpoints too so you don't need the textbook. I didn't use my access code at all. One easy paper, lots of easy tests.

Took the class for credit but Stover was responsive and very active in communicating deadlines with the class. Learned alot through the exams and discussion boards. Highly recommend.

The quizzes are based on the textbook, so if you read the textbook the quiz would be easy as well as the exams. There is at least one essay that you have to write and the professor gives a chance to make up for your grade with extra credit. There is also a discussion section but they are not too hard since it is mostly opinion-based.

ARTS 1301 was fairly easy! The only con I have is that work was due by 9:00PM instead of 11:59PM!

Great class to take if you need an Art credit but arent very knowledgeable in art. This class is self-paced if you want to get a lot of things done early but be cautious of due dates. The lessons are interactive and interesting, one main thing to this class is a 4 page paper on the art museum but you have months to do it ahead of time.

This is an amazing class! You must take it! This is a super easy A class. Everything was super straight forward and I actually really enjoyed it. There is an optional multiple-choice final that only helps your grade! You are set up for getting a good grade! All the tests are multiple-choice and the answers are straight out of the textbook.

This summer course was very manageable to do. You can work ahead and there is a lot of extra credit available. The professor gives great feedback, and allows you to rewrite the museum paper if you want a higher grade. He allows late work, except the paper. Make sure to turn it in on time; its mainly your opinion on the art pieces. Highly recommend.

Very easy grader, made art a breeze for someone who had no clue or interest in it.

Even though there was a lot of homework, it was very easy to get through. The information provided in the textbook was very interesting and informative. I really enjoyed this class and appreciated how I could do my homework anywhere, especially since i was very busy the last couple of weeks of class.

While taking Mr. Stover's art appreciation course, it seemed like everything went by fast and easily. I took a 5-week course, yet it wasn't in the way of my personal life.
