I really enjoyed Dr. Strickland's class. He's a great guy!

The assignments he gives seem pointless, but when you think about it he's only trying to teach you how to write and research better. You'll need to know this stuff in later years so listen up and try not to fall asleep. *wink*

Great class. Can write about whatever you want and he is very helpful. It's nice to have a class to relax in and free your mind and this is that class

AWESOME! he cares so much about the student. Very helpful and if you do the assignments on time ( even if they're not how he wants them ) you will get some credit. He gives you many oppertunities to revise. Faught to get into Col. Writ. II class!

At first I was a little uneasy because he doesn't give grades but rather gives check marks. As the class progressed, I realized I was learning a great deal. I really liked him and the class. The material was boring at times, but he made it interesting. Would take him again in a second!

He is a very nice person. I enjoyed the writing assignments that he assigned because he gave some flexibility in topic choices. He assigns three 350-word journals a week and there is a total of about four papers. If your not too good at writing papers, doing the journals on time will help your grade

James, is probably one of the best profs here. He's funny, relaxed, and trys to involve everyone in class. I feel that his papers are graded hard because no matter the length they are the same grade. 10 page paper = 33 pts. And I still get B's

Dr. Strickland is hilarious and he doesn't talk about his book unless we have questions about it so I don't know what the guy before me was talking about. Each student reads from a different author's book and teaches a class period, which makes class more interesting. Nice guy, good book. Unique final paper. Loves Bob Dylan.

Dr. Strickland is wonderful!! He is very nice and extremely helpful with any questions you may have..He really enjoys his job and is very friendly all the time, never seen him in a bad mood once! Involves everyone in class and grades very fairly!

He's a great professor.Most of the papers that we have to write about are interesting and he is a teacher that doesn't grade hard at all... you basically just have to show up for the class and do the exercises and you should have a good grade

I LOVE HIM!!! this was my favorite class (and i dont even like english). his papers were so fun to write and different. he is hilarious and never in a bad mood. this class always cheered me up. you have to take this professor. if you get him then you are lucky! you should get a good grade if you do the work.

Dr. Strickland is such a nice guy. College Writing II can't be more fun! He loves talking about music and going on YouTube in class. Make sure you come to class and do all of your assignments on time. The way he teaches the class makes sense. He does everything in a certain order which makes writing the papers easier.

Dr. Strickland is by far the nicest guy I have ever met. He is very understanding and he will really like you if you show up to class. If you come to class and pay attention you will get an A. I looked forward going to english everyday!!

I love Dr. S. He is really nice and really funny. His essays are simple and you can always ask for help if you need it. If you miss more than 5 classes he'll give you a NC unless he likes you. Super cool, fun old guy. Like a grandpa. Grades really nicely, not a lot of homework and once a week you are in the computer lab.

Dr. Strickland is a very intelligent man. He is also very kind and understanding. I learn a lot from his class and I definitely would recommend him to anybody. Do the work that is assigned, some of them are not difficult. He grades you on the content of the material and won't deduct points off for a little error. He is one of the best out there.

phenomenal. once a week, you have lab classes that are not mandatory. i never went to them and chose to sleep instead, but he posts everything online so that you can do the assignment later. they are quick and easy so you never miss anything. in class, he is funny and creative, plus there is no book. take him seriously, tho, and ur sure to get an A

Pretty easy class. Boring sometimes. You do work but it is easy. 2 papers are due every week, but you get used to it. Pretty easy to do. Grades the papers a little bit steep. Not a bad english teacher to take.

The class can be boring at times, but he can make it fun. Only have to write 3-4 papers the whole semester along with weekly blog entries which aren't bad. Essay topics are very broad allowing you to write about what you what. Great teacher & very intelligent.

This is a very easy class, all you have to do is show up and participate in remedial activities. Also you must write 3 essays a week but they are at your own level and only graded for completion. I learned nothing from this class but it was an easy A

Very easy course. Journals are given full credit just for proper submission. Not a very tough grader on essays. You watch a lot of interesting stuff. He's very nice, but I can't say that I learned a lot. Worth taking if you're not well-versed in film or are looking for an easy grade. I don't regret taking it.

Definitely take this class! Even though it was an 8:00 class, it kept me wide awake. He taught us different ways of writing and was very helpful.Tthere was no textbook. Answers any questions you have and posts everything online so you can see the powerpoints and your grade.

Very kind and interesting man. He teaches very different ways for writing. He grades very fair. But he gives you enough opportunities for practice that you shouldnt get below a B in his class. And an A is very easy to receive as long as you attend class and turn in your assignments on time and online.

He is a great guy and always interested in what we are doing not just in school but out of school too. We have writing assignments 3 times a week but they are not hard. We use the textbook maybe once a week not even.

Dr. Strickland is the best! At first, I thought this class was going to be a joke because all of our assignments were really easy, but as the semester went on I realized how much I was actually learning and how much it helped my writing. He's super nice and actually pretty funny. I would take one of his classes again in a heartbeat!

I hate any english class but Dr. Strickland is the best english teacher Ihave ever had.if you do your homework you will get an easy A. If you have a chance to take him do it.

Great guy. He's funny and you really learn a lot with easy. You write 3 papers a week that literally take maybe 10 min a piece. Starts every class with music and is an all around caring guy. Every once in a while gives an assignment and cancels Friday classes. Very lenient. First writing class that i have every enjoyed.

I loved this class. He's very down to earth with you. This class is easy. You write a few 500 word responses to things a week, you read a novel of your choice, and you do 2-3 papers. No tests. I honestly love going to this class everyday. He's a sweet man and if you can I recommend you take him!!

There are only 3 major papers and one portfolio in this class. It is very easy as long as you do the work. Dr. Strickland is very nice and easy to get along with. Just go to class and do the homework.

Dr. Strickland is an amazing professor. While everyone else is complaining about their college writing profs, you'll be feeling sorry for them because Strickland is so awesome. You have three assignments a week, but you basically get credit for just doing them. You write 3-4 papers and he doesn't grade them too hard. Also, he gives you an outline.

Strickland was my favorite professor and I am a Ed Major. You write 3 papers every week but they are painless! There is also 3 major assignments but they weren't too bad! the book is required but its only 14$ YOU WILL LEARN SOME PRETTY HELPFUL TIPS THAT WILL BENEFIT YOU!

Before taking Dr. Strickland, I was an awful writer and was basically clueless. After taking this class I learned in the most painless way how to write. I enjoyed getting up for his class every morning, and I hate getting up early. He made writing more interesting and had so many tricks to remember how to do certain things. Wrote very few paper

Best English teacher I've ever had. He's real down to earth about what we really need to know and not what English professionals want to shove down our throats. Lots of practical knowledge that will help my writing for the rest of my time in college and beyond. He's like the life hacker of English teachers.

Yes there is homework 6 out of 7 days of the week. But they are 500 word assignments that are graded on nothing but completion. When you get used to it you can get them out in about 20 minutes. Really great professor! I accidentally forgot to turn in a paper at the end that would have dropped me down to a B, but I emailed him and he accepted it

Okay, Strickland is a gem. I really enjoyed his class. He was a great professor who is caring and an easy grader if you follow his guidelines. There was many assignments, but easy to do. The textbook is cheap and used periodically. The big assignments were a collection of three EASY reports and a portfolio at the end. All in all, I would take again

His classes are based mostly on power points and him talking. Gives a lot of assignments, but if you stick to it you will be okay. You will read out of the textbook every week. Dr. Strickland is a really great professor and person. He gets to know every single one of his students, and genuinely cares about them all. Don't let the 4 writings a week deter you, you can get them done in under 15 minutes. Glad I took his class.

Don't be intimidated by the weekly writing assignments, they are quick and he grades them easily. He wants the students to like reading and writing again, not be overwhelmed by assignments. It's cool that he cares so much about his topic!

In this class you have a writing assignment everyday, either in class or outside. On the bright side, they are not difficult at all. You are also required to do writings on the weekends. There are three papers that are worth a significant amount of points, but aren't too difficult. The class is often boring, unfortunately.

Dr. Strickland is a great professor. Classes rarely go the full time. There are a lot of papers, major papers and tiny papers. The little essays are 500 words each and you write these approximately 3 times a week but they aren't bad at all. As long as you do your work, it is easy and you will get a good grade. I really enjoyed it.

Dr. Strickland is a really great guy. Such a sweet heart. However, his class is a lot of work. You have a writing assignment due literally due every day except for Sunday. If you forget about it on the weekends or if you have a busy week you get extremely behind tying to catch up.

I loved professor strickland. he is super unbias and just lectures with the facts. the textbook is online and you are assigned a chapter every week but they are super easy. there are only three tests. including the midterm and final. super easy material and non-boring lectures.
