Professor Tolbert is an excellent instructor. He has significant real world experience that adds significantly to the classroom experience. He provides ample opportunity to succeed based on your own learning style and actively works to ensure your understanding of the material. I've had him for two courses and hope to have him for a third.

Mr. Tolbert is very professional and helpful. He made sure what he was teaching and going to teach was clear and concise with the syllabus. If any changes were made he made the students aware in ample time. His class was fun and very informative. His attire was conducive and appropriate for the class he was instructing. He took a special interest in each student and made sure each student was being kept up with the assignments in each class. I would put him at the top of College Professors at Ivy Tech!

I had him in the summer of 2011.I didn't think I would do as well as I did, yet he helped each one of us by going over the information to our understanding and if one of us didn't, he took the time to go over it instead of moving forward. He was a very good instructor and was always very willing to help. Class was easy enough but he made it fun and relatable to real life situations. Used examples from his personal experiences and made class interesting.

The class sessions were fun. I expected a little more out of the class, then I realized its just BUSN 101, so its only the basics. He has a unique teaching style that keeps the students engaged. He tricks you into learning the concepts throug his Total Recall game at the end of class! lol

Pretty easy class and learned a lot from it! There were a few assignments that were not very clear so I would always ask extra questions to make sure you understand his expectations but other than that, he is great! Definitely will be an easy class but you will learn greatly from it

He is a great teacher. Has you work in groups for 2 projects a night and 1 take home writing assignment. I have taken 2 classes with him and really have enjoyed every minute. He is fun and very interactive!

Good amount of coursework and group work but fair grading and modified the assignments on multiple occasions to better fit schedules and time frames. Great feedback.

Class attendance is required to do group projects which is a large portion of the grade for the class.

Mr. Tolbert has thus far presented the course objective of this class clearly and has explained the requirements for projects effectively. He has shown flexibility on course work when needed and tries to interject humor to make the class more engaging.

This is an interesting class, learned a lot about the subject, but be prepared to work for your grade. Uses fun videos for teaching the subject and mixes up the class time so you are not hearing hours of lecturing.

He really makes the class interesting, and he use real life aids in order to help with the lesson.

Very nice guy, but class is not structured well. He gives us wayyy too much time to work on "group labs" that are really just one simple question. The assignments are crazy easy so if you want to boost GPA, feel free to take one of his classes.

Great professor! Lectures are a little bit boring, but what lecture is exciting? We watch a movie every week, which allows us to see how each chapter has terms that can relate to real life.

If you like movies then definitely take this principles of management class. 2/3 of the class every week was spent watching movies that mostly related to the chapter being discussed. He would lecture for around 45 min at the beginning of class, then watch the movie, then use the last 10 minutes for students to pick a term that applies to the movie.

Professor Tolbert is one of my favorite professors Ive ever had!He is very understanding he explains everything in every chapter without boring me, and without steering our attention away from the current chapter he is lecturing on. He does different things which provides a different experience for us. I loved how he let us watch movies.

You are required to email him your about paragraph and selfie. He puts it in a binder so that he knows your name and face quickly! He is really caring!

I liked how it was easy to navigate the online homework I wish the class was more interactive and not just come sit and listen. But in total the class is great!

During one of Tolbert's lectures, he goes over various topics throughout it and explains it all very well and will relate the topic to a real life scenario so that it makes more sense and is easier to understand. I took Business 101 with Professor Tolbert, even though this was an online course by the end of the semester I felt like I knew him. He was great at communication. He reached out to check on progress and offered help. He was extremely responsive, thats so important when taking an online course.

I am attending college after many years in the workforce so the adjustment has been a little overwhelming. With my age and years out of school having an understanding professor was very important. Communication is key to Mr. Tolbert. If I explained my issues he was very willing to help me get to where I needed to be. He is good.
