He's a pretty good teacher, has a passion for the subject. No tests! You write 3 papers. He can be a tough grader on his papers, though. (I've never made under a B on a paper and received a C+ on one in his class). Show up to class, take notes, you should be fine. He's super nice.

Vincent is a really quirky guy - funny, down-to-earth, real. He's definitely in love with the subject and clearly has a passion for teaching pre-modern history. I was supposed to drop his class for a major course, but opted to take it anyways because of how great of a professor/lecturer he was. 3 papers, that's it. (:

Dr. Vincent is a great lecturer and teacher and fairly grades the papers. My only complaint is that I got mixed feelings from him. He is usually very nice in person but when I emailed him about things he was very short and rude. Other than that it's an easy course and is interesting.

Really nice guy. Passionate about what he teaches, knows the information like the back of his hand which is great. There are only 3 papers, no tests = an easy class. The only thing is he has such a soft voice it'll put you to sleep sometimes like a kid listening to storytime. If you like loud and boisterous, think about taking another teacher.

Take notes and you will have everything you need to write an A+ paper. Requires some thought though.

Professor James Vincent wants to get you as involved with the class as possible, even though history can be kind of boring. He is a very funny, caring man. He makes the material very accessible and wants you to succeed. Your final grade is based upon essays, but if you went to class, read little of the book, and supplements you will do great!
