He is very enthusiastic and encourages class participation, but sometimes doesn't discourage people who participate a little too much. Gives a lot of non-textbook reading which is good as the book is very dull. A good guy overall but class could have a bit more emphasis on marketing and less on management.

Great prof. Hillarious guy, made the dull marketing management topic a little more interesting. Lots of reading material that is covered on exams, but if you read it you'll do fine. More focused on management than marketing.

Best professor I ever had in my life. I dont think he will teach again in baruch, but if he does - take him at all costs! Not only is he fun, energetic, and interesting, he is also an easy grader. I dont know anyone who did not get an A. Only thing is that he takes things personally, but thats because he cares. So do not even think of cheating

What a clown. Can be fun and easy-going, but grades are too subjective. Exams are a joke, and seem easy being T/F q's, but if you don't think in his mindset, you're screwed. He is enthusiastic and keeps the class entertained. The work load is manageable. Don't be late handing assignments in because he won't accept it. Midterm and final were both 100 question mc, but it's not hard. Textbook wasn't used for class, but you will have to know it for the exams. He gives out questions too. Do not take his class if you're not able to commit at least 3 hr a day for his material. He gives A LOT of WSJ articles to read, outside articles to summarize, textbook, 2 books, case studies, and of course, the movie presentation, which has to be top notch to get an A. Did I mention 100 questions on both midterm and the final?

Hands down one of the best professors at Baruch, he is very caring, nice and funny. His classes consist of case studies, homeworks, group projects and interactive engagement exercises with real world examples. Easy A as long as you cooperate. I love this professor and hope others have the ability to take him as well. 10/10 a real gift.

Prof Walsh is the best professor I have had at Baruch. The man teaches about life as well as management. Doesnt read slides to you like a robot - like every other Professor. If he taught 100 courses I would take them all.

Amazing professor. Walsh teaches using past managerial experiences. Furthermore, he makes class interactive and practical while being fun unlike other classes where professors just read off the slides. You would definitely learn a lot from him.

We read WSJ articles more than we read the textbooks. In fact, you only need to read the textbook if you get called on to summarize 2-3 assigned pages. I've learned more about his exploits around the world than anything Marketing related. Blackboard is barely utilized, and the 3hr lecture itself is mostly filler.
