Honestly, he's one of the best teachers that I've had in a long time. He's young and pretty cool. Definitely takes his time to explain anything that the class doesn't understand by literally dumbing it down. My mathlab is required, but it's not difficult. Do the assignments and you'll be fine. You get an unlimited amt of attempts anyways.

He is very good at explaining things in a way that you understand it. He is good at responding to e-mails very fast. He is so funny. The only downside is that there is my math lab. But the test are online and you get three attempts, so it's your own fault if you don't get an A.

Seriously, the easiest teacher I have ever taken in my entire life. If you plan on using math in your career, he may not be the best choice. If you are planning to just fly by math like myself, take him, easy A+! Seriously. Curves the class like his jobs depends on it! Took for interim. algebra. I was able to easily 4.0. Homework is all online and does take some time. Tests were online as well (therefore open note). Lecture is boring, because of the content. I would highly recommend. Textbook not necessary but you need the access code. Also attendance was not necessary.

The test questions were pulled straight from the book, word for word and we knew what questions ahead of time. Corrections can be turned in to get half of the missed points back. The textbook was rarely used, only to get the test questions. Prof Wenson has a weird sense of humor and the lectures are kind of dry, but this is math. Overall an east A

Professor Wenson has a unique style of teaching in that he changes it every semester. I took him for calc 1 and it's been fairly easy, however, I can not recomend him for the simple fact that if your plan on taking any higher math you will struggle in the future. He is a good teacher if you're looking for an easy A.

Professor Wenson is really good at explaining and going over problems slowly. He makes sure that everyone understands his lectures. He is very easy to be reached at all times and responds very quickly when in need. Also, he makes it very clear about what you need to know for the tests. I would definitely recommend taking him for any math courses!

He's one of the best professor. He's really funny. His test are not really hard as long as you study. he gives a lot of extra credit. attending will be count as an extra credit. there's extra credit as well for finishing the lab 100%. He doesn't take all points off if you get the problem wrong on test. HE IS JUST AWESOME.

Good teacher, makes you work for it tho. Taking him again for pre-calc 2. Accessible outside of class, make sure you do mymathlab homework to reinforce lectures and give you a better overall grade in the class. Simple grading system, 5 tests that make up a good portion of your grade. Lots of extra credit available. would take again. Nice guy

Really good guy. He definitely is the best math teacher Ive had in a long time. Gives extra credit and treats his students like adults. Homework gets hard sometimes but pays off on the tests. I would take him for every math class if I could.

No complaints, he is very easy and explains everything very well. Only complaint is is monotone voice but overtime you adapt to it.

Had him for 3 classes and all of them are higher level math he is amazing , helpful, and very respectful. I took him for linear algebra and differential equations and both of them were first time for him to teaches it but he did an amazing job. He is by far my favorite math professor.

Wenson is a great professor really tries to make you understand material in stats. He will show you the hard way then say ok easy way and show us how to do it in a calculator

Tests were easy. Passing is guaranteed. If you need an A, you need to work just a little harder. NO REGRETS with this guy. He's kind,professional,and cares for students. I loved Professor Wenson. He kept the class very clear every week and was always willing to help. Since the class was online, he was willing to change your grade if you made a technological error while answering questions on tests or quizzes. He also gives you a lot of chances to bump your grade, definitely take him. He really wants you to do well.

Professor Wenson was an amazing instructor for this class. He had strong communication and stayed in touch with his students during the pandemic. All homework, quizzes, and exams are through Knewton Alta. The textbook was also free during the online course. As long as you take detailed notes and do the assignments weekly, you will succeed!

Wenson was a hands-off prof. We were expected to do the homework and tests at our own pace without weekly deadlines. If you are an independent student who likes to set their own schedule, this is good for you. No lectures, but you can ask him any questions through email, canvas, etc. Nice and stayed professional.

He is great. I was nervous for this class bc Im not the best at math but this prof makes it very easy to comprehend. His videos go with the homework and it's all simple. Did not take a lot of time up from me to watch videos + do hw. No due dates. TAKE HIM.

All online, everything is due on the last day of class, you control your own schedule. He makes videos on every single knewton alta assignment and more. He also recommends a schedule for you to follow to make the best use of your time and not to fall behind! I love it

So this class was EXTREMELY lenient. However, take it at your own risk because I waited the very last few days to finish the assignments (a semester's worth). He sent us messages every single day reminding us that everything was due at the end of the semester but I just got so busy with other class homework. Be sure to make time for this class.

I am taking prof. Wenson for differential equations and i could not have been happier! He explains the material to you as if it was your first math class. You will walk out of the class with the grade you desire and the knowledge you need. Hands down the best math professor in macomb. Truly an honor having him as a professor. Wish him the best.

All assignments are available on the first day and due on the last day. All homework is easily accessible on canvas. Wenson is an amazing teacher. Thoroughly explained every subject and told us what to expect on the exam the class before. He also has a youtube channel which explains every chapter of the book. If you're going to take math, take him.

This professor made me LOVE math. His class is constructed clearly, he explains all things that we need to learn, and his way of teaching is my favorite! I have dropped this class before on 1st day after seeing formula sheet, but now, I know almost every single formula and what each one means. I highly recommend taking MATH1340 with prof. Wenson.

I just finished taking MATH 1340 with professor Wenson, and he by far is one of my favorite professors. He really wants you to succeed and it shows. Professor Wenson is a great teacher. he spends lots of time going over every detail, problem, and question. The class is weighted heavily on hmk but you can check it to make sure you get 100% leading to an easy A. The exams are clear and laid out well I f you struggle in math take professor Swenson.

Graded mostly by homework, which is participation based and can be attempted as many times as needed. Amazing lectures if you really want that A and to learn it, but test reviews are easy enough and test questions are based on it.

Professor Wenson is decent to pretty good in terms of explaining concepts. 60% of the grade was homework, that's graded on completion! Knewton hw is long though, so beware. 30% of the grade was unit tests. 10% was final. The unit tests were super easy! He does review days before all exams letting you know exactly what will be on them. He's a must!

Very chill guy, as long as you listen to him in class and do the knewton homework. You cannot fail this class at all.

I'm terrible at math but he made this class really easy. Any questions you had he will help. Although there is a lot of homework, as long as you do your homework you will pass. Honestly such a great teacher, I never understood math but he the way he goes over notes is so helpful. He dumbs it down to a point where anyone could understand.Tests are simple. He provides a study guide a week before. You don't HAVE to go to class but obviously going helps. Do the homework, attend lecture and do the study guides. Easy A+

He is a true gentleman. The ZyBooks work is not very hard and his tests are even easier. He explains linear algebra so clearly and grades you on your knowledge on the process. Little picky things will not ruin your grade. Wenson is such a nice man and gives you constant reminders and feedback in Canvas inbox on your work and upcoming schedule.

Professor Wenson was super chill and made linear algebra easy for his students. Keep in mind the math part can be challenging but his exam structures made learning the chapter work super easy to follow, exactly what you need to know. I would recommend him fs!

The knewton gets annoying but overall his tests were pretty easy and simple he tells us what exactly will be on the test and how to do it

Professor Wenson truly cares about his students and sets us up for success. Lectures, although lengthy, are very informational. Tests mirror the OpenStax problems, and they're always fair. As long as you do the Knewton HW (which is all due at the end) and study for the exams, passing is guaranteed. Thank you for a great semester :)

I'll preface by saying this professor is an easy A. He provided sample tests with solutions that showed you exactly what you needed to know and study, the homework also covered more difficult topics then the tests so you'd always be prepared regardless. He uses zybooks for homework, which is cheaper then usual ones and unlimited retries.

4 total exams including the final exam. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but it helped coming to class a lot. He gives you a review before the exams which are almost exactly like the real one. Also very lenient on mistakes and grading. I am glad I had to have him I hope I can have Professor Wenson again.

This professor makes class pretty easy, the hw and exams are split 50/50 of your total grade. Extra credit opportunities on every assignment. He goes over exactly what will be on a exam the day before. He pulls practice problems from the book and slightly modifies them for the exam. Overall, if you put in basic effort you should pass with an A.

Professor Wenson is one of the best professor I had at Macomb Community College. His youtube videos about each sections were really helpful as he went through almost everything from that section. He always give a sample test before each actual tests. These sample tests really prepared you for the actual tests.

Amazing professor! He explains concepts clearly and has great handwriting, making learning easier. The grading is lenient, with manageable weekly online homework. Tests follow practice exams closely, making them easy to prepare for. He's also so sweet and kind to everyone. I never leave reviews, but he absolutely deserves one. Highly recommend!!

I thought this guy was ehh but then I took other classes and realized how much I took this guy for granted. He really does give you a bunch of leniancy.

There were no lectures with this course, but Mr. Wenson updated Canvas daily with weekly tasks. Online students must take an in-person midterm and final exam. There was no need to buy the math book-it's provided for free. Some topics do get tough, but staying on top of the work will help you succeed. Mr. Wenson was exceptional at teaching overall.

Really simple class. He gives small lectures on each subject but breezes through them and shows lots of examples. Kind of an awkward guy but he is funny. Just take simple notes and you'll do great. Also - only a couple assignments per week and they're accessible through canvas on any device.

Good math professor. Responds to emails quickly. Can be rude if you're disrespectful, but is fine otherwise. Lecture is him working through material on the board and explaining the formulas. About 2-3 hours of online homework (Knewton) a week, add another 3 hours if you're studying for one of the 4 quizzes. Never had any problems with him.

Professor Wenson is a fantastic professor for Calc 1. His lectures are straight to the point and he does plenty of examples. He provides very useful practice tests which also provides you extra credit on the exam. The only negative is that he had us use Knewton Alta which sometimes took hours to do the homework, but would prepare you for the test.

I really enjoyed taking Wenson's class. His teaching style is calm, focused, and subtly funny. While he isn't big on small talk, he responds well to the effort and energy students bring to class. His notes are clear and thorough, and they helped me succeed in the course, even though math is not my strong subject. I would definitely take him again.
