Decent teacher. dry,no personality. takes too long to grade tests.
extremly hard teacher, diffently don't reccomend him for you if your not good in math and/or is trying to keep at least a 2.0 GPA because he will fail you.
He is a nice guy but if math isnt your strong subject i would strongly recommend not taking him for this class.

When this teacher goes over work he covers multiple chapters in one class. Homework isn't mandatory, but do it because he doesn't explain work well. The tests are a total of 10 questions, and the review barely matches the test. Takes points off for the smallest things when showing work, for instance 7 points for not putting "=0". Not Recommended
even though he is head of the math dept, he is a horrible teacher and is not a teacher i recommend to ANYONE!
Mr.Williams is a strict teacher, being on time and no talking is mandatory. His teaching skills is up to par and if you do the homework and reviews you should be fine. Dont get on his bad side!
he is strict, not fun, boring!, doesn't give any second chances and bases grades on tests. so if you fail like 2 tests you pretty much fail the class. he sucks i wouldn't recommend taking his class.

I took him for MATH 0350 Intermediate Algebra, which quite obviously, is NOT for people who are good at math. If you do not test well, DO NOT take him! 70% of the grade comes from the tests which are only 10 questions long, and 30% from daily quizzes. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED!
He is very dry up, no emotion instructor. Very picky, hard and lonley.
This proffesor really doesn't help you that much in math all he does is pretty much explains it all and than when you ask some questions he always begins that he is wasting time on the last homework tht we have. He is a very usless teacher here and I would NEVER recommend this teacher he is just very horrible. You are luckily to fail this class.
Teacher that is very dry, goes about his business which is to JUST TEACH. Really does not help. Tests are really hard. Will move your seat for having little conversations. Teacher was just not for me. And his grading is unbelievable, grades the smallest things, took points off because i misspelled the title!!!
Reviews are right do not take him, dry, boring, grades late and very pickey. You have to take test on new subjects before old subjects are graded.
Couldn't stand this professor. He was not helpful at all. When you ask for help he doesn't help at all! Don't take him if you dont have too.
I had Mr.Williams. Initially, I thought he was nice. He works really slow, uses all the class time, and is willing to answer questions If you study his notes, you should be well. Great teacher.
Very Nice guy, takes the whole class time to teach. only thing I didnt like was we reviewed test with the school curriculum, but He makes up his own test. Which made some parts of the review worthless because some of his questions are not on the review. Pay attention to detail he marks off points for everything little thing.
He will not push you to finish the homework , but if you want to get a good grade, you better do it and he'll help you when you have questions. A test review is 100% similar to a real test in class. If you practice well on the test review, you sure will get A or B easily on test.

Work wise his class is not hard at all test are just like the review, but the way he grades makes it hard in a way. He is very picky in the way he grades, you MUST show ALL your work on each problem because he counts off if you don't and he takes forever to grade tests. But if you do the reviews and study them well, you will make an A in his class.
I love math. My experience in this class was my most negative experience in all of my education history. If you have a question with what he is explaining to you, he will just repeat the exact same explanation over and over instead of trying to explain it in a different way. At times it seemed his goal was to trip you up.
Step by steps with notes, making easy to understand. Testes are very easy when you do his review that he offer. Very helpful when ask about question because he would write out the problem and help you. He give points on test for showing works which help bump my grades :D
He's a very dry teacher but he gets what needs to be taught done. There is nothing on the test that you haven't learned. He is picky. He counts every single thing on the test so you have to show all work. He also takes forever to grade his tests. overall not a hard class because the review is exactly like the test except different numbers.
This teacher is amazing. If you struggle with math then this is the class to take! He explains every little detail and is very cut and dry. He does not mess around he knows what he is doing and he is amazing at teaching it to others. There were no quizzes, easy homework and 5 test. Tests were just like the review, repetition of problems will help!
If you made high B's or low A's in high school with Algebra/Pre-Cal, then you should pass his class just fine. If not, DON'T TAKE HIM! Extremely picky when it comes to grading, and can put you to sleep with his boring lectures,not really helpful either. Again, it depends on how well you're good at math. Do not take him if you're really bad at it.
Overall a nice person, but he is VERY dry when it comes to teaching. His grading is also OUTRAGEOUS! I can admit my mistakes, like not consistently going to class, but if you do then you'll be fine. The reviews are similar to the tests but homework is a MUST if you want to do well. I wouldn't recommend him, but he's not exactly awful either.
If you can take a different teacher do it his class is trash, he also grades to hard
he was meh and boring but it's easy grade as long as u do ur work.he explains things as it is which is rlly dry and unexciting . i dont rlly like his nitpicking habit with tests so pay attention when u do it to avoid losing points over tiny mistakes.had to buy Mymathlab to do homework.he's nice but if u dont like boring teacher then think twice

I got an An. However, A math teacher needs to know what math is. He doesn't. A good math teacher needs to know how to use the brain to calculate, he doesn't know. If you are GOOD at math, he is NOT for you. Because your fast calculation will hurt your grade, your mind, and your feeling. I would not recommend this guy.

Although the lessons were given well, there were not that many clear explanations. A lot of questioning because of a lack of understanding. If I needed help I had to use the Math Resource Center. Hard to find him in his off times.
By far the worst math teacher I have ever had. I love math, but I never thought I would hate it so much. No one is ever allow to leave class for anything (such as to blow ones nose) if you do he will send you threatening emails bout sending you to the chair of the math department. I would rate him in the negatives. FIND A DIFFERENT TEACHER
If you are not good at math I would highly recommend you not take his class. Very difficult to understand!!!!!! I failed the class, and have to retake it.
I took Mr. Williams for regular College Algebra. He was very unorganized and difficult. By the end of the second test he emailed me that I had no chance of passing the class. I do not recommend this teacher for anyone.
Unless you're a genius in math DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. he only provides three very short yet really hard and complex tests and then a final exam. he leaves you with veerrryy little margin for error in terms of grades so make every test counts or else your chances of passing will quickly become slim. very tough grader too on the tests too.
Overall great person and there to help but his test are horrible. Lectures are extremely boring and you will mostly likely do all of your learning on your own time. I dropped the class but if you take him I recommend doing the assigned homework and live in his office during his assigned hours for help and clarification
I love being in his class even though his lecture is very boring. He teaches math very slow, easy to follow and tests are hard.
No Quizzes or daily work.. Test only and grades super strict! If you want an easy grade than this is not the professor. Goes over lectures steady without a break. You pretty much have enough time to just write what he's saying. & teach yourself on the homework. He does allow you to exempt the final, though if you're average is passing by exam 4
Do the homework and reviews and you will pass. I didn't even have to take the final due to high test scores. Test reviews are a lot like the test.

Nice older guy. His lectures are really, really boring; but if you can stay awake, he goes over all the material methodically and you have a good understanding of what you need to do. The homework is all from the book, no online code. He collects it all every Tues. and gives a quiz almost every Thurs. Get in the rhythm of things and you'll do fine.
He told us he was trying out a new grading system. He didn't take up the homework and really only looked at the tests and the notes.
Professor Williams is a good professor. He can teach well. The only complaint I have is his rudeness. He will email you constantly about being one minute late. He's a great teacher but just really annoying and rude. Other than that I dropped his class because of his constant emails threatening to drop me
4 Tests and a final. Tests are not multiple choice and no formulas are provided. You're expected to remember formulas and graphs. If the problem is not worked out the way he wants then the question is wrong even if you get the correct answer. He only uses the book no my math lab. Wouldn't recommend unless you're really good at math.
Hes a good teacher, his lectures are very clear. The homework is on your own because he only grades your tests and exams, if you do them, you will pass, otherwise, you wont unless youre good at math. Everything is great except that hes very strict about class time, if you are 5 minutes late or more, then youre marked late.
Babies you through the learning process but when it comes time for the test, he threw you into World War with no weapons. Do not bother visiting him during office hours, all he cares about is lunch time. Too much homework to cover, and yet when you do, none of the questions are on the test. Takes a strong foundation to pass, and review. #NoTestDrop

He did a really good job teaching each chapter and makes it easy to understand. The homework and tests branch off smoothly. He doesn't tell you exactly how to do it but gives you enough so you can figure it out. The test reviews are a big help if you take this class make sure to use them. If you can answer the questions without notes, you will Pass
This class is really simple. Take classes, homework, test. The test was just 5 times included Final Exam. The toughest part was the homework.
Honestly if you have the choice, DONT take him. Lecture material is so slow and isnt well related to test material. Hes so slow to teach chapters and babies you like he thinks your stupid. Feels like a high school course. YOU CANT be late and are not allowed to use the restroom. Homework isnt mandatory, better off learning from a book than him
His class is really boring because he's so slow. But it's easy. Everything he teaches is on the test. No trick question. He tries his best when someone doesn't understand something too. But he doesn't allow you to go to the restroom during his class.
He is so boring. He doesnt spend enough time practicing and just jumps into the next lesson right after we finish. The only grades in the grade book are tests. There are no quizzes and there is optional homework. The tests are hard and he does no extra credit. He is BORING!
He's not that bad besides the fact that if you leave the room for a second or are a minute late he sends out a really rude email. His lectures can get boring but for the most part they're clear and easy to understand, however, he talks to us like we're 5 year olds, not very professional. Took his class during the COVID-19 pandemic constantly felt as if I was being harassed by his constant emails. Although, he treats everyone who asks questions like theyre stupid. I had to miss the first two classes due to being in the hospital, which I emailed him, and attached doctors note he still marked me unexcused absent. Worst math teacher.
I took his class for fall semester and lets just say that my GPA declined. He grade you based off of homework online and 4 test throughout the semester. He jumps from lesson to lesson and doesn't leave time to soak it in. Even if that was not bad enough, ALL of his quizzes are written response so they get extremely hard.
Literally help yourself while you can. DO NOT take this professor. He is a walking red flag. First off his test are 70% of your grade and are written response questions. If that was not dumb enough, he does not give test back to grow from mistakes. Offers NO EXTRA CREDIT. And his lectures are back to back without time to sink in properly.
He can explain pretty well but interaction with him and students is almost zero it's pretty much just teaching; I remember someone tried to get to know him better and he sent them an email saying not to disrupt the class agaiin!!!???? No extra credit AT ALL
This man is BORING. Idk how I stayed awake. He lectures so monotone and goes VERY slow. He is very thorough but because he goes so slow at the beginning, everything is crammed towards the end of the sem. Tests are like 70% and there's so much hw which is only 10%. Professor got switched last minute so I had to pay $70 for the online hw :/
Homework: time consuming, only 10% of grade Exams: 70%(too much) I missed three classes because of covid. Made me take a test right after I got back, and I absolutely bombed it. The lack of help I got from him after I had covid was terrible. Got an F in the class because of that. The way he gave me a half-point short of a D was icing on the cake.
Professor Williams is one of those professors who makes math harder than it already is (my opinion). His exams are worth a lot of points and the homework is literally only worth 10%... He is also very boring and doesn't try to make his lectures interesting. It's like he doesn't care about the students. HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TEACH!
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR! If I had known any better I would've done rate my professor on him sooner. His tests are 70% of your grade and homework is not enough to bring your grade up if you were to bomb one of his tests. Half of my class dropped the class (including me), he'll give out study guides and go a completely different route on the test. :(
AVOID TAKING THIS CLASS! claims to "support you" but when you deeply try he doesn't care. Teaches horribly makes it difficult for students to understand and comprehend information. Exams are NOT multiple choice and you have to show all your work as he grades strictly. Highly recommend taking another professor & make him your LAST option.
I wouldn't wish this class on my worst enemy. Not only are quizzes that are practically impossible 60% of your final grade, his lectures are boring and unhelpful. I dropped this class immediately after completing my 2nd quiz for this class because I knew if I stayed, my GPA would have tanked. Do not take this course.

His lectures contain pretty much everything you need to know for the test along with the homework. However, the lectures are so dull which is why many students cant pay attention, but he does go over everything you need. The tests are open ended, gives review similar to the test, will deduct for not showing work. if youre good at math youll be fine
The average during this semester for tests was 41% You want real advice? Avoid him like the plague and if your counselor tells you this class is necessary you better let them know you're taking a different one over the summer because you do NOT want your GPA to drop one bit because of this class.
Worst math professor ever!! DO NOT recommend taking. If you fail the tests you won't pass the class, even if you get 100's on every assignment that's not a test. Gives no extra credit, does not let you make up tests if you miss 5 total hours of class time, and is not good at teaching math. 100% would not recommend.
This website is hard to trust but seriously trust the reviews on this professor - do not take his class. If you fail one test you will fail the class. Even with 100% on all homework its not possible to pass. Mandatory attendance & keeps track of how often you leave class. So when you ask for help he refuses & cites how often you left class.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He rushes his lectures and expects you to solve equations different for homework and the exam. For exams he expects the long way to show your work or else you'll fail. Unless your great at teaching yourself algebra avoid this professor at all cost!!
listen to the reviews !! do not take him! lectures are so boring. he doesn't want to help you if you leave class early or if you're late to class. he keeps count if you leave the class even if it's just to use the restroom! you will struggle unless you can teach yourself.
Homework in MyMathLab 10% + Homework in Canvas 10% (no graded assignments get posted)+ the average of 3 Tests 65% + Final 15% = total grade. Took 2 weeks to grade our first test. Right now the highest grade is a 66% and the average is 41.5%. Does not teach, just writes equations on the board and expects you to copy the solutions.
I have honestly been very good at math but he just is not the best teacher. Your whole grade depends on the tests, if you fail one you're likely not going to pass the class. He takes forever to grade and his lectures are bland and monotone. He writes equations and solves everything on the board with no explanation and expects you to understand.
Terrible professor, each grade is worth 65% of your grade which is absolutely insane. The worst part is that he grades very strictly. He gave me 0.35 points for a question for not explaining step by step what I did even though it was so self explanatory. Never taking this professor again. Genuinely don't take him if you want to have a good gpa.
His explanations were clear, but homework was heavy and tests were handwritten. If you're good at math and follow his exact example format, you'll get full test credit. If you're not strong in math or prefer a different style, consider studying with another teacher.
READ THIS! I am convince that others rating this teacher so badly expected college to be easy. Well it's not. The teacher explains everything step by step. The reviews are like the test just different numbers. It is just written just show your work not that hard. He is a great professor but some ppl are lazy and expect an easy A without effort.
Ok first, the professor is a really nice guy he'll know your name by like the third class. most of the problems with this course came from the class structure. EXAMS MAKE UP 75% OF YOUR GRADE! in other words if you do bad on a single test like I did your grade will be at risk. and there's only 3 tests so 5-7 topics on every test and no multiple cho
Reading these reviews I was scared for the semester but I was suprised. It was EASY like I just studied and did well. So many ppl complain about the test being so much of our grade but like cmon it's college. Stop being lazy and study/review.
Please for the love of your GPA, do NOT take this class. He's a great professor but his tests, online notes, and lecture notes are completely different. You'll gaslight yourself in believing that youll ace the test, but no. An example is you're learning division, but the test is over how many times a cow poops a day.
The first test I took, I contemplated if I should drive to the nearest bridge. I dreaded all the homework. 6 homework assignments, 27 questions each, and 5+ steps for each one. Spare yourself and your precious brain. My brain was dumped into a bathtub, with a toaster in it.
This nice professor's class depends on tests, not homework. Ignore negative reviews. Study the TEST REVIEWS thoroughly, especially for the first exam, as it determines your grade base. He teaches slowly and helps if you ask. The class is easy if you study the reviews.
Barley teaches the work. Gives 5 problems and expects everyone to just learn a whole unit in one class and onto the next unit. Tests are your grade. If you need to be taught well to understand something do not take unless you are already good at math in every way.
First off he does not teach to make sure the class is understanding he teaches to get paid. The tests are basically your entire grade and they're extremely long... He jumps right into lecturing and doesn't even engage with the students and he's fast paced so if you can learn like that takee him just make sure you study
Don't do it. He rushes through each unit and there's so much info you need to know for each test. He barely engages with you, limits when you can go to the bathroom (is this high school?), and barely if not at all lets you engage with your peers. I only passed because I gave up on listening to him and just watched youtube videos during class.
