He is a great prof. His test reviews are exactly whats on the test. His lectures are great, he loves feedback. I definitely am glad I chose him instead of menchaca, he is super serious. 2 essays in the class, one a final research paper. Easy A.

I took the Saturday class. You have two research essays due per semester (or you can chose to do a 10 min presentation). He gives you a study guide for every test. He also offers extra credit! I highly recommend taking him! Communication is key, so if you couldn't turn in an assignment, let him know!

You can see see the enthusiasm when he speaks over the material. I was a but skeptical in taking a saturday class. Glad i did. As long as you take good notes and do assignments he assigns. You should be good!

He is an excellent professor with a lot to offer. Our class met on Sunday's (bummer) but he made it well worth it. Attendance is mandatory. Read chapters prior to class. He does his lecture along power points that he makes accessible to us to study for tests. If you stay on top of the reading material and attend class, you will do good

There can't possibly be a better psych professor on the planet. Prof W is a psychologist and successful business man-he knows his stuff. He uses easy to follow power point slides and every class is incredibly interesting. There are 4 exams, a research project and easy in-class assignments. By far the best prof I've had in college. Calls students by their first name and pays attention to all students in a way that you know he listens and cares. Take him. He's an amazing teacher. Every test but the final you can use the book and notes because it's online. He's really fair. Also if you have any problems even outside of class talk to him. He's a trained clinical psychologist and he gives good advice

Overall an awesome professor! His lectures are the test content. Missing class can cause you not to make a good grade. Wish I would have taken him for general psychology also! Made an "A" in the class with just hour before cram study time.

The most pleasant learning experience I've had in a classroom. Prof. Williamson is warm, welcoming, encouraging and engaging. Even though I'm pursuing a nursing degree, I'm highly considering a minor in psychology because of him. The highest recommendation!

Show up to class since he doesnt teach directly from slides, though he does a lot of the time. But he does know his stuff. Understanding about late work.

I took him for a Saturday class the exams where not hard at all there where only 4 exams, 3 online and the finale was in the class room, as long as you read the book you should do fine. And he does give you an extra credit assignment. Great professor.

SATURDAY CLASS IS AWESOME. HE IS INTERESTING AND FUNNY. ALWAYS KEEPS IT EXCITING. very clear on what to expect. all but one test was online. i HIGHLY HIGHly recommend him. matter fact he will be my teacher next semester as well for the 2nd psychology

On the frist day of class I was him and was like oh gosh he is going to be tough, but he is a Great teacher, takes time to answer questions . lectues are spot on with test, that are done online only final is in class but you get a review. Taking PSYC 2314 with him next semster, worth giving up my Saturday afternoons.

I should also add that James cleared up errors when the book made a mistake, and there are a lot. Do NOT buy the book, it's poorly written in many areas and not in line with much recent research on things like linguistics, intelligence, and gender/sexuality. I have no idea why TCC has assigned such a trainwreck of a book.

Professor Jim is an incredible professor and extremely intelligent, but down to earth. He keeps everyone in class engaged in a positive way. Keeps lectures fun and students critically thinking. Jim is very understand and willing to help. It would be wonderful if other professors learned to engage students as he does.

James Williamson was a great teacher and remained impeccably objective for teaching such an opinionated field of study. I learned more than I ever imagined from this class and had a great time. The homework wasn't too difficult, but the test were thorough. Actually study the study guide and you will do great.

I took this professor last summer and I will be taking him this fall. He is a wonderful teacher, and is willing to help you outside of class if needed. He keeps lecture pretty interesting. Do any homework assignments and study the test study guides, and you will do great in the class. I am looking forward to his class this fall!

Mr. Williamson is the reason I changed my major to Psychology. I took him in a summer course and he was amazing. I was actually sad on the last day. The class is not easy, but he provides you with every bit of information you need to do well in the class. He makes the subject personal enough to understand. His powerpoint are key!!

I took this class and absolutely enjoyed it! He is a very interesting professor he does awesome lectures. You do have to read your book for homework, but you learn a lot just listening to him talk. This man is phenomenal, you can feel the passion he has. Lectures are never boring, test are very easy if you use the notes. Hardest thing was the psychological research paper, other than that this class was a breeze and you LEARN SO MUCH (going for a minor in psychology now). He is by far one of the best professors I have ever taken. He made me fall in love with a field I never knew I could love so much. Because of him I am now double majoring in nursing and psychology! Loved his class, very passionate, makes things easy to understand. simple 2part research project on subject of your choice. Main complaint is the self assessments with subjective questions receiving a grade which doesn't make sense. like the second one asked what I liked/disliked abt the class and I got 47/50 idk but other than that amazing class!!

Great professor. Uses life experiences to correlate with subject. Allows students to fully grasp concept of material by providing assignments relating to chapters, quizzes and also exams. The chapters are organized specifically and are averaged to about 4 chapters per unit. This is a great course on Life Span Growth and Development.

The best professor ever! Very easy class. Assignments are even fun to work on. 2 each 10 Questions homework every week, really easy and fun. one blackboard discussion every week (just one paragraph, super easy). Multiple Question exam. Don't Procrastinate the questions are easy. It is an interesting class, an amazing professor, and an easy A.

I struggled with Psychology in high school, so I wasn't very excited to take this class, but Professor Williamson was awesome and his lessons were easy to follow. 2-3 assignments weekly, 4 proctored exams, and a research paper (easy). He offers a couple extra credit assignments, so be sure to take advantage of the easy points.

I would take him again if I could. He's an amazing professor. So honest, clear, engaging, and fair. I actually enjoyed being in his class and learning psych, and his homework was fairly easy and to the point, just make sure to turn it in. Even then, if something happens, communicate with him and he will definitely help. Very approachable.

He used a free online textbook, read out of order. If you miss class, good luck. His homework was a short summary of what was discussed in class with a few in class assignments. We took 3 at home online multiple choice exams that were easy with the final being multiple choice in class with a scantron. Overall 10/10 professor.

He was ABSOLUTELY my all-time favorite professor of my college career thus far He was extremely compassionate and had such a good caring aura. His assignments were very routine and predictable. If you put effort forth, I feel he graded upon that. Exams were at home final is not over whole semester-only last 3 chapters and is taken in class. GOAT!

He was very talkative, but not too much. The assignments are VERY EASY and he grades them good. There is not many assignments. Lecture is basically mandatory because some of the assignments could only be completed during class. He has an amazing presentation voice and keeps you engaged

Mr. Williamson was wonderful to have as a professor. All of his assignments (besides projects) are short and can be done in ~10 minutes. There's usually max 2 per week. He works in the psychology field outside of school and comes with an open-mind and lots of personal stories that make the class very entertaining and enjoyable.
