If you are looking for a laid back class, stop now! Requires twice as much more than a normal class. Instructor is a perfectionist. Students must have superior writing and grammar skills before taking his course. BUT...he is responsive to all questions and is readily able to assist you throughout the course. Would not take again.

If you wana learn how to write really good then take his class. He's a pusher but its good. I sugest u take his class in person tho, not online.

This professor was really helpful and explain everything very clearly. While his lecture, he gave examples to the class which helped us to understand the lecture. He does not start talking about new topic until everybody understand his previous lecture. I liked the way he taught us how to write an essay. I will recommend him to every student.

I have had a professor who was mean to me because of my skin color, not only that he doesn't like me, he failed me and I had to fight for my grade. But Professor James Wong isn't like that. I took his English 1301 class. You can tell that its his passion to teach and help you succeed. The use of your phone in class is not allowed. He will give u a zero on one of your quizzes if he catches you on the phone so beware. I got two zeros for this. The course load is manageable and teaches u a ton. I give him an A.

I took Professor Wong for GUST0305, 8 week course. He is SO GREAT!! The only downside was that there is a quiz everyday since this class is 8 weeks, but we can use the book on each one! (not on tests or final) we also had homework everyday so make sure to turn in your journals on time!! Tests are easy since they are the same questions used on quiz.

Mr. Wong was one of the first teachers ever that I encountered who gave quizzes and homework every day! It was crazy to me at first but later in my semester he taught us that being on top of things was his specialty! He appreciated that we did so much work in class because they meant we learned something new everyday and that was his job to teach

Be perpared for quizzes everyday. Showing up on time will get you 10 points on a quiz grade.

I really enjoyed Professor Wongs Gust class! Its very simple if you read the textbook and complete ALL assignments. Tests and quizzes are a piece of cake! I definitely recommend all college students take Professor Wongs GUST class.

Just read the textbook, show up everyday for class, take the 10 minute quiz, listen to the lecture and youll pass. The class is half common sense and half textbook material. Just do the work and it will probably the easiest class you take. And prof. Wong tell give detailed instructions. you dont need to buy the textbook he has them for his class.

There is a lot of homework and early more quizzes, if your late, he'll mark you tardy, I really wish he didn't mark me tardy on my first day of class I didn't know my way around campus. Other than that he is a good teacher, he makes homework easy to understand, just make sure to study for the morning Quizzes.
