He is one of the best math teachers I have ever had.He is very clear and very concise with his teaching methods, however he is strict and tough at times.He will lecture for the whole class, & answer questions at the end.Exams are easy if you study. Hate word problems? You won't after this class.

He is serious and straight-forward. Expects you to come to class and pay attention. Very clear on his presentation. Excellent review for tests. Makes himself available for questions.

He taught a subject that most people get lost in with repetition, examples and lectures. Lots of great test preparation. I took his class over the summer and the pace was amazing. I'm surprised he took the time to give us so many examples. If math is not your subject, you need him.

I love Professor Wong. He goes over a ton of examples. He's funny and a nice guy. It's easy to understand his explainations but he expects to pay attention. Make sure you do all the homework and you'll do perfectly fine.

very straightforward, you dont have to turn in hw every class which is nice, the exams are easy if u do the hw and go to the review class. he seems pretty chill and doesnt like to deal with bs. which is not always a bad thing.

Prof Wong is a FABULOUS math instructor.He's really good at what he does.Im NOT a math person but I took the 6wk winter session & ACED it.Its a tough course but he teaches by example which is VERY effective.The notes he gives u r better than the textbook -I couldnt have gotten through this class without his notes. Very fair grader & VERY nice man.

Great professor. Very good instruction technique, very organized and lots of examples. He's very efficient, we covered everything we need to be prepared for Math 20. I highly recommend him to people who want to learn and be prepared for further math classes. He's approachable and a nice guy. He collects homework at every test, not every class.

Professor Wong is absolutely the best math teacher I have ever had. He is nice, helpful and respect you. He makes math a piece of cake. More students in class get As than Cs, and its is thanks to his way of teaching and student willingness to participate in class, and do the homeworks. I strongly, strongly, really stronlgy recomend him.

Baby steps. Those two words describe Prof. Wong's teaching style. Things are broken down into tiny pieces so they are easily understood. I had him for Math 31 over the summer and his teaching style worked so well for me (and ten others) that we rearranged our fall schedules to take his class. His test reviews are a big asset to the class.

Great teacher. Very clear in his instruction. I have not had math for a very long time and was able to do well. Very helpful if you go to him for help during office hours, but does not like to take class time if you do not understand. I do wish he would go over tests so you can figure out what you did wrong. My only complaint is the book! Terri

Highly recommend him! Took him during summer, he wants everyone to make As. Gives curves too. He really knows how to break things down to explain math to anyone! As long as you listen in class and do HW, you'll do fine. He really knows how to teach math well!!

Crystal Clear wasn coined after this man. He repeats himself over and over so if you don't get it and you don't speak up you deserve the poor grade he gave you. He starts out slow and picks up the pace, so don't get used to taking your time on homework and studies or you'll fall behind quickly. Easy A and strong foundation for higher math!

Great math professor for people who struggle in math. He is very clear and will go over a concept until you understand it. HW packet due at every test. Attendance mandatory, so don't miss. Nice guy, and very helpful to pass the class. Take him if you don't like math. He'll help you through.

Mr. Wong is by far the best possible teacher for Math 20. His lectures are mandatory, but perfectly spoken. If you're not that great at math, I recommend this teacher if you want to pass with an A.

This is a very good professor. He explains very well and answer questions without making you look stupid like othere professors. gradins system 10%hw & attendance,60% exams,30%final. He gives review before every test n problems are 90 % similar to those on the exam.Just do your homework n u you'll get an A.

Easy & clear. The class consists basically of homework because the problems on the tests are taken from the homework.

The last time I did math equations were over 10 years ago. Prof. Wong is amazingly clear, prepares you well for exams, makes math fun, and wants you to succeed. He is the finest example of the word "teacher". Highly recommend! Just remember to do it "Wong's Way" and you will ease your way through ANY equation. Sign up ASAP for ANY of his classes!

Took Math 31 in Summer 2010 with Prof. Wong and got an A. So glad I was able to get into Math 20 as it's the best decision I made as a full-time student. Prof. Wong is an AMAZING teacher: helpful, fun, prepares you well for exams, and genuinely interested in your success. (BTW, it's mid-semester now and I have an A average)

Fantastic teacher! Took him in a short 6 week course over the summer. Best math teacher I ever had. Just do the work and show up and the rest will come. His explanations are so very clear. He is the best!!!!

I took this class to make it a full time student and thank god i did, he explains everything really well and makes sure your are prepared for his tests, all u gotta do is attend & do your homework even though he looks are your homework for a split second. i highly recommend this professor A+++

This was my 2nd time taking Math 18, but 1st time with Wong. He is probably the 2nd best math teacher after Prof. Green. Wong is extremely organized, focused, and thorough with his lectures and textbook materials. He gives really good reviews prior to any test. I recommend him for his straightforward, yet engaging and clear lectures.

Very fair. very little homework, just make sure you show up everyday! Got an A on every test!

Mr. Wong was awesome! I've always feared math, but he made it so clear. Just by being in class and taking notes, you can get an A. Study the notes and the insanely good reviews he does before every test, and you will be fine. Got an A and got a 100% on two of his tests, and believe me.. I am not good in math. This professor makes a difference!

I've never gotten an A on a math exam until I took this class. This professor is that good at teaching the subject. I HIGHLY recommend any who wish to take math 18, 20, 31, to take it with him. He's fantastic. I just completed my math 18 class with him today...now I will go on to statistics this fall. Again, take a math class with him if possible!

This guy made me love math again! I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Wong! He's very clear with his notes, and gives extra examples, if needed. He curved some of our tests, and gave reviews before the day of the exam which REALLY HELP! Take him!!

TAKE WONG! He makes math so simple! I'm terrible at math and his explanations really helped and were clear! The homework isn't too overwhelming but it counts for points and helps for the exams! Exams are pretty simple, no tricks! Great math teacher!

Wong is a fantastic math teacher. We had 5 tests and a final. Homework was due at time of the tests. His class is easy to understand, but math is not easy. The tests are heavily based off in class lectures. He also gives a review which is very similar to the test. He does go a bit fast sometimes and towards the end he just passes out reviews. GREAT

Wong is a great professor who cares about his students. Follow the review he gives for tests, come to class and do your homework and you will get an A. If you have not done math in awhile this will not be an easy class. It is fast paced.

You need a solid foundation from the previous math to do well. If you don't have it you will be lost. This class is like a review of Math 31 but with some extras. It is easy if you are dedicated and the reviews are the most helpful. It is very fast paced so pay attention and go to class and take notes on everything.

Best math 20 professor at smc. There are five tests and a final and homework for the section is due the day of test. He does a review of the material before each test and as long as you finish the homework before the review day, you should ace each test. Would highly recommend.

best professor I've ever taken he is extremely straight forward with everything he will teach and on his tests he gives out study guides that are basically what the test is going to have i will be taking his class again! and i got a C during the summer class so I'm pretty sure the school year will be easier HIGHY RECOMMEND THIS PROFESSOR !

I'm not really a math person but as far as it goes, Wong was better than I expected. Very helpful and so clear. Always showed work which I found helpful. We used the textbook for example and homework problems so you really do need it. Don't get caught up on buying the "school's version," it's the same. Show up and pay attention and you'll do fine.

Took this course during the summer, haven't taken a math class in 8 years and got an A. He's VERY clear, just skims the HW, but you should do it thoroughly to understand the concepts. Tests are very similar to the study guides he hands out. Definitely recommend him if you have math anxiety. No group work or quizzes, just lecture, tests, hw.

Professor Wong is a great professor. He is simple and to the point. He is one of the better math professors at SMC -free from any of the anal mumbo-jumbo most professors nitpick over- in terms of grading. He is a nice guy as well and he definitely has a passion for teaching.

I really liked mr. wong, he may be my favorite math teacher Ive ever had. thats not bc hes inspirational, or funny, or entertaining- it's just bc he's straightforward. he doesnt judge students, or favor anyone. ive noticed a lot of the mathsci teachers at SMC play games, putting things on tests that you havent gone over in depth; not wong.

Wong has a very high tolerance for stupid questions I noticed. He would spend a whole class explaining one thing and someone at the end would ask what just happened and Wong would re-explain. Attendance matters big time. Turn in your homework and start working on it early - it about 20-30 pages long always. If you do your HW's you'll get that A.

Pretty straightforward guy, just there to teach and go home. Go to class, start your homeworks early, and study for the tests. It is very possible to get a B in this class by just making sure you do those three things. 5 tests and a final, and he averages the scores of those tests and adds that to your grade near the final.

Professor Wong is the best math teacher i have ever had! He is so patient and is always ready to help students. He lectures in a way that everyone can understand and is very clearstraightforward. YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIM!!

Professor Wong is by far the best (Math 20/Intermediate Algebra) professor. He give notes on every section he teaches, and if we can't get to a certain section, it will not be on the test. His notes are extremely clear, he is polite, and will teach you the best methods in solving math problems. You have to show up every session in order to get an A

I took Professor Wong during the Summer session. Word of advice, don't fall behind. He is very fast paced because of the amount of information to cover in 6 weeks. He is very straightforward and tells you exactly what you need to do to get the grade you want. I enjoyed his teaching methods and is definitely one of the best math professors I've had.

He is the best math teacher i had ever gotten. All of his tests are from the review packet he gives you before the exam. Study the exam you will pass the test. His lectures are so detailed and easy to understand, i just wish all of the math teachers in SMC will teache like him. Easy A guaranteed. HW-Every other odd problem. Easy, Easy, Easy.

Great teacher goes over every problem step by step gives review packets for each exam and final (5 exams 1final) hw due on day of exam. Very clear from day one on what u need to do to get A. Explains material very well and breaks it down for you much better than the book. Show up take notes study and easy A. He is a gem, take him!

Appreciated his ability to explain in detail and step by step to solve equations, word problems, or formulas. Go to every class, do your homework and study the quiz packets he gives before each test, he wants to make sure you know what will be asked on actual test.

AMAZING, especially if you had taken MATH31. Step by step teaching, and is very easy to understand. All you have to do to get an A is go to every lecture and do the homework. Isn't that easy?

The most straightforward math teacher I've had. Lectures the whole time during class but he's very clear + makes it super easy. Homework packet is due before each exam and he gives you a review packet which is pretty much like the test. I mean it when I say if I could take him for every single math class at SMC, I would!!

The people complaining are probably fresh out of high school and dont know how to prioritize their lives yet. This professor is very straightforward. If you have questions regarding the test, he gives out a review, which is pretty close to the actual test. Great professor. Speaks English well (had to mention that since most professors at smc dont)

HE IS AWESOME. I made a decision to major in math or math-related majors because of him. He makes math doable. If you participate in the class and study the materials ahead of time, you'll be fine.

What was covered in class is exactly what was on the exams. He gave practice exams which cover, again, the exact material which would be on the exams. Lectures were very clear, memorable, and engaging! He gives lots of opportunities for participation//questions during lectures.

By far my favorite professor! As long as you pay attention to the lecture material you will do great! I took online with scheduled times. He emailed a copy of the lecture notes the day before and a review packet for material that will be tested. Homework is standard for math class but you will not be drowning in it. Wish he taught every math class

Professor Wong is an excellent Math20 professor. Participation in class matters a lot & if you take his class online, make sure your camera is on. He gives extra credit for class participation, so the more you participate the more your exam scores will get bumped a couple extra points. He is accommodating & easy to get ahold of outside of class.

I took math 26 on campus. His notes are examples from the book, and he offers a practice exam a week before the exam. Take good notes, do the homework, show up to class, do the practice exam over and over, and you'll get an A in the class. I thought I would get a C-, and ended up with an B due to 1 bad exam. I'd take him again for sure.
