Ms. Brown is a cool teacher. I was one of 3 guys in a class of 50, but she was helpful and open to the male opinion. Not much work, and lots of open discussion.

I took Jamie's SOC-1 Telecourse class and she was so awesome! Her tests were on the topics that she went over so I wasn't left confused, and she talked about interesting discussions so that we were entertained. Very sweet lady, very helpful and clear.

dr. brown does a good job with the online course. she actually tries to engage in conversation with the students rather than just be the person who puts a mark next to your grade. and everything's set up pretty clearly too. would definitely like to take her on campus course sometime. that is, if parking wasn't so damn horrendous.

I loved Professor Brown. She's a great, thought provoking teacher. Her tests are multiple choice and T or F and they go hand in hand with the the book so all you have to do is read and review, and you'll do fine. She's very clear and organized. I took this marriage and family class online and it was so easy. We didn't have to write a paper - just do informal discussion questions. The material came straight from the textbook and the book was a very easy read. This class is highly recommended for anyone who wants an A. She may even let you turn work in late if she likes you.

It was an easy online class. As long as you read the test were SUPER EASY!! Practice quizes helped alot and the discussion questions were simple also. Easy A as long as you read the test are the majority of your grade

ONLINE Took it for 6 weeks, EASY class. In the 6 wk. course you read about 95 pgs a week for the first 4 weeks, and 65 the last 2. Each week there is 1 discuss quest and 1 exam. Skim read, you'll be fine: 40 min to answer 25 quest's. the discuss quests: just site a bunch of pgs in it and you'll do good. no papers/project. class is interesting!

Her online class is a lot of work but fairly easy. She is a pretty easy grader and will give you any feedback on assignments if you turn them in early.

Soc 15- Women in American Society, was the best class i've ever taken. Dr. B is such a great professor. Her class is an easy A if you do the work and turn it in on time.

I took her online class and it was really interesting. She is a very good teacher and usually responds quickly to questions. There is one discussion question almost every week, two assignments, and a few tests. If you do the reading (or some serious skimming) the questions, assignments, and tests are very easy. Highly recommended.

Professor Brown relies on discussion rather than lecture to teach sociology. She is very knowledgeable in her field and really doesn't rely on the textbook too much. She will engage you in different perspectives and help you understand how different aspects of life can be explained beyond the stereotypical norm. Plus shes funny and down to earth!

This was a great class and she is a fair teacher. She allowed me to use the older textbook, she is extremely organized and communicates well. If you read the chapters and complete the discussion board assignments you are guaranteed an A+. Exams where very straight forward no confusing questions, if you do the reading you'll be just fine. Final exam is easier than the regular exams, just study past exams and you'll get 100 percent. Pr. Brown also gives great feedback, not a tough grader.

I took Dr. Brown's class online during the summer some people might think it's a lot of work, to me it was not. You have to post on the participation board once a week and answer the weekly discussion question as well as respond to another students discussion question answer. Make sure you read the book and you will do good on the exams every week!

Such an award Professor. Her class will make you fall more in love with sociology. The book is very important! Be sure to sign in daily, read the chapters entirely because some questions on the test are little question that answers are hidden within the text. Easiest A I've received. but I truly enjoyed the class. Exams are easy if you read the book and the written assignments are super easy I got perfect score on both the essay's. She offered a total of 40 points of extra credit throughout the course. If you get anything lower than an A you didn't want an A.

She is very responsive throughout course period, if anyone has any questions or concerns. I enjoyed her class so much, I signed up to take her during a full semester.

She is so much fun to work with. Has amazing class discussions pertaining to the topic of the lecture, share stories with class - class participates if they want. Group projects for sure, essays for sure. 10/10 would recommend, even for a dude. Dudes come out with some better insight on what most women deal with. Take her class for fun too!

Dr. Brown is great! She is very communicative about what she expects from students, and it makes her classes easy to pass. She is the department head for behavioral sciences, so she is well respected on campus. I have taken two courses with her, online and in person, and both were interesting and easy.

She's great!! I took Soc 1 online, and she has a very straightforward grading criteria. You must read each chapter in the textbook in order to understand the topics and what to write about. You would have to simply not do any of the assignments and/or not properly site your references in order to not pass this class lol. This class was helpful.

I enjoyed her marriage and family relations course very much. She is very personable even with it being an online course. Her online schedule is very user-friendly. It's an easy A if you do all of your work and readings.

All quizzes and one final exam are timed. But they're so easy you're bound to get an A just be sure to read the book!

Dr. Brown is a great professor. She provides a very casual atmosphere in her classroom. I've taken two classes she taught, one online and one classroom. I received an A in both classes. Show up, do the work (not a lot) and you'll get an A. Interesting classroom discussion and group work. I would definitely recommend Dr. Brown.

Lectures are interesting and she is funny. Quizzes are 10 questions each. Study the chapter summary to pass the quizzes. Took her class as part of a learning community and she understands that there are other assignments due for other classes and does her best to not overlap them. Professor Brown is one of the best professors in all the district, she is always available when I emailed her, and willing to help, she cares about her students even tho she did not see us in person. This class is fairly easy with this professor. There are many discussions, 10 quizzes, and a final exam. You don't really need the book unless you're citing sources for the discussions. The quizzes are more focused on the sources in the modules rather than the book. Not an easy A, but you will definitely pass with a B or higher.

You can definitely finish with and A if you simply put in the effort. I spent about 1 full day out of the week to do her assignments and I finished with an A. Highly recommend her class!

Mandatory text book, you will be tested every chapter on random thing in the text so she makes sure you dont cheat. Lecture responses have to be well written and cited or she will doc points, final is an essay.

De. Brown gives feedback on your discussion post which makes you feel good that she takes the time to read them. She tried to interact with you on your posts! There is a lot of reading to do in your textbook and quizzes every week! Her discussions and reading are very interesting!

Amazing professor, she truly cares and is passionate about this subject. My only regret is not being able to take her in person. If you ever have the opportunity to enroll, do it. The work is extremely easy as well as the quizzes, you just need to read your textbook and look over the content provided!

Well organized lesson plan and lots of constructive feedback on assignments. Frequent open communication and fast responses to emails outside class. The material isn't too difficult but as long as you read the textbook, you'll do fine. Dr. Brown is a good teacher and a wonderful person, definitely recommend taking her classes if you can.

An expert online class instructor. I highly recommend taking any class that she teaches. You'll learn a lot and have a lot of interaction in spite of it being an online class. She seems to genuinely care about her students. I'd take another of her classes anytime.

Dr. Brown had such a huge impact in my college career that I changed my major to Sociology. Cares about her students and is passionate about what she teaches. She wants you to succeed in her course and will work with you! The class was pretty smooth. Lots of short discussions so you have lots of opportunities to either make or break your grade if you don't keep up. As long as you do the work thoughtfully, you'll get an A.

Second time taking a Dr. Brown. Very helpful and gives good feedback. Just reading the book alone should be enough to get A's on all quizzes and the final. Make sure to participate and do all assignments so you don't fall behind. Overall, good professor. I learned a lot and enjoyed the class so much, I contemplated switching my major to sociology.

I took her class online for Spring 2021, overall pretty easy class, easy discussions and easy quizzes. There's only one test which is the final. The one thing I didn't like in her class was citing sources for some of the discussions.

Prof Brown is such a wholesome lady, I love her so much. She is the most understanding and grades clearly. She also isn't that strict with grading. She can also give you extended deadlines if you really need them. Overall would take her class again because she's so lovely.

She is a really good teacher. Super easy class to earn an A and you learn a lot. Don't pay attention to my grade, I only received a C because I missed a lot of classes due to living out of state (sudden life change). Participation points (120) is you coming to class.

Took her for SOC-12 online and shes very clear with what she expects. Theres one final and its 4 questions. Theres a quiz on every chapter which is about 10 questions. Theres also a discussion post weekly.
