Knows what he's talking about. Seems very willing to help students, which is appreciated. Asks good questions for discussion and isn't afraid to bring up the sensitive topics, although for some reason it can be a little intimidating to speak up in class at times. And yeah, seems to have a certain something...

I do not like English. Prof. Bradley made it more interesting than I would have expected. His lecture style is somewhat unstructured, but I am a visual learner. If you go to class and listen you will do well. The summer class flew by quickly with him as a prof.

Good GOD I hate English....I would love nothing more than to never read an english book again. Anyways, with that said, Prof. Bradley was OK. He was kinda nervous, and not too helpful and it was EXTREMELY hard to get anything out of his lecture. Not to mention the late night class and dark lighting, I left early every time.

Well, thank God I own a laptop! He teaches lecture-style, so he talks throughout the entire class and writing notes is speedy and jumbled. I have had to go over mine a few times to make sure my notes taken mad sense. He is very nice, but if you're not a strong note-taker (or advanced typist), pray that you make friends in class. ;)

I can't deny that the charm of his nervous, introverted character has affected my opinion on his academic skills, but he really is a great professor. Notes are essential in his class. And he won't speak as if reading out of the textbook, so further work will be needed to organize and put the notes to good use.

Although he does seem nervous and it is tough to take notes in his class, if you go to class and pay attention he basically tells you what will be on the final and he marks essays fairly.

This prof is the worst I've ever had. He does not grade fairly and is very conservative and what he accepts in his teachings. He spent the half of one class berating everyone about their essays, and then wondered why half the class left by break. I really hate the fact that I had to take this course.

He's a great prof! He had awesome insight into the material and made me interested in taking more classes taught by him. Lots of teachers seem to just report the text back to you, but he made it so much mroe interesting! Awesome class-would take it again if i could

THE best prof I've ever had. Very insightful, doesn't try to be funny but often accidentally makes jokes (making everything 10x more interesting). Fair marker, if you see him outside of class he is also extremely helpful and gives tons of feedback. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I had Professor Bradley for Children's Lit and it was fantastic. His lectures were incrediably insightful and interesting. I learned a lot from this professor and really enjoyed his class. While you do have to be a decent notetaker, if you go to class and pay attention you should do fine. Nothing on the midterm was a surprise.

Decent prof - knows his stuff and has moments where he explains things that make it much clearer. HOWEVER, if you have him in the morning, get ready to FALL ASLEEP. He is the MOST soporific talker I've had to date in uni. So drink a dozen espressos before class if you want to stay awake...

Science Fiction. Good prof. Fairly tough grader but he is always willing to discuss your grade and will justify it clearly. Certainly knows a lot about the topic and is very well-read, but definitely is not the most fascinating lecturer. Be prepared to doze off in the early morning classes. Overall, I'd recommend him though!

Great prof, great lecturer. He is extremely well read. Previous to this English class I had a scarring experinece in high school, when my English teacher told me in front of the whole class that I was stupid. Bradley's class was a definite confidence booster, he tought me that your opinion does matter.

Bright guy, certainly well-read. Not the most fascinating lecturer, however. He has a way of passing on various interpretations of a novel and is quite open to alternate opinions. He is very clear on expectations as well; he prepares by asking you what questions you expect on the exam. Overall, tough grader, but a good experience nonetheless.

The actual lectures don't seem very useful to go to (though the DGDs are definitely a must to attend). Professor Bradley is a decent lecturer and he is very helpful if you attend his office hours. There is something strangely charming about him, not sure what it is.

Very knowledgable and a really great lecturer. He doesn't use slides or Powerpoints, but will always answer questions his students may ask. It was clear that he was very interested in what he taught, and it made the class very enjoyable.

Professor Bradley is the definition of a "decent" prof. He was pretty monotone and didn't make the class extremely exciting for 830am, but the class content was very straight forward and it was very easy to get a good mark. He also seems like he knows what he is talking about and wants all students to do well. The final was also very easy.

Prof Bradley was decent for Children's Lit. It was one of my favourite classes this semester because the material is so interesting. You definitely obtain a lot of knowledge and go in-depth into the books. That said, there was a lot of reading to do and he was a pretty picky marker for essays (2). Overall, definitely a good prof.

Not the best but also not the worst.He is a hard marker but his TA is easier.So if u get in his class be sure u are in his TA section for DGDs cause then she will be the one that marks ur essays.This guy babbles on and on like a broken record. He's a really great lecturer, I have the attention span of a goldfish and I managed to stay entertained for 3hrs straight. He is a hard marker for sure and took a week to email me back when I had questions but the texts were interesting and he really knows what he's talking about. And I agree that there's something really charming about his dryness

impressively, entirely verbal lectures with no powerpoints or tech. it becomes a race of taking notes to catch the gist of things, so you're really forced to pay attention. one of my favorite classes out of my entire uni experience!

This guy is actually a great prof- he's sarcastic and actually really funny with his dry humour. He talks a lot about his expectations and everything else, like due dates and what you'll be doing each class, is on the syllabus. My class literally had 2 essays, 3 in class quizzes and a final exam so not bad in terms of work load

He is quite dry and very hard to read so I didn't know what to think at first. I am a terrible writer but he is the kind of professor that notices the effort. Go to classes, pay attention, don't be afraid to ask for advice, make it clear that you're trying to succeed and you will do well, he is very reasonable.

Prof Bradley, likes to keep things philosophical and will have most of his essays based on philosophocal questions and debates. Going to lectures isn't mandatory but he does like his pop-quizes which consists of basic grammar. Lectures are completly dry and personally I showed up to class really stoned all the time, and it was a breeeze.

This class was a super easy course. He gives 3 quizzes with 10 sentences and each has an error for you to correct. Theres also a rhetorical analysis essay, research essay and the final exam. The final exam was an essay with 3 questions and then we write an essay with a choice of 3 prompts. Attend class because theres inclass assignments worth 10%

Prof Bradley is a very nice man, but he does not teach ENG1100 right. I was looking forward to learning about essay writing, but we did not talk about essay writing almost ever. He talked about YouTube and Twitter far too much. Overall a very boring, confusing class. Standardized final exam was hard b/c of poor teaching throughout the semester

Unclear and boring. I learned more about essay writing in 30 minutes from my history prof than I did from this entire course. He was also extremely late in handing back assignments and didn't give feedback. He didn't use blackboard and I never found out what the grade for my final paper was. Still did well, no thanks to the prof.

Solid professor. Really interesting lectures, and gives really good feedback/ suggestions to help with your assignments. No surprises; everything is listed in the syllabus, and explained thoroughly. The course is super fun, too; keeping up with the readings & taking good notes is helpful for the exams.

He's an okay prof in terms of teaching the material (although his lectures are really dry) but he doesn't email back, no matter how time-sensitive the matter is. If you want to ask him for clarification on an assignment or to review your thesis, forget it. He will not respond. Also, he lost a few students' assignments, mine included.

Okay so, this professor is very boring, but he ends class early all the time and is always there if you need his help. I still dont know how to write an essay though, and my final is tomorrow. You learn more about strategies like Pathos, Ethos, Logos, but you do not learn how to write an essay. You have been warned. Attendence is 10% of your mark!

Prof. Bradley's class was extremely boring. He has a monotone voice which is not enhanced by the subject matter. I didn't learn anything in his class, which made showing up pointless, except for the bi-weekly in-class assignments. Made us buy the new edition of the Norton Field Guide ($110), barely used. I'll avoid taking his class in the future.

Professor Bradley's voice is indeed rather monotone, it is definitely easy to zone out during his lectures. He is late often, will end class early often, but the course itself is fairly easy and straightforward. Can't complain.

Incredibly intelligent and respectable prof, but the course consisted of grammar quizzes and conceptual explanations of essay-related things, all of which were not understood by 90% of the class. Lots of repetition. Take advantage of office hours if you want to do well on the (fairly difficult) essays.

his voice is monotone you can easily fall asleep. It seems like this is an essay writing class but we focused on non-essential elements a lot. Lots of repetition. However, if you go to his office hours, he gives good feedback. Classes should be more organized. Overall boring class and i will avoid taking his class

Prof Bradley is not a bad teacher but his lectures are so boring. He doesn't use a power point or write on the board so you just listen to him talk for an hour and a half. The course is assignment heavy but none of them are overly difficult and he provides outlines for everything. The exam was open book so buy his textbook. No midterms.

Super boring lectures but sometimes he'll spike my interest by talking about philosophy or various things not related to English. You don't really need to go to class, the TA posted everything online. Super easy class if you speak English well so get ready to pass with an A. Make sure to pay enough attention and write your essays.

ENG1100 is kind of a boring class, so I can't blame him for my almost falling asleep in class. If you have good grammar and understand that a thesis is not a question (and know how to use OWL Purdue for citations), then you'll be fine without the textbook. Some writing exercises, a paper, a couple small quizzes.

Not really much to say. Pretty average, teaches what he has to. Marking takes forever, and theres only a few thing that the mark is riding on which isn't great. I didn't have a *bad* experience, but I didn't have a great time either.

His class is terribly boring, but making an essay writing course exciting is pretty hard to do. Sometimes he was unclear on assignment instructions, but when you speak to him one-on-one you end up receiving some helpful tips. Overall, he was a likeable guy, and it was not a stressful course.

Prof Bradley's class was pretty solid. Class + DGD went by smoothly, there are quizzes every other week and random in class assignments that were really easy. The essays were not very difficult to write and he gave pretty good feedback. Very accessible and flexible with essay submissions. Pretty solid guy and class. I would take it again

Bradley had a monotoned voice that made the lectures drag on. There were few real readings, but mostly you read grammar I never did and still could understand his lectures. There are a few assignments with clear instructions but very little feedback. I would try to find a better prof that makes the already dry material better.

Not a bad prof for ENG1100. This course is generally flat, but he conveyed the material effectively. He provides the essential info and does not waster your time. You often get to leave early and DGDs are too clarify info, ask questions, and do quizzes. Participation makes up a chunk of your mark. Push through with some coffee. Very kind man.

Bradley is a well-rounded prof. Gets the information across well, despite his monotoned voice. Posts a typed out version of his lectures so note-taking if fairly easy. Must go to the lectures since there is a good amount of in-class assignments.

Most boring lectures I've ever sat through (no PPTs, just talking to the class), attendance is mandatory because of pop quizzes but if it wasn't I would've skipped. The lectures barely carry over to the exam. He marks VERY hard for a 1st yr English class and he takes forever to mark assignments. If you can, take this class with a different prof.

Honestly, just a laid back prof who helps you improve by leaving you to yourself. He provided the information, and we did what we needed to do. I did what was expected and I got an easy A. If I can I will take his classes in the future, apart from his pretty boring lectures, he's a good prof.

No PPT, just looking at the Prof. Cannot concentrate to what he's talking about at all. Summer term is short and he postponed deadline of 2nd assignment so that feedback is postponed (doesn't come out yet on Jul 28); Then feedback of assignment 3 is also postponed, while he wants us to write assignment 4 (deadline Aug 5) based on this feedback...

One of the worst profs I've ever met. Most profs use virtual conference but he just uploaded his videos, sitting there, and just talking casually without PPT, and his a lot of pause and "umm..." really distract me, soooo boring lecture!! Too many readings for a 6 week summer course, and his boring lecture brings more difficulty to get a good grade

not much studying (open book & he provided the notes), short videos but just of him sitting there. monotone videos, lots of ummmm... which was boring but pretty easy to get a decent grade. very nice & approachable, nothing really stands out about him or his course but no major complaints. didnt mark too difficult but doesnt give good feedback

I'm honestly not sure about this professor. On one hand he is very laid back and the material is super easy, on the other hand he is not a very interesting lecturer and the marks for quizzes and assignments take forever to be returned. All the notes are already typed up and everything is open-book. Kind of a meh class. Oh, and put it to 2x speed.

Class was online so heavily lecture based and frequent quizzes. He wasn't necessarily a bad prof but his lectures were kind of boring and redundant. Course load was not heavy, gave you notes on lectures which was helpful. Grading wasn't too tough as his rubric is super clear and assignments are pretty straightforward.

Professor Bradley did not have any live lectures and would randomly post lecture videos. There were quizzes and assignments every week, and also a lack of communication.

I think he is very professional and helpful. His explanations help me better understand writing essays. If you like online courses you should take his class. He records his lectures but it is always better to join live as he mostly answers questions during class. Never seen him make jokes or talk about irrelevant things. Extremely professional.

Honestly very disorganized. His lectures were so heavy, about 3 hours of him talking non-stop about everything (not following his own handouts), without any visual support (no PPT, Word, nothing). Feedback was not very good/no explanation on points that were lost. Responds very slowly to emails, but is really helpful 1 on 1 for assignments

Lectures are BORING. Only a couple quizzes in the first half of the semester, but during the second half we had regular quizzes and weekly assignments alongside the final essay. Wish the workload was spread out a bit throughout the term. TA was better/more helpful than the prof. Definitely take the course with someone else if you can.

I chose this course for my English requirement but ended up dropping it the week after, because there were WAY to many readings! This prof talks about cool things during lecture, he is really knowledgeable but personally this course was way too tough (impossible for me to complete even)! I love reading, but maybe Ill take another course with him.

He was nice and the class was easy but the lectures were pretty boring. He just talks the entire time and its hard to focus i usually ended up going on my phone during it, still got A on all the quizzes and assignments so the lectures felt pretty useless as long as you read the handouts.

Prof Bradley is an average prof, this class was not particularly hard for me and there wasn't too much homework other than short assignments towards the end of the course. Lectures are pretty boring and he's really monotone, he basically just explains the PDF that he posts in Brightspace.

I have to say that personality-wise he was nice, but in terms of grading he was pretty harsh and half the time I was very confused by his feedback. The lectures felt like they were 3 hours long and were hard to stick around for, I caught myself falling asleep a few times.

The professor's lectures consist of reading off the handouts he posted online. He has a monotone voice and is not very interactive with the class. He is a harsh grader with an unclear grading scheme for assignments. There are weekly content quizzes and weekly assignments based on the lectures. While he seems nice, I would not retake his class.

Feedback DEMEANING and inconsistent with grades. Wouldn't give assignments back on time (assignments pushed into finals). 10% of the grade is attendance, but inconsistent with taking attendance. Unreasonable amounts of reading. Voice monotone and unclear, made me fall asleep multiple times. If not for the credit I would have dropped the class.

He gave us no notes, all we had on brightspace was the name of the book we were to read, nothing else. He provides very little info about assigments, which gave me bad grades. His lectures are very boring, he just talks for 1and15 minutes without presenting anything,which makes it difficult to follow. Very slow grader. I really don't recommend.

Overall, he was not a horrible prof but his lectures are boring as he goes on and on about things. We had very, very basic quizzes in almost every class (english grammar, sentence structure, etc...) however he has much higher standards for our final essay with very few instructions.

Overall, he clearly enjoys what he teaches, you HAVE to do the readings and attend lectures to pass. Went into the final exam with 3/8 marks for the whole term of assignments so don't expect to know how you're doing in the class. He provides no notes or visuals in lectures so make sure to take notes while he speaks.

If English grammar is not your thing, then this class will be hard to get through. Lectures are boring and repeat what's in the handouts. Quizzes and in-class assignments are easy, but he didn't give us a lot of them back so it was hard to know how we were doing. As someone who got high 90s in high school, prepare for a lower grade in this class.

He was nice and knows what he is talking about, hard to reach outside of class unless you went to office hours. It was clear how to do well, but not how to do great. Although knowledgeable, he takes an absurd amount of time grading any paper. By the time we were done lectures, entering exam season, he had only grade 10% of our final grade (1 singular assignment) making it difficult to know how you are doing in the course. Prof is very nice and it is really not difficult to do well in the class if you attend lectures, take notes, and know how to write a university level paper. Yes there are many readings, but it's a literature class, and the readings are very enjoyable. The prof prepared the class for exams as well by hinting strongly at what would be on it.

I enjoy the flexibility he offers with his online course, but it is a lot of readings. He posts all Zoom lectures, and is very accommodating to students. He is a great person, very friendly and funny, easily accessible for questions. My problem is not with the prof, but the class content itself!

I took this course because it was required for my program. The books he chose were relatively interesting but his lectures were completely unorganized, not really educational or informative, and be prepared for no help going into the final. Other ratings are harsh. He doesn't answer emails so go to his office hours (virtual or in person). Two essays felt like a lot but are due a month apart. Midterm and final are easy if you've gone to the classes. Pay attention and take good notes or you won't do well. You need to do the readings too but they're kids books so it's fun! Nice prof!

He doesn't understand diversity, having 3/10 of the course readings being written by women or people of colour. His lectures are extremely boring up until graphic novels, where he shows some excitment on the topic which was really engaging for students. Unclear instructions for assignments and then takes off tons of marks, making it difficult to get a high grade. Readings were interesting, but his lack of clear instructions left a bad taste in my mouth. Avoid this guy if you want a good grade.

Yes there's a lot of readings, yes he's not the easiest grader, however, Bradley knows his stuff and adds next-level depth and nuance to the readings. I suggest some familiarity with literary criticism is best before taking this class, as Bradley is more focused on taking up perspectives and evaluations of texts than on explaining how to do so
