Landis was by far the best professor I,ve had. I know way more after this class than I did going into this class. He uses real life situations to help you understand things. I feel like you can relate better to a professor like this.

Jamie was an awesome teacher! I was really dreading taking A&P 2 over the summer in 5 weeks, but he made the class very enjoyable. No matter who you have, A&P is a tough class, but Jamie is a GREAT teacher and really helps you learn the material. He tries to relate everything to real life situations, which at least for me made learning much easier!

A&P is a hard topic, but he presents the material in a clear and understanding way. Very friendly and will answer all questions fully. We had some pretty funny moments in class too and he has great stories! Sometimes he could act a little stuck on himself, but who isnt. I think hes the best A&P teacher LCC has to offer. highly recommended!

Dr. Landis is a wonderful instructor. He relates Microbiology to the medical field and doesn't just go through the textbook. As a nursing student, I found that very helpful. He makes learning fun - plain & simple. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

landis is the best professor at lcc by far. i was not very sure as a high school pseo student how i would be able to handle the class but he makes it fun and easy to understand. he would be willing to help you outside of class and find any answer if he did not know it. i recommend taking him for any bio class. thanks for everything landis

Very good teacher,if you need to take anatomy you have to take him or its not worth it. He'll help you and answer a question even if hes explained it 100 times already, while he does play favorites a tad bit hes good andhe knows his stuff

Dr. Landis is awesome. He is really helpful. Really funny and has a great way of teaching. He makes class fun & his stories (yep the stories about him) are always great (I love hearing them) They make you think. Even if its a sad story. Hes a big goof too. The more you get to know him, the hotter he is! : )

I do like Dr. Landis, there are a few down points though. 1 being I am not sure if he goes as in depth as he needs to. Its sort of a problem i had in his class, i was going for nursing and some of the other kids with other profs seem to know WAY more about the in depth stuff,ya he is smart but bragging dosnt get you anywhere.just something i notice

Dr. Landis is the best anatomy teacher you can have at Lakeland. He is very thorough on each topic and has a real desire for each student to succeed. There is no way that he doesnt go in depth enough because the students who fail from the other teachers take his class and understand the material better because his style is unlike anyone else

what did i walk with? the knowlege that there are exceptional beings out there who measure their success by the success of others. it is not a skill. it is one life lesson mastered. i am honored. my greatest compliment would be to learn as much as i can from him and take that knowlege into this world to teach others. I wanted to see some tears today when Jamie gave his good bye speech but he was able to hold them back. I will miss him as my professor, he taught me exactly what is important. I feel like I know something because of him. I wish he taught the nursing courses. He is honestly the most loved professor at this school. He should be Dean!

This is the third class I have taken w/ Dr. Landis. I learned so much from him! He is funny, serious about teaching, and really makes the content interesting. I am not really into micro but this class was one of my favorites! Sad that he is not teaching nursing classes. I will miss his teaching!

Landis is by far the best teacher who helps you learn in depth about the human physiology. if you have no interest in learning and just need a grade, take another teacher. Easy class, no homework and test questions are practically typed out for you. A lot of humor and creates a relaxed setting for learning! take notes and participate in class.

Jamie is by far one of the best professors that I have ever had! He is a MUST for A&P I & II and Micro. Don't waste his time if your not willing to study hard - EXCELLENT TEACHER!! It's rare to come across a professor that is so enthusiastic, intriguing and helpful with regards to the subject they're teaching! Jamie is the BEST professor I've ever had,he makes learning fun and exciting. I always looked forward to class and his interesting stories. Put in the time to study and review and you will succeed in his class.

His class is harder than most because he teaches and tests on more material and in more depth than most other teachers. His class is easy because his teaching style makes it easy to learn regardless of your learning style. He is always willing to go above and beyond to help his students to not only be successful but to stand out in their field.

jamie is the absolute best. he is very hard, but you will walk out of his class with more knowledge than other profs. he is willing to help out with subject matter however he can. jamie sets the standards for what a great teacher should be. very knowledgeable, and will make sure no questions go unanswered. i would highly recommend him!!!

Landis is a great guy, a great teacher... he cares soo much for his kids he bends over backwards for you. His style of teaching is soo different but it really hits what college kids need. He hard yeah, but health care is hard so it really prepares you. The guy is amazing, i really feel bad for the people who cant have him... You rock landis =)

Seriously, No other teacher in the State of Ohio has as many recommendations as lakeland students ranked him. He is an a remarkable professor who stops at nothing to ensure you study the important material. Fun teacher with funny stories from botulism to end of the world lady. He is LCC's Top professor with honors (honors class is in the works)

Landis wants his students to learn and he actually puts time and effort into his own teaching material. He also has lots of stories from his own experiance as a doctor. If you have to take A&P, you have to take it with Landis.

This professor is amazing! He practiced as a Doctor for years then left the medical field to raise his boys. That shows incredible charactor as a person. Lakeland is very fortunate to have such a knowledgable professor to teach A & P and other BIOL classes. His tests are not easy but you will learn a lot of info. He truly cares about his students!

The best teacher I have ever had! I have never been good at science but he teaches so well that I understand it. You have to study his notes. He doesnt really use text book. I didnt use the lab book at all. He teaches off his power points. Recommend 100 percent!

Landis made an abstract topic come alive with relevancy by having a complete understanding of the topic, as well as using useful and fun teaching strategies. I feel I have a very good understanding of A&P, in only five weeks. Yes, a lot of work (about 25 hours a week outside of class), but I earned a strong grade. No text necessary.

he was an excellent teacher. he really cared about his students and really thought about the best ways for them to learn. i am pretty sure he knows everything. once in a while you will stump him though and he looks it up instead of pretending he knows it like other professors. he is a great teacher- take him!

Landis has fine-tuned his teaching art so each student can meet his high expectations. His deep concern that everyone "gets it" is punctuated by his charisma, intelligence, unique humor, ability to instill confidence, anecdotal stories from the medical field, and effective teaching strategies that take the mystery out of an abstract topic. I posted once b4. Had him for both A&P I and now just finished A&P II with him. He is an awesome professor! He really cares about his students. Definitely recommend taking for the A&P series. Had a different teacher for part 1, wishing I had taken with Landis. Maybe I would have learned more. Makes learning the info easier by breaking it down to understand it. Tests are not "easy", but if you pay attention in class and spend minimal time outside of class, you'll do fine.

Landis was the best professor I've had so far. He teaches from a clinical perspective and absolutly loves teaching. He has allergies to all fragrances and loves to talk about good health. He has taught me so much over the summer and I'm so happy I took his class when I got the chance. Hes doing micro next summer too!

I love dr landis! Truely lucky to have had a seat in one of his classes for 3 straight semesters. (a&p1and2,micro) Really has a special way of teaching and helping you understand what's necessary. Equal relationships with each student and volunteers his time outside of classroom/school to offer guidance. You will learn and you will love his class!

Jamie Landis is by far the hardest teacher I have ever had. That being said, he was also the best teacher I have ever had. I went back to Lakeland just to take him. He is tough, but I still find myself quoting him today. You won't regret taking his class. He is the embodiment of a great teacher. I will never forget him as the best professor ever.

Dr. Landis is the definition of an outstanding teacher. If you are able to take his class, you will receive the most in depth lectures designed to help you succeed. He uses humor, personal experience, and repetition to get each student to pass. It is an incredibly difficult course and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to guide me through it.

Dr. Landis is fantastic, he really cares about his students and it shows in how he teaches. His lectures are long, but he makes them interesting by relating the topic to real world applications. He is a vault of knowledge, any questions relating to healthcare, he probably can answer. Be prepared to learn, and have fun doing it.

I highly recommend Doctor Landis. He is the best prof at lakeland hands down. I have take him 2 semesters in a row and Im even willing to take a night class just to take microbiology with him. If every professor could give half of the inspiration and care to the students that he does; the college experience would be perfect. He is the best professor that I have ever had of many.

I cannot explain the respect I have for Dr. Jamie Landis. I was lucky enough to snag a seat in his classes for the past three semesters (2210, 2220, 2700) He has a heart of gold and wants to see each student succeed. I wish all of my professors could be more like him. He is honestly the best. It will be so hard to leave him going into nursing.

Dr. Landis is the most intelligent, most caring person I know. He really tries to help his students succeed and is always taking questions. The class is hard, and you really should come to class or you'll be behind. He puts slides online, so you really don't need a textbook, but it's always good for extra source. I would definitely take him again!

Easy to pass if you study. Does not require textbook since he creates his own notes. He's very intelligent and he knows what he's talking about when it comes to his class content. However of all the words he knows, humble is not one.

Dr. Landis is an amazing teacher! He is caring, helpful, intelligent and relatable, and he should be proud of his accomplishments. He is so great at what he does that it pushes me to do my best in the class because I don't want to disappoint him and make him feel he failed as a teacher, because he is the very best!

Because of Dr Landis I've decided to go premed Literally the most inspirational person Ive met Being his student has given me much confidence in myself He absolutely luvs what he does and his students, his kids appreciate it more than he knows.

I've taken every class Landis offers. This was my last class I could take from him and I'm so sad because I know I'll never have another professor, friend, or school dad like him!! He sees the diamond underneath each student and he continually polishes it over each semester. Take everything he offers and give it your all, I promise its worth it.

There are no words to describe what an incredible professor Dr. Landis is. I had Dr. Landis for A&P as a CCP student, and it is because of him that I am now pre-med. Dr. Landis cares so much about all of his students, and he genuinely wants everyone to succeed in his class. I know that I will never have another professor as great as Dr. Landis.

Dr Landis is hands down the best professor I've taken at lakeland. He does everything in his power to make the class work for you so that you can understand the information. His ability to make us understand, laugh, and relate back to expierences made this class wonderful. I wish he taught nursing classes!

Dr. Landis is the best. He is honest and up front with his expectations, basically if you put in the work it's impossible to not succeed in his class. Another plus is not needing a textbook, he has his own power points. He is passionate about what he teaches and makes learning fun. I've taken 3 nursing pre-reqs with him and wish he taught more!

Micro w/ Dr. Landis was certainly different than our a&ps. It was a little more relaxed and easier to grasp completely (maybe bc I already took my a&ps so I had a good idea) . He is truly a blessing. Always there, whether it is school related or personal. Very grateful for the time and knowledge he shared with us. 350 characters isn't enough...

I can tell Landis was a great doctor and he is a very enthusiastic prof but this class was very hard because his notes lack details. I understand they're only outlines but it makes it difficult to go back if you don't understand something because 9/10 the notes won't help. His study guides are decent but don't rely on them for all test questions

Dr. Landis is laid back, reasonable, fair, and easy to approach. Test days start with what typically turns into a mini review, this is my favorite feature of this professor. I also like that he segments his tests, it makes studying more digestible, I also like the clinical applicable insight to the subject matter. He is genuine & enjoys his job.

I can not say enough good things about Dr Landis! He is caring, funny and wants everyone to do well in his class! He is awesome, DON'T take A&P or Micro with anyone else! He makes the material easy to understand and even splits tests into 2 or 3 parts to make the material easier to learn, can't wait for Micro with him in the Fall!

Dr. Landis is the smartest person I have ever meant. I had him last semester for A&P1 and finished A&P2 and Micro this semester with him. He is so passionate about teaching, and really cares about his students. Take him if you can, you won't regret it!!

Dr. Landis clearly has goals for all his students to find success. HIs study guides follow the notes and lectures, and his exams are written from those. His office door is open, and he is easy to talk to. Pay attention, study regularly, and ask questions (he answers & then asks if you feel helped). You can learn how to learn from this man.

Dr. Landis is the best professor I've ever had. He is genuinely interested in the subject, and will do whatever it takes to help willing students to succeed. His teaching methods address all different learning styles, and he teaches important points many times over to ensure students fully understand the material. I highly recommend his classes!

I'm so sad that this was my last course with Dr Landis! Had him for AP 1+2 and Micro and he is the most caring and genuinely nice guy I ever had! He wants everyone to succeed! Plus his office door is always open if you need help, He also does his best to make the material easy to understand, I highly recommend him! You won't regret it!

By far the best professor I've ever taken. He makes a very detailed and troubling subject fun and easy to understand. He also relates topics to real-life situations we may encounter in the healthcare field. He uses a variety of learning tools to easily understand the material. The use of screen casts, blackboard, Powerpoints and schematics sketches

Dr. Landis is the best teacher that I ever had. I had him for 3 classes, A&P 1 and 2 and Micro. If they would let him teach another class at Lakeland I would take him. You will never find another teacher like him, he is irreplaceable.

Hard class no matter who you take. He's your best chance of passing. He puts effort into his lectures and makes them interesting. He gives you everything you need to be successful.

great instructor overall! grades tests right away, always happy, straight forward, & answer questions before the test. Utilize paper chase & practice questions to pass the test! study guide (to broad) he don't focus in on what's on the test but the whole PowerPoint SO STUDY EVERYTHING!!! Reword things on test but you can ask for clarification! GOAT

Dr. Landis is the best teacher you will ever have in your life. You will never meet a teacher that cares about your success and wellbeing more. Amazing lectures, makes the hardest of concepts easy. Loves to teach, overall amazing guy. I'm assuming the negative comments written on here were by the people who sat on their phones the whole class...

Dr. Landis is amazing. He makes sure people understand everything and will teach the concepts multiple times with different teaching styles so everybody understands. He posts videos of explanations, makes his own notes, and loves when people ask questions. Very funny and kind hearted. If you study and listen and take notes you will do fine.

Dr. Landis is the one of the best professors I've ever had. He is an MD/PhD so relates things back to clinical experiences which is GREAT for Healthcare majors. He is a gifted TEACHER, not just someone standing there talking at you, presenting facts. It is not hard to get that needed B for nursing if you put forth the effort. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Landis is a legend at Lakeland! Don't think you'll walk out of his Micro with an A without studying. It's totally possible to get an A, but you'll work for it! The tests get harder as the class goes on, so do your best right from the start! You'll benefit from Dr. Landis' clinical knowledge. He's very entertaining. Fun class! A cool guy.

Highlights & reiterates common threads. Teaches in a straightforward way that u can memorize, but also conceptually so if u study well you get a true understanding. Wants you to get it and all the points!! Take his class!!
