Took online Biology after failing Biology w/Lab with Professor Grogan. Ms. Prusak is great. The quizzes are easy as long as you read the chapters. The assignments were doable. The discussions were fun. She responds to emails fast. Great Professor and great class!

I took it as an elective online during the summer. I'm glad I did! Just read about two chapters a week, do the discussion, take the quiz, and you're sorted. I got an A.

If you read the assigned material and put some thought into your work the class is easy. She is organized to perfection so there is no guesswork on due dates or expectations. Friendly and supportive with good critiques. Very good experience.

Pretty self explanatory. Grades harshly on discussions. Discussions have to be done a specific way to get at least a B, and they count as 60% of your final grade. Tests are a breeze if you read the material.

This was a session A class, discussions on line,quizzes on line, you need to do reading assignment. Very interesting class, if you do the assignments on time and study quizzes and lecture notes you get a good grade. Professor is always available for assistance. Taking it for a single session wasn't that difficult.Recommend this class and professor.

Class was fairly easy, Mrs. Prusak is really kind and caring. Would definitely recommend her. This class is a great alternative to the typical science classes for this science requirement.

Mrs. Prusak was an overall good teacher. I made the mistake of thinking the class was so easy that I didn't study for the midterm and bombed it. Even with that happening, I received a B+ in the class. If you do all the quizzes and discussions online and prepare for all exams, you'll do great! Definitely recommend her!

I took Human Biology. She's a great professor. Really nice and gives a lot of homework, but the homework is easy because you just have to read the chapters and take mini quizzes. It's a very hands on class and was really neat because we got to make clay organs for a manikin which helped me a lot when learning all the systems.

Great professor - loved the class. If you pay attention you'll pass. She goes over all of the exams which is really helpful. My favorite class, so far.

Very clear when doing lectures. Easy labs that make sense and help students understand content. Took a bio class before this and dropped it from failing, took this class and got a B without trying. Weekly quizzes and labs. Mostly clear and easy tests, got Bs on most without studying. Lab exams along with chapter exams.

This teacher is very helpful and is very clear about what she is teaching and how she teaches. If you have a question she is always there for help and never underestimates your ability to answer for yourself therefore she doesn't just give you the answer she actually helps you to understand and for you to come up with the answer. She is an awesome!

Group post every other week and requires you to post then reply to 2 people. all on different days so min 3 day requirement. Post are interesting topics, don't forget work cited she will take off points. quizzes allow 3 attempts but the score is the average of those 3. Chapter tests are unlimited attempts so youre guaranteed an A. Easy class!!

When it came to the exams, there were some trick questions, but that is to be expected. I learned more than I thought I would, and actually enjoyed challenging myself.

Very good teacher, gives a lot of extra credit and she drops lowest test scores and replaces it with final if its higher. Quizzes and Homework is all done online. Would recommend to anyone.

Overall, very good at responding to any e-mails about concerns you may have. The course itself has challenging information to cover, but exam reviews are given and papers are graded and returned within a good time window. Although, the weekly online homework and quizzes can be time-consuming if you don't pick up on subjects easily.

Professor Prusak gives many opportunities to conceptualize the material presented; she teaches using videos, applicable "real-life" scenarios, and utilizes models as well. If you are a hand's on learner, this is a great class for you. Would definitely recommend reading the textbook along with attending lectures to ensure an A.

Professor Prusak is a wonderful woman, and is really kind and amazing, and the work is interesting and fun. That being said, this class was so hard, it made me decide to never take a Biology course again. While the subjects were fun, the tests were terrible, and done in the testing center which is completely unnecessary, and makes it hard to pass.

Professor Prusak is a wonderful professor that really cares for her student's success. She takes the time to explain what a concept means when students asked. She offers small extra credit points and is willing to replace a bad exam grade if your final exam grade is higher than the exam that you did not do so well on.

Professor Prusak is such a great professor, really cares about her students. She is more than willing to sit with you and find ways to help you study. I recommend this professor 100% take her and you will not regret it. She drops the lowest test grade at the end of the semester if your final was a higher grade. Test are hard!!

Dr. Prusak is a great professor who offers a litany of tools to use for studying. The only suggestion I have is to show up to class because if you miss a lab, there is no redoing it for full credit. In class test reviews are helpful for exams. Last two exams were definitely the toughest. Easy to get an A if you don't expect things handed to you.

One of the best teachers at Valencia. If you have the chance to take her, do so. She is thorough/clear in her expectations & preparation for exams. PP lectures are straight out the book. If you have the option to take this course, take it!

She is respectful, caring and will take the time to make sure difficult concepts are clear. The book reading portion of the homework wasn't really necessary for me, but make sure you show up to class -she does a lot of extra credit points. Her reviews for the tests are excellent and if you know that information you will absolutely pass the test.

This course has a lot of material but Professor Prusak is extremely organized. Extra credit is provided for attendance, but you really do not want to miss a class because the lectures are so informative you will get a lot out of them. Homework assignments and tests are all listed at the start of the course and the chapter homework is very helpful.

Defiantly keep up with the chapters, if you fall behind it is difficult it catch up, the labs and homework are easy but when it comes to the tests they can get tricky. She is a very nice lady and is always willing to help and engage in class work. Shes not to tough on attendance but it will show on your grade since you are missing work.

Let me start by saying Biology is not an easy course, a lot of material to cover in various areas. But Prof. Prusak shows that she really cares about how you do in her class. Her labs are very layed back, with several check off's throughout the work. She tries to change things up a bit to make it more interesting. I would take her again!

I took this class last semester I think. The professor is good at what she does, and I do extremely well on her tests. I wish her test reviews were more like her actual tests. Her assistant is just okay and helpful at times but, also makes you feel dumb sometimes also.

Professor Prusak is awesome! She grades everything fairly and there is a good amount of extra credit available throughout the course. As someone who struggles with taking exams I had to study a lot for the exams but it definitely paid off. Her reviews are detailed, she is always available to help and she is very specific in her expectations.

This was my second time taking this course because the professor I had the 1st time was horrible. She actually explains things to you like you are a student and not a biologist. She gives you reviews and goes over them in class and explains everything just like exam. I would not have passed this course if not for such a relatable professor.

If you have prior knowledge on biology, that will help you a lot in this class. Fast pace, 1-2 CH a week. Homework every week. 4 Exams and the final is cumulative (you will pass IF you pay attention to what the prof says when she is talking about the final, pay attention). A lot of labs but they r enjoyable. Two lab practicals.

Professor Prusak loves what she does and you can see that from her high passing rate. She gives you a lot of resources to get you to not only pass the class but to really understand what you're learning. You do have to work hard for the class because it is an intense class but as long as you do your part, she'll do her part to ensure that you pass!

Professor Prusak was hands down one of the best science professor I have ever had. She offers plenty of extra credit, and is a fair grader. On top of that, she is not only caring, but truly wants all of her students to succeed. You of course have to put in the footwork, but she doesn't make you jump through hoops to earn an A.

Mrs. Prusak provides excellent and valuable feedback to the learner when it comes to the understanding of rather complicated concepts. She also very efficiently plans out each class to ensure there is plenty of time to complete each lab / lab practical while maintaining the ability to instruct valuable course material.

Listen Kids, Biology isnt going to be an easy class no matter what teacher you have. That being said, Professor Prusak is a great teacher and extremely caring. I took her Bio 1010c hybrid class and was surprised that the work load was not that bad. Read the textbook, DO THE STUDY GUIDES, and you will do well.

Biology is a hard class in general but professor Prusak organizes the course so it doesn't seem overwhelming. There is homework one due every friday (easy) Labs are done in class and you sit in groups. I think i learned more doing the labs with my group than from lecture. Tests are hard and nothing like study guides so study study! not impossible!

Here is how the class will go down! she does extra credit some days, for the ones who show up on time. Labs are EASY and always done in groups! You can leave whenever once you finish the work of the day. She is hands on and makes things so EASY to comprehend! she cares about you learning. She cares about YOU in general. I love her! Professor Prusak has been one of my favorite teachers I have taken over the years at Valencia. She helps when you are struggling or confused and she has a clear schedule of what needs to be done and when. This class is not too difficult if you do your work and the study guides and pay attention. Definitely take her!

I took this class for the full term this summer. Prof. Prusak is SO nice and gives clear feedback after she grades your work, and after being in her class for a couple of weeks youll learn the expectations youll need to meet. A lot of my classmates struggled in this class (me too), but if you study for at least 2-3 hours/week, you can get an A!

Professor Prusak makes a tough class much easier. Bio isn't necessarily tough material, its all very basic, but its a lot of info in a short amount of time. This was by far my favorite college class I have taken. She gives great test reviews and gives extra credit for being on time. I would suggest making friends with your classmates though.

This was such an amazing class! Every Friday you will have an online (easy, multiple attempt) homework assignment due. Labs are easy and completed in groups. The best professor I've ever had! She really has a passion for teaching and the way she explains things are easy to understand. Study a lot, the chapter exams are kinda weird but if you study enough you'll pass. The labs are easy and fun. She has a lot of ways for you to practice in class and a lot of reviews. Amazing! I love Biology and I truly enjoyed her. She is so nice and the material is not that hard. She does in class reviews that you will complete with your table(group). Labs are in class and test are easy if you study and pay attention. If you have a hard time with Bio take her, she will make you better and you might even find that you like it.

Prusak makes sure you understand the material & is accessible outside of class. Heavy studying material but tries her best to shorten. a lot of extra credit. Labs in class, homework online, 2 lab practicals, 4 exams + a final. If you need extra help in biology deff take her. Also will drop lowest test grade for final exam grade if you scored higher

Prof Prusak is very understanding and does want you to succeed. She has a very clear grading criteria. I took Bsc101c and its repetitive work. About 3 hw assignments a week, weekly labs, 5 exams throughout the semester, 2 practicals, some EC. Her exams are hard and broad but if you study the practice exams youll be fine. must show up to pass!!!!

The test is a lot of your grade. Don't miss labs and do well on them, they are easy but can make little mistakes she will mark you wrong for. She gives extra credit for lab practicals. In this course professor, Prusak is very helpful when you need any help with any of the topics. this course is rigorous and it is important to stay up to date with the readings, but it is definitely not impossible. The best part is that you don't have to pay for a textbook for this course and it is very helpful!

Take professor Prusak! The workload for an online class is easy, with a quiz each week that you can take 3 times, 9 labs that can be long but have clear instructions, and discussions and 5 exams periodically. The textbook is free and helpful as well as her PowerPoints. Easy class if you put effort into it.

Really enjoyed taking biology 1010C Hybrid mode with professor Prusak. She has a clear syllabus & makes sure that you have all the sources you need to pass her class. This course consist of 9 Labs and 4 Exams, which are 30% of your grade along with, weekly progress checks , pre lab on some labs and one final exam. if you stay on track you'll pass

Overall Professor Prusak made biology easy to digest and understand. Each week a lab, and a chapter quiz are due. There are four exams plus a final, and two lab practical's. Labs can be challenging at times, but she is there to answer questions if you have any. I would take her class again.

I'm not a fan of Biology, but taking it with Prof. Prusak was great. PLUS THE TEXTBOOK IS FREE!!! As long as you keep up with the readings assigned you'll do fine.

This class wasn't easy but it is a biology lab class so its not supposed to be. Compared to other people I've talked to, professor Prusak is the best. She teaches in a way you can understand, the homework actually prepares you for the tests and so does the classwork. Again not easy but pay attention to the work and class and you'll be good.

Weekly progress check quizzes (15%), assignments (15%), 5 discussions total (25%), 3 exams (30%), and final (10%, 100 questions). Workload was very manageable and assignments/progress check matches with the online textbook which you need the access code for to access the work.

This is a good professor to take if you're nervous about taking bio for the first time. A lot of homework, but the labs really help you to understand each section. A lot of extra credit can save you on the lab practicals. Overall, I took mixed-mode but great professor and an easy class to take.

I was in mixed mode so we would do progress checks online ( not hard at all 2 a week!), and exams at the end of the lesson online. She was really helpful and responded quickly to emails. Be ON time to class because she does extra credit and it is added to lab practical which you will have 2 for the semester. Take her you won't regret it!!

Be prepared to put in the work but Professor Prusak is very clear on expectations and deadlines. Lectures are more of reading off of PowerPoint slides so I didn't feel like I learned in depth about the subject but I learned enough to have a moderately good understanding.
