Very fair teacher (although my grade states otherwise, fault of mine). uses the textbook ALOT. good sence of humor. she loves what she does and you can tell. shes very easy to understand and takes her time to make sure every understands the material.

I loved her. I suffered parallysis in my legs and was out for two weeks. I had given up the class and the day I came back to withdraw from all classes her email asking where and how was I made me reconsider. I finished with a B+. I am happy I stuck with her class and sorry I could not get in her Fall 2011 class.

Took her American History course 1 and 2 and she's an amazing professor. Clearly loves history and makes you interested as well. Because of her class i'm now looking forward to majoring in history. She's very inspiring. It won't be an easy class there's alot of material but she makes everything really clear.

She is THE PROFESSOR. She explains with clarity and also is passionate about students' progress. It is tough to prepare for the in-class writings and quizzes, but it is worth it. If you want to learn history, than definitely take this class! It will be very helpful for your improvement.

Teacher is super hard. If you are looking for an easy A this is not the teacher. She cares about her work. She accepts no excuses or any games. Ive seen kids get kicked out the class for plagiarism. Shes strict but teaches well. Lots of reading and quizzes. Be ready for a challenge. Im in the class still fighting to up my grade.

She is the best professor in BMCC. I'm so glad I took her class. I learned so much. BTW she is not an easy A. However, anything that comes easy isn't worth having.

She is an amazing professor, one of my favorites! Her lectures and notes make it so clear and easy to understand. She communicates so clearly you know everything that is expected. She is very passionate about teaching and making sure you do well. Her grading helps all kind of learners so you can pass the class. If you do the work you can pass.

My personal experience with Prof Warren was excellent. She is a very informative and helpful Prof. Her style of teaching keeps you stimulated and interested in any period she is teaching. I wish more prof. at BMCC had her enthusiasm. If you are a lazy student or undisciplined do not take her. Even better don't attend college. Get a job instead.

She is a very good teacher, and is very helpful to the student. the class is based on reading the text. Her exams are multiple choice, short answers and essay. She is very nice and anyone complains either want everything handed to them or does not want to put in work other than that anyone can pass

Great Professor Overall. She really knows what she is doing but she gives a lot of work. He test are hard but if you study and pay attention in class you will be alright.

You have to keep up with weekly readings, and the quizzes are online on your own time. Just study for exams.

Best professor at BMCC. She spells everything out for you the first day. Show up, don't be late, read the textbook, participate and you'll do well. Anyone who has anything negative to say are just mad because they thought this would be a blow off class. Unlike most history classes, she makes it interesting and relevant to whats going on today.

Professor Warren tries to be fair, even if she is not easy. I took her for fall of 2011. At first, I thought I was not going to catch up in her class. However, I pushed myself in her class, passing it in the end. She is one that does not play, but she is not mean at all. I would recommend her for History 1, and I plan to take 2 later under her.

One of the best professors at the college. Amazing, highly helpful, and entertaining. Those who don't like clearly don't care to be slightly challenged. It is college, it's not going to be easy all the time.

Warren is an amazing professor and super cute to boot. She makes learning history fun,and interesting. I took her writing intensive course which proved to be challenging, but if you keep up with your readings,weekly quizzes, and show to class, the material sticks with you. I highly recommend her class and plan on taking other courses she teaches.

Best professor I had at BMCC. Very different from almost all professors I had as she actually cares and wants you to learn. Forget about not doing anything and passing, thank god there is still someone from whom to learn. Very passionate and genuinely cool. I wish I had known her before. If you believe in education don't hesitate.

Study hard and learn things, it's not an easy A. Full of content,speaks a clear English. This is a writing intensive class, she asks us to hand in one easy through the semester and revise it, I got B+ first, and got A after revised it. She is objective towards history. Though it's hard,as a new immigrant,I got a A. Don't be afraid of hardworking.

Professor Warren is one of a kind. PLEASE take any of her classes, but her classes on gender are a special treat. Her classes will be difficult for anyone not willing to THINK; she teaches texts from philosophers, anthropologists, sociologists, and other academics. No textbook. Very thought-provoking. She is the most dedicated teacher at BMCC.

Professor Warren is amazing! She makes history interesting and easy to understand. The only thing is, she gives a lot of reading and writing assignments but the interesting class makes it well worth it. You will not get a good grade without doing the readings.

The class is extremely easy if you already have knowledge of history. I barely used the book and received an A. I got the grade mainly because I participated and challenged her instead of agreeing with her on a vast majority of topics. Speak up in her class if you want the A.

Professor Warren knows what she is teaching. Her class is not easy but if you pay attention and do your readings and study you will do fine. I got an A- for the course.

First of all she never gives pop quizzes. They are always weekly after ever reading you do in her class. She's a great lecturer and explains everything very thoroughly. If ever you're confused about something, you can easily talk to her after class or set up times to meet. She's probably one of the friendliest professors I've ever had too.

Amazing experience. I am really happy that I took Prof. Warren's class. She gave extra credits and time to work on the papers and revise them. I learned a lot, and it was fun. I signed up for every class Prof. Warren teaches because I so enjoyed the initial required history class I took with her. She genuinely cares about her subject and her students - seriously, she made me re-think my English major because of how fired up she got me about history. You are truly lucky if you wind up in her class. One of a kind.

Love her! I had the privilege of taking 2 of her classes. Ant 210 last year and a his125 class in 2014. She's a great teacher one of the best. Best Professor I have ever had. I honestly cannot write as fast as I wish I could which is awful because nearly everything she says is gold. The class has radically changed my perception of the world around me. Its been wonderful having a teacher who is passionate about her profession. Glad she's personable as well It positively adds to the class.

Amazing at what she does, it's rare to meet people who actually care about what they're doing as much as she does, definitely recommend taking any class she teaches, you're going to learn and you're going to want to learn properly

You will receive many readings handouts any of her classes that you take. You'll usually have a quiz once a week on these readings. You'll receive a study guide for the midterm and final which are never as difficult as you amp them up to be. Her lectures are brilliant. Check out her ThinkOlios. She is an amazing professor, I took her class for roles of women in society and honestly, it's amazing. She's one of those professors that is really passionate about what she does. I've learned so much seriously take her you won't regret it.

I took the Roles of Women in today's society for the credit and this has become my favorite class. This course has open my eyes and has taught me to become a better reader when reading difficult text. Professor warren is very passionate and I hated her no cellphone policy but I totally get it now and appreciate it because it helps to really focus!

Prof Warren is probably one of the few professors who actually gets it. The burden of being a student in the modern-day education system. Yes, you get quizzes every week but it's an open book. She gives plenty of extra credit works too. If you want to study under a prof who inspire, encourage and cares about you then take her class!

I love this woman! I took her online class and visited in person once. Always accessible, online lectures super interesting, clear grading criteria, doesn't make material complicated, is very friendly, gives extra credit. Inspires you to think and takes HIS to a whole new level. She also shows her dog in lectures which is super adorable! TAKE HER!

The exams cover A LOT of things. You need to really know specifics. It helps to study with the outline provided by Prof. Multiple Choice Questions and some short essays, but interestingly, some of the tricky answers didn't match historical facts. I emailed Prof. about it but did not get any answer on the matter; however, I got A so all good haha

i took her pre-covid and in person. shes the best professor at BMCC. extremely smart & well read, exposes you to the REAL history of the USA and doesn't hold back. I was SO engaged in her lectures, she is a slavery historian and will seriously blow your mind. shes caring and a generous grader, makes sure you really understand.

The professor is very nice there weren't too many assignments to do the quiz was open note the midterm was a bit annoying having to do an oral exam other than that she was pretty cool take her.

She was an amazing professor in terms of content covered and passion. The lectures were always informative and I looked forward to them! Her knowledge of American history is incredible and isn't whitewashed. I will agree with the other reviews that her time management is poor and she is fairly unreachable. She responds but no follow through.

My case is unique as she was going through a lot during my time with her, but I respect that she owned up to her own mistakes and never made it our problem. As in blaming us. The work is clear and as long as you do your work, you'll be fine.

Her lectures are informative. Her lectures were like podcasts very insightful. Take good notes.

Honestly shes a little hard to reach outside of class, but her lectures are mind opening. She will work with you if you need to resubmit work.
