Professor Namdari is an amazingggg professor. His teaching skills are number one. He does have a bit of an accent though he makes himself as clear as possible. He's midterms are a little bit tough though doable. I would recommend this professor to anymore that needs to take this class. He is very caring and always on top of grading.

This class was graded based on 9 quizzes, 2 midterm, and a final. They're fairly straightforward, but the problems is they're out of 8 or 9 questions so if you miss just one your grade drops substantially. His lectures are pretty straightforward but not very engaging, he never really responded to student questions during lecture or on Piazza.

I took this class for STA13 for fall quarter, there are weekly quizzes that have about 10 questions. The discussions with your TA cover questions that are similar to the quizzes. The midterms are graded harshly because it is only out of 12 questions. The prof didn't help out w/ COVID. He also didn't care about having a quiz the week of a midterm.

Professor Namdari is an overall nice person. He posts lectures and resources on time but only those attributes don't make a good instructor. ONLY quizzes and tests count towards your final grade and you can say goodbye to grade curves. One quiz and attempt per week, most fewer than 10 questions, being practically impossible to receive A's for them.

I thought Professor Namdari explained things very concisely, nothing redundant, everything in lecture was to the point. You do need to know most of what he has gone through, although the content isn't hard and neither are the exams. He is more considerate than these reviews give him credit for. Just review the handouts and you'll be set.

Awful professor. His lectures were all over the place and his handwriting was hard to read. Also, he did not bother to curve the class. The homework was difficult and time-consuming but only worth 10% of your grade. The exams were brutal and graded harshly. He didn't seem to have any compassion towards the class.

It is all about math computation. He just wrote down everything on the textbook and add some explanation. Thus, the logic is not clear at all and the lecture is not inspirational. You will be fine on test if you read notes and do the hw. But if you truly want to learn something useful, avoid him. His class is like a test prep.

9 quizzes lowest dropped (20% of grade ), two midterms (25% each), and a Final (30%). Textbook was optional: homework only served as practice and was posted on canvas. The midterms have few questions but made up a lot of the grade; they require scrupulous attention. The professor posted recordings of lectures and was helpful in office hours.

Namdari is one of the worst profs I've had. I passed the AP stats test in high school & got As both semesters but struggled in this class. I felt like all of my prior knowledge in stats was useless. Most people I know struggled as well, & when this was brought to his attention he didn't really do anything. He doesn't explain things well at all.

Listen to the reviews I took AP Stats which I know will be different to a college course but this was so hard. It would be better if there were more things in the grade book, homework is optional but that means only quizzes, midterms and final go in grade so they're worth so much. Would not recommend. :(

Definitely have to work to do well in this class, but overall fine. Some content was confusingly taught but if you put in the work and practice, you'll eventually understand. Tests and quizzes weigh a LOT so if you miss one question, your grade is affected significantly. Lots of students struggled. Straight forward organization of the class, though

There is little to no leeway for for error in this class. There are nine quizzes and the lowest one gets dropped. You should expect 6 to 12 questions on the quizzes. The quizzes are 20% of your grade. The midterms are each worth 25% and the final is 30%. The homework is optional but if you do them you should most definitely get an A on the quizzes.

Lectures were boring & unenthusiastic and concepts behind the math were barely explained. Was hoping to learn about stats but ended up simply copying calculation steps.

I might be the exception but my biggest issue is the amount of content being thrown at students that is expected to be learned, and understood from this class. The concepts are interesting but the whole time I felt I was cramming the material instead of given a moment to understand the content that the class offered. Maybe I'm just dumb, idk.

Namdari is the best Stats professor ever. The reviews that are negative are false since the class is easy to understand. He is a great professor, very clear in his teaching and fair in his assignments. He tells you exactly what you need to know for the quizzes and midterms.
