She is a very intelligent woman who knows her stuff. She is incredibly helpful and is a truly amazing person--very passionate about her subject. I don't recomend buying the book though, I didn't use it, she gives great notes in class. It's a really great class!

She is a wonderful instructor: very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and helpful. I highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in taking a psychology class. She has a unique perspective on the science that makes the material interesting.

Loved her and the class. very nice and understanding. at first she seemed weird but she's just different. she gives easy projects. a lot of simple art but fun. show up to class and you'll pass.

Great class. The abnormal psyc book was pretty hard to understand but luckily the teacher gave us extra credit. Do all the extra credit and you should do fine in this class. Don't be overwhelm by the number of post you have to do, it's only 15! good luck everyone and have fun.

BEST TEACHER EVER! This lady is awesome and easy. she makes the class a lot of fun and she is pretty funny. I completely recommend her for psyc 100. (especially the summer session)she is layed back and loves to communicate with her students. she only looks for the good things in your work and wont kill your grade for the bad.

This is the most boring class. She doesn't even teach psychology.. It's more of spiritual health class. I guess if you need the credits take it easy A, if your a psych major take someone else.

The book was pretty easy to understand. The extra credit helped because I got an A in the class. Also, do the essay if you don't then your grade will be lowered. The essay is not that hard but it has to be oringal. So good luck!!

Professor Jan is a breath of fresh air. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of class with her. It was incredible listening to her lectures as she was so into what she was talking about, she actually brought you into the lecture without you having to do anything but listen. Her energy was great and she was so fun to listen to and learn from.

As long as you show up in class and do the mimimum work , you will get an A

haha, ditto on the last comment! Easy A. Her tests are very straightfoward and simple. Pay attention to what she covers in class because reading the book just wont do. She allowed us to partner-up for the final. Never saw that coming, but boii.. did that boost our grade!

I just took her 8-wk course for the spring semester and she is AMAZING! she's not boring whatsoever, she keeps us interested. Her tests are all partnered up. As long are you come to class do the work she expects then it will be an easy A! BESTTT teacher I ever takened @ Golden West. She's inspirational! TAKE HER!!!

If you don't get an A in her online Abnormal Psy class, there's something wrong with you! She lays everything out for you from day 1. Easiest A, hands down.

She is the greatest teacher that there is! I took her Abnormal Psychology 158 online and it was the best experience. If you do all the bulletins, readings, and everything else..then you will be fine!

No need to buy book. Some of the answers R online in powerpoint notes. Just follow her lectures. She give tons of extra credit points. DO discussions online & speak your mind & say whatever & get the easy points. I got about 40 extra credit points, but u still have to do all the other EASY work to make all the extra credit count. Attendance counts

I took her Abnoral Psych online class. It's not very hard at all. She gives a ton of extra credit. You have to take a few short quizzes, post on the bulletin board & do a paper. The paper sounds confusing at first but if you e-mail her, she'll explain to you exactly what she wants. If you don't get an A in the class, its because you didn't want to.

Professor Mendoza is a really AWESOME! She presents the material really well and the class is not hard because you find that you actually want to participate, it's FUN! If you have to take a psych class I highly recommend taking this one.

I took her class online. It seemed like there was alot to be done but it wasn't impossible. She gave tons of extra credit. The only thing she stresses is to stay consistent with your postings; she had good feedback to say. Take her and you won't regret it. If you don't get an A that means you didn't really want it.

She gives lots and lots of extra credits, make good use of them and pay attention in class +regular attendance,you will surely get an A. The activities in class are diversely-organized, very interesting. She is full of enthusiasm, very nice and helpful; you will receive a very detailed and thorough reply to your every mail very quickly.recommended!

Jan Mendoza can be desribed with one word...HIPPIEISH lol She is wack and I believe 90% of the time she is high as a kite. She is somewhat insane, but very easy and chill enough. If you want that easy pass take her. She actually is pretty nice overall and cool I guess.

Easy A. Open book/note and partner test. I did what she assigned, slept in the lecture halls, and half-assed my "Behavior Change Project" by doing it the night before with no graphs/charts. Attendance is "mandatory" because of attendance cards, very easy to get around. Mediocre class, easy easy A.

Jan is such a sweet teacher. She was very helpful and as easy as this class was I actutally learned a lot with her. Participate and communicate with her, she likes that. I'm a psych major so I really enjoyed this class and her as a professor. Take notes, you'll need them

Took Ab psych online and it was a really simple class. All you have to do is post a discussion every week and take quizzes which are really straight forward. Highly recommended class for easy A.

Extremely nice lady and very helpful. She loves teaching and it shows. I enjoyed her class and the tests are open book/notes. Gives lots of extra credit, so there's no reason not to get at least a B in the class but an A is very doable. Do yourself a favor and take her :)

By far one of the best professors I have ever had. She's so nice & genuinely cares about her students. Class consisted of 3 exams, a behavior change project, & inventories. She likes talking to her students after class & gives out tons of extra credit. Exams r open book & u can use ur notes. If u want an easy A I highly recommend taking her

Online class was very organized and she was very clear on what she expected out of students. Prof. Mendoza was very helpful and willing to help out students who needed it. Took this class online. Very fun and easy. Requires a medium-high amount of time consuming work. Lots of discussions and an easy research paper. I enjoyed this class since the topics were interesting and I also received an A.

Easy and interesting class. The only way not to get an A is to do poorly or not turn in the CIP project. Plenty of extra credit and the professor responds very quickly to emails. Just apply yourself and you should do fine.

Easy A. Honestly you'd be so dumb not get an A. Open book test, you can use all the notes. I would recommend talking notes when she writes on the board. Rarely used the book. Offers a bunch of extra credit. H.w is basically true/false, and fill in the bubble stuff; which takes less than 3mins.

Professor mendoza is IS AMAZING. Not only is her class very easy & manageable, she is very hands on & genuine. I love her personal comments to our discussion posts. Weekly discussions, weekly quizzes, 1 research paper + A TON OF EXTRA CREDIT (No exams!!) TAKE HER FOR PSYC 255!!

This is a rather easy class. Weekly quizzes are easy and solely based on textbook, so are discussions as long as you put some thoughts into them. The prof is a very fair grader and will give lots of extra points if you show some effort. Definitely take this class for Psych 255!

Jan is the best professor I've! I took her psych 255 class and it has been on of my favorites by far. She is always posting announcement on what to get involved in and always gives feedback when she grades assignments. She is very clear and very helpful. So glad I took her class. Highly recommend her! (Easy A if you do your work)

I just finished taking professor Jan's online abnormal psychology class. She is one of the nicest professors i ever head. There are no tests in the class but you are required to turn in a big project in order to pass the class. At the end of each chapter there is a quiz but they are only 15 problems and pretty simple. Easy A.

Jan Mendoza is great! I took her Abnormal Psych class at GWC and she gave excellent feedback on everything. The CIP project was a little confusing, but she ill clarify. There is a lot of discussion board stuff, do you have to stay on top of it, but the topics are super interesting. Good class!!

professor mendoza litterally gives you an easy A. most assignemnts are easy and can be done in 5 minutes. She made us do a group presentation. also my final was cancelled. I got 100% plus more points. you probably wont learn as much in this class but its definitely an easy A if u try. attendance mandatory tho

Professor Mendoza is very passionate about whatever she is teaching! She really wants everyone to pass her class with a good grade. She offers A LOT of extra credit and all her tests are open book/notes! Just do the inventories and Kognito and you're guaranteed an A in the class. Class can sometimes be long and boring but it is bearable.

The 8 week class was great. Very straight forward in grading. She is very particular on certain things so dont make the same mistake twice.

This was probably the best online 8 week class i have taken! She responds to your emails very quickly and is constantly keeping the class on task with reoccurring announcements. She is extremely helpful and there are no tests or quizzes! The class is very manageable and I was actually able to learn something. Tons of extra credit!!!

Dr. Mendoza really cares about the success of her students! If you put effort into your assignments she will reward you for it, especially for the CIP project. The online course is primarily student taught, however the textbook and concepts are pretty easy to understand. Very easy A, but you do have to work for it

Prof. Mendoza's class uses several modes learning: online activities, e-book, quizzes & videos to earn your grade. She also gives opportunities to earn extra credit. She provides a clear syllabus and communicates in a timely matter. If you complete the work, on time and do the requirements, it is easy to obtain an 'A'.

Best Psychology professor by far! Love her and would take her again! Provides resources for extra credit! LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT! You would have to try really hard to fail this class!

Professor Jan is a good professor. I took her PSYC 100 8-week course over the summer and she made lectures very interesting. Also, I took her PSYC 255 course although it was online you do learn if you actually take the time to read and understand the material. she answers back to emails right away her communication is good. Best professor at GWC !!!

Super easy!!!!! I can't believe if anyone receives the grade that lower than A!!! She is so sweet, and she is always ready to help even though it is online class. The weekly assignment is not heavy, and there is a final paper. She provides a lot of extra credits!! Weekly quizzes replace the exam. Easy and relax! Take her!

I took Jan's class for Abnormal Psychology online and just loved her. She was all about just learning the material but made you be apart of the class. She was easy to reach and tried her best to accommodate every student. But she does expect you to try and know the material.

Great teacher for online! Gives all the assignments the first day of class so you could work as slow or as quick as you want. She does like giving feedback and loves when you reply to her comments. She loves to make you feel like you're not alone with any psychology issues you think you may have.

She gives LOTS of extra credit even for things that you didn't really deserve extra credit. Her quiz questions are from quizlet and are really easy. There are no finals or midterms. This is the easiest college class Ive ever taken. She gives you a TON of extra credit just for doing your work. No tests, midterms, or final, and all quizzes are open note. Only 5 discussion posts, 11 Clinical Choices, 16 open note chapter quizzes, 1 psychological disorders inventory, 1 creative investigate project, and 3 Kognito trainings.

Professor Mendoza offers a lot of extra credit! There are no exams or finals, but there are 16 quizzes for each of the 16 chapters, all of which are open notes but need the use of a lockdown browser! You'll also have to complete a project at the end! She also provides feedback on work/discussions I recommend taking her class!

She is very friendly and kind. There are interesting programs you will learn about. And one report to write. Quizzes are on the internet. Easy A!

I took Professor Mendoza's PSYC116 8 week course during the Fall 2021 semester and I thoroughly enjoyed it! She was very clear on what she expected from us. The topics were very interesting and relatable. Weekly quizzes and discussions, with a project at the end of the semester. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Great course and learned a lot!

This professor was amazing! The class was very fair, with discussion boards, and homework assignments. She gave extra credit opportunities and the discussions were very interesting and engaging! She is a very kind and compassionate woman, and I really recommend taking her class!

Her class isn't too difficult, but it's not too easy where you don't learn anything. I've learned so much from her and cherish all of her feedback. Hands down THE best prof at GWC! She was so helpful throughout the semester and truly wants all of her students to succeed. There were a few essays throughout the semester, weekly quizzes (proctored), a final project, and some extra credit opportunities. I never felt overwhelmed or that I would fail the class and always got great feedback.

Professor Mendoza is so sweet and kind. She offers multiple extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Her feedback on assignments are very clear and thorough so you will know what you need to work on or what you missed. Professor Mendoza gives students enough time to complete assignments. She usually gives students a week unless changed.

One of the best professors I have ever had and genuinely gives good feedback! Only thing negative is that you HAVE to pay about $100 for the online textbook and then you do all your assignments on another site instead of Canvas, but the class overall is super easy, she gives a lot of time to do assignments and communicates any changes right away

This class I have taken twice because the first time I barely participated and got a D but this professor is so kind and accepts late work for 2 weeks after the due date with no penalty, very understanding and easy assignments. The homework gives you the answers and there is only 1 essay at the end and a few discussion posts.

I absolutely love Professor Jan Mendoza. She is one of the sweetest, kindest, most supportive, understanding, and caring professors I've taken/met. She gives amazing, detailed feedback and is very communicative with her students. So much grace is given and so much extra credit opportunities too. I can't emphasize how much I adore this professor.
