She is great in teaching math. She is perfect for those who have trouble in math. She is always happy and very helpful. She also goes over everything step by step. She's very nice.

overall a very nice teacher, however she is very slow going through material, and kind of boring. Not a lot of homework assignments. If you are looking for an exciting class, dont take her.

Jan is just a really nice lady who knows a lot about her subject but isn't afraid to admit she's made a mistake. As a non-math student, I dreaded taking this course; she made it bearable, especially since she takes the time to explain things.

Very sweet lady!!! Always cheerful and very willing to help you. But it could be easy to fall asleep during class b/c she's quiet. However, her tests are short and if you understand during class, the tests will seem easy. Highly recommended!

What a professor. So clear and easy to understand. His discussions basically go over the reading assignments in such a way that you are not ever confused. He definitely wants his students to succeed and participate. Truly excellent.

She is the nicest lady. Take her class, all you have to do is follow along in class and you'll do well on all quizzes and tests! Pretty easy and she is sooo willing to help you...just go to her office! Nicest lady, take her class!

Very nice man. He only gives 2 short papers and 1 final. The man definitely knows what he's talking about. He is very concerned with student needs and shows much understanding.

Very good teacher...if you work, come to class, take the quizes, and do the readings you will definately get a B...work a little harder by actually studying for the final and you are guaranteed an A

Awesome teacher. Unless you are completely brain dead you will understand everything he says. He is not at all boring. Actually, quite the contrary. His lectures are very interesting and discussion is encouraged. All the dumb students who have ADD sit in the back and zone out.

Overall a mediocre class. She's a nice lady, but the lectures aren't that clear. Feels like she takes the scenic route on a lot of explanations when they're rather simple. Lots of homework given but none collected. Several quizzes, a midterm, a final, makes up your grade.

Easy class; do the readings; pay attention to his lectures and study the slides. His midterm and final for our class were based on the slides and from some of the readings. Very nice man and fair grader.

She is a really nice lady, but doesn't really know how to teach. She just re-does the examples from the book 4 notes. She knows her math, but doesn't really know how to explain it. She tries to explain it in a bookish way so nobody gets it. If u can teach urself, take her with caution.. If you have no calc experience DONT EVEN TRY TO TAKE HER!

yes he's very boring and many people fall asleep in his class, but he's a very lenient grader and will let you know exactly what he expects. the eight-page paper isn't as hard as one would think

BMS 126 can be a hard class at times, but she is more than willing to help anyone grasp the material. You just have to ask.

Professor Pranger is very knowledgable in the subject area. people who dont like her probably have bad math skills to begin with. at times her lectures were very boring, but she did a pretty good job of going over the material. go in for extra help if you need it, she will be more than happy to help. she gives quizes so u keep up with the material.

Wonderful teacher. Tested what she taught. Doing the assigned homework is highly recommended unless you are very good in math. It is not a hard class as long as you are willing to do the work.

Anybody saying that this teacher is hard is probably just a bad student. All of the homework questions she chooses are obviously done for a reason. The same questions are on the quizzes and tests. She even 'hints' (dead give-away) what material from class discussions we wil be tested on. If you ask her for help she will, just do it after class.

Totally grew on me! FAILED first quiz...wasn't happy, but worked my butt off and got my grade up (if final goes well, I should get an A) she REALLY liked that--would give me compliments! She's definitely got corny humor, but it's hilarious after awhile! Loves students who pay attention and have a good attitude. Class is hard regardless of teacher.

What a space cadet! Her aloofness was annoying at first but I learned to love her. The material's not that easy so you have to do alot of work outside class to really understand it.

Spent 1 whole class talking about thunder and the Red Line. Goes off on random subjects. Teaches well, but way out there.

She goes through the material step by step.I learn a lot in this class and I would take another class with her.

Despite all of the negative comments, Mrs. Pranger was actually a pretty good teacher. As long as you show up to class and pay attention, you should do well in the class. She makes the final 60% of your grade, but it was fairly easy.

She's a decent professor. The examples she uses are exactly the ones on her quizzes and tests. You have to study outside of class as well as pay attention in class. I don't think its her that sucks, the subject is just really difficult for a lot of people to comprehend in the short 10 weeks she has to teach it.

You might not like her at first, but at the end of the quarter you will love her! I am not a math person at all, but she was very good at explaining the concepts and helping me out with problems. She is a very fair grader. If you are slow in math and need help like i me, i highly recommend taking her classes. Also, no stupid online mathlabs!!!!!!!!
