Very interesting and outgoing professor. Very helpful with problems you have. Tests are not the easiest, can be tricky. Study her notes and you should do fine.

great teacher...she makes the work very easy...go to every class, takes notes (cause she will not provide them outside of class) and you got an A...she's young so she can relate to us as college students (like not giving exams or finals right before the holiday breaks)

She's young, nice and clear about the work that needs to be done for the class. Go to every class and study the notes hard for the exams. The tests are not the easiest, but if you study the notes, there will be no suprises.

Very energetic, friendly, funny. Makes lecture fun. Tests can be a bit confusing and are somewhat tough, but she does a review session and will answer any question in advance. Wants you to succeed, and you will if you pay attention and take notes. - And you'll have fun doing it. If you take one PSYCH 100 class this year, take this one.

Blech? She's young, understanding, fun, and hilarious. She has actually inspired me to change my major to psych. She made it very fun and I definitely would recommend to take her class!

Prof. Weiner is a great professor. She's very clear about the subject and she makes it fun! Her exams are a bit difficult, especially the final! If you do consider taking her, you must show up in class every day and take excessive notetaking!

Best teacher i had all semester. She's funny and helps you with the work if you dont understand it. About 3 tests and only 50 questions a piece. No Homework and no research paper. THE BEST PSYCH 100 EVER

Says "Its not important" for almost every slide in her powerpoint presentations and then you get slammed on the exams. She seems to be nice tho. Dont be blinded by her looks, she may say "its not important dont copy it" but chances are itll be on the test

She is wonderful and passionate about helping anyone who is interested. Her fun teaching style inspired me to become a psychology major. If you want a really great psych experience, take her, you won't regret it!!

easy class - she is crazy hot and all, but you better respect her or she'll get mad pissed ... i've heard she's mean during office hours, but from what i see in class, she's really awesome

if you're taking psych 100 take her! she is young and fun.. lectures are interesting just write down everything she tells you to. you dont really need the textbook unless you plan on missing class. tests are easy. just dont talk in class..or she may get angry and make your test harder.

This teacher is awsome. Her lectures are really clear and interesting. She uses power points and has some funny video's. The test aren't difficult you just have to make sure you study and pay attention to her lectures. I recommend recording lectures. Though alot of info she knows how to make it fun. Most of the test questions are from notes.

She is a really fun and young teacher. Her notes are what the test is made out of. So go to class. But dont worry the class is really fun. She makes jokes and you cant relate to her. The tests are really easy if you study. Easy class.

I recommend buying the study guide for the textbook. You'll just need to pay attention in class and then do the study guide. I never even studied from my class notes and my lowest test grade was a 90

Attendance is mandatory in the beginning, but then she stops. Her notes are REALLY clear...never have to read the textbook. don't even buy it, you'll waste your money. just pay attention in class and you're set.

Easy class, no regrets. Attendance is not taken after the first week, but notes are crucial for test. Very nice, good looking, and gives curves on test wen necessary. Jan wiener, is an awesome teacher. She really keeps your attention while you're in class. it's really hard for you to fall alseep b/c she's so funny and her stories are interesting/scary.. at least for her sake. if you want to pass and not come to class and listen to lections, and refuse to read and still pull a B. Prof. Weiner is avery good teacher. She catches your attention so the material from class satys in your mind. I have no regrets taking her and I recommend to all those taking psychology 100

she was great and her class was VERY interesting. but dont piss her off! my class would NEVER shut up so she would get upset, but other than that i loved her class. her exams are multiple choice and the optional final contained questions from the other exams. from a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the hardest, her exams were a 5/6. TAKE HER!!!

Great professor....she's so cool cuz she's young and she knows how to relate what she's teaching to her students...

she was a great professor fairly easy course and fun as well

she is a GREAT teacher. she gives review before the test and she is very helpful. her classes are very fun and it is very hard to skip her class. she is young so she knows how you feel. fair grades and easy. attandence are mandatory for first few weeks and she doesnt care.

well, she is a great teacher. just listening to the lecture alone will help you learn alot, the only problem is, if you aren't taking notes, you won't know exactly what's on the test. a small portion of the notes she puts up are on the test, and it turns out that those small details you forgot about are on there too, so always pay attention.

Good teacher; she lectures well and is very smart. The problem with the class is that there are like 1 Billion students in it. Her tests are OK, and the class is not all that hard.

a good professor& explain everything clearly but alot of notes to take& i got tired of writing them.u have to move ur hand very fast or u will miss them.exams are from notes so no need to read textbook.sometime she say they wont appear on exam,dont trust her,they still appear. she also says attendance is counted but actually she didnt.she lie.

she is very nice and sweet, the class is very intro level and pretty easy as long as you pay atention.i attended all my classes, did minimal studying for exams, and i didnt even buy the text book, however i learned and got a good grade. this class is an easy A, but she'll tell you that herself.

Truly one of the best professors in the psych dept. at hunter. Always there to help with all questions..Shes young and easy to talk to because she goes out of her way to help us students. She is great. I defiantly recommend her. She makes the lectures extremely interesting and post everything on blackboard. Take Her class you won't regret it!!!

She's a great professor, makes the material really interesting and funny. She claimed that attendance is mandatory but never took attendance in class. She puts all the notes up on blackboard but you have to come to class if you want a good grade on the test, they're easy but you have to study. The questions are very similar to the ones in the text

Excellent Professor. Take her! She explains everything in detail and is very understanding. She will allow you to make up an exam IF YOU TALK TO HER FIRST AND GIVE HER A VALID EXCUSE. Love her. Her exams are mostly based on what she covered in the lecture. No quizzes and no surprise questions on exams. Easy A!!!

Very easy. All answers are in the slides which she posts online. If you study the slides you will ace the tests. There are four 50 question m.c. test that make up your grade. Very interesting class. Tells funny stories.

All the criticism of her is immature and way too harsh. She definitely wants all her students to do well. My class just did bad on the third test so she changed her policy and decided to drop the lowest grade out of four tests. She uses real life relateable examples when explaining complex concepts and makes class fun. She's easy to listen to.

Dr. Weiner (Jan, as she prefers) tests you directly from her slides. The catch is that she will teach you beyond the required level of understanding (you will thank her later). Text use was minimal, but the publisher's online quizzes* and study guides make for great practice. Her anecdotes are graphic, but effective! Great for pre-med/grad school.

Recipe for the easiest A in a 300 lvl class: don't buy the textbook and memorize the slides. There's no mandatory attendance, no paper, and 4 MC exams. She's not made of stone. She's responsive to emails. Downfall:no office hours, morning class and she speeds through lectures and ends up having the exams earlier than scheduled.

Great professor. Interesting lectures and great examples for every topic. Always had people laughing and engaged in discussion. 4 xams and 1 paper. Paper guidelines were vague but it was easy enough. Tests were straight forward but not super easy. Overall enjoyable class and recommended. you just have to be willing to study.

She made the 8am class worth coming to. I enjoyed the class, and the exams were easy if you studied for them well. I am hoping to get her for my other psych classes in the future!

She's really nice! Very helpful whenever you need clarification on something. Her lectures are really easy and you'll pass her exams if you go to lecture and skim through the textbook. She had a few questions that were from the book.

My first professor at hunter college and by far still my favorite. I took her for a summer class and although the work wasn't easy, her lessons were crystal clear. She used stories from her life and past experiences to relate her lessons to real life and I can guarantee not one student in that class minded waking up for 8am class in the summer.

If you show up to class everyday, pay attention and not sit on the back row refreshing instagram every other minute, you WILL pass with a (A or B+). She is not boring at all!, she includes clinical experiences, and answers questions. Most important - there is no accent, very fluent, NO HOMEWORK, just 1 paper, few exams and you actually learn.

Excellent abnormal psychology professor due to her ability to impersonate disorders well. She is an easy grader. You can very easily walk out with an A if you're an average student with housing and other essentials. She is also inspiring as a person and maybe a bit too optimistic : There is no better professor for ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY, at least.

LOVE HER. She makes the class so entertaining and is very into what she teaches. She gives concrete examples that will stick and her exams are straightforward and come completely from her notes. She'll also accommodate you if you ever need it. One of my favorite professors and I'll continue to take psych classes at Hunter.

Prof. Weiner is an amazing professor. Her lectures are really interesting. No attendance taken. 3 partial exams plus partial final exam. Only one paper at the end of the semester. She uses life experiences from her therapy sessions (she doesnt mention real names) throughout the course which makes everything even more interesting.

This class is VERY exam-heavy. there's 4 exams and a 5 pg research paper. 1 of the good things was that the slides were posted on BB. Each test was 50 questions MC & they were hard! She also never answers e-mails so ask your questions after class if you can. Though, she tells good stories (w/o names) to help nail down concepts which was helpful.

Easy class just make sure you do not mess up on tests because she only counts 4each 25%. Tests get progressively harder and some stuff isn't on her powerpoints for the last exams. So for those study the textbook or get like 4 questions wrong. Memorize the slides and you're guaranteed at least 92-4 on the exams.

Loved this class so much! Her lectures are incredibly interesting and her class was the highlight of my semester. Definitely study before tests because your grade is based off of it, but other than that, this class was fantastic.

She is a bit disorganized and can come off as quite careless sometimes (does not plan presentation dates, does not respond to emails). She is also a bit sassy. Nevertheless, I think she is a good professor. She teaches effectively and she uses examples from her private practice and grad school days to help us understand concepts. TA grades papers.

I really enjoyed this class! Jan gives great examples and helped me understand APA writing. Shes funny and engaging. Makes dry topics as interesting as she can. 4 papers and a midterm/final, but shes clear and helpful. I thought I was going to dread this class, but it was my favorite I took this semester. Definitely recommend!!

There are no words to describe how amazing Prof. Weiner was! Lectures were concise, engaging, and explained in a way that made difficult or boring topics nearly enjoyable. She is witty, intelligent and makes clear exactly what's expected of her students. Workload includes four papers, midterm and final. Cannot recommend a better professor!
