Really friendly young nice lady, laid back. Easy class a lot of times she'll stop class early. Relates to her students
She is really cool, talks to you on a personal basis.......lots of fun
She is nice, flirts w/ the guys all the time. can leave class whenever you want, but takes attendance at beginning. tests are suprisingly hard have to read the book.
Easy class .. cool teacher too.
She is a very nice but quite unexperienced teacher. Shes fresh on the scene sort of speak, her class is easy, does have an attendance policy though, and her tests are hard if you dont read the concepts!

Jana is awesome! I loved this class. The tests are some difficult. You really need to study both the lectures and the concepts in the book. Assignments help balance out your grade. Definitely take her!
she's such a down to earth teacher and really relates with her students, such an easy class, just got to make sure you attend class, can not take notes and get her lectures online, however the tests are pretty difficult for it being an easy class, beware
Shes the nicest teacher ever and tests are pretty much straight from the powerpoint lectures, shes really lenient as well. i totally recomend
totally laid back and chill...the tests are hard just because theyre from the department...otherwise this class is a breeze.
Jana is pretty cool, gkin is hard for ome, not for me. Do the BS assignments and study powerpoints for tests, and get an A like I did. Erik Nicolai was my TA, and he was very cool. If you take GKIN, get erik, he is real chill. only bad thing about gkin is the attendance policy is strict so dont skip
Lectures are boring, and she doesnt sound like she knows the material. Tests are tricky even if you think you know it, but i think GKIN tests are universal so maybe its the teaching style. Good luck with her.
She is nice, and fun to talk to. Lectures are boring, but lab classes are usually pretty fun. The tests are really hard, but they are standardized from the dept. so you cant really blame her.
worst teacher ever...she doesn't know anything besides what is written on the slides that she didn't make up. Reads the slide, ask her a question that's not directly on the slide and she'll start to squirm. Test not that bad...final is easy. u can take this class but its pretty much a show up and sit there class...nothing more to it.
This class was meant to be a weight training class, but we never lift anymore. In the past 4 weeks, we have maybe worked out twice. Her schedule changes everyday and we have no idea whether we are working or not. The Kinesiology dept. lost all of the first test scores so mostly everyone had to retake the exams. stay away from this class
Poor Jana. I wouldn't even want to say anything about her. I just feel sorry for her. You can't help but appreciate her feeble efforts to try and teach a class. Nice girl, though.
nice prof, but the tests are standard for the department and I didn't feel like she prepared us for them, maybe another prof would do better. Lots of BS assignments, gotta show up to class.
Jana's really nice, and her class is easy. But you do have to go to class, and she is not that knowledgeable of what she is doing. It's an easy gen-ed though.
OK Jana really does not know what she's talking about half the time. She tries to be knowledgable but if you ask her anything that's not on the pp slides, she won't be able to answer it. Sometimes I feel that I could teach the class better. But its ok. Because its GKIN. and no one really cares. Easy A. Take her if you get the chance.
She's a nice lady, and she clearly loves her job, but lord this class is hideously boring. It's easy because you have over 600 points of grades (be weary of the tests), and you get 45 minutes to "lift weight's" and listen to music. The lectures are mind-numbing. MIND-NUMBING. Yay GKIN. Yay GenEd.
Ms. Walters has to be one of the most lovely KIN professors. Clearly the GKIN 100 students haven't been at JMU long enough to understand quality teaching. I find her very knowledgeable and really enjoy her teaching style. 422 is one of the best classes i've taken at JMU, but it's a little challenging.
this woman doesnt even care about her student and tries to give them lowest grade as possible. worst teacher ive had so far in jmu and i would never wanna take this woman ever. screw this bi@$%
I only had her for the lecture part, but my T.A. was excellent. Read the book the night before a test and you should be fine. Also, on assignments and tests right down everything possible. My T.A. liked a lot of wording. Jana seemed a little nutty in lectures, but it was fairly easy. 3 tests, non cumulative
her lectures are boring. class isn't so bad if you have her for the "lab" part. but you have to study for the tests. it's not just memorization either- you have to know how to apply stuff. it's kind of a pain. i wouldn't take gkin with her unless you have to.
Jana's awesome! I love her class and have learned a lot. You have to study for tests, but read the book and you'll be fine. :)
She makes what should be the dumbest class in the world mildly interesting. She's very energetic and funny, I'm not sure what problem the people here have with her. Very nice. She also has a nice rack.
She is so full of energy and enthusiasm. I loved her! She takes time to get to know each student. Loves to laugh and is very lighthearted and easy going. Taught most of the lectures and is easy to listen to. Attendance is mandatory and she is strict about it.
Do you want to get a C in a 100 level gym class? If you answered yes, then take her and your wish will come true. She takes points off of projects with no explaination as to why they were taken off, and her lectures fail to engauge. Lab was the only reason to go to this class, take someone else...
Jana seems really cool until you get your assignment grades back. She was extremely picky about answers and took points off for what seemed like nothing. Her attendance is mandatory-she is very strict about it. I'd take someone else if you can.
Avoid her! She lacks sufficient teaching skills, you learn very little, and then the exams are ridiculously difficult for a 100-level GenEd course! Also, she's a very unfair grader who takes off for practically nothing on tests & assignments...do not take her or this class!
Avoid her if you can. Treats every student like they are freshman, when our class probably had 3 freshman only in the class. She talks to much and is disorganized. She always went over the time for lecture and left us with no time in the 2nd part of class(the best part). She jumps around too much and at times I felt I knew more than her.
She is an awful professor.. I am typically an A student got a B in an easy GKIN class. She acts nice to your face and all happy in class but when it comes time to grading she will screw you over. Grades the assignments way to hard and the tests are not a breeze either. Stay away I would def not tell anyone to take her
Very straightforward with the lecture material and assignments, and a very easy class if you spend (maybe) an hour or so on the work. I personally enjoy Fridays, as she leads her entire section through yoga routines! A definite recommendation, though if you struggle with the material, you'll need to go out of your way to find help.
Jana takes time to get to know each student personally. The assignments are kind of like busy work, but you actually have to put a lot of work into them becasue she grades harshly. I reccomend taking her class.
Great class! There are 3 major assignments then 3 tests (none are cumulative). The assignments aren't hard but take some time to finish. Doesn't grade hard as long as you follow the guidelines. Tests need a little bit of studying but not tons. She takes the time to get to know her students personally. Fridays were fun because we did yoga. Take her!
i LOVE Jana!!!! she's awesome. she teaches the cardio/strength section, but we did all sorts of exercises from cycling to yoga. She graded my first assignment and test kinda hard, but after that I saw what she was looking for and did well. She gets to know everyone personally and really cares about you as a person. She's a little quirky but i love it
I can into this class unhappy that I was going to have another P.E./Health class, but I ended up actually liking it a lot. Jana's lectures were always my favourite: she made them interesting, funny, and they helped with the tests, of which there were only three. I had Dave for the lab section, and enjoyed that too. Easy class, left with an A.
Jana is really enthusiastic and helpful! She provided several different workouts (cycling, running, weights, bosu, yoga, etc). 3 projects, 4 exams & credit for attendance/participation. Take Jana, you won't regret it!
Jana was enthusiastic and fun. She felt more like a friend than a teacher, and presented physical activity in a much more interesting way than in high school. She has her quirks, but overall, she's a great GKIN teacher!
She's very enthusiastic. Tests are not easy. I went to study her online lectures 2 days before our first test, when she decided to tell us that "if you want an A, read the textbook...if you want to pass with a D, just read the lectures." That was over 200 pages worth of material. I would've liked a heads up on that. Overall an ok teacher though.
Jana was an awesome professor! the class was really easy, barely ever have to read the textbook for class other than skim over it for the 4 tests (which were pretty easy & explained before hand). She is really enthusiastic, and the class is an easy A! Take it!
She was very enthusiastic and nice. She puts all powerpoints online and very self explanatory, so going to class is pointless, but attendance is counted. I usually did homework during class. She is very easy
Jana is a very sweet and outgoing lady. She makes sure the lectures aren't boring and she gets the class involved. However, the tests are very hard and almost impossible to study for. There are only 3 in the course so they each have a ton of information you need to study, which is hard to do. If you have good teststudy skills, take her.
Walters is nice but really annoying. She fidgets and talks too long and laughs at random stuff, so it's hard to follow. The tests are hard because they're different from lectures and the questions are difficult. The assignments are sooo annoyingly dumb because if you leave out like 2 sentences you get a C. Miss 3 classes u get pts off, take health.
Professor Walters is super boring and her lectures can get very confusing with her getting sidetracked all the time. The information is just basic knowledge though, so getting a good grade doesn't require that much effort.
She is very distracting when she gives lectures because she will work out while talking. Also whenever people will ask her questions she will giggle and then stutter like she does not know what she is talking about. The tests are completely different from the class and are super hard. I learned more from the textbook than from her.
Definitely recommend kin over health for the gen ed cluster. Jana is a ball on energy and the work out portion is really easy. 3 assignments that are pretty easy to get an A on. Tests are tough for he lecture part of the class.
Lectures are once a week so it's hard to remember the information for the tests. Take really good notes and study ahead of time.
KIN 100 at JMU in general has a tough attendance policy, so you won't find anything better in the department regarding this. However, I will say that on one occasion when I was four minutes late (usually being on time), she humiliated both of us in front of the class and directed us to sit on the floor for the duration.
This class is definitely an easy A as long as you put effort in when it comes to the projects and tests. I met in the gym 2 days a week and lecture room one day a week. Take good notes and read the book and you'll be fine for the tests. During gym sections the workouts were easy. Participation really matters though (no excused absences).
TAKE THIS CLASSSSSSS. Yoga is awesome! She really cares about her students. Tests are moderately hard but way way way easier than any other health gen ed! Wait until you can take this class! its worth it trust me!
Take Jana's yoga section!!! I had never really done yoga before and I fell in love with it. She's super enthusiastic about yoga and physical activity, so that made it fun. She's kinda a hard grader on the projects and the lectures are very scattered, so take notes outside of class from the textbook/power points, I wish I knew ahead of time!!
She is just the worst teacher I've ever had. She forgets to breathe when she's lecturing I guess she has a nervous tick or something. She also is the hardest grader. It's not worth it to take the yoga section. DON'T TAKE IT. She also is the strictest teacher I've ever seen. If you have one too many absences, you'll fail the entire class.
Jana is a great option for kin 100. Lectures move fast and she can be overly energetic at times, but she really cares about her students and the subject. She also makes it a point to learn the names of everyone in her section for yoga. The attendance policy for kin 100 is the same across the board so just make sure you make it to class on time.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, She will literally do anything to find a way to take points off of your grade, half of my class had to withdraw or ended up failing. dont fall for the yoga lab section, you'll end up with a bad grade which is pathetic because it's Kin100. it literally seems like she doesn't want anyone to succeed. better off doing cardio section
I thought taking Yoga would be somewhat easy but it is not. Walters is so passionate about yoga & is a great person but is tough. You get 3 assignments & tests. The tests are unnecessarily hard & she barely teaches anything. She'll take points off of assignments for the littlest things. If you take it, always talk to her before you submit anything.
Jana is very organized, her lectures are planned down to the minute and she is very nice. Attendance is a part of your grade. Tests are easy and straight from lecture and there are 3 big assignments that go along with the tests that are also just as easy
I found Jana to be very ditsy during lectures. Even though there were times when she skipped all over the place, I felt like she did a good job at clarifying important concepts and identifying which things were important to know for the test. She is very approachable and open to answer any questions you may have.
Jana was an amazing yoga teacher! She really cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. She is super accepting of all skill levels. Her exams are solely based off her ppt slides. Attendance and participation are for a grade. We had 3 assignments and 3 non-cumulative exams. If you study from your notes, you'll get a good grade.
She really works hard to know her students name in her yoga section. She does take attendance so make sure you go. She is very caring and the test aren't cumulative so they aren't very hard.
Her tests did not reflect what she talked about in class, and her lectures were incredibly boring. You're graded on 3 tests and 3 assignments which she also grades harshly. If you can get a different teacher do it.
Jana is an amazing professor, and she teaches kin 100 in an easy to understand way. Theres 3 tests and 3 assignments which if you put the work in are really easy. Would've gotten an A if I hadn't turned in my assignment 1 super late.
This women has absolutely zero respect for athletes. If you want to take yoga and she is your only option PASSSSS. Take literally anything else. She doesn't answer emails often and when she does they are one sentence long and DO NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. Her grading is so bias whether or she likes you or not and she judges a book by their cover
She is a decent choice for Kin100. If you put the effort in it is an easy A, and make sure you study for the tests or you won't pass.
Jana is a good teacher, but not that great of a person. She was very rude whenever you emailed and would say "I don't understand" to literally everyone. Class was fairly easy, and tests are straightforward from the lectures. The lab part was very fun!
Jana was very rude and not understanding towards anyone about anything. Did not matter if it was a family emergency. It seems like she thinks this class is the most important class at JMU, when in reality, it is a glorified PE class. Absolutely avoid if there are other options, grades harshly for no reason
I was really disappointed with the whole attendance aspect of the class. I was told by Jana that 6 absences are more than enough even after explaining I had personal issues and would miss some classes. I even offered to make up the runs. Rude, doesnt care about ur success, and lectures are boring and slow you are better off cramming before tests.
Lowkey evil, but its KIN 100 so its basically glorified PE and sex ed so you do not need a good teacher for common sense. Took her for lecture not lab, she gives you everything you need so she's not terrible just average
Took KIN100 and the class was really manageable and easy. But attendance is mandatory. Can miss 3 classes and after that, it affects your grade. Had an A in the class missed 4 classes and finished with a B+..... So attend class.
She's good but her lectures go very fast.
I only went to her online lectures so I never spoke to her in person. Never responded to my emails and made the tests too difficult for a gym class. The actual workouts with my other teacher were good but the assignments were mostly busywork. Taking her for the lecture class is bearable- just make sure that you have a different workout instructor.
The worst. Will not reschedule your final even if you are actually in the hospital. She thinks she god but she's an average teacher with a god complex teaching a course innocent students need to take to fulfill this cluster
Make sure you don't miss class because she takes attendance really serious. She pretends to care about her students but then doesn't give lenience if you miss class for a personal reason (even if you email her ahead of class). She has an in-person or on zoom lecture but she'll still mark you absent if you log on 3 minutes past class time.
Jana isn't accessible outside of lectures at all. So many people in my class emailed her with questions and she either didn't answer or answered with a snarky comment that didn't answer the question. If you have a good lab teacher you'll be fine but Jana herself doesn't seem to make the effort to help us.
rudest professor I have ever met. she must've had something against me because she called me out making weird comments about me like every class, said I was a distraction to the class, what did I do?? A family member passed away and I emailed her when I knew I was flying out, and she literally said that it was still my fault for missing class
This is an easy class. There are three units with one, hour-long lecture per week. I like the way she lectures and her passion for the subject. That's about all that I like. She's a tough grader with little explanation for expectations. There are a certain amount of absences that you can have. No more, no matter the reason. Doesn't read emails.
If you struggle with time management or have physical conditions that affect attendance, take health instead. Yoga is enjoyable, but she is incredibly strict with attendance. I ended up having to withdraw because she counted my tardiness as absences, and gave me a failing grade after I was unable to attend a few classes due to illness.
One 50-minute lecture a week did not cover half the material we needed to know on the exams (which were in class on lockdown). Her grading on the assignments are VERY strict. She needed the answers to be worded exactly as she wanted it for you to get a 100. Yoga class is pretty cool. We stay in downward dog for 50% of the class so head hurt a lot.
She does come across cold, but she does not stop you if you have a heart to succeed in her class. I'm not a KIN major and I have no interest in it whatsoever, but the fact I spent the dedication to get a passing grade by working things with her, she does actually help you understand the material, even outside of her lecture. Def. show up to class!
She is very rude and passive-aggressive. She is very close-minded and blamed and punished me for a Canvas issue that was out of my control.
This class is very easy and you have to put in little work outside of class to get a good grade. You only have to study a little bit before exams and pay attentions to the study sessions during the lab before exam days. A lot of lectures were cancelled so there was only one lecture per week.
most wednesday lectures got cancelled, usually 2 labs and 1 lecture a week. lab had study sesh before tests. 3 major assignments worth about the same as the 3 tests. pay attention to lectures and you wont need to read. usually can find helpful quizlets for the tests.
I had Jana for her KIN100 Yoga class and I loved her. She was the most kind professor I have ever met and I enjoyed this class so much. She always released an announcement of what to expect for each test outlining the free response questions, and the tests were extremely easy. Most of the content is premade on quizlet already.
great class super easy for a gened, take it if you can. she cancels lecture most Wednesdays so didn't even have lecture that often. attendance is mandatory, minus points on overall grade if you miss more than 3 classes/labs.
This class was very easy. Test content is clearly outlined and the final is not cumulative. If you get a good TA, then this will be the easiest class of your life. She only held lectures more than once per week when absolutely necessary. Would definitely recommend for an easy gen ed credit.
i do not suggest this teacher to anybody!! she is very pessimistic and does not care about anything but herself or her class. i was sick for a week straight, which she knew, but yet counted everyday as absences. I had a required class 20 minutes before hers and she counted my few lates as absences. i withdrew for the sake of my gpa. DO NOT TAKE !!
If I could rate her a zero I WOULD. She's very rude, she has no courtesy for others people time. She thinks JMU revolves around her and her class. She counted my lateness as absents and I had to withdraw due to the grade. I tried to talk to her about it and let her know what was going on she told me It wasn't gonna work for her. SO DON'T NOT TAKE
For yoga, she's great. For health lecture, horrible! Incredibly picky grader, especially for a gen ed class. Tests are open-ended questions that you will do badly on unless you word things exactly how she wants. Very closed-off towards her students and generally unhelpful. Need yoga class just to relax from the unnecessary stress caused by her.
She was a fine teacher overall, but her attendance is worth a ridiculous amount. You start the semester with 60/60 but if you miss one class you automatically drop down to a 30/60. Because of the attendance policy I am failing her class and the highest grade I can get is a 71%. So, do not take her unless you plan to go to every class.
Her lectures are fairly easy, however disorganized. If you take lots on notes, then you will be fine. You can tell she knows a lot about the topic but isn't the best at explaining it. She clearly outlines what the exams are asking and will basically tell you every question (all exams are short essay). She will not allow make ups for missed exams.
Only thing she did was read off recycled slides. She didn't come to class prepared and was not empathetic at all. Her "study guide" was literally a few words saying to review her recycled slides, and even then test questions weren't always covered. Do not take her if you can get a different professor.
Overall, I had a horrible experience being taught by Jana Walter's. She is rude to her students, expecially when approaching her by email. She lacks understanding for her students and refuses to give students the benefit of the doubt
Professor Walters is by far the worst teacher I have ever had in my college experience. She is jaw droppingly disrespectful towards her students, and clearly takes pride in giving her students poor grades. My experience in this class was absolutely terrible, and she was extremely rude. In no way do I recommend taking her for any class.
I'm an upper level KIN student and let me tell you that Jana shouldn't be employed here. She is extremely rude towards students, I've never experienced anything like it before. Teachers should be wanting to help you succeed, this was not the case. Her lectures are very boring and tests are extremely hard with about only 5 long response questions.
Shes a good lecturer and attendance is mandatory. With this class is a lab and the attendance policy counts towards both lecture and lab so try not to miss lab or lecture at all.
Reads straight off the lecture slides then expects you to answer 10 short answers in depth and 30 multiple choice questions on the test. Answers have to be to her exact wording or else you will do poorly so good luck. You get 3 absences the entire semester excused or not so hopefully you don't get sick or else you will literally fail the class.
TAKE HER!! DONT LISTEN TO BAD REVIEWS THOSE STUDENTS ARE BUTTHURT. Respect is earned and Jana is a tough love professor. The students claiming she is a bad teacher are the students who expect their grade to get rounded up JUST because they asked. If you go to class, take notes, and study this is an easy Gen Ed. She is a phenomenal yoga teacher too.
You will fail the class if you happen to get sick. You get 3 free misses until she tanks your grade. She is also not organized AT ALL and spends half of lecture getting her stuff together. By the time of the test you will be so confused. She is a very tough grader but don't even try to email her because she has NO COMPASSION for her students.
DO NOT TAKE!!!!! Failed this class not once, but retook and failed AGAIN. This was all due to getting sick and missing 3 class periods which means an automatic fail. She is extremely strict and has zero compassion for uncontrollable circumstances outside of class. Her grading was unlike any gen ed i've ever taken and I doubt anyone received a 100.
I can only speak for her KIN 100 lecture. I had Tina for my lab and she was amazing but Jana, when it came to lectures, would not have things very clear as to what we were supposed to study. After looking at all the slides she didn't get to, it usually is clear but she can get distracted or lose her train of thought and can sometimes not get thu it
This bad review isn't because I'm salty about my grade/slacked and now blame the prof. She was extremely rude to me and other students when asking questions after class. Attendance basically defines your grade, you have to be in the hospital to get an excused absence, doesn't matter what the health center says. Make sure to miss no more than 3 days
Not a polite person at all. Has no compassion for students and does not deserve to be teaching as a professor. Is the largest Karen professor I have ever taken and do not recommend.
Does not care about her students at all and your grade is mainly made up of attendance. The exams made no sense as it was mostly multiple choice questions worth such little points and open response questions worth most. I would avoid her.
NEVER TAKE THIS WOMAN EVER!! She may be the worst professor to ever teach at a university. She grades very harshly for genuinely no reason. She is EXTREMELY rude. You get a failing grade if you miss a certain amount of classes and she counts being late as being absent. She locks the door and won't let you in. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Never had a more boring professor ever. The grading system makes no sense at all. I would avoid taking her for kin.
I took the yoga portion of this class. The yoga section was great, and she was a great instructor for yoga. For the lecture/health portion of the class, it was pretty boring, and I often felt unprepared for tests. She is also a tough grader and rarely gave reasonings for why you got any points taken off.
For a Gen-ed professor, she is a very harsh grader and I do not understand her grading at all. She often leaves comments like "ok" on tests and then takes off points. Her yoga class is amazing but for health class to only meet once a week the exams are extremely hard and we do not cover everything that is on the exams. Her lectures are super boring
As a yoga teacher she was great. However as a gen-ed teacher she was not so good. Shewill call out people for talking in front of everyone. When my dog passed I had to go home and requested one class off. She did not respond for 3 days and when she finally did she said "there are 3 absences worked in for this reason." Did not even wish condolences.
She is a great yoga teacher, and she seems like a nice person, but she's a really tough grader.
Don't take her! I missed one class and was late to three (by 2min) and have a B as my attendance grade. She doesn't tell you why she grades things the way she does and she doesn't explain why she takes off points. She is good at teaching yoga and should probably just stick with that and never be a professor. Lectures are boring and often trails off
Not professional at all. Doesn't respond to emails and doesn't care about students. Also smells quite off.
What ever you do, DO NOT, take any of her classes, she has no empathy and will not budge if you miss more classes than allowed and WILL FAIL you because you had to go to a funeral or got SA (my case). I had to go to the dean of kin to get her to give me a WF for my situation. Please do not take her.
This class was lowkey annoying but super easy. she repeats the same thing over and over. I feel like im in middle school when I am in this class. She is nice but kinda got on my nerves. This class is also made up of lectures from other KIN staff so she doesnt really do anything but grade assignments. the assignments were super helpful though.
Jana herself is kind of a werido- nice lady but just strange- her 201 class though I couldn't recommend enough!! Its pretty much just a spotlight for other profs in PHETE, ES & KIN depts to come talk to students and explain different careers they could have which is super helpful.
She's so rude and acts like the class is full of 5th graders. She's a very harsh grader and doesn't give good feedback.
If you have to take kin 201 unfortunately you only have her as an option. Extremely rude and condescending, almost on an unprofessional level. Seems fairly nice during lecture, however if you have to ask her a question after lecture, she will try to make you feel stupid. Sorry if you have to take her, she has a very annoying attitude.
This is a fresh/soph class where she starts off the semester helping students get adjusted to how JMU uses canvas and Microsoft. She is a nice professor and will come back for KIN381 and KIN481 (graduate requirement courses). Very easy to talk to and the assignments in this class are easy (Literally graded on scheduling your classes for 4 years)
This class is super easy. A different faculty member speaks every class. No tests and only assignments are planning your class schedule for the next 4 years and a few other easy assignments. She is just an annoying teacher though that treats us like we are kids. She will also come talk to you rudely in the middle of class if she hears you talking
This class is extremely easy, as the bulk of the grade is showing up every class and doing a 4 year plan assignment. A guest speaker from the KIN department shows up every class which is interesting, but the teacher is just weird and passive aggressive. She repeats herself 100 times in the beginning, and isn't super helpful if you have questions.
Easiest class ever. Each class was a guest speaker and a reflection. Attendance is graded though, so don't miss too much. Our assignments were so easy, it was just creating a 4-year plan and then our final was a career exploration portfolio.
This class is finding a practicum and then doing reflections for the first like 7 weeks and then some career ready assessment papers. No word limit for most answers so it doesn't take too long to complete in one night. Make sure to stay on top of your hours though!
the class is easy but she treats the class like they are in preschool
Very easy class, used it for a study hall in most classes, only like five assignments the whole year. She is good one-on-one when creating your 4-year plan. Every lecture was a guest speaker, and you had to write a reflection before leaving class.
the class is easy, the work is easy, but getting support from Jana is borderline impossible. Grading criteria is a bit ambiguous for the Career exploration assignments so go to class to hear her explain it. You're not gonna get a helpful email from her.
This class is honestly pretty dumb. The academic plan was helpful but the two other assignments seemed like busy work and the directions were incredibly unclear. Use this as a free A as long as you are willing to attend majority of the class periods as that is the main thing your graded on
