She's awsome, and really cares about students learning something new.... Take this teacher you won't regret it!

Love love LOVE! She is super nice and helpful. Very understanding to her students. Tests are easy. The whole class is a group project pretty much. If you don't like working with other people, I wouldn't take this class. You also have to show up to class. Class consists of lecture, guest speakers, and group work. THIS PROFESSOR IS GREAT

If you only take one class at KU, it should be this one!!! Jana is funny, makes class interesting, doesn't lecture, and really cares about her students! Jana is one of the best teacher I've had. She's funny, enthusiastic and hilarious. If you're shy and don't like group projects then she's not the teacher for you but even so her classroom is very "safe". She has a tendency to call on random people for participation but if you pay attention you should have no problem answering. Take this class!

Required to attend all classes, but one of the most worthwhile, 'actually important in life' classes. Guest speakers from all different companies and backgrounds with great advice in at least half the classes (notes required, but awesome). Cool field trips to breweries and such. Tests/quizzes over book, but if you read it, you can get a good grade.

Jana is an awesome teacher! She is probably my favorite teacher at KU, but get ready for group projects. She is very adamant on group involvement, although the group projects are not too bad. There are quizzes, test are pretty tough, and you must read the book.

Group activities are an everyday activity, while attendance is not mandatory there are 10 pop quizzes throughout the semester that are random so not coming can be detrimental if you miss the pop quizzes. Only a few projects outside of class. If you show up, pay attention and skim the book you will pass.

She is a great a rigorous teacher that has respect for all of the students she teach. The test are hard but if you study and go to class you should be fine. It's a great class to attend if you study the material and participate then you end with a A.

Jana is one of the best teachers KU has to offer. She makes it a point to get to know her students. I have found her to be inspirational, hilarious, and an amazing lecturer. I had to work for my A in her Entrepreneurship 480 class. It was not easy as she required the reading of two books, extensive studying of taxes, and more. Overall, I recommend.

Jana is by far my favorite teacher I have had at KU! I have taken two classes with her and have loved them both! She keeps everyone engaged in her lectures and enjoys her job! Overall she is a great teacher and I would highly recommend taking every class she teaches!

Jana is a wonderful teacher and an all around great person. But you must complete readings before each class in order to be prepared for random quizzes, and group work every day requires conscious effort, as well as several group projects. Don't slack off or it'll be tough to get the grade you want. The material is great for the business world.

Professor Fitchett was beyond EXCELLENT. I have gained knowledge about management that I know I can and will apply towards my career. She is very accommodating to her students needs. Jana is my favorite professor at KU. She's engaged and actively tries to get to know all of her students. She always has a smile on and loves to make jokes in class. Jana is my favorite teacher at KU. I've taken three courses with her, including ENTR 410, MGMT 310, and ENTR 480. In all of these classes, it's evident that she genuinely enjoys what she does, and she makes class fun. The workload is not excessive, but Jana does make students put in the work to receive an A. I definitely recommend taking her class.

Jana is an outstanding professor! She goes the extra mile and is always available to her students. That said, there is a lot of work required for her classes, but it is completely manageable. I have learned so much in both ENTR 410 and MGMT 310.

Very very hard class indeed. Why? B/c it requires more than rote memory - relies on people skills and being able to work together. She teaches what no professor nor textbook has done and that is teamwork trumps. Business THRIVES when teams win - not memorizing test answers. The greatest prof. at KU, hands down! This was hands-down one of the best classes I've ever taken. It was a big time commitment, especially for our business plan. We had to do plenty of interviewing, research, and our ideas even got rejected a few times. It's a tough class, but you can do it if you attend and participate. If you're passionate about business, this class is a must!

Hands down one of the best professors on campus. She's amazing and her class is too. All you need to do is attend class, do the assigned readings (really easy), write notes from those readings and you can use them on all quizzes. Final is super easy, just pay attention during her review session.

Great Teacher

Really enjoyed this class, Jana did a great job of ensuring that not only were students able to learn, but the material was not overly challenging either. A fun class where not only did we learn, but it wasn't over the top hard.

Jana is awesome. There is no ambiguity in her classes, as she is very clear with expectations, and will always give feedback if you ask. ENTR 410 only had one exam this semester, but that doesn't mean its an easy class. You have to work hard on the creation of a business plan and other case studies to earn a good grade. I recommend the class.

Best Teacher Ever!

I was told to take Jana's class my a classmate of mine and was nervous because it was an 8am..I am not a morning person but Jana's teaching style made it enjoyable to show up to class. Lots of group work and participation so you need to be at class. She changed our reading quizzes halfway through to attendance after the class voted on it. Take her!

Fitchett is fantastic. Took her MGMT 310 course. Fitchett cares about her students, brings a smile & energy to every class, & wants to students to take away valuable leadership skills. There are Pop Quizzes- & tests makes up a decent amount of your grade. YOU WONT SUCCEED IN THIS CLASS IF YOU DON'T SHOW UP. But she's the best prof in Capfed

I had this class at 8 am and Jana made it so interesting it wasn't even hard to get up for this class. She is an outstanding teacher.

No negatives from me. Do the work- show up, be attentive and study the study guides for the exams and you should be fine. Jana is a great inspirational person. Make sure you show up on time. If you have any questions, just text her or go to her office hours (by appointment) and she will help you. I really got to enjoy teamwork more because of her.

I took this course for my Business Admin major since I had Jana for MGMT 310 and absolutely loved her. This course is pretty straight forward and as long as you show up and do the work, you should do well. Class is entertaining and gives lots of real world examples. She's one of my favorite professors at KU and is hilarious and caring. Great class!

Jana is an amazing teacher who makes you work for your grade, especially because the majority of points received in the class come from a cumulative final group project. She is super enthusiastic and always willing to help. Best teacher ever!!!

Amazing professor who really cares about her students. Do the work, participate, and study for tests and you'll be fine. Tests can be tough but it's made up with lots of extra credit opportunities. There are 8 pop quizzes (open-note) throughout the semester so don't skip and make sure to take notes. She is very nice/smart and wants you to succeed!

Her lectures are extremely interactive and it was truly a joy going to the class everyday. She also goes out of her way to help students. I lost my internship due to COVID-19 and the first person I contacted was Jana. She referred me to some companies and I ended up getting an internship from my connection with her! Her assignments and projects are challenging but she will help walk you through them as long as you are willing to learn. The materials are not dry and helpful for your future.

You work with a group throughout the entire semester of about 5 people which can be strange at first, but once you get into the flow of things and get to know your group it can be one of the best classes. One of the things you do as a group is compare two competitive businesses in town with your group which I thought was a great project.

She makes sure you learn the material by making the class a little more difficult but everything you learn, you are going to use post graduation! Jana is a fantastic professor. Her ENTR 410 course is by no means easy. She makes you work hard on your business plan by always providing constructive feedback! Jana was super nice this class is fairly easy there was no tests just assignments and attendance. As long as you show up and participate you can get an A in this class. She made it really interesting by still having guest speakers to com speak.

Jana has become one of my favorite professors overnight. She is kind caring and goes out of her to make classes enjoyable even in the morning.

Overall, I thought she was interactive and fun to be around, but it didn't feel like she respected COVID protocols. Students were spread out to social distance, but she would sit down in chairs directly next to students that were supposed to be left empty and rarely enforced restrictions.

I looked forward to coming to ENTR 410 and was able to pull many valuable lessons from her lectures. As a student, you will get out of this class as much as you put into it.

Professor Fitchett is is truly renowned at KU and for good reasons. She teaches applicable lessons and expects a lot out of her students, but is always incredibly fair. She is very approachable and I highly recommend building a relationship with her. I took MGMT 310 with her and her guest speakers and lessons are fantastic!

Professor Fitchett has without a doubt become one of my favorite professors. Her MGMT 310 class is fun/interactive, and she spends a lot of time going over real-world examples and personal experiences. You are expected to read the weekly chapter and will be quizzed over the material. Guest speakers were brought in almost weekly which I found great!

My favorite professor so far because she really care about students and tries to make the class fun. Guest speaker reflections are easy points and quizzes are open notes. One mid term and one final but all MC. Assigned to groups of about 6 people the beginning of the semester for scenario based discussions over the chapters.

She really cares about students and she makes sure class is a fun place to be at. One of my favorite professors at KU. She has guest speakers that come to talk about what we learned. She put us in group of 6 to have people to be friends and talk about lecture topics with.

Jana is a fantastic professor- she is kind, energetic and has clear expectations. This course is not challenging on a conceptual level, it just requires effort and attendance (make sure to do the readings every time, the quizzes will make or break your course grade). In my opinion, it is easily manageable with harder courses.

Jana is a great teacher but her class is not an "easy A". Many of my classmates assumed the final would be super easy and got Cs and Ds on it since they didn't study. I studied and got a B, which I am happy with.

Janas class was super fun and I loved all of the guest speakers that she invited to class. Using the smartbooks will help you prepare for the quizzes/exams. The class is split up into groups of 6 and you get the opportunity to socialize/discuss often during class which was awesome. Would take again. :)

One of my favorite professors that I've taken a class with at KU! She cares about all her students and is able to make the class enjoyable each day. The quizzes can be tough if you don't prepare enough for them. The same case goes for the exams.

Jana is a great person that cares about her students! The activities that you do in class are super fun. The only complaint that I have is that the quizzes are purely based off of what you read in the book and sometimes have nothing to do with what you actually talk about in class. If you read and go to class you can easily at least get a B.

She is one of those professors that leave an impact on you. She is very caring and wise. Her selection of guest speakers is very interesting giving you an experience of multiple industries. From attendance to finals grading everything is explained well and followed until the last day of the course so there's no confusion.

Prof Fitchett's class is fun and engaging. The quizzes can be tough if you don't prep, but using Unstuck study alongside the textbook really helps. Definitely worth taking, just stay on top of the work.
