More concerned with career than educating students.
Loves English
Totally agree with first comment. She's very nice and energetic but unfortunately she isn't a very good teacher. You're basically paying for units and a grade.
expects a little too much in so little time. energetic but not so motivating. a hard garder.
Took three classes with her, loved all of them. She assigns a lot of work and sometimes expects too much, but she cares a lot about her students and is always willing to help. Not an easy A, but I definitely recommend her.
I learned a lot from her. However, I found her to be rude, immature, closed minded and ultra conservative. One student was so offended he left and never came back!
This was a freelance class. There is a lot of work, and she does talk about about what she takes on, and her life, but i learned a bunch. Also like other have said people have left the class becuase of her rudeness.

How did this teacher get hired? She expects much more than she teaches, is ultra-conservative, and brags about how busy she is. And she had the nerve to suspend two students for collaborating on an extra credit assignment in summer school. She has a secret desire to play god. Don't take her!!!
She is a nice person, has lots of energy, very motivating, but grades very unfair. She uses "anonomous" grading systems, but more than one occasion, she asked to see my paper after she graded it, and gave me a whole letter grade lower. I think that really defeated the purpose of her system.
i dropped her class because i don't think she knew what she was teaching and neither did i. she was very unorginazed.
You will appreciate her if you're smart and you go to school to "learn"(ms./mr. 3.0+!). She's my favorite teacher at Delta thus far; she may be my favorite of my entire education. She promotes thoughts and looking outside the box. Each class feels like a life lesson I'll never forget. Thank-you.
Well I agree w/ all the rest, but I found her very Liberal, politically, always complaining about Bush and such. My final essay bagged on her curriculum, still got an A. She questioned me on a few essays for cheating and has a hair about it. I got an A, but it was the hardest A I ever got.
She is fair and clear. She helps anyone who wants to learn and pays attention. Don't be frightened by her fast pace of talking: although she might seem to be in rush all the time, she always has time for you.
she is a very good teacher. If you really want to learn take her class. This is not a easy "A" you do have to work for it, and it is worth all the hard work you put into it.
She is the most motivated teacher I have met. She has been very helpful to every student she has encountered this semester, from what I've seen. Though, I believe she has changed from her old ways as many appeared to speak of. And with each class that passes, she seems more motivated the next class.
There was something about this woman...she talked REALLY FAST. I hated how she crammed so much into just an hour. She made us write ton. She's alright, I just thought she was uptight.
This woman is nuts. Always talking about how she neverleeps, and if she could call you at 2 in the morning, she would.I found her to be very unorganized, I had to make a trip back to school with a paper that she handed back but never recorded, so she could give me my final grade. She's also a liberal, and isn't afraid to talk about it.
she was a tough teacher but she was also trying to teach us without overloading us,she is my favorite teacher this far at delta, plus she makes the class easy to sit in because she makes it work but fun.

She is the type of teacher that expects alkot from her students, so if u r a lazy person who doesn't like to work hard for your grade, then don't take her class. If you want to learn alot then she is a great teacher that will make your writing alot better.
very hard
Very unorganized. Sometimes nice, a little crazy. Hard class. >>>AVOID<<<
she is hot but unfair!

Her rating is rather unfair. True, she is TOUGH, but if you come to her and show her that you are serious about your work she'll be more than happy to help you. She is a bit scatter brained, but she appreciates hard work and dedication. She offers a lot of extra credit. So do all of your work and take it seriously, and you can get an A (I did).
awesome teacher!! i've enjoyed all her classes that i've taken with her. very knowledgable in her field! wish i could take more classes from her but i'm transfering to a 4yr in the fall sem.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!! She is the worst teacher you'll ever take. Unfair, ****, Tomboy, ****, Pathetic, Crazy in the head, expects way more but teaches less.
This instructor is known on campus for suspending students. She never responded to many students in the class' emails. She is a lonely old women who shows her prejudices in class. Not compitent and truly is a horrible instructor. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES!!
Personally, I am tired of the students who complain about a teacher who will not let them cheat. Just do the work and get on with it. She knows her stuff, she is always willing to help, and her standards helped me to succeed when I transferred to the university system.
Ugh!!! Terrible professor. Yes, she is known for suspending students. Maybe she should do her own job and not let another web-site do it for her. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!!!
Hard!!!!....Ugh!!!..im totally drowining in this class!!
Hate her! She is so unorganized and unfair when it comes to grading. She doesn't know what she's doing. If you wanna pass then DO NOT take her!
Dr Dominik is a facinating individual. She was fun and was always willing to share a laugh with her students. I really enjoyed her teaching style.
Dr. Dominik is a very hard grader, and never actually teaches you anything. She gives you a poor grade, but then doesn't tell you how to make the grade better. She says she grades on ethics, but not on hard work. It sounds to me like she is contradicting herself. Don't take her class. She has no compassion.
Any problems or questions I had she answered and was always there with a smile. She is very firm about her assignments but is very clear and understanding if a serious issue occurs. Haven't been graded yet but no matter what grade I receive I know it will be given fairly based on my work and efforts.
I thought the class was hard because she didn'tgrade our papers until the last day of class. How were we suppose to learn if she did not provide us with feedback? I went to her for help and all she did was talk about her many accomplishments . Lucky for me I passed. I DON'T RECOMMED HER AT ALL!!!!
Delta's most ROTTEN TEACHER! Her class is bizarre because she doesn't grade until the last day, if you e mail to ask how you are doing she says just do this and this and you'll be fine. Yeah right! She ruined my GPA.DO NOT TAKE HER! I am a really good student but after her class I felt like a loser. Her poetry section is whack w/ a pointless test
AWFUL TEACHER! No clarity, no feedback. Like swimming with sharks. You will be so sorry if you take her.
The worst EVER!!! She wanted almost 8 novels and movies read no time. She Required books that were not even in the Bookstore! She Wants you to subscribe to Netflix to get the movies. Some people cant afford that! I would not recommend this teacher to a my worst enemy. If you take her.... VERY GOOD LUCK!!!
No feedback at all to students on work.
I was an A student, I luckily got by with a C. My essays were basically were crap to her. God, good luck.
Would never take her again..nor recommed...I was an A student...and she gave me a D...You have no idea what your grade is throughout the course...You have to find out after grades come out...Worst Teacher at Delta..by Far!!!
You posted only a week after this class began. Good thing you dropped it because you cannot even count. There were only a couple of stories, three novels, and two plays assigned. Netflix works well for an online course of this type. It turned out to be a great class. We even got to write an adaptation of our own.
Based her grading on god knows what... she is too busy boasting about her theatre career to care about the real world and the needs of students.. I got a "B" but I dont recommend her to anyone who enjoys learning
Dr. Dominik is one of the better teachers I have had at Delta. She is always willing to help students with any questions or problems. Her class was not the easiest but it was very educational and interesting. I would recommend her classes to anyone.
If you are looking for an easy class, do not take her. If you want to be challenged and pushed, and forced to do your best work, then take her! She is wonderful, and has high expectations, because it helps once you leave Delta, and go out in the real world. If you mess up, you pay the price. Cheating is NOT tolerated under any circumstances!
Dr JD knows alot but doesnt teach alot. i dont mind hard work but i need guidance and understanding. i email another student in my class for help and support. she doesn't care if we fail either. she should want us to succeed.
She is terrible, terrible, terrible. She provides absolutely no guidance. She does not encourage her students to do well. Even if you do all the work with the best effort possible, she will always find a flaw. It is impossible to please her. TERRIBLE. I failed and have to retake the class, though I participated in all discussions and assignments.
this teacher is unreasonable on all levels. I've never had a teacher care less about her students. Her grading scale is comepletely incomprehensible, and is virtually impossible to please. Even excellent students do poorly in her class.
Why is she a teacher? I have her online and she is horrible!!! No help whatsoever. She gets an F!
I wish I had read the comments about this professor before I took this class. She doesn't grade the assignments on time. She expects your work to have perfect grammar but her posts don't follow the same rules. She gives an overwhelming amount of work. I am getting a B (I think) because half the work I have turned in isn't graded yet.
Do not take her if you want an easy "A". She does not give A's easily, and she makes you work your butt off! She has a no-tolerance policy for plagiarism, so you better not do it, or else she will flunk you, or else suspend you. Worth the work; she challenges me, and if you do what she tells you, then you will have no problems.
If you have any interest in English she is a great teacher to take. Learned more in her class than any other. Not an easy class, but worth it if you want to learn something. I always found her willing to help if I had a question.
If you have any interest in English she is a great teacher to take. Learned more in her class than any other. Not an easy class, but worth it if you want to learn something. I always found her willing to answer any questions.
If you have any interest in English she is a great teacher to take. Learned more in her class than any other. Challenging class, but worth it if you want to learn something. I always found her willing to answer any questions.
If you have any interest in English she is a great teacher to take. Learned more in her class than any other. Challenging class, but worth it if you want to learn something.
I was not a fan of literature at all, but the class was required. She was demanding but helpful with my papers. Now, a few years later, I know that I would not have the success I have had without her class. I appreciate her demanding style and teaching.
Whenever you look for guidance and direction in life, you look for help from a parent, sibling, relative, friend,teacher... When you find that someone to help you - learn and then thank them. Thank you Dr. D! You changed my life for the better in certain ways of learning!
The amount of work in this class is overwhelming, BUT the amount I have learned is equally overwhelming! I have always been good at English and writing skills, but I have learned an incredible amount about grammar, sentence structure, writing papers properly, and - wow. Great teacher. Great class, but have the time available to take this class!
Professor assigned way too much each week, and acted as though students did not have obligations to any other classes or anything else in life. Many assignments not graded until a month after submission, making figuring of grade difficult. Course load seemed too much for a 3 unit course. Not even a slightly enjoyable class.
Terrible teacher. Poor communication skills. Email response time was slow or never occurred. Excessive workload for a 3 hour course that was repetitive. Teacher states time management is the key, but failed to follow through herself. Class required 20-25hrs a week to complete. Teacher was not clear on what she wanted. Avoid this teacher.
Suggestions for better writing not given until several papers turned in months later which does not make for a great learning environment. Grading of work not done until even after final completed. do not recommend this professor's teaching or grading style.
She is not helpful at all and will not work with you if you have some kind of emergancy
Great teacher! I learned so much. She responded to all my emails right away, even calling me for phone conferences. I recommend her if you want to learn, not if you want an easy grade or want to cheat.
I have worked with difficult people but Ms Dominik has been the hardest. She understands what she wants but is unable to relay that information in a manner that can be understood. A class that she herself says should only take 12 hours a week actually takes 20 hours a week due to her being unorganized. She is wordy, but uninformative.
I have to say that this was the most discouraging class I have ever taken. Please, try to avoid this teacher.I wish I checked this site before I got into the class, I thought it was such a Godsend to get in since I registered so late. I was wrong. Of course, her mother did pass away the summer before I took her class. :(
Took this instructor as a last resort, BIG MISTAKE. Demands a minimum of 12 hours per week, its more like 20, she doesn't return assignments so you have no idea where you stand in the class. Unrealistic expectations for a community college. If this is your last choice for English I suggest taking Mandarin Chinese taught by braille.
I would not recommend her to anyone. She will not help even when you ask several times. If you have a learning disability, DO NOT take her class, you will fail!! She thinks that everyone is should be an English major.
She is horrible!! The hardest class I've ever taken! It's crazy the amount of work in this one course and nothing is graded the entire semester so you have no idea how you're doing or if you will even pass!! Do NOT take her class even if it is the last option!
She is the BEST teacher I've ever known in Delta College. She is always there to guide and help me every step of the way. If you are lazy, do not take her. But if you want quality education, take her.
Forgot about the what the next person said below! She is horriable TEACHER! Avoid her! Avoid her! She does not care about her students. She only wants to listen too herself speak and will put you down if you are having any challenges about english. I wish I would have read the comments before I took the class.
Professor Dominique must believe that everyone is an English major. She over loads the students with too much work, which she usually doesn't even grade. It seems like she doesn't realize that most of us just want to pass English 1A because it's part of our general Ed classes. There was no need to makethe class a nightmare.
Dr. Dominik is an awesome teacher. She cultivated my skills as a writer and continue to do so. She is fair, concise, and clear. You want to get good grades, then it's time for those lazy, chronic complainers to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Nothing good comes easy. So stop whining!!!
Dr. Dominik is an awesome professor. She is fair, clear and concise. She cultivated my skills as a writer. You want good grades, then stop your whining and get to work. Don't expect easy grades to be handed to you. Nothing good comes easy in life. You want to be treated like in high school? then i suggest you to go back there.
If you want to achieve success in your field of English, I recommend you sign up for a class/classes with Dr. Dominik. Yes, she puts you through the paces, but it's well worth it, providing you put in the effort. I just wish 44D was still available. I'd sign up again...and again...until I get it right and get all of my projects completed.
Her heart is in right place, but needs to clean up her act. Work is not hard, but she gives way too much. She doesn't grade any of it. She has jury duty once a month. Acts hard done by when you have a question. English has to be a nightmare to teach, but she knew what she got herself into.
There is an abundance of homework assigned. Due dates aren't clear in her online class. Expect a lot of reading and papers to write and re-write. This teacher thinks she is the only class that students take. she requires 9 to 12 hours a week for her class when really you need about double that. Work isn't graded right away.
Very difficult class! I loved English prior to taking this class, not anymore! Horrible Horrible teacher! Never will take a class of hers again!
I would recommend Dominik for those who actually want to learn. After years of crappy English teachers, I am so glad to have had her. I read about 6 essays a week, analyze them, read about 5 chapters and take notes on those, and then we also have an essay or rough draft due every week. The real challenge is time management!
One of the rudest and most difficult teacher. She is not clear on what she wants, and if asked too many times, she embarrasses. She forgets stuff. She takes offense to when you don't call her DR.
Very challenging, but very helpful. Probably tough for many of us who did not have good and real teaching before. I worked very hard, but I learned more than any other class I have had.
Dr. Dominik is NOT a good teacher. There is an abundance of assignments, which are not graded in a timely manner. She expects 9-12 study hours (outside of class) but in reality it's almost twice that amount. She grades harsh and her feedback is rude, almost as if she is trying to make you feel like an idiot. Caution: TAKE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Dr.Dominik was a very entertaining professor when I took her class last semester. Very helpful and also fair on her greading. Yes, there is an abundant amount of work. C'mon people you're in freaking college not elementary school! Quit expecting easy A's
she is rude with her advice and will critize you for your grammer, but her's are just as bad in her posts.
Do not take this class. She gives too much homework and is very critical with assignments. She gives you many reading assignments where you have to answer questions.
There was a lot of assignments which i did not mind because it is college, and you would expect that. However, she was not a good teacher.. She criticized a lot and was very rude. And she did not know how to explain things that well. I s confused of what she was saying half of the time
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. I understand an abundance of work; this is college and that is expected. However, it was an almost impossible amount that was all busy-work and taught very little, she was rude, and confusing. I loved English before this class. Now I absolutely hate it. Head everyone's advice and avoid this teacher if possible.
She was a difficult professor and pushed you to give your all, but it was way worth it. By taking her class I learned a lot and will use it in the future. She is very passionate about English and I respect that. Only take this class if you want to learn.
Oh boy, where should I start. There is too many assignments! You are expected to read a novel, write a paper and watch two films each week, upon other assignments. I would not recommend this class or teacher to anyone!
Worst class EVER. Xtremely rude feedback, very unclear, gives no examples, asks 4 MLA format & rebukes it, doesn't grade essays for months, modules badly written/confusing.Worst R discussions, U write 3,200+answers/posts. 5 essays due, roughdraft returned day b4 essaysdue. Doesn't grade work in a timely fashion. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Save ur sanity!
WORSE CLASS EVER. The assignments are stupid and she is not helpful. She is a hard grader and there is so much unnecessary work. For essays, it's either her way or the highway. Calculus was easier than this class. IN THE TOP FIVE WORST TEACHERS I HAVE EVER HAD! DONT' TAKE HER.
do not take this class with this instructor. She is very rude, unorganized, uncaring, and by far the worst teacher that I have ever taken in my entire college career!! She gives entirely too much work and then takes forever to grade with unclear and rude feedback, there is no way you are able to improve!!! avoid her at all costs
Jane Dominick is why I was prepared when I transferred to Berkeley and managed an A average in the demanding English program there. Yes, she is tough. She won't hand you an easy A, she'll make you work for an education instead. If you want to really learn and be prepared for a university, she's your best bet.
She is clear about what she expects from you as the student. She will definitely challenge you, but it is a good thing. She is blunt and straight to the point, but she gives good feedback on assignments and essays. In no way, is this class an easy A course, but I promise that you will learn more from this woman than you will in any other course.
I don't understand this professor. She is very rude about her grading. I get it. There are specific things she wants from her students, but she needs to be more clear about her instructions. A lot of work, but it is doable and she sometimes extends the due dates. She has good office hours and replies relatively quickly. Won't take her again though.
Really a challenging class, so don't take it unless you want to learn. Most these people who commented obviously didn't want to. There are a lot of assignments, but she is very helpful and responds very quickly. I respect her passion on the subject. She does seem to be a tough grader, but its for your benefit. bad thing: long time to grade
Worst professor I have ever had in my life no exaggeration. She's not flexible with studentsassignments, she is completely vague in assignment descriptionrequirements, and grades based off her own preferences. A ridiculous amount of work and reading involved. This professor also did not update the grade book once all semester. Still says 17%.
I had her class before I transferred. Although it was a good bit of work--other teachers at community college seem to make things too easy, I was well-prepared for university. I learned so much about literature and writing; she always responded to my messages within a day--sometimes within an hour! She is challenging, but inspiring. . .thank her
Yes, if you want an easy A with little work and not following her directions, do not take her. If you want to learn and succeed long after the class as well, take her. She is helpful once she knows you have done your part in reading the material. I learned that my earlier teachers were too easy, giving me high grades for poor writing.
Best class I have had in college. I learned more in it than in several others put together. She does not baby you. This is college, people. She was never rude, was always willing to help me, and pushed me to be a better student. I do not understand these comments since I was in the same course as some of you here.
Decided to change the time of the online final and didn't tell anyone. No feedback and little help to move forward. I would avoid this nightmare if possible.
Two issues: 1. Often spoke so quickly that no one could comprehend her. 2. Told the class to ask for help, email, call, whatever. But, when I emailed, she was very rude & was no help (helpful in person though). She expects a lot (warning to busy parents!), even all of your ink. More than half of the class dropped. You can only miss one day.
Dr. Dominik provides thorough feedback for improvement on future assignments. There is plenty of ready so be prepared for that. The class proved to be inspirational because the assignments cause you to think and dig deep; you will likely discover how fabulous you are through this class if you don't already know.
Dominik at first was very pleasant. Through the semester however, you could see her true colors. Her feedback was very confusing to understand. And when she went over the homework, it was too elaborate to even comprehend. When correcting papers, she left very harsh and rude comments. It seemed that only the kiss asses would be adored. Soooo Yeah.
I will never take a course from this instructor again. I am more than willing to put in the effort and do the work, however, her vague instructions on assignments made way for confusion. When I asked for help, she remained vague but then chastised me for not following directions. Group assignments were pointless because this was an online class.
Dr. Dominik gives interesting assignments but takes a long time to grade work, so you won't know what your overall grade is much of the time.
I have never had a teacher who was so supportive. Yes, I needed to be reminded to print the materials from my online course, but once I began to follow the directions, she was more than willing to answer any of my questions. If you want an easy class where you learn very little, do not take her. If you want to learn, take her. She is great.
One of the rare classes I have taken that is actually college level. Thank god. Nice to finally have a challenge and be respected. I learned so much and am better prepared now to transfer. If you do the work, she is right there ready to discuss any questions you have. She responds to messages very quickly. I am so glad I took her class.
This is a passionate teacher, but it's hard dealing with an online class where the professor expects a lot from you. She responds to questions quickly, but can be confusing about her answers. She can take time returning papers and her comments on rough drafts are too vague, but providing good comments on papers online can be difficult.
Great enthusiasm and will push her students to keep working hard and motivate them to succeed. However, lots of homework and essays. Time management is the KEY to success in this class.
She expects a lot out of her students which I appreciated. She did take a long time to grade and was very demanding on how specific she wanted her work. Her class did teach me a lot of time management, but probably one of my more stressful classes. Not an easy class necessarily, but not the worse. If you want a challenge, take her.
Already have degree so I signed up for this class for my job. 2nd week-professor dropped me from the class. I have reached out to her to ask why & she is unresponsive. I had already submitted assignments & discussions that were due ahead of time. Now, I have to explain to my employer why they paid for class that I'm not even in anymore.
Her assignments were all over the place. She seemed to have too much going on. She bragged about how hard she had it going through college, but she was beyond privileged and her circumstances allowed her to become who she is today. That being said, she holds you to her standards so be prepared to write like an editor.
Very difficult. This was the first class in my college career where I have done everything and still received a poor grade. Tough grader, very blunt. She knows her material well and seems to like what she does but I feel she holds unrealistic expectations.
I learned more from her on how to be a good writer than any other teacher, ever. She makes you work for it but I learned so much from her. She will give you great feedback on how to improve. If you want to just sit back and not do any work then don't take this class. If you want to learn how to be a great writer then this is the class for you.
She was not clear on certain explanations and assignments. She just assumes that you know how to do everything. She makes you feel like you are beneath her, makes you feel very dumb. I worked hard in this class and she never liked any work i turned in and i worked very hard.
I had a terrible experience in her class! She gives assignments with unclear directions and marks you down for the smallest things. After speaking with her, it was apparent she thought very highly of herself. She talks down to you and acts like she has all the answers to everything! Never taking her class again.
She is not very clear in her directions and can be very condescending when you ask for help. She expects you to dedicate all of your time to this class, far outside of the hourly requirements for three units.
She means well. This is a challenging class for most, I'm sure. Whatever you do, she will ask for more. There is no maintaining the status quo in this class. No matter what you do, it won't be enough. Not because the work is bad, but because her goal is to have every student improve from the point they started. Be prepared to spend a lot of time.
I hated this class at times but I learned a lot.
She is a great, well-respected professor. Although I must say that if you have a lot on your plate, don't take her course. Her course requires a lot of reading and analyzing. If you are an average writer, she can help you improve. If you are a good writer, she can help you become a better writer. She is well experienced and passionate.
While Dr. Dominik has received a lot of harsh reviews, I definitely see where they're coming from. She exchanged hostile private messages with me and her announcements were condescending at the start of the semester. HOWEVER, towards the end of the semester, she was helpful, understanding, and kind. She expects a lot, but only wants you to improve.
Dr. Dominik has a high hopes for her students. I can see how she may be mistaken for rudeness, but I KNOW she cares a lot about helping students progress and achieve. She was very responsive and helpful in emails. Although it was an online class I didn't feel disconnected. The course was challenging, but I loved how it helped me improve my writing.
This professor is tough. She has a lot of assignments due every week. If you take a few hours once a week to get everything done for that week it's manageable. I don't recommend taking this class if you have a lot on your plate. The assignments are challenging and I've learned a lot, she's not clear about some things, it's frustrating.
This was one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She was incredibly rude, unclear, and unwilling to help her students. She is really scatter-brained and takes ages to grade. She also thinks really highly of herself and will talk down to you. You have to work so hard for a good grade, because she will mark you down for her own opinion.
I confess...I'm one of those students who like to be challenged which is why I chose Professor D. She's super sharp and knows her stuff. She is one of the BEST teachers I've had at Delta. Her assignments are clear and as long as you read, stay organized, and keep up with the work, you will learn a lot and maybe get an A like I did.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a teacher. I asked for an extension because I was in the hospital, she said that there was nothing she could do because I didn't stay over night at the hospital. She wouldn't respond until 9-1130pm. When I met her in person she was extremely condescending and inconsiderate of my financial situation
The worst Professor Ive had at Delta: she requires 9-12 hrs per week for her class as if students dont have anything else going on in their lives. She seemed very condescending when talking to her over the phone and shes not very open minded if your paper starts to go a different direction than she wants. Overall, shes a very difficult person.
you know that one teacher that just ruins the one thing you really like and makes you never want to do it again? this is that one teacher. avoid at all costs.
Expect to carry your own weight, she isn't going to make excuses for you or pretend you are doing a good job if you aren't. She will give you amazing feedback and encourage you though. This teacher loves what she does and is very inspiring, and she wants to see you improve and grow. She is tough but do you want a teacher that doesn't care?
Dr. Dominik is a teacher that I'll never forget. She assessed where I was to begin with, inspired me to improve, challenged me to go further, and encouraged me along the way. If you want an honest, direct teacher that will help you improve--in other words a REAL teacher, she's the one to go with. If you want to coast--don't take her class.
