This class was super easy. A lot of creative assignments and tests are carbon copies of the lectures.
This class might be the easiest A credit at Bing. The midterm and final are super easy, if you take notes on the lectures (which are literally copying down what says NOTE on the PowerPoint,) you are guaranteed to do well. The creative projects are very easy and take no more than an hour each. This class is an easy A grade, highly recommend!
Professor Elliot is the sweetest human being ever. You'll learn so much about theatre and how it works. We read/watched AMAZING productions. It is a great class to take for credit, her lectures are super informative/helpful. Prof. and her TA 's are wonderful and so helpful! There are a lot of projects but they are really creative and enjoyable!
I genuinely really enjoyed her lectures and the topic material. Exams used wordings from the lectures which made studying straightforward and practical. Homework isn't too heavy but the lectures did sometimes feel like a lot. * Note that some assignments require you to record yourself and friends, then post on youtube, which could be stressful *
This was Jane's first semester teaching at Binghamton. She completely redesigned the syllabus to accommodate us when we expressed that it was too much to keep up with. She is very willing to listen and help whenever she can, and is a very inspiring woman to talk to. This class makes you work, but is manageable. I cannot recommend her enough!
Prof. E is a nice lady who. clearly cares about theatre but if you're taking this as an A credit with other work-heavy major courses... don't. The class itself is super easy. but there are an insane amount of assignments every week that end up just crowding your schedule.
An INSANE amount of work for a intro class and she tries so hard to preach anti racism but its obviously a stretch. its an easy class but if you already have a heavy workload with other classes/work maybe don't take this class.
All I gotta say is if you already have a busy schedule and were looking for an easy A, this definitely isn't it. Too much work for a theater class and too much irrelevant rambling. It was asynchronous so I had to will the motivation of Greek Gods to get myself to watch the videos. You can't even speed the lectures up cause there are so many notes.
If ur looking for a gen ed with light coursework, this isn't it. However the A is doable if you put in the work. My biggest problem w the course was her lectures. They were so heavy with irrelevant information half the time. But be sure to watch them because the exams are word for word. Also follow specific directions on projects for easy 100's.
When I took this class, it was asynchronous. Professor Elliot was very kind and understanding. It was pretty easy to get a good grade. The majority of the grade was based on projects that as long as you followed the directions, you got a 100. Lectures can be long and sometimes boring, but she clearly indicates what notes to take for tests.
Its not difficult to get an A in this class because the projects are graded leniently and they are over 50% of your grade. However, it is an insane amount of work so if your looking to take this class and an easy Gen Ed, I wouldnt unless you have a pretty light schedule. This class will take up quite some time.
Easy A because your grade is mainly on the projects--which are pretty straightforward, just follow the rubric. The class was completely async with an optional class zoom. Midterm and Final all questions from her lectures, which are pretty heavy so make sure to do all her questions. Overall, a lot of busy work but an easy A.
If your other classes are work-heavy, do not take this course. Prof E's assignments got to near-cruel levels in the last part of the semester. HOWEVER. The content itself is super easy and if you follow directions for projects, you will get an A. She is a pretty nice lady too. You also have to attend class, she does not post lecture slides.
Honestly she is annoying. It's an easy A but a lot of work. Would not wanna take a class with her again.
As long as you go to lectures and take very good notes you'll do fine on the midterm and final. Every week she assigns a play u have to read or watch and then u take a quiz on it. A lot of out-of-class work and if you don't do it you get screwed. Alot of projects aswell. Would not take a class with her again. Not worth the credit.
1000000% would never take this class again. Very tedious. All info is in the lectures needed for quizzes/tests/projects. quiz every week. project every other two weeks. bye. never again.
I have regrets and this class was one
100% worst mistake of my life
My big issue with this class is the testing format. Tests are online/open notes and some questions are ripped from lecture, but others are extremely specific details about readings or videos that we aren't always told to pay attention to. It's irritating and I feel like we're tested more on our notetaking skills than we are on the actual concepts.
I have to say this was one of my worst decisions. The lectures were really painful because you have to catch all the notes and sometimes she goes through the slides at godspeed and if you miss it, hope that it's not on the exam. Her class is so content-heavy and too much work for a gen-ed class.
These ratings are so harsh for no reason. Midterm and final not the easiest but they're not even worth that much. I got a 74 and an 83 and still got an A. Quizzes worth 30%, projects 30%, attendance 4% (tells you which days you have to go (only 2 days for the whole sem)), midterm/final 34%, she offers extra credit for +2.5%. I love Prof E.
She is very nice and has very neat and organized notes. There is homework every week and they aren't hard assignments, but they do require a good amount of time and effort. Show up to the lectures and take really good notes and the midterm/final will be a breeze as well. There's also extra credit. Basically, put in the work and it's an easy A.
Not bad for gen ed, nothing else besides that. I thought she was kind of annoying and overly woke which made the lectures hard to sit through but the class is very easy. Midterm, final, and all the quizzes are online and open note. Go to lecture and take good notes and its an easy A.
Easy class just a ton of work. Only takes attendance two days a semester but if you don't get the notes from every class you'll fail exams. All exams are open note but she puts her own opinions on them. Literally highlights in purple on her slides everything that could be on the exam. Only reason Difficulty is a 2 is because of how much work It is.
You don't need to go unless it is your group's "fishbowl" days, which means she will be calling on you. There are only like 2-4 of those days and you will know ahead of time when they are. There are clear rubrics, so you will get the points if you follow it. She's an engaging teacher. I wish I could take again. fun gen-ed
Very annoying and political for a theater course. LOTS OF WORK. the rubrics are extremely clear and if you complete everything properly you'll get an A. Just prepare to do a lot of pointless work. I wouldn't recommend the course cause she's annoying and gives a lot of work but easy A material wise.
Prof. E is as bad of a professor as it gets. She has no remorse for her students and goes extremely quick in class, almost to where you miss some of the notes. The test and quizzes she gives are too specific and will drive a person crazy. DO NOT take this class, or you will have to go on depression medicine.
this class is HORRIBLEE. THERE ARE SO MANY PROJECTS ITS INSANE. if u love crying take this course, the professor is rlly good if u wanna be depressed.
Professor Elliot is not likeable at all. She'll make you turn and talk to people around you randomly during class so make sure you're sitting next to people who also don't want to talk about the current topic of musical theater. Such a joke of a class.
It is extremely lecture heavy, attendance is not mandatory only 2 days out of the entire semester. The quiz/test are open-notes and online so if you don't get the notes you will not pass the class. There is a good majority of work but it is not hard. Her class is politically inclined, if you have an issue with her opinion don't take the class.
too pushy with the poc agenda especially since she is a white woman and was weird about overall controversial subjects
Professor Elliott was a nice teacher but there were so many assignments and it gets really overwhelming. In this class, you are always doing projects and reading articles, in my opinion, it's just way too much work for simple gen ed. I would not say this class was an easy A, cause you absolutely have to work for it to see results.
Prof E gave a lot of homework but it wasn't too hard and the information always came up on tests and quizzes so it's important to do them. Class was pretty average to sit in but was worth it. If you don't take notes you won't pass.
Prof E teaches one of the easiest gen eds around. The class is so chill just make sure you take the notes and do the homework and you'll be guaranteed for an A
no. simply no. TRUST ME im doing you a favor do NOT take this class under any conditions!!
- 13 quizzes, 7 projects, two tests, final exam - will not share powerpoints, lectures at the speed of light - not considerate of nontraditional students or students who have to work to support themselves - you will have to spend your own $ on required viewings of different productions- 2 BU productions at $12/ticket, HBO, BroadwayHD, Disney+.
Prof E gives a ton of busy work for no reason. Her class is not very hard but there is always work to do. Her Brightspace isn't really that organized and there are a ton of projects and quizzes. You are essentially forced to participate on 'fishbowl days' and have to come to lecture for notes. Only take if you need an aesthetics credit.
Her grading criteria is kind of specific but she writes everything that you have to do down clearly. Almost everything is graded by your TA's. You do have to pay to watch the live plays and also to watch some of them online. A lot of work, but easy - just stating your opinion on the acting and stuff like that. She drops 2 quizzes and one project.
If you want an easy no work Gen ed this might not be the class for you. There was a lot of busy work like quizzes and projects (all online). Participate twice in the whole semester on fishbowl days. Have to pay for tickets to plays and hbo max so be aware of that! Tests were open notes and word for word from slides. Easy A if you do the work!
Lecture notes are verbatim on quizzes and tests, all online quizzes are structured with guided questions to do prior making it easy
A lot of work but it's fairly easy. I got an A+ without ever reading the materials since the questions are easy enough to CTRL-F. She drops 2 quizzes and 1 project. All quizzes/exams are online and open-note. The lectures were interesting but attendance isn't mandatory if you have people who will send notes. Will need to spend money to watch plays.
Prof E is very passionate about her work and correctly says you have to work for the A in the class. The notes from lecture are word for word on the test so you have no reason not to get 100 on those if you go to class. Lots of HW I would recommend taking this class with a friend. The class is not difficult at all, just a lot of busy work.
Professor Elliot provides lots of busy work. Its not difficult but there is a weekly quiz, play, and occasional project that is all due on one date which could be overwhelming. The class focuses on the politics of theatre more than the basics. Going to class is mandatory because she does not post her notes. Probably easier classes for the A credit.
quizzes/tests including final/midterms are online/open note. quizzes are based on plays/readings. she posts most of the questions prior so u can look out for them. only days you are required to show up are fishbowl days in which ur group has to participate/respond out loud to the class about something from the lecture. project grading is very clear
Prof E poor ratings revolve around her political agenda which isnt fair (though somewhat accurate). The course is easy to get an A as long as you truly put in the work. Write down every "NOTE" on the lectures. My biggest tip for the course - make friends as a coushin if you miss. Participation for 2 days where you comment once. She roots for you!!!
She is very kind and def knows her stuff about theater. It was an enjoyable class, only complaint would be that there is a lot of busy work and lectures were very heavy. Lots of notes to take, it did tire my hands out many times, but overall not too bad. Online midterm and final, that was awesome. I wouldn't mind taking another class with her.
I definitely recommend taking this class if you need the A credit. It was by far the easiest class I have ever had to take. It reminded me of a high school class because of all of the busy work, but by far the easiest A+ I will ever get in college. She provides a TON of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester, so take advantage of them!
Wants you to call her "Prof E" for some reason. Acts like she's teaching a middle school class - will stop everything and yell if students are talking. Labor Based, do the work get the A. Uses the class to plug the theater shows and her own career. Loves to talk about politics and make you talk about politics. If you have a short temper, stay away.
Overall Prof Elliot is a good professor. The class is titled "Into to Theatre" but it was more political than expected. This wasn't a bad thing but it wasn't what I expected. The class is easy as long as you pay attention and take notes. The lecture is basically her just giving you the test questions along with the ANSWERS. I recommend the class.
I definitely gained a new perspective and appreciation of theater, but if you are looking for an in depth view of musical theater, it's not really that. She was much more focused on highlighting minorities in theater and looked at theater from a more political perspective, so we didn't dive into some of the classics I anticipated.
Easy class as long as you keep up with all the assignments. There are a lot of assignments but they are all relatively easy. You don't really need to show up except on your fishbowl days. Great easy A.
There are A LOT of assignments and I mean A LOT. but they are easy. take your notes, and show up to your fishbowl days and you will be fine. most of the TAs are easy graders and they are the ones who read your stuff. tests (including the final) are all online and open note which is a perk.
Very note-heavy class, test questions are incredibly specific to certain notes. Makes you spend over $20 for a subscription for one quiz, and overall forced to pay and watch plays and do a project for credit. At least one text book reading + quiz + other things with the addition of one project per week.
You need to be in class and take notes to pass. She talks super fast, so u need to be a fast typer inorder to take down all the lecture notes. All the tests and quizzes will be in your notes and homework. You will need to pay to watch the shows that she requires you to do or else you'll not pass her class
I love theater, so I enjoyed this class. Online timed quizzed based on plays and readings every week. Projects were not bad and the TA's are really nice. She really doesn't want to be contacted outside of class, but I don't really see why you would need to contact her. She has generous extra credit opportunities. Easy A if you're into theater.
The class is easy if you take good notes and complete all the quizzes & projects. Attendance isn't mandatory but is on your "fishbowl" days. The weekly assignments can be overwhelming but they are easy to complete. All the tests are based on the notes. I'd recommend this class for the "A" gen ed.
Tries to be woke but ends up saying something offensive of some sort. TAs grade everything and won't ever change grades. Supposed to be an easy gen ed but I had more work for this class than my major classes.
She tries her literal hardest to be woke, but it always comes off the wrong way. We had an entire play every week and write a long paper answering questions about it. She rarely gives leeway and is a somewhat strict grader. She has no respect for people with mental issues even when she says she does. Had to take for my major, but don't recommend.
THEA102 is a course based more on politics in theater. Be sure to attend class, she does not share lecture slides, and the questions on midterm and final are mostly taken from slides. There's a lot of assignments, not too difficult, but can be time consuming if this course is being taken with other more challenging/time consuming courses.
Jane cares about her students and communicates to you if she makes a mistake. The workload for this class though is a lot. There were so many nights I was just miserable doing the papers that I didn't think were effective. Her "tests" are also massively long and terrible to get through. The readings for the class though are fine, all good choices.
I have no interest in theater however I enjoyed THEA 102. Very diverse content, somewhat interesting topics, and open book midterm and final from notes taken in class. Weekly projects/readings can be a little much at times but all very manageable. The two plays you have to watch can be annoying but bring friends and they're not half bad.
Even though she is a great person, she is heavy on lecturing. There will be no slide posted and talks very fast while taking down notes. However, her class was interesting and fun to learn but if you want easy work as a gened, it's not that easy. The midterm and finals are open book so that means attendance is mandatory just for the notes.
There is a lot of work for this class, however it's not difficult work. I followed the project rubrics exactly and I've received 100 on every project. The midterm, final, and all quizzes are online. Recommend this class for the "A" gen ed.
Lecture heavy, does not post the slides and talks so fast you can barely write it down, must talk to those around you every class. Overall workload is a lot for a gen ed, a lot of reading and watching plays but she is very kind and open to students.
The class was a lot of work but overall an easy class. There is no textbook requirement but will have to purchase some things throughout the sem.
Simple class, a bit of a workload, but nothing is very difficult.
A great gen ed class for A credit. quizzes are all online and she drops the two lowest quiz grads, Midterm and final also online. There are a few projects but not hard and their fun. as long as you go to lectures and write down everything from her lecture slides that are in purple your gonna be good.
There is a lot of work but it is all really really really easy. I cannot stress enough how easy it is to get an A in this class as long as you pay attention in class and take notes on the few things in purple on the slides. If somehow you are doing badly, she gives tons of extra credit. She is also very sweet, if not a bit over the top.
she is very annoying. its a basic theatre class and she assigns an unnecessary amount of work. this class was meant to be an easy "A" attribute but instead she likes to make it the most frustrating class to attend or do work for. she also tries to b very woke and ends up just discriminating against white students.
this teacher is really annoying and keeps pushing political agenda also she gives way too much work making us read long scripts and long theater shows in addition to there are many costs including live shows and subscriptions you also have to pay attention in class because she makes you take so many notes you can write about kpop instead in writ111
This class is an easy A if you put in the work, but Prof E assigns a lot of work and can be very strict. Very nice otherwise but has a ton of energy. Be sure to expect many textbook readings, play scripts, plays assigned to watch, and quizzes. The midterm and final are online and open-note, so you will be fine if you take notes during the lecture.
Easy course, would take again. Not understanding about technical difficulties or mistakes. When you come to her with a problem she automatically thinks you are cheating and is very rude over email. Attendance and participation is mandatory and has a password protected attendance quiz that she only opens for a short amount of time (about 3 minutes).
Homophobic
I literally finished this class with over 100%... super easy but lowkey a drag. Drops 2 quizzes, 3 attendance quizzes. Just do the busy work and you'll get an A. AGAIN... super easy class.
Actually so awful. Getting up to go to this class was the absolute worst part of my week. She was super passive aggressive and would basically talk down on all of her students, despite claiming to be very welcoming and friendly.
Overall, enjoyed the class. Might be a few times where we needed to take many notes down but the note question from lectures are formed the same way on the midterm and final exam (online/ open-notes). Projects weren't even bad, textbook readings were easy, the subscriptions that were needed for the films or libretto, I just used free trials
Very understanding and a nice professor overall. Gives lots of chances to makeup work/give excuses. Gives freebies on latenesses and absences. Drops lots of low grades. Really wants you to succeed. Would take again!
Very annoying and the class is fairly political but if you can deal with that take the class for an easy A. Midterm and final along with all quizzes are take home. Follow the rubrics and you'll get 100 on everything. Attendance is mandatory and as long as you write the orange notes you'll be good
Professor Elliot, or Prof E, as she insists on calling herself, has been the worst professor I have ever had at Binghamton University. It isn't her politics - I agree with most of them. It's that she doesn't respect her students as competent, who are capable of learning without her dictating their every sentence and paragraph of a project. Tedious.
Prof E was good for an elective, if you like theatre take her. Tests are open note so use that to get good grades. Classes are relaxing and informative, but you must go because she doesn't post slides. Most importantly she is understanding, and I would suggest her class if you're trying to get an elective done, receive an A with decent work & learn
Prof E. is very very political which you wouldnt expect from a theatre class. But besides that this class is perfect for an easy A elective. Just be sure when youre doing projects to read the directions carefully because you can get points off for stupid things.
"Prof E" is a nice woman if not somewhat eccentric, and you can tell that she's passionate about theater. However, for a 101 class the amount of work is ludicrous -- but as long as you follow the directions you'll get an easy A guaranteed. Quizzes/exams are open-note and she gives lots of extra credit opportunities. Class can get very political.
Ok class, horrible prof. Treats students like children. Assigned seating charts in LH. Required group discussions, must be transcribed and submitted but only given 2 mins to speak. Unbearably political to the point that even if you do agree with her, it'll make you roll you eyes. Expensive required readings/vids. Horrifically condescending. 0/5.
This class was easy and while the work is maddening/BS at times my TA was chill on grading. Attendance/participation is MANDATORY and is graded on chat logs and attendance quizzes. Also, slides aren't posted so be ready to quickly copy notes down. Prof E sometimes tries to enlighten topics but sometimes it can be forceful. 10/10 would take for an A
Compared to the other professors I have taken, this class is a gem. Who cares if the attendance is mandatory? The work she provides is simple, and you can get something out of the class if you are inclined. Overall, worth it for the A credit. Way better then Music Theory as of now. I also find her extremely kind and understanding of her students.
Class is so easy, yes there is a lot of work HOWEVER it takes ten minutes. You don't need a text book, and the one thing you "need a subscription for" you can find online for free. The midterm and final took me 10 minutes and I got 100's on both, they are ONLINE and OPEN NOTE. she is white who tries to be "one of the good ones"
Class is the definition of an easy A so I can recommend it for fulfilling a credit. That said she can be very pretentious and often treats students like high schoolers. Also would not recommend if political professors annoy you. I'm a poli sci major and we agree on most things but even I found her to be a bit much at sometimes
Attendance is mandatory with multiple random group calls in class, which makes it soul sucking to want to attend class. She's passionate, but it can be a very boring class if you are not interested in the arts. There are mandatory live plays and the projects are time consuming. If you can put with this then the only positive is that it's an easy A.
Prof. E is a fine professor, the class is an easy A if you do the work. Attendance and participation is mandatory, she will cold call. Assigned seating was kind of absurd. She mentions politics, many found that annoying, it didn't bother me so much. She drops the lowest two quiz grades and allows for a penalty free late assignment which is nice.
I highly recommend this class for a gen ed. Professor Elliot makes all the notes you need for the exams very clear and goes over all assignments in class and is also very accommodating to all her students. You will have to form groups and participate in class ,but the class is not too time consuming as long as you put in the work.
Easy A because all exams and quizzes are online. Very flexible and offers lots of bonus points. Very work heavy with all the projects. Lectures are extremely boring, attendance is mandatory, she doesn't provide her lecture slides, and she likes to call out students that don't provide ample answers. Very woke, but extremely passionate.
She's a nice person who has a lot of passion towards the subject, but the class felt unnecessarily difficult: assigned seating, mandatory participation, and long project assignments with very strict rubrics. This class was also unnecessarily woke. I didn't disagree with her opinions, but an intro to theater class is not the place to share them.
The class is set up in a way where it feels like you are in middle/high school all over again, but if you get past it and the politics it's really easy. All tests/quizzes are online and the projects are self explanatory. I wasn't ever really bothered by the format because the class was pretty easy and I suggest anyone take it for their "A" credit.
shes a nice woman who is passionate about theater but sometimes she does too much. mandatory attendance and participation, seating charts, chat logs. the assignments, quizzes, and exams are easy, they're all online and take home so its an easy A but just alot of work
Prof E was alright but sometimes does too much for no reason. Has a whole seating chart, cold calls groups, and she always shares her political thoughts. Her lectures were boring but attendance is mandatory. Tests were online so they were easy. Projects were all graded by the TA so hope your ta is chill. Overall should be a free A.
This class is ridiculous and the professor is horrible. She does way to much for no reason. Most kids are taking it for the gen ed credit and she makes it so difficult. She makes you have a seating chart like we are in highschool and her whole class is disorganzied. The projects are way to long and too much material. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS
Great if you want to be introduced to theater, otherwise FREE YOURSELF WHILE YOU CAN.
Out of the 4 years ive been going through this bs... This by far takes the cake for the most annoying class ive ever took. Easy gen ed well kinda, online exams my beloved. However You HAVE TO SHOW UP. She runs this class like a power tripping high school teacher. She wants total control over everything and will assign seats for the whole semester.
WAY TOO MUCH WORK. Most people are taking her class for the Gen Ed, and it would be a good course; just too much work for a 100-lvl. It's an easy A, participation + attendance matters, and lectures are whatever; it's the outside of class work that kills you slowly. Project guidelines are extremely clear, just too much work.
If I could describe this class in one word, it would be “dictatorship.” The professor runs the course with an iron fist and seems completely unaware of how much work they pile onto students. Every week feels like a new mountain of assignments, quizzes, and random tasks that don't actually help you learn just busywork for the sake of busywork.
Better suited for someone who likes strict structure and detailed rules.
Course expectations are high but not always clearly justified.
Not much room for student voice in assignments.
The workload is much heavier than necessary for the course level.
Heavy emphasis on following exact instructions.
The structure feels more like high school than a college course.
Lots of work, not much flexibility.
I now have trust issues with syllabi.
I've never been micromanaged by a PDF until now.
The workload made me question my life, major, and breakfast choices
My creativity is currently being held hostage by the assignment guidelines.
Every project feels like assembling IKEA furniture without the pictures.
Didn't expect to learn time management, patience, and pain tolerance all in one course.
This class took my GPA, shook it like a snow globe, and walked away.
I opened the syllabus and heard thunder in the distance.
I aged 40 years and gained a spirit animal just trying to follow the instructions.
Assignments so specific I started wondering if we were training for NASA.
Group projects felt like assembling the Avengers… with no superpowers.
This class actively discourages actual intelligent thinking as students are only allowed to describe the material with three phrases which are at a 2nd grade level of complexity.Other then that the class is essentially a high school class but in a college setting. Incredibly annoying grading, hope the TA isn't incredibly strict as they grade it all
Shes tedious and very particular so everything is laid out for u to pass if u just show up, the homework is crazy annoying but like whatever, worst part of the class is the amount of things she expects u to buy but bro in the big 25 u can find anything for free.anyone saying shes too woke just doesn't realize theatre and art is inherently political
Lowkey everyone is hating on her, but the problem was mainly the workload. I get this class is just for your gen-eds so its annoying to read some textbook sections, but as long as you do the work you can make it out with an 100% easy. You have to go into a chat-group and I think it gives you a good group of people to go to for questions.
Everything is so specific if u fail its fully on u bro
genuinely easiest class of my life. free A
a lot of work but easy A
one person review bombing her crazy leaving like 20 one star reviews. She really isnt bad shes a nice professor and understanding with lateness. She gives a set amount of drops, absences, and lateness. Her instructions are always extremely clear.for my class she didnt give a seating chart she let us choose and those were j our seats.
class annoying but doable. whenever a male professor assigns a lot of work or has slight annoying things abt his lectures he gets praised and glazed. hm....
The amount of work she gives is lowk crazy, but it isn't hard. The projects are clearly outlined its actually impossible to fail. Every quiz, the midterm, AND the final are online and open note. If you failed the class, just say you didn't do ANY work and didn't go to lecture. In lecture, prepare to take quick notes cause she doesn't post slides
She's honestly the worst professor ever. She is incredibly rude to her students, stops class for no reason just to yell at students (she lowkey goes on a power trip), and literally makes stuff up just to fit her own narrative. I genuinely don't understand how she still has a job here. I recommend never taking her ever!!!!!!!!!
Treats you with no respect and way too much work for a gen ed. I would try to find a different class if possible. You will get an A though if you do the work but it was such a drag. Also seating charts for 150 people.
She can be a bit rude if you're talking or don't answer a question correctly. Overall I found the workload pretty good and easy to manage. I love her note taking structure and wish all my professors implemented it, her slides highlight exactly what you need to write down it's so helpful. And the tests will only be on material from your notes.
Yall cooked easy class but horrible prof. Yall are such newgens. Maybe stay at a subpar public university for 3 more years garentee you will think the same. She's horrible
Overall, this class is definitely an easy A if you take the work seriously. As long as you turn in stuff on time and follow the directions (she will literally show you exactly what to do on projects), your TA should give you 100s. Also, if you're worried about your grade, DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!! Her work is not hard, just time consuming.
Easy A if you do the work. Professor can be passive-aggressive at times.
Annoying professor BUT very easy class. If you can ignore everything she says and only copy the notes (she doesn't post) then you can get through this very easily. You do have to pay for two shows to watch and complete lots of assignments. Cold calls and assigned seating in class (which is mandatory)
Unpopular opinion, the hardest part was honestly the online exams. 50 questions in an hour isn't terrible but scavenging around your virtual notes to find the one that applied got tedious and took longer than a minute for each. That aside, it's definitely a work heavy class, but easy 100's. You will learn a lot, and you can manage!
